MxF or FxF Space Western

I've been writing a lot of male characters on other sites, and it'd be nice to portray my own gender (female =P) for once. So while I'm not opposed to adding male side characters, I'd really like to have a female character as my main. I'm fine with MxF, FxF or no romance (but a dash of it does spice things up). Plot and character development are most important to me.

After watching copious amounts of Firefly, I'm craving a space western/pirate RP. I'd like to set it in an original world, but we can use Firefly and Cowboy Bebop as influences. I'd really like to play a character I just came up with as my main. Here's some info about her.

About: Bindiya comes from a nomadic space faring people called Roamers, space 'gypsies' who took to the skies in search of heaven long before anyone else. Roamers feel a spiritual connection with whatever ship they're living on; viewing it as a living entity, part of their soul. Using an ancient, complex system of stargazing, Roamers are excellent navigators and mechanics, viewing themselves as 'healing' their ships rather than merely playing with wires and getting grease on their noses.

At a young age, Bindiya was chosen to be her ship's Seer, the shamanic bridge between her people and cosmic deities they worship. Before she can officially undertake such an esteemed title, she must travel throughout the galaxy on other ships, visit other planets, and acquire as much knowledge as she can from strangers, before she receives a Vision telling her to return home.

Bindiya is deeply spiritual like most Roamers, often seen 'talking to herself,' though she is actually praying. She gets restless easily and doesn't like being one place for too long. She doesn't have much verbal filter and appears quite quirky and superstitious to non-Roamers. She is reckless and impulsive, believing that everything is written in the cosmos, and that she has nothing to fear because everything is meant to be. Like all Roamers, she is familiar with ship mechanics and an adept pilot. She has also made money by dancing and singing traditional Roamer songs, and telling fortunes. On her pathway to becoming a Seer, she has undergone a vow of peace, but she carries a staff with her as a divining rod, and uses it for self-defense.

I don't really have a plot in mind, but I am sure we can come up with something. I don't have PM access just yet, so reply here or message me first if interested.

Bump. Looking for new RPs!

Original One x One

New to the forums, but not to RPing, and looking for people to write original RPs with! That means original plots, original characters, original settings; absolutely no fandom. I'm female IRL, but I write males and females equally. I am open to MxF, MxM and FxF, but strictly romantic RPs bore the snot out of me. I have few limits; generally my RPs are in the 'M' range due to instances of language, violence and sexuality, but I vastly prefer plot and character development over meaningless smut.

I only write RPs with touches of magic and fantasy in them, no slice-of-life day to day realism for me, because I already live that. Light sci-fi in the realm of Firefly or Cowboy Bebop is okay too, but I'm a sucker for fantasy. I prefer quality over quantity; my replies are typically anywhere from two to six solid paragraphs, but I don't mind shorter faster paced posts, if they're coherent and give me enough to respond to.

I make most of my characters up on the spot, and prefer plotting and developing them as I go, instead of spending countless hours planning before the RP even begins. I think it's more exciting to start quickly and see where characters take us. So, if you'd like some original urban modern fantasy, or traditional high fantasy a la Skyrim and LotR, don't hesitate to reply here or shoot me a PM.
