*BANG*

*CRASH*

*SCREEEEECH*

"Even among monkeys, how in the night sky did you ever become a Captain!?!" Rithrynn called out to the White Hand Captain as he was frantically trying to avoid crashing into as much cave-walls as possible, which was a mission impossible considering the actual speed of the ship!

"P-please, ma'am, save the ad-hominem until after we're not most-assuredly dead!" The man cried back as he clung to his wheel, almost rotating around with it until they finally escaped the cave and sailed out into the light of morning outside.
"I would... oh light, save us!"

The man exclaimed when he saw ahead and spotted the trio of ships waiting for them, all with their broadsides aimed straight at them! The onyx metal of the cannons gleamed in the sunlight, reflecting their deadly intent from afar!

"Uh, Ri... I don't think even this boat has enough firepower to contend with that!" Lithriell would whisper from behind Rithrynn's back as the sentinels watched the blockade of ships with a look of worry and disbelief.

" ... no shit." Rithrynn bit her own lip as she watched their situation grow ever more perilous! If they continued on, they would no doubt be blown to splinters! But in that, they didn't have much choice, what with the mischievous little midget Liaena having locked the ship in full forward speed!

“Target acquired, Rithy?”

Rithrynn, alongside with all her sisters, looked down at the little black haired human standing between them. Some of the stares were accusing, others were confused. However, Rithrynn saw the wicked glimmer in Liaena's eyes, and returned instead with a smile of her own.

"Of course... " She'd mutter, before turning to the Captain.

"Humie, lock course with the middle ship!" Rithrynn instructed as she pointed at the Siren's Wail inbetween the two Stormwindian ships, as the Captain changed their course accordingly.

"W-what are you planning? We need to slow down, otherwise we'll cra,-"

*CACK*

"Ugh!"

But the man didn't manage to file his complaint until one of the Night Elves standing behind him had already whacked him in the back of his head, knocking the man unconscious on the spot and causing him to slump into a ball at their feet. Rithrynn had in the meantime brought a wooden rod, which she jammed right into the ship's steering wheel - locking it in place!

"Get ready for a cold swim, girls! We're leaving this ghost ship!"

"Wait, we're outside the fort!" Vashi would suddenly intrude, the Night Elven magi stepping forward.
"There's no need to get wet, I can conjure up a portal below deck and get us to safety!"

Whatever optimistic looks she may have received from Liaena and her fellow human apprentices at the promise of avoiding an ice bath early in the morning, Vashi received nothing but cold stares from her sisters.

"You're proposing the use of magic?"
"I don't like portals... I hear they're dangerous... "
"I hear they've torn people to pieces."
"I don't know, I like the sound of the water instead."

*BANG*

However, the murmuring from her sisters was abruptly put to an end when one of the blockading ships fired off a series of warning shots; the salvo of cannonballs whistling dangerously close to the ship and splashing down into the water all around them!

"On second note... maybe not a bad idea after all!" Lithriell would interfere, trying to give it an optimistic twist to the rest of her sisters whom all still looked as if they had just been invited to participate in their own funerals!

"You heard her! Everyone get below deck, now!" Rithrynn instructed the rest of her sisters, and soon all of the Night Elves would converge below deck, lead by Vashi taking point. Liaena and her apprentices were either willingly or reluctantly dragged with them, including the dozed off White Hand Captain.

Below deck, Vashi brought out a series of scrolls and runes. Through a short ritual, the magic from the runestones was freed to create a glimmering portal in the middle of the storage room.

"Are you sure it's safe?" Rithrynn would suddenly ask, just as Vashi was about to step towards the portal.

"Of course. Just look at this!" Vashi would exclaim happily in return, before she merrily took another step back and disappeared backwards into the portal; her figure absorbed by the glimmering light to disappear entirely in front of them!

...

...

After Vashi had disappeared through her own portal, an awkward silence had filled the room, as all the Night Elves stared somewhat dubiously at the shimmering doorway in front of them.

" ... wait, how do we know she even survived?" Lithriell would suddenly ask, turning to Rithrynn, who looked rather sour herself.

"That's the problem... we don't." Rithrynn would murmur, sounding almost genuinely afraid as she looked at the portal. Taking a deep breath, Rithrynn would close her eyes while slowly stepping forward, before throwing herself into the portal with a terrified whimper! And she left behind no lack of disturbed faces on the rest of her sisters whom all watched the portal with horror!

"Pfff, you're all such wussies! Watch this!" Aleena would suddenly proclaim loudly, before the brazen Sentinel would suddenly charge past her sisters, giving them a mocking gesture before tossing herself sideways into the portal without a shed of hesitation!

With Aleena gone through the portal, the rest of her remaining sisters would slowly follow, if however slowly and carefully as they each stepped through the portal.

I'll be posting tonight.
edit: i lied post will come eventually

the sooner the better

it's time to get this plot moving already. i got so many mischievous ideas for how to use adrianne's powers already xD
sorry if you had something planned, shaw, I just got too impatient ^_^
As the engines beneath the hull began to come to life and make the entire ship shake, back on top of the deck, Rithrynn and her sisters were looking rather nerveously around.

"Why is the boat shaking?!" Aleena asked, throwing Rithrynn a confused look.
"Is it an earthquake?! But there's no waves in here!"

"FIRE! FIRE! THE SHIP IS ON FIRE!" Lithriell would suddenly announce loudly across the ship as the sentinel stood a few feet away from them on the deck, whilst pointing frantically up at one of the large pipes running from the ship's engines as large, pitch-black clouds of ash and sot were being belched out into the air from them.

