Glad to see you're back, Noire. Team Scarab began climbing Mt. Dragoncoil, and they encountered a pit that Terra wouldn't be able to cross. They decided to look up ahead for something that could help, and ran into a couple of Josh's friends from the reef. You didn't miss anything important in DA.
Tony suggested that Val was still getting used to her new ears. He was probably right. If there was something out there, she probably would have seen it.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Ralph said.
Tony then went outside, and came back moments later saying that he'd just cut down a tree that would make a good support beam for the cave. Ralph knew he wouldn't be able to carry it, so he stayed behind. For some reason, Val seemed to think she'd be able to carry it, and went outside to do so. Ralph wondered how she was going to do it. She didn't have arms, and it didn't look like she'd be able to carry it on her back.
Moments later, she came back, carrying the tree with what appeared to be shadow arms. It seemed to take a lot of energy. She was trembling, and her nose was starting to bleed.
"You don't look so good, Val. You might want to limit the use of that power you got there."
"Alright, let's see if we can find something." Matt said. "Hopefully we can do it quickly."
They continued up the mountain, looking closely for something they could use. Unfortunately, there wasn't really anything to look for. Josh hoped they would run into an abandoned camp or something, but it didn't seem like anybody had been here for a while. He heard the sound of rushing water up ahead, but that was probably just a waterfall. He didn't think there would be anything there, but surprisingly he heard a voice up ahead.
"What do you mean 'it's stuck'? Try moving it around a little. I don't want to be hanging here all day."
Josh recognized this voice. He couldn't quite tell who it was, but it was familiar. As they went around the corner, he saw an Octillery being pulled up the waterfall by a bunch of ropes. "Wait! Someone's coming. I think they saw me." The Octillery looked at them. "Who are you? I swear, you'd better not be working for Zane, or I'll-" He stopped as he noticed Josh in the bucket. "No friggin' way. Ray, look who finally decided to show up!"
A Mantine peeked over the edge of the waterfall. "Who is it?"
"Hey guys." Josh said. "It's been a while." He turned to the others. "That's Eddie and Ray. They're from the reef."
"We're setting up a camp just at the top of this waterfall here." Eddie said. "You and your friends are welcome to stay if you like."
"Well, you see, we can't stay for too long. We have a job to do here." Josh said.
"That's too bad." Eddie said. "Still, if everyone else knew you were okay, it would lift their spirits a little. They'll need it, the way things are now. And, also, we could help out with this job of yours, if you like."
"Actually, we do need a little help." Josh said. "We have someone who's stranded back there. Do you have any more of those ropes?"
"Yeah, we have more up in the camp. You and your friends can borrow some of them, if you like." Eddie said.
"Thanks." Josh said. He turned to the others. "Come on, let's go."
Matt carried Josh up to the top of the waterfall, hoping the others would follow.
Alright then. It's getting kind of late, so I'll get an IC post up tomorrow, hopefully.
OK, I messed up. When I checked to see the weights of all the team members, I got Mawile's weight mixed up with Mega Mawile's. So, I thought Terra was just over 50 pounds when I was writing those last two IC posts. Should I edit, or just leave it like it is?
"No, I never killed anyone. You don't need to worry about that." Josh said. "You might have already figured this out, but I'm not from Allure Town. I came from a reef out in the middle of the ocean. Zane - that's the Clawitzer we ran into yesterday - is the most powerful Pokemon on the reef, and everyone's scared of him, so he's the one that controls everything. He chooses a few Pokemon to watch over everyone else, and keep them in line, while the rest of us are forced to work on the farms for our entire lives. He barely feeds us, too. I had to steal food from the farms to survive. I never got caught, but if I did, Zane probably would've killed me. Eventually, I just got tired of it and left. I thought I was the only one, but apparently other Pokemon followed me."

Terra seemed pretty angry about Matt being unable to lift her across. Both Blaze and Matt were trying to calm her down, to no avail. Josh tried to think of something. They could always go look for something up ahead, but Terra probably wouldn't like that. They were out of options, though. If nobody else could think of something, then that's what they'd have to do. By now, Terra seemed to have calmed down. Maybe she would be more
"I'll go talk to Josh and Anthony, OK? They might have thought of something." Matt said. He floated over to them, with a worried look on his face. "I hope you two have thought of something. Terra may have calmed down, but that most likely won't last long."
"Maybe we could look for something up ahead." Josh suggested. "It's the only thing I can think of. Terra probably won't be too thrilled about it, though."
"No, I'm sure she won't" He looked over at Anthony. "Please tell me you've thought of something better."
Yeah, I guess. Are we waiting for Noire to return, or going on without him?
This has been moving pretty slowly lately, hasn't it?
Terra was in a rush to get to the top of the mountain. Josh didn't know why. He had no idea what their goal was, but it didn't seem time-sensitive. If it was, then they probably wouldn't have waited in Scale City for a day before coming here.
They were attacked by a Dratini soon after they started their ascent. It didn't cause them too much trouble, as Terra finished it off quickly, but up ahead was a much bigger problem. There was a hole in the path that hindered their progress. Anthony could stick to the walls, Matt could float, and Josh and Blaze were light enough to be carried by Matt, but they had no way of getting Terra across. There were vines connecting the two sides, but they were old and withered. There was no way they would support anyone's weight.
"Well, this is a problem." Matt said. "Might as well do what I can." He carried Josh over to the other side of the pit, placing him beside Anthony. "You two stay here. I'll go back with the other two and hopefully we'll find a way to get Terra over here."
He floated over to the other side, leaving Josh and Anthony alone.
"So, I guess you're wondering what happened yesterday, huh?" Josh said. "I think I owe you an explanation."
Terra seemed to be in a rush, since she took off before she even got an answer from Hex. Anthony seemed to be having trouble catching up, and so did Matt. It didn't take too long for Terra to disappear into the crowd, but Anthony seemed to know where he was going, so Matt followed behind him. That didn't last too long, though. A Gabite pushed his way between them, and as Matt tried to catch up, a Tyrantrum walked in front of him. Before long, Josh and Matt completely lost sight of both Anthony and Terra.
"You didn't just lose them, did you?" Josh asked. He couldn't really see anything, since he was still trying to hide in his bucket.
"It's not a problem. I can see the mountain from here." Matt said. "Let's hope they're waiting for us."

As they left the city, Josh finally didn't feel the need to hide. He was still glancing around, though. The other search team had either gone down the mountain last night, or were coming down at this moment. He had to be cautious.
Anthony and Terra were waiting for them at the base of the mountain. Terra seemed pretty impatient, as if Anthony made her wait for them.
"Oh! There you are." Matt said. "Sorry we took so long. There was an awfully large crowd back there."
