Well I'll put a post up tonight and see how it goes. I'm still definitely learning as a Gm and I realized 2 things.

1. Ancient Dragon Had only been in the guild a month, and this was their first roleplay. Shouldn't leave a roleplay's future solely dependent on their response.

2. I probably should have waited a bit longer before I did that to anyone. I know early on people tend to start and drop quickly.

EDIT: Fell asleep. Hopefully today instead
Anyone interested in continuing? I probably should have looked at ancient dragons post history sooner and realized she wasn't returning (she hasn't even been on the guild)
I'll give it until Sunday before I force the RP to continue.

@RyanTadashiThat's better! Accepted!

@Tulpa Firstly, I've never been in an RP with a transgender character so I will admit everything I write is purely hypothetical/conjecture. I seriously doubt that any problem would arise solely because of a trans character. A good roleplayer is a good roleplayer, no matter their gender/sexuality/race/ect.

Isn't the GM essentially god however? So doesn't that mean they can choose the rules? If a GM said no cisgender character I would obey that rule. Similar to no romance ect. Have you ever actually been kicked out because of your character is trans?

You say that being transgender is an important part of your identity, but that implies that you aren't completely the same mentally as someone who was cisgender that you identify as. Is that what I am supposed to understand? So therefore, given the option (IRL) to be born as the same sex and gender you wouldn't take it, sense being transgender in as of itself is your identity? If your answer to that is yes then in a fantasy world ideally you would be trans. But if your answer is no then you would ideally be cis of your gender.

Lastly, do you consider it discriminatory if a character who would be attracted to your gender is not because of your sex? In a perfectly non-discriminitaory fantasy world, what would you want?

Thanks for your patience.
@ancient dragon you're up.
@RyanTadashi Make you character a bit more OP, brush up on a few holes in the grammar, and add a picture. Concept is fine.
@Tulpa I don't mean to be offensive by anything I say, I'm just a bit confused as well.

You mention that these worlds are fantasy, and that in these worlds people who are transgender should not be persecuted because it is fantasy. I can understand that.

However, sense these worlds are fantasy couldn't everyone simply be born with the same sex and gender? I understand how many people play characters similar to themselves. However if you were born male but were of female gender (IRL) wouldn't the best representation be to simply play female? Sense, essentially, you are female?

Everything obviously is up to GM decision, but why as a player would you want to play transgender? Isn't the ultimate goal of transgenderism to be the other gender without a problem? (Not discussing lighter forms of transgenderism, like cross-dressing)

The only reason I can see playing as a transgender character is if you believe the transgender experience is different somehow from being cis gendered at a fundamental level. In which case, wouldn't that make it an issue?
Acamen Hopsfield

The heroes assembled speedily, and there was some discussion of what was occurring. The Dark Prince had an inkling that something had been off, but he could not read the minds of his wolves. Malaena explained the situation promptly, seeming to have some degree of understanding for Hopsfield's dilemma. Both the ranger and the doctor were totally uncaring about the south however, and seemed perfectly content to damn his homeland if it meant completing the mission a few hours faster.

Suddenly, the ground began to tremble. The other heroes easily stood through the shocks, and after Acamen recovered his balance the mage noticed there was a giant snacking on a deer in the middle of the caravan. Hopsfield couldn't avoid freezing in fear before the mighty beast - the instinct of prey ran through his heart, and terror filled his bones. Acamen had seen worse, but this was truly terrifying sight to behold.

The Golden Lances stood ready to charge and take down the monster. The Exemplar began to think through spells that could cripple a fifty foot tall tower. These were men that would fight for their lives. But no combat commenced, as the creature made no motion to attack the heroes.

The rest of the party was either completely insane or had become so accustomed to the ridiculous they began jesting at the situation. The Alchemist construed a rude comment regarding his mother. The dwarf stumbled in, probably drunk, and spat out a bad joke. Volkimir immediately began to think of ways to exploit the situation one way or another. While they initially through the Exemplar off, their reactions somehow made the scholar calmer after a few moments.

"Well ... um ... That's not a bad idea at all Prince Volkimir. However, I don't think a lure is required." In his studies, Acamen had learned that trolls were normally rather peaceful creatures that did have enough intelligence to be bargained with. Rather than trying to lure the troll somehow, they could simply ask it. The Exemplar looked up towards the giant, and made sure to raise his volume so that he could be heard. "Hello great one! Our party wishes to go through another, we were wondering if you would be willing to walk in front of us as we head through them? I can promise you a free deer later!"

With some additional thought, he realized that Volkimir's idea had another merit. If the barbarians still felt inspired to attack, the party had a few more display options before resorting to violence. The death knights were unsettling, a phoenix's flames were scorching, many would cower in the presence of holy magic, and he had heard rumors about Sarel's ability to turn into a giant as well.
@RyanTadashi Will Respond tomorrow, you can probably hop in after this encounter if it is a-ok