"Don't let the snake go anywhere; I will go and kill this 'engine' thing!" Rithrynn proclaimed as she pointed with her sword at the captured White Hand Captain who was still huddling at the wheel.

"N-N-NO-NO-NONO! T-thisthisthis... this is quite normal!" The man tried to speak while holding out a hand towards Rithrynn.
"She got the engine running! This means we can leave! If you would only let me,-"

-WWOOOOSH-

But before the man could continue, the whole ship would suddenly accelerate on the spot! The sudden movement was enough to throw everyone on deck off their feet and backwards, all except the Captain who managed to cling to the wheel while his two captors around him were thrown on their butts! The paddlewheels at the back of the ship were now rotating at full speed, plunging the ship forward!

A series of cracking could be heard as the ship crashed into a portion of the dock, tearing the pier to splinters and throwing almost three tonne of planks and crates into the sea! Another series of smaller sailing vessels docked nearby were also crushed to firewood as the steampowered battleship drove straight through them!

The Captain was desperately trying to steer the ship towards the exit of the cove, which was no easy task due to the size of the ship, the smallness of the actual cove, and not to mention the great speed at which they were traveling.

Turning to a small horn at the side of the wheel leading down into the engine room, the Captain would shout down into it!

"S-slow down, or we'll crash! It's too tight in here!"

"And not a lick of cover out here if things go south."

"Don't do yourself such a disfavor as to limit your mind to the mere physical, Armsman." Adrianne's voice would crackle through the breather of her helmet in reply to Stukov's concerned comment, the psyker apparently not anywhere near as worried nor concerned.
"If the situation should indeed change, there are numerous ways out; especially in such a vivid city like this."

Adrianne would explain as she looked at Stukov through her skeletal mask, before her visor turned to look out across the city's epic skyline beyond the borders of the landing platform.

Indeed, a landing platform suspended high above the air with only one conventional way down could indeed look like a deathtrap to anyone un-initiated in the arts of the immaterium. But Adrianne was not worried. If they did indeed need to leave asap, it was something she felt confident she could more than easily facilitate.

"And do not worry about the followers of Slaanesh. They are nothing like that of Khorne. They are too afraid to ever come at you in the open, unwilling to risk a frontal confrontation. They prefer to lurk in the shadows and come at you when you sleep. And counter-ambush is my specialty."
by the way, Skyrte, since Adrianne is a diviner, there is a chance she might predict any possible assassination attempts before they ever occur through her ability of precognition

just letting you know in case you had any kennedy-like scenarios planned for your inquisitor ^^

(and no, before you get any ideas; psykers don't waste neither their time nor powers on trivial things such as missing car-keys or anything like that!)
Light, I suck

I've been trying to get a free evening this week, but somehow it never happened. I will try and be more reliable next week. Really.

no worries, that just gives me more idle-time to think up more ways things could go wrong for Li ^_^
Adrianne would be the first to step out of the transport after Inquisitor Zhevon, as with her role of a diviner, it was easier to warn the inquisitor of any possible assailant or sniper that might have awaited him the moment he stepped out of the craft by staying close to him.

She walked down the ramp after him, her staff-sword in hand; and wearing her full kit, including her pressurized gothic style helmet that was adorned with a human skull in front of her face, a souvenir from a corrupted psyker she had once known. Her shaded visors were barely visible between its empty eye sockets, making her eyes almost look like a pair of pitch black pools.

As she clamped down with her boot on the metallic surface of the landing platform and looked up, she was immediately met by a wave of channeled emotions emanating from all around the hive city!

She had felt the psychic presence of the planet even in space. She had felt it in the shuttle as they made their way through orbit. And now as she stood on the very planet itself, in the middle of a hive city; she could feel it far greater. It was an exhilarating feeling, to feel the very beating heart of the city itself all echoing through one's mind!

She could only imagine how dull an experience it must have been by comparison for her less-gifted colleagues arriving with her. No matter how amazed they might have been at the city's skyline or grandiose architecture, it was nothing compared to what she was feeling in her head. Although being all suited-up prevented her from feeling the fresh breeze against her skin or experiencing the physical smells that filled the city, such senses were but minor to the psychic concert that she could listen to all around her in the city.

Compared to being stuck in the metal container of a ship flying in the dead-empty of space, being on a live planet was liberating.

But any facial expression she might have made was hidden behind the emotionless expression of her skeletal mask. As Zhevon made his round on the landing platform and began walking back towards them, her gaze moved from the surrounding city skylight to fix on the inquisitor.

"The heart of this city beats with such unrestrained vigor and lust, I would not be surprised to find it already to be an altar to the god of desires." Adrianne would comment as Zhevon came closer, her voice ever so slightly twisted with a metallic tone from speaking through her helmet.

mfw nobody has gone into the ship yet

GET INTO THE TRANSPORT

so i can start spawning badguys

i think eisenhorn might be waiting for you to do the post of walking to the hangar :P

as for the rest, i have no idea where in the warp they might be :O
Congratulations; if however horribly overdue; on the happy new arrangement Liaena :)

Finished with my own post. Quite relaxing only having to write it for one character, Sathrielle.

Also, as a side note; I cannot ever imagine how trying to escape in the biggest ship available is ever going to end well for Team Sharon. Something tells me things are about to become quite interesting :P

don't worry, ri does nuthin' without a plan! ^_^

she will play to her strengths, and do what she does best!
