Ok cool. Sorry for those waiting on my post, my gfs bro has been taken ill so im taking care of her. Ill probably get something up tomorrow if it isn't too serious.
The sound of a car horn grabbed Robs attention. Turning out of the kitchen he left Adam to finish his food, his long tongue scooping it all into his mouth unaware of his owner leaving. The welshman ran up the nearby staircase that led to the roof access, the metal staircase banging with each heavy step. As he approached the top he led with his foot, kicking the unlocked door wide open. The sunlight poured through catching him in the eyes, but it didn't slow him down. He carried out onto the roof and tried to get his bearing and work out where the sound was coming from. He looked around as best he could but couldn't see anyone.

Minutes passed but still no sign of anyone, not even a walking corpse. It had only been three days since everything had happened, but it felt like an eternity since he had last seen a human.

Whoever it is, I hope they are ok...

As the thought went through his head he realised he had to do something, anything, to get the attention of anyone who might look his way. He looked around the roof and found an old, discarded bit of gutter piping. He removed his shirt, exposing his defined, muscular frame. He tied the sleeves at the end of the six foot length of piping and began to wave it around like a flag pole. By time he started he hadn't noticed Adam appear next to him on the roof, the dog as stealthy as canines came. He looked up at Rob curiously before lying down next to him, head raised looking out towards the direction of the noise.

Someone has to see this...
I hate to be a nazi but you need to remember this is the casual section, not free. Please try to avoid writing posts that are only one paragraph or a few lines long. Also can I request that people don't post more than twice a day, just because there are so many people in the RP, they may get put off if they come back to three pages of two people back and forth (exaggeration is my specialty).

I just want this to work is all :)

***edit*** Just a quick question to you all, have you had a look at the map at all?
IC is up. Not the best start but just wanted to get something up today so you guys could get posting as i'm sure more of you want to crack on.
Day 3

The door shook violently, the battered and decaying fists of the undead smashing against the door of the foremans office cabin. Robert sat at his desk, looking over at the filing cabinet lying behind it, the obstruction had held them for the past hour but it wouldn't last forever. Gripping hold of his backpack, he threw it over his shoulder and made for the nearby window. Slowly peering through the blinds he couldn't see a single walking corpse at the back end of the office cabin. Taking a look down at the ready pounce Adam, he whistled before slowly opening the window. He raised the blinds and gestured for his companion to leap out of the window, the faithful black haired dog wasting no time in making its way outside. Robert cast one glance to his desk and the note he had left...

To whoever reads this, whether you worked here or not, i'm making my way to the large building south of here. It has large steel shutters, ladder access to the roof and it's own electricity source. There is fresh flowing water and various appliances, making the place almost self-sustaining. I have managed to start barricading it from the inside, if you can make it, climb the ladder to the roof and make your way in. All survivors are welcome. - Rob

As Robert leapt out of the window, the sound of the door smashing to the floor echoed behind him. His feet landed next to Adam, the black german shepard, who looked up caringly at his master. Rob leant over and rubbed the dog behind the ear behind running off towards the large building south of his office.

The large steel shutters came into view, that lined the one side of the building. They provided a sturdy barrier between him and the undead, but the sustainability of being there was what made it the best bet. The recently installed solar panels and water drawn from a nearby stream was all part of a project to reduce the quarry's carbon footprint. He had never been one to believe in global warming, thinking it was just a scam by the Governments of the developed world who foresaw the worldwide recession and looked for a way to reduce the impact. It didn't matter now though, global warming or not, he had done his part and it looked like he had found himself a nice place to stay for the forseeable future.

As the lowly fire exit came into view he spotted a clear path to it, breaking into a sprint before reaching it. He pulled one of the metal mallets from his belt and cautiously opened the door, peering in carefully. He had shut the door behind him when he had left, but he thought it best to be cautious. As he got in through the door he moved a stack of wooden pallets behind the door, the pile propped up on a pump truck. As he pulled the release handle the stack fell to the floor, forming a strong barricade through which nothing could get in.

The fluorescent lighting of the corridor made it easy to see, keeping shadows to a bare minimum. For ten minutes he searched through the entirety of the building, making sure that nothing lurked in a corner or underneath any of the now dormant machinery. As he entered the canteen, the final room, he let out a sigh of relief. He turned to Adam and spoke to the animal.

Looks like we are ok. How do you feel about some food?

The inflections of Roberts voice as he spoke let the dog know it was feeding time, it's face giving as big a smile as a dog possibly could. Reaching into his back Robert pulled out his wind up torch radio, quickly turning it on to one of the stations. In his hurry to get to safety he had left it in his office, but needing to know what was going on he risked going to get it. Luckily for him and his companion, they both made it back ok.
Ive already said when itll be up ;)
People taking things too literally i think. Let me reword everything so it's hopefully clearer:

Awareness:

Your ability to see and hear, thus being able to accurately judge your surroundings.

0: Deaf and blind.
1: You are having real trouble with your eye sight, everything is a massive blur or you are on the verge of going deaf
2: You should be wearing your glasses but you are atleast able to make out shapes of people and objects or people need to talk louder for you to hear
3: You can see and hear normally
4: You can see fine details from a distance and can hear and recognise sounds most people would miss
5: Perfectly aware of your surroundings. From one glance around you, you can pick out almost every detail such as escape routes, enemies etc. Also, more likely to come across "presents"

Close Quarters:

This is more to do with your martial ability than the power you can hit.

