David was clearly in pain. The slightest bump made him wince, and since there was nobody left to maintain the roads, there were a lot of them. As much as Kyle was trying to avoid them, they were bound to hit one occasionally.
"How much longer 'till we get there? I can't take this for much longer."
"Shouldn't take too long. I'm pretty sure my dad has first aid supplies at the farm."
"Kyle...I don't want to be all pessimistic or anything, but...your dad...I don't think he made it."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Just look out the window for a sec."
There were zombies stumbling around outside - not as much as there were in Marshall City, but still a lot. Other than that, there wasn't anythong unusual.
"Don't you see? Things are probably just as bad in Spencer's Mill as they were back there. I ain't saying I know for sure he's dead, but...I don't think there were too many survivors."
Kyle didn't respond. There was a pothole up ahead, which he intentionally drove through, hoping it would shut Dave up.

Neither of them talked for a while. It wasn't until there were buildings on the horizon that Dave spoke up again. "There it is."
Kyle nodded.
Dave looked around awkwardly. It was clear that Kyle was still pretty pissed at him. "Think that guy in the back's gonna wake up soon?"
"Don't know. I hope so."
Kyle looked into the rear-view mirror. The guy was still breathing, which was good. He still wasn't awake, though.
"EYES ON THE FUCKING ROAD, MAN!"
Kyle looked ahead just in time to see a zombie on the road in front of him. He slammed on the brakes, but still hit it hard enough to sent it flying several feet. He kept driving, knowing the noise from that had attracted many walkers that happened to be nearby.
One of the Mawile was paralyzed by Shannon. This gave Hex an opportunity to finish it off. Josh glanced over at the knocked-out Mawile for a moment. "Great, we got one." He turned back to the other one. "One left."
The remaining Mawile was going for Matt. Once again, Matt had the Mawile's enormous jaws latched onto his arm.
"I got it!" Josh said, aiming another stream of water at the attacker. It let go of Matt's arm immediately, and turned to Josh. "Oh no...I need some help!"
He was now struggling to get away, pushing himself across the ground with his psychic powers. He was moving very slowly, though. The Mawile would get to him if it wasn't dealt with quickly.
Sorry, I was knd of busy with school and stuff.
The Mawile let Josh fall as it went to attack Shannon. He was lying on the ground now, unable to do anything while everyone else was fighting off the Mawile. His eyes shifted over to the bucket. All of the water had been spilled out into a small puddle around it. Josh sighed. Unless they could find some sort of underground lake down here, he would have to go without water until they got back to Allure.

His attention shifted back to his teammates. They were all firing attacks at the Mawile, except for Matt, who was putting up Reflect and Light Screen. He tried to use Water Gun on one of the Mawile, but it was too far away. It did come close, though. If Josh could just get a little closer he'd be able to hit it. He couldn't, though. He just ended up flopping around in the same spot, barely moving at all.

He had another idea. If he could use his psychic powers to push himself just a few feet forward, the Mawile would be within range. It was a long shot, but what was the worst that could happen. He closed his eyes, trying to concentrate. He had to do the same thing he does to move objects, but he had to do it on himself. That was what Matt told him.

Surprisingly, it worked. He only moved a few inches, but he was still able to do it. He tried it again. And again. He was moving slowly, but at least he was moving. Once he got to a point where the Mawile was in range, he fired a Water Gun at it.
The Mawile, who was focusing on everyone else, was caught completely off guard. The stream of water knocked it to the ground, leaving it open for more attacks.
Kyle noticed a couple of walkers stumbling around nearby. He kept his gun pointed at the bandit, but didn't shoot. He knew more noise would just draw more of them, and he didn't want to risk it unless this guy tried to make a move on him. In the end, he didn't. He just drove away, and most of the zombies followed him, drawn to the noise from the car.
"Kyle! What the fuck was that?" David said. "Did you really just let him get away?"
"Shut up and get to the jeep." Kyle said, walking over to the guy laying on the ground. His gun was on the ground nearby, along with his radio and police baton. Kyle grabbed the baton and the gun, not seeing much use for the broken radio. He started to drag the guy along the ground, towards the jeep.
Dave had already limped his way over to the passenger seat by the time Kyle put the unconscious guy in the back. "I'll just see if there's anything in this gas station."
"Try to find a first aid kit or something. This hurts like hell."

