Call me Kleio. I’m a 25 year old American living in Moscow, with over ten years of roleplay experience. (No, I was not a cool teenager.)

I’m okay sometimes.

Hello there!

I go by Kleio; I’m 25 years old, and I have been writing on and off for the last 10+ years of my life.

I’m really in the mood to get a historical romance/character drama going.

You can find below some basic info on plots I’m interested in. However, I find the best stories are the formed with collaboration, so if any of this sounds interesting to you — shoot me a message and I’ll shower you with more details.

Age of Sail — Our characters grew up together in the English countryside: a gentry boy (your character) and a low-class girl (my character), who becomes a housemaid at his family’s Estate. In their teen years, an incident occurs and the girl runs off – never to return again. Ten years later, the boy is now a high-ranking officer in the Royal Navy, tasked with stamping out the threat of Piracy; what he doesn’t know is that she is one of them. I've been playing around with the idea of doing this roleplay in volumes; establishing their relationship and the "incident", before moving on to them reuniting years later.

Regency Era — looking to explore the following tropes: enemies to lovers, love triangles, forbidden love, arranged marriages/fake relationships, and so much more.

Medieval Fantasy — would love to do something inspired by GoT/HotD, rife with political scandal and intrigue. Can be strictly medieval or could also include fantasy elements. I do have a Regency fantasy idea I’d love to try as well.

While I am looking to write principally from a female perspective, I am a huge fan of developing a wide cast of characters (some more prominent in the story than others), and some of the voices I pick up will undoubtedly be male. I’d prefer to write opposite someone with a similar outlook on this as myself, because I find it fosters a lot of richness and creative potential in the story. With that said, “doubling” in the traditional sense is, therefore, a possibility!

Now, a bit more about me as a writer and what I’m looking for in a partner — I love character driven stories, rife with emotional conflict and drama. I tend to write in the multi-para/novella style, but I try to tailor my response length to the situation (smaller replies when partaking in fast paced dialogue), but sometimes I do get carried away. Typically, my post length is anywhere from 400-2k+ words, but I never expect anyone to match my length. As long as you’re pushing the story forward, and can put up with the occasional tangent from me, that’s all I care about. I also prefer to write via email threads or Google Docs — something of that nature. Anything with character/word limits doesn’t really jive with me.

In terms of availability — generally, I try to shoot for at least 1 response per week. I am a huge proponent of the “real life first” model of roleplaying. This is a story I would like to invest in over the long-term, and sometimes life just gets in the way. Real life always comes first, and I will never hound you for a response. Burn out is a real thing, and I’d like to avoid putting undue pressure on my fellow collaborator.

Oh! Before I forget — I am only interested in writing with people 20 or older.

I think that’s all from me! Feel free to drop me a line with a writing sample (ptolemaiic@gmail.com) if any of this piques your interest. I’ll send you a sample of my own, and then we can get to plotting!

Thank you for your time! 💖

Hello!

Thanks for spending a few precious moments of your life reading this.

A bit about me — I go by Kleio. I’m twenty four years old, and I have been writing and roleplaying since I was a teenager. I recently moved from the US to Russia, and I am eager to get back into the familiarity of writing, as everything else around me is quite foreign.

Currently, I am interested in developing a long-term story that centers around an OC of mine and a relationship from her past. (However, the other half of this relationship is largely open to your interpretation.) She is a Night Elf Death Knight and former Sentinel who was turned while away at war. At the time of her death (undeath?) she was engaged and/or married to a Kaldorei male who she had known since her youth. Our story would either begin at the beginning of their relationship and then jump forward in time to when they crossed paths again in the future, or, if we plot it out enough, we could just jump in to them being reunited.

This is pretty much the “bare bones” of what I’d like to do. However, she is a long-standing character of mine, and I have a lot of ideas and details about her that I would love to share once we get plotting. I also have some very vague ideas for the figure from her past, and I would be happy to elaborate on them further. Those are just ideas, however — I’m very interested in hearing your interpretation!

Due to the darker themes that will inevitably be present in this story, I am looking for a partner who is 18+ and who is willing to deal with mature, sometimes gory, themes. I would also greatly prefer if my partner was comfortable writing side/background characters, as that is something I enjoy doing and I find that it adds a lot of richness to the story.

In terms of availability, my schedule will be pretty crazy until January rolls around. So, my goal until then is a minimum of one response per week, but I hope to increase that once my schedule changes. I’m not the type of person to hound you for a response. We are all adults and have lives and things to do, but I would just appreciate a heads up or a check in if it’s going to be an extended period of time. Again, I would like for this to be a long-term story, so feel free to go on a month long vacation — I’ll still be here.

Anyway, I think that’s it? It’s been a while since I’ve made one of these. Thanks for reading, and don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions. (I’m also happy to exchange writing samples to ensure our styles match.)

I look forward to hearing from you, and I hope you are safe, happy, and healthy.
