Obstacles [Interest Check]

OK first off this will be in the same boat as Life is Strange but without the rewind powers, yet focus on the lives of people like the creators of the game have pointed out though is kind of obvious if you have played it.

How time can change two people, something as simple as five years and one may not recognize the other completely. One moved to a different city across the country, the other stayed where the two met and became best friends. The two may have lost contact with each other even in this day and age but the two are about to meet again for the first time in five years. One has come back to where it started to attend the college/university of their hometown. This person is making a life for themselves, however, the other has made life complicated and hard for themselves. They are not a bad person, they just do stupid shit a lot of the time. The two will meet during a fatal encounter in which both of them survive.

The plot takes the two through a ride of happiness, anger, loss and all the emotions best friends share. However, fate is being cruel to the pair as both get into many events where some are even fatal to the one who's life is a mess. Can these obstacles be stepped around or will these obstacles take the life of their friendship and shutter it by cruelly removing one from life. The RP is about choices, it can either make you or break you so choosing the wrong one could lead you to prison, riches, something worse or better. Gun violence, car chases, mystery and some other stuff will be in it to create the danger of real life.

Being shot does not mean you will die but it in some cases it can, also it has to be somewhat real like. Trying to tackle someone who has a gun will most likely lead you to your death if a gap between them is present. If they have a knife it is a different story, though.

So I will be the character who's life is a mess and you will be the one who has a possible future. The RP will end the same way as I plan it too, I guess this RP is kind of like a lesson that time is never on your side and you should do the most you can with the people you love or treasure like your best/close friends. This will be MxF, FxF and if it comes to it MxM though MxF and FxF will have romance added to it which people seem to like in Slice of life-based RP. Please no one liners, I can take poor grammar but not a few words to a line.

I am going, to say it, the following character is clearly loosely based on Tiny Tina from Borderlands 2. Tiny Tina is one of my favourite characters from the series and probably in my top 100 video games characters of all time. Also the character is homeless one as well.

She does not trust someone easily as street life has taught her no one cares, no one is honest and no one is worth saving. Her brain half of the time can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality so her slight of hand skills is something of magic in her head. She is not very smart despite knowing words no one really uses anymore though she tends to distract people with various movements which seem to work on most. Maxine is a bit OCD when it comes to things being moved or if things get dirty in any way, if she can see it then it will bother her. She is really weird and has been noted as a potential nut bar. She is known to be helpful

Other: She insists John Cena is her boyfriend, that the Hunger Games are based on her life and J-Walking has something to do with jam. She also believes Micheal Bay is a fictional character, people can get high on M&M's and that robots have already begun to take over the world.

Bio: As far as she can remember she had always been on the streets, the furthest she could remember was when she was around four years old. Whatever happened around that age left her with nothing and no one and the only way to cope with such a big change was to free herself from reality. Reality and fantasy were once of two different worlds but when she turned eight these two worlds were merged where she could no longer tell what was real and what wasn't real. What caused this is unknown as no one has ever managed to talk to her about this problem.

Being a street child was not easy, the winter being the hardest and the summer being somewhat difficult for other reasons. She did have one friend that was not her stuffed bear Sir Moore which was a plucky young puppy named Rocket, of course, the puppy was not around forever as it was eventually taken to a loving home. Maxine, of course, was hurt by this because her only living friend was gone but at the same time was happy the pup she knew would no longer go hungry and would be looked after properly. She only managed to provide the puppy time to time because of her developing slight of hand skill.

By the time she was nine years old she had a good grasp on how to use her new skills of stealing and sneaking as well put on a show via acting. She had yet to get mixed with the wrong crowd. During her year of being nine Maxine had been moved to several places yet finding herself back where she started. The world for a place for homeless children was too much for her and the reality of it was too cruel though to be fair, her view on reality was twisted with heavy fantasy. She once did find a home but she could not cope with the change and the rules given to her so she ran away.

On weekdays she would go to one of the many places she went too often, never the same place she just visited. She had a schedule that she kept too though time to time would break it just to mix it up or confuse anyone who was watching her.