There wasn't much left in the gas station. The bandits, along with everyone else that might have been here before, took almost everything. There were a few gas canisters left. There was more than enough in them to get to Spencer's Mill. There was also a few energy bars and some beef jerky. Besides that, there wasn't much left that they could use. He felt bad walking out of there without a first aid kit.

Once he got back to the jeep, Kyle handed all of the food he managed to find to Dave. He then started filling the jeep up with gas.
Dave looked at him through the window. "No first aid kit?"
"Nope. Sorry, man. Maybe once we get to Spencer's Mill we'll find one."
Kyle put what was left of the gas in the back with the unconscious guy, then got into the driver's seat. They didn't know anything about what was going on in Spencer's Mill. Hopefully it wasn't as bad as Marshall City.
As the Sableye fell from the ledge, Josh aimed a Water Gun at it. Hitting a falling target wasn't as easy as he thought it would be. His attack ended up missing, and the Sableye ran into the darkness of the cave. "So, are we going after him?" Josh said, looking back at the rest of the group.
"I think we should focus our attention on finding Leeroy." Matt said. "I'd like to be out of here as soon as possib - Ah!"

A Mawile managed to sneak up behind Matt, and was currently biting down on his arm. A second one appeared, and knocked the bucket out of his hand. Josh flopped onto the ground, and the second Mawile went for him. He tried to get away, but couldn't get anywhere. He just ended up flopping around in the same spot. "Stay away!" He fired a Water Gun at the Mawile, and although that managed to slow it down, it still got to him. It threw him into the air, catching Josh in its mouth. He began to panic. He tried to fire another Water Gun at it, but before he got a chance, he was being thrown into the air again.
I have a Scyther that needs to be evolved. If you help me evolve it I'll hold on to your Pokemon for a while.
That should get the thread moving. Sorry for taking so long.
Noxxus made his way down the street, running his hand along the sides of the buildings to guide himself. It was pretty early, so besides the occasional sound of footsteps, there wasn't a lot of people outside yet. That was the only reason Noxxus woke up this early. The less people to run into, the better.
Once he was starting to get close to the store, he heard someone walking towards him. "Hey." It was Lara, his assistant. She got there before him, as usual. "Oric and Blyte aren't here yet."
"No surprise there." He said. They usually took a while to arrive. It wasn't a huge issue, though, since they still get there before there are a lot of customers. He handed the keys to Lara. She would have a lot less trouble unlocking the door than he would.

Noxxus heard a soft buzzing sound as Lara turned on the lights. They both went behind the counter in case any customers came in before Oric and Blyte showed up. Fifteen minutes passed, and there was still no sign of them. Lara sighed. "Why did you hire those two in the first place? Were a couple of idiot teenagers really the best candidates?"
"Believe it or not, they were." Noxxus said. "It was hard finding people who were willing to work here."
Just then, he heard loud music coming from a car driving by outside. Moments later, Oric and Blyte came through the door.
Lara seemed angry at them. "You're late again."
"Only fifteen minutes. It's not that much."
"Well, you come in fifteen minutes late every day. If you add it up, that's-"
Noxxus decided to interrupt. "I'll handle this, Lara."
Lara didn't say anything else. She just left the room.
"I've given you two plently of warnings. How many times is this going to repeat?"
"You're not firing us, are you?" Oric said.
"Not yet. I'm giving you one more chance. This is your last warning."
He then went into his office, leaving the two alone. He could hear Blyte talking as he left the room. "He's told us that a million times. He won't fire us."

Lara was in there, shuffling some papers around."There was a bit of a delay on that fungus you ordered last week. You'll have to wait two more days for it to come in." She put the papers down for a moment. "Please tell me you did something about them."
"I told them this was their last chance."
"Their 'last chance' was three months ago. Fire one of them, at least."
"I will, if they're late again tomorrow."
"Alright." She was about to leave the room, but peeked back in for a second. "If you don't, then I'm leaving."
Noxxus sat down at his desk. He had a decision to make. He couldn't let Lara go. That meant it had to be one of the boys, or both if the other one doesn't get the message.
Sorry. I'll get a post up as soon as I can.
