Yuudai

simply watched on as more people arrived. Some were yokai from the shrine there, like the paper dragon named Kyorinrin, who seemed to care for the books immensely. He was a bit annoying, but it was good to be careful.

After deciding that the others were at least decent people, he waited by listening to the sounds around them. The wind, the leaves, distant clangs, and loud screeches of twisting metal. Interesting, to say the least.

As soon as everyone assembled, alarms suddenly sounded. He didn't really think that the air-raid siren fit in with the aesthetics of the shrine, but he supposed that it was only natural to adapt to the times. For a bell to be loud enough, it'd have to be several times larger; the siren was the better option. After realizing that he was left behind, he began walking to catch up. Yuudai missed the first part of what was going on, but it seemed that he was working with Niko and someone named Takemi to secure the area they were heading to.

The giant wolf-dog outside was probably Inugami.

Yuudai was about to jump onto his back since the Head Priestess had said that they would be riding him, but paused when Inugami said ”Are you all related to snails? Hurry up.”

He walked up to Inugami's face and stared at him.

Niko called out to hurry up.

Yuudai gave Inugami a swift chop in the snout before vaulting onto his back.
After landing, Niko gave them the words to start their mission. Hearing her command, Yuudai rummaged around in his brown side-bag for a few seconds before pulling out a disproportionately large barrel-magazine shotgun.

Yuudai found his new abilities convenient.

finally arrived at the entrance of the path to the shrine. He had taken his time walking over, greeting every animal he saw along the way and helping people he passed by. However, before he could begin making his way up the path, Inugami suddenly flew past overhead.

"Hmm, that can't be good." Chasing after them on foot, he called out, "Ei! Wait for meee~!"
... wait
did Suzue touch the light switch in the guy's house or something?
I
am not sure what to post

maybe I shouldn't have have just started at the shrine :|
wow, rereading my post I'm realizing how messy it is.
I guess I should clarify that Yuudai was at the shrine for the introduction?

Remember kids, sleep-deprived and after-party posting is bad
parties tire me out...
Yuudai
supposed that today was going to be interesting.

He didn't particularly care about the rumors of the supernatural; he was just wandering around yesterday night and his path led him to the shrine. When he and the others learned that the rumors were true, Yuudai couldn't understand why they were shocked. After all, the yokai had always existed--the discovery was like learning a new fact in school: interesting, but not exactly world-shaking.

Then again, people have told him that he was very unemotional.

Eh, whatever.

It probably would've been easier to just ignore this stuff and go about his daily life, but they--the onmyoji and yokai at the shrine--seemed good-intentioned. However, he still felt a sense of danger from Tsugu. The tanuki hadn't done anything bad yet, but it was enough to prompt Yuudai to throw paper shurikens at him.

stretched himself out on a park bench.

The sun was really~ nice that afternoon, a good time to recharge. The period right after spring was a quiet period for him, since couples were just happily spending time with each other. Towards the end of summer break, things became a bit busier. Relationships formed during their vacation, so people steeled themselves to confess. Some were just students, praying for a good year.

Thinking about students, Kuharu remembered a rumor that he'd heard. "Mmn~ there are new onmyoji at the shrine now, aren't there?" It was quite an unusual occasion, so the word traveled fast. Maybe it'd be a good time to visit; he hadn't seen Tsugu in a while. Maybe Suzue would be there as well.

"Alright! Let's go!" he said with a surprising amount of energy. Kuharu really liked them; they were always nice to him, for some reason.
