Well, skins can always come later since he is originally intended for the Arena Continuum (partially).
The problem with Brain Eating is that it goes against his method of skin harvesting....
Though, maybe I could have the ritual separate the target into piles? Organs pile, bones pile, brain circle and then the skin is left behind...
You can have him do a different ritual as a trial run of sorts. Every character evolves. Hahaha.