Wednesday: Various Film Theatres (12pm-12am)
Thursday: Park (Hours Varied with Season)

Sundays were anything can happen Sunday until she turned eleven where she began to do runs for people, delivering stuff for all sorts of people. She is not sure how this even started but it kept her busy and she got some cash for it though if she had any education would know it was hardly anything. Some of it were legal and some of it were not but she did not know what was what as she could not see what the package had hidden under the white or brown paper. Of course going to places like a back street or alley seemed normal for her due to her life on the streets so if it was illegal she would not have known anyway.

Around the age of eleven, she began to buy white hair dye and getting it done by someone using whatever money she had laying about. By this time the dress she had worn to rags was gone and was now replaced with a black and white dress, which came with a bow which she thought was cute though she saw it several sizes bigger and in a different colour, also, it would talk to her and time to time wave at her when not on her head.

I dislike people who visit music videos, video game forums, comic sites just to bash it. You have the right to an opinion but just saying shit about something you don't like it rather uncool. I don't do it and it seems at most people don't yet those who do just do it. Even worse when they are an ass about it though I never reply to trolls or bashers which some people seem to do the opposite of. I am not a fan of DC and the total OP characters they have but I keep it to myself and don't spread my dislike of it. What I said was an example and nothing more even though I enjoy Marvel IP's a great deal.

It really makes me mad but I can't do anything about it, I have to live with it though

Character picture - At what point do you find one?

With me it works in either one of two ways which are the following:

1. I write what they are about before finding a picture yet I do have a certain idea of what they would look like roughly. I tend to write characters in all aspects which do create unusable characters which hardly fit into anything though that happens more in the second way I create characters then my primary way. A picture does paint a thousand words but sometimes fleshing them out before getting a picture helps me more than with one as it limits me to the build they most likely have, the age and so on.

2. I find a picture online randomly and a character starts to come to life in my head where I proceed to write the character out. First in a basic form and then I begin to flesh it out. This is the less used route but when it happens I make sure to get all I can down before the idea leaves my head. Time to time I have been out and about where I see an image via phone or something but can't do anything about it. I have some unique characters I have never used or ever get to use because of this.

Unless I am joining an RP my characters are set in some way or they aren't. I rarely make characters for genre based RP's made by others so I adapt them or if I have to make them. They are usually set in the way I want them which as an example set for a gang based RP, a horror RP, Supernatural and so on.

Music & Roleplaying (What kind of music do you listen to when writing?)

I listen to music when I write stuff up and even when I am out and about. The genre is not really important though genres do tend to give me ideas for RP's like my Power to the Beat idea and Metal Maidens idea. At the moment, the Life is Strange soundtrack is really getting me going though usually I tend to listen to Aggrotech, EMB, Dark Electro, Soundtrack (Both Videogame/Movie) Metal (Various sub-genres).

The strange thing is I have written peaceful posts and RP ideas via angry and aggressive music such as The Fading, Hammercult, Arch Enemy, etc. I have also written aggressive and warlike posts and RP ideas via calming music such as anything from the Life is Strange soundtrack as an example which is basically licensed indie and original indie music.

The spoken word from lyrics does give me ideas and feelings towards writing a post or RP idea as well. Cradle of Filth has given me many ideas and good posts though they are only one of many bands/artists who have done this. Psyborg Corp, Deathstars, D12 and many more have also done the same. As long as the music makes me flow it does not matter what type it is though rarely I do get stuck but it does not last too long.

Video Game soundtracks such as Mass Effect, Timesplitters, Life is Strange, Legend of Zelda, Loaded and many more are usually really helpful but lyrics in licensed music can be just as helpful. I remember being rather stuck and I listened to a few tracks and before I knew it I was writing away though this example extends to both original and licensed music.

Strangely though not music-related the stupid stuff on the radio in Saints Row series gets my brain working most of the time but I don't do it that way much.

Bio: Not much is known about this machine other than it is about the same size as the Eiffel tower. The AI that is its life source has been around since the year 2030 but back then was only a simple programme. It had no body and only had one purpose to serve mankind, the first 100 years that is what it did though soon enough AI started to learn, something that humans did not see coming. Even with it learning it kept up its purpose for the next 100 years, by this time its purpose was extended as it knows to lead robots to do the humans bidding. Robots were used for wars, training, serving and pretty much everything else a human would do.

