.... or not. Why does every rp I join lately die within a few days? /:
I hate to say it, but I'm bored... is there any way we could do a time lapse and get to the real story already? Doing these little quests just seems pointless..
"As long as you accept the invitation to our team, we share all of our quests, so as long as you complete the requirements for the quest with us you'll also get the rewards."

Hera explained as they arrived at the pig pens on the outskirts of the city. She opened the gate and proceeded through, stepping instantly into what she hoped was mud, but she knew better.

"Ick.."

She remarked, trying to step around what was most likely pig manure. She pulled out her long sword and focused her attention on a pig directly in front of her. Before she could get a chance to attack, though, the pig charged at her. It seemed to be unhappy that she had entered it's pen. An icon flashed in the corner of Hera's screen, reading "Evasion". She clicked on the icon and suddenly found herself very quickly side-stepping the pig. Her sword began to glow and she thrust down on the pig, draining its health completely. The pig collapsed, leaving a tusk, some hide, and some meat in its place.

"Huh, that must be one of my special attacks..."

Hera speculated.
Hera stifled a laugh as Jason blurted out his acceptance of the three newcomers. She didn't at all mind having some extra players around, but he seemed so concerned about it.

It's no problem. There's strength in numbers, after all.

"It's great to have you all with us."

Hera said with a polite smile as she pulled up her menu. She offered all three of them invitations to their team. Now they just needed some more girls on the team. Hera didn't mind playing with guys, she was used to the fact that most of the players in these games were male, but she wouldn't mind some female company.

"Shall we be on our way to collect the items for our quest then?"

Hera asked, already beginning to walk towards the pig pens in the distance.
I agree that it would be boring to rp outside of the game, that's why I was concerned with what we'd do when we log out.. I like the time difference idea though. I just thought I'd voice this concern now before it becomes more of an issue.

Also, Gareth, do you plan to continue to rp the twins? Do you think maybe you should make character sheets for them?
Hera noticed Jason shooting her an uncomfortable look, as if he wanted to speak to her in private. She inconspicuously pulled up her menu and selected private chat. Jason was the only person on her list to message, so it didn't take her long to find him and compose a message.

Is something wrong?

She pmed him, trying to maintain eye contact with the very tall man and his archer companions as she did so.

"Was there something you needed from us?"

Hera asked Bubba'bob in a kind but distant voice, straining her neck to keep looking directly at him. He was no doubt a Geaor, which would make an interesting third addition their team. They would only be missing a Xilite.
Well, I wouldn't care if we hadn't gone to the trouble of making real characters outside the game. What was the point of doing that if we never use them? And it negates my first post where I say that I'll just log on for an hour or so before making dinner. It's not so much a problem with realism as an issue with ignoring the conventions that the RP set up from the beginning.
I mean, I'm all for hearing other ideas.. I'm just concerned with the realisticness of never logging out when we have the option to do so
It's not a matter of wanting to, it's that our characters have lives outside the game. However, roleplaying outside the game will be rather boring most likely.. The issue of having to go to work/eat/sleep would be resolved if we were stuck in the game.
So, I was wondering... do we ever log off in this RP? Like, it seems a bit unrealistic to always be online unless it's an SAO-type scenario and we're trapped in the game. My character has a job and we all need to sleep and feed ourselves and stuff. So how would we RP going offline?