0: Anytime a fight breaks out you just stand there, frozen with fear.
1: You have never had a fight and throw punches that can easily be judged. If something grabs you, you don't know how to escape.
2: You have had one or two fights. You can throw punches better but can still be telegraphed by an average person. Have severe problem trying to get out of holds.
3: You've had a few fights in your life. You have an average ability to throw punches and are able to often shake of the grip of people holding onto you.
4: You almost had a fight every week in school. Your technique is like that of an amateur boxer, being able to dodge incoming blows while responding with precision hits. Very hard for someone to grab hold of you.
5: You fight for a living. You can dodge almost any incoming blows and are almost as slippery as oil when someone tries to get hold of you.

Fitness:

Also known as stamina, this covers your energy levels throughout everything.

0: You are unable to move for more than a few seconds without passing out.
1: You can run for one minute or fight constantly for one minute before tiring.
2: You can run for five minutes or fight constantly for five minutes before tiring.
3: You can run for up to fifteen minutes or fight constantly for fifteen minutes before tiring.
4: You can run for up to an hour or fight constantly for an hour before tiring.
5: Olympian level athlete. Able to run and fight for hours on end with very little effort.

Marksmanship:

Your ability to fire a gun/shoot a bow. Shambler kill rate is based on range. [ 5m / 15m / 25m ]. The percentage represents your ability to kill shamblers up to that distance per bullet. It's not something you have to follow to the letter, but just to give you an idea of what sort of skill level you have.

0: You can't string an arrow or turn off the safety.
1: You are not accustomed to firearms and struggle in even their most basic of operations. You regularly forget to turn the safety off and reloading takes an age. Your hands shake pretty badly when trying to aim. [ 10% / 1% / 0% ]
2: You have some sort of practise with firearms but still struggle from time to time when it comes to reloading. Your hands don't shake so much but you still struggle to aim properly. [50% / 10% / 0%]
3: You have done a basic training course in firearms. You know how to handle a gun and can reload in a reasonable amount of time. [ 75% / 50% / 25% ]
4: You have done an advanced training course in firearms. You can reload very quickly. [ 100% / 75% / 50% ]
5: You work in a job that requires you to use a firearm on a regular basis. Can reload almost instantly. [ 100% / 100% / 75% ]

Speed:

This covers your characters jogging and running speed.

0: You have no legs.
1: You have a sprained ankle and can barely break into a brisk walk.
2: You always came last in races growing up.
3: You run at an average speed, not excelling or lacking in it.
4: You regularly won races growing up and are able to out pace alot of people.
5: Olympian level speed with almost nobody as fast as you when you start running

Strength:

This covers your strength in terms of what you can actually manage.

0: Gravity crushes you.
1: You struggle to push your own weight up off the floor and even in a dire situation would not be able to pull yourself up to a ledge, let alone anyone else.
2: You have never really been strong, struggling to do do press ups. You can just about pull yourself up to a ledge but would be unable to lift anyone other than a small child.
3: Average persons strength. Can do several press ups, pull yourself up onto a ledge and just about lift an average sized person.
4: Naturally powerful person. You can do press ups to double figures, pull yourself onto a ledge with one arm and able to pick up two average sized people, one per arm.
5. Worlds Strongs Man contestant. You can bench press twice your own bodyweight, even lift the two rear wheels of a car from the floor.
Based on the above, a shamblers stats would be as follows just so you have an idea what you are up against:

Awareness: 2 - Attracted to any movement and noises. Able to differentiate between other undead and human by smell.
Close Combat: 2 - Constantly trying to grab hold of people ready to sink its teeth in.
Fitness: 5 - The urge to eat overrides all else. They can go all day and night without rest.
Speed: 2 - Not at all fast, but if you cannot get out of their line of sight, they will keep coming.
Strength: 3 - The strength of an average person.

Just so you have an idea, things like blocking doors with your body would come under strength. So someone strength 4 would be able to hold the door firmly shut against a few shamblers for a while where as somebody with 1 would simply get pushed aside like they weren't there. Pushing things in the way of the door, strength 1 would be able to manage a chair on wheels, 2 would struggle to push a table, 3 would be able to push over a bookcase, 4 would be able to push a full filing cabinet and 5 would be able to move just about anything reasonable.

I never wanted to have to go into so much detail but I guess i've had to. All I can say is just don't overthink things when you're writing your RP's. Aslong as you don't go overboard I probably won't even call you on things.
Psych she's fine. Do apologise for not answering sooner, been living off my phone since you posted it. She seems good and will be interesting to see how she manages to deal with zombies chasing her. By the way, good job on copying my companion ;)

Prime, Kaitlyn is accepted. I think she's going out on a few scouting missions ;)

Archie i'm sorry but I didn't realise I had so many people already, i'm going to have to say no, sorry.
Likely to be either tomorrow or Monday. I'll be starting in the quarry, up to you all if you want to or not. By the way I've updated the map so if everyone could take the time to look it over, you can get an idea of the area and what's in Coalville.
You cant zero a stat sorry mate. There is a difference in speed and fitness. If there are a group of zombies and you have speed 3, you'll be able to run through them and dodge with only a small chance of getting grabbed. If you have 2 you have to be very careful because the shamblers are the same speed as you. Fitness is exactly how it sounds, it covers your fitness. With 3 you can jog a fair bit and fight close combat for a good ten minutes. With 2 you can probably jog for the length of one street before getting tired or only fight close combat for a few minutes.
If you get a CS up within the next 12 hours I may allow it buddy.
