Matt stopped in front of the guild. "We've arrived. Now, I do believe we've done this before."
Josh knew what was about to happen. "Alright, just make it quick."
Once again, he was taken out of the bucket and placed on the metal grate. The last time they did this, they were greeted with nothing but silence. This time, however, a voice came from below. "Pokemon detected!" There was a slight pause. "I think it's a...Skrelp."
Another voice was heard. "Another fish out of water? We've been getting a lot of those lately, haven't we?"
The first voice began to speak again. "Okay, we need to see your friend now."
Matt put Josh back in the bucket, and floated above the grate. "Pokemon detected! A Reuniclus! A Reuniclus!"
The gate opened, allowing them to enter. Josh looked up at Matt. "What was that?"
"I told you, it's for identification purposes. Now, I believe we need to meet guildmaster Audino. We'll have to go inside for that."
Josh had to admit that he was nervous while they were going through the door. How would all of the guild members react to him being carried around in a bucket?
Josh woke up much earlier than the rest of the town. The streets were empty, and most of the shops were closed. This was good. It gave him some time to think about whether or not he was going to join the guild. He knew he would be a liability. That would drive away most potential teammates. There was also the possibility that he'd go exploring somewhere and run into Zane. There were many downsides to joining the guild, but if he could gain enough power to beat Zane, as well as have some friends to help him, the downsides didn't matter. Plus, it was better than sitting here and waiting for Zane to find him.

He waited for a while. By the time Matt came outside, the streets were filled with Pokemon. Josh already made his decision. "Get the bucket, Matt. We're going to the guild."
Matt smiled. "I knew you would make the right choice."
Although he hated travelling around in a bucket, he still knew he had to. As they headed to the guild, Josh began to think. Hopefully they would let him join. There probably wouldn't be any other aquatic Pokemon there. He had to find a team that wouldn't mind carrying him around until he learned how to move around on his own. He figured it wouldn't be too much of a problem, though.
Yeah, I'm ready.
"Ah! Here we are."
Matt had stopped outside a large Audino-shaped building. Josh looked up at it. "What's this? Where are we?"
"This is Arnold's Guild. It's where adventurers go to-"
"Wait. Adventurers?" Josh shook his head. "No. I'm not going in there. I know what you're trying to do, and it's not happening."
"It will allow you to become stronger. Strong enough to defeat the one who's hunting you."
Josh was suddenly pulled out of the bucket and placed on a metal grate. "What are you doing?"
"This is for identification purposes. Listen." Josh couldn't hear anything. Matt picked him up with telekinesis and put him back in the bucket. "Odd. They don't seem to be here." He then looked up at the sky. "Oh! It appears to be getting late. Perhaps they're eating dinner currently, or sleeping." He turned around, and headed back. "No matter. We'll come back tomorrow."

Once they arrived at the house, Matt put Josh back into the pond. "I know it was wrong of me to try to force you to join the guild. I would like you to consider what I said, though."
Josh sighed. He hated to admit it, but what Matt said back there was right. It might take a while, but the guild will make him strong enough to beat Zane. He couldn't travel on land, though, and since most of the places he'd be exploring are on land, it would be difficult. He would have to rely on others most of the time. He fell asleep while thinking about it. Morning would be the best time to decide.
Josh had been sulking a the bottom of the pond for a while now. He had a lot on his mind at the moment, and just needed some time to think. Unfortunately, Matt soon appeared to interrupt his thoughts. "Hello? Are you still down there?"

Josh came up to the surface. "What do you want?" He clearly didn't want to talk at the moment.

"I'm aware that you aren't exactly in the mood to talk at the moment, but hear me out. I know about your past. The madman hunting you down, the girl, your old life as a farmer - I know about it all, and I believe I know a way to improve your current situation."

"How-"

"You've been sending telepathic messages in your sleep. I've been recieving them, and I believe many others have heard them as well." He put Josh in a bucket filled with water. "There's somewhere I need to take you."

"This is really degrading."

"It's the only mode of transport for you at the moment."

Matt had a point. Still, it looked pretty strange. A Reuniclus carrying a Skrelp around in a bucket isn't something you see every day.

Where is the IC thread?

There are two tabs to the left of the subscribe button. One for IC, the other one for OOC.

Aaaaand I was ninja'd.
Josh watched the Magikarp that was flopping its way through the street. He sighed. A freaking Magikarp, a Pokemon that is known for its weakness, was able to travel on land, and yet he couldn't. He tried to move on land several times before, and never made it more than three feet away. Now this guy's doing it like it's nothing.

An explosion came from the inside of Matt's house, follwed by a slight chuckle. "Note to self: that method doesn't work." Matt's head poked through the newly-shattered window. "Did I get glass in the pond? Terribly sorry. I'll clean it up in a moment." Josh was beginning to wonder what Matt was doing in there. That was the fifth explosion this week. As much as he wanted to ask, there was something else on his mind.

Matt emerged from the house, and started to pull the shards of glass out of the water. Using his own psychic powers, Josh began to help. It didn't take long for them to get all of it. As Matt began to go back inside, Josh stopped him. "How do you float like that?" He knew that Reuniclus float using their psychic powers. He assumed that he'd be able to do it as well.

Matt tried to think of a response. "It's kind of difficult to explain. It comes naturally to me. It would be like asking you how to swim." He paused for a moment. "You know what you did with the glass there? You needed to focus on it in order to do that. Now, try doing the same thing, but focus on yourself instead. It may be a little difficult at first."

Josh nodded, and closed his eyes. He did as Matt said. He put all of his concentration into trying to lift himself out of the water. This went on for several minutes, but no matter how hard he tried he didn't move. He sighed, sinking down into the water. "This is hopeless."

"It just takes a bit of practice. You'll learn eventually, don't worry."

Matt went back inside, and Josh let himself sink to the bottom of the pond. After seeing how that Magikarp was able to travel on land effortlessly, he felt really pathetic.
Josh's eyes opened slowly. Beams of sunlight were shining on him, slightly distorted by the slight ripple of the waves above him. A new day had started. As he poked his head above the surface, he was greeted by the usual sights and sounds of Allure Town. The bright colours and hues had taken a while to get used to after living underwater his whole life, but several months had passed, and by now it almost seemed normal. Almost.

He tried to put everything that happened on the reef behind him. A part of him wished that he could go back, and be with Keira, but he knew that wasn't possible. Zane would use him as an example to show what happens to workers who tried to run away. As much as he missed Keira, he had to stay here. It was the oonly place where he could be safe. He shook his head, and tried to keep those thoughts out of his mind. This was the present, after all. Lingering in the past wasn't something he wanted to do.
Here's mine.
My CS is done. Should I post it now, or wait until the OOC is up?
