What if he's a moving plotpoint? The one they characters have to chase around for an info or something.
That'd be fine if he moved once every so often, to a hidden location forcing people to travel to him. Not every post by the controller having him jump places.
Usually God characters and those of that ilk don't move around too much. They'll commonly be used less, so they don't end up just being someone's high tier character that they use more than their characters that actually fight.
For example, in tournaments, most of the 'too strong for this shit' characters stayed out of the fights and out of the main areas where the combatants are. They stuck to themselves, mainly.
Obviously, that won't be the case here, but I would suggest you pick somewhere for him and had him mainly stay there, so that people can come and talk to him as they please, or as part of storyline profession.

To be fair, there isn't any indication that they weren't cleared. The mods could just be taking a more no-nonsense approach.
Word from Heyseuss, who wasn't the one who issued the ban, is that it could be perma, since they aren't aren't joking(or whatever he said) with bans anymore. Beta doesn't know how long it is, or who issued it.
