Camping is best if they don't know you're watching from the distance.
Communication is often key, and a lot easier than one would assume. A lot of conflicts I've been around in RPs have been solved by a GM putting their foot down, or communicating with the players and coming to a final decision.
Seven eye of ender.
I don't usually use numbers outside of Bleach(keeps things easier there), so I resolve conflicts by listening to both sides and going with the better option. You are the GM, so ultimately, you can decide th best course for the RP.

Mostly, you won't make everyone happy, but from what or seen, unless the resolution is completely out there or unfair, most will go along with it.

You can decide when to lose when it's bear for the story. Or, prior to it taking place deciding whether losing or winnin is better for the continuation. For Allaria, I have set points where losing is the option, but I let them get there how they like. For instance, there was a war at the beginning that wasn't meant to be won and wasn't.

Just know they can and will die. If you don't want them too, then they won't. You can have them survive if they are pertinent to the story later. But if their ultimate purpose has been served, then killing them off can be a good point and morale booster for the players. Make them think they are doing well in the story.

Tell them their characters have a chance to die. People usually accept that line. But don't kill them just because Lols, that'll turn people off.

In other words, you can definitely have conflict resolution without numbers. It's mostly based on what you think will be the best course of action. People have been doing it on Guild for a while now.
I don't mind them. If people want to do them, then more power to them.

However, I don't join them.

As some have said before, it's all about finding the right people. I don't RP anymore [last time I did was 2012, I think], but I'm sure that if a certain black guy can have the stroke of luck to find me on IRC and tell me about something, I'd join it [not taking into account time constraints, lel].

"Stroke of Luck." ;D

ANyway, I prefer the standard split to the genre split. It puts people in places they feel best at. And so far, it's worked for me. I've seen Allaria through two chapters of completion and could probably make it through a third.

I came from Myyearbook's forums, and that... that wasn't terrible, once people started using paragraphs, but since there weren't many threads that weren't interconnected to the big multiverse, we had a mix of people. Paragraphs, one liners, etc., etc. When I joined Guild, I was happy. I learned that I was more Casual, but eventually became advanced.

The biggest problem, as said before, usually comes down to people. Guild has a small attention span and with the sheer amount of games to play... people join others, as said before, and slowly stretch themselves thin. Also, misconstrued notions of each section and how there is a bias against them. I don't do Free, I only put my Bleach RP in Casual, and the rest are in advanced.

It works for me. Sure, games don't get completed, but I don't expect most of them too. People have lives, people lost interest. Just have fun.
Drakel said Is there really a major difference between the two? Why/Why not?

Not particularly, in either event, it's taking the RP over. Either before it started or after.

Drakel said What are your Opinions on these examples?

Doesn't bother me. If I start something and life takes me away, either before I've started it, or after, then I'd be glad if someone took it over. What am I gonna do? Have a hissyfit because they liked it enough to continue without me?

Drakel said Should either of these Be allowed in the Guild? Why/Why not?

Yes. There is really nothing wrong with it, unless you own a copyright to the RP.

Drakel said If you were GMing would you be cool with either of these happening to your RP? Why/Why Not?

Yep. I've given up a Bleach RP because I couldn't do it anymore.

Drakel said Would you be cool if other members did this to RPs that are NOT yours (but you are in)? Why/Why Not?

Yeah. If I joined the RP because I liked it, it likely doesn't matter the GM - unless it's someone I've had problems with before.

WHERE DID YOU FIND THE WOLVES???plz

Somewhere, honestly, don't remember. There were only a few and I think Mikey tamed one and lost it when he TP'd. xD
I prefer no posting order, if it can be helped. I also encourage not tying your posts in to a specific person posting, because if they don't post, then you can't post, then it's a chain reaction of "Can't do without X". It's one of my biggest pet peeves to have someone say they can't post because of X not posting, when they can post. It comes off as "I don't want to post right now, so lemme blame this person". I'd rather you tell me you don't want to post.

But yeah, I see no real positives of a posting order. The only order I would have is Me, then the rest of the players, then Me. So on and so forth for the duration.
You should have been on when we were trying to find a Jungle and a desert.

OMFG.

That was hell. It's terrible when you find a Mooshroom ISland first. But, I did find Wolves, but no ocelets.