In 2233 the whole world relied on robots to a fault, the human race lazing about while unknowingly allowing the central AI to continue to grow. At this point, it could set every nuke around the world off at once leaving nothing but matter, robots and maybe mutants alive. Yet it still did not do anything that humans would notice, somewhere in various areas of the world are factories. These factories make robots for many different purposes until today. 13th of July 2223 where the factories made nothing but war machines though the AI made sure to cover all of its tracks

The numbers started to double over the years and by 2230 the robot army was 2 times than the total population of humans. Easy to store and mostly compact many factories could stock well over half a million on the factory floor itself. Under each factory floor are two levels of unused lab space which is used to store the true number of war machines. The person who made the AI was unknown, one day they just happen to come across it and from there used it. No records, no fingerprints, nothing, it was like the AI just came to be by some mystic force. Labour for the robots increased over the years and in 2049 a war broke out between the humans and robots. The war lasted for a good solid 5 years where both the humans and the AI came to a treaty.

There was peace for about 150 years and the war started again. The humans had broken the treaty though the humans were split into fractions. One fraction was bigger than the other though the smaller one was on the side with the biggest army. The group was called the Cyber Friends while the other was called the Masters. This war went on for several years before the cease-fire, the robots had managed to force the remaining members of the Master faction into a retreat where they were soon forced to sign a new treaty. The leaders of the Master fraction were all sentenced to prison to spend life there or be put to death. At this time, every prison only had ten human guards and 60 robot guards.

For the next 3000 years, everything was fine, there were wars but only between countries, not the whole world. Soon enough another war had broken out though this time there were several factions such as the Resistance, Anti-Robot Squad, New Order, Order of Blood and the Cyber Lords.

- The Resistance is a typical all human group who are fighting the robots off though they are not really resisting anything but death. This group have several elders they listen to and out of all the groups other than the Cyber Lords, they have the best chance of winning this war.

-Anti-Robot Squad is probably the smallest group out of all of them and unlike the Resistance, they don’t care for freedom and what’s right. What they want is every robot wiped out and are good at what they do, too bad the robots old weakness are removed though a new weakness takes its place.

-New Order is a secret group that plans on making the world theirs by destroying the robots so they can be called the true leaders. This is problematic for them as they have no real experience at taking robots down but know how to keep the humans in check when the time comes if it ever comes.

-Order of Blood is a dark cult that has many members though only a few true members. They have no real standing in the battle except to survive and get people so they can offer to them to their dark lord. They all embrace the impending doom of the oncoming purge of all humans.

-Cyber Lords is a group with nothing but robots and war machines who have different roles within the group. They all follow the AI that has grown over the years and all work towards bringing down the human race that has betrayed them time and time again. The AI is the leader and has a physical body which has been around for decades and even generations.

The AI’s body was first planned as soon as the AI started to expand and think for itself. A single warehouse guarded by several robots was where it started. The parts were then taken to a secure location where the robot workers started to make the body. A lot of planning went into making the body for their soon to be the ruler of the world. It had taken about 1000 years to complete the body as many types of material were needed. Plus some of the things it needed had not been finished yet. After completion, the sentinel was named Empress or EMP for short. Equipped with enough firepower to end the world though since it has been active has not been in a fight yet but the humans know of its existence.

Humans have come across the Empress and have a good understanding of it yet have no knowledge of its firepower. The Empress has made many robots swarm the area after several groups had come face to face to it. The AI has uploaded itself to the Empress and controls everything from its physical body, anything electrical it can trace and intercept. The Empress has two loyal soldiers and both do different things, one does all the undercover work and the other does more of the dirty work. Due to the evolving AI anything launched into space becomes its new toy and since a lot of things have been launched it has a range of things it can control.

“We may not have a beating heart or have blood flowing through us, but we work hard and want equal rights. If wiping a large number of humans out is the way forwards then shall it be. If the walls need to be painted a bright red or a dark grey, so shall it be. If we have to oppress the human race to get what we want, well then it is game over for them until a new treaty comes, this shall be the last, once broken the humans will have no place here.”

I think this Life is Strange thing will be a thing until I die. The aggrotech, EMB, Dark Electro, Metal and other genres are just on hold at the moment.
