Current Trying to get back into the swing of things (for a 2nd time!)

Bio

Hi there I'm Rultaos, or simply Rult as some of my friends call me. I first got into RP'ing on two different sites back when I was in High School. The forums of the games Minecraft and Spiral Knights. Both had game-related RP's, as well as off-topic ones regarding fantasy and sci-fi. This was around 3-4 years ago. I wasn't really good at it back then, but I met a lot of great people and feel like I really improved since then.

For any of you who are curious, this was one of my biggest RP undertakings before I got into this site (My username also comes from this as a tribute to it!). It's not really a very well-written roleplay (or a very well-managed one for that matter). But it really meant a lot to me because of how far it went, how long it survived, and how it inspired my fellow players there. It always fills me with a sense of nostalgia whenever I glance at it in my bookmarks...

I got into RPGuild back when it was still using the old server (the one that got taken down after Mahz got behind on his pay and the providers ended their service without warning). I was pretty bummed when this happened because I was already actively participating in a number of roleplays, and I could only stay in contact with a select few guildmates on the Facebook group. Eventually, the long wait was over, and the site was given renewed life after a few bumps in the road that guildmaster Mahz faced in his attempts to resurrect this place. It was a good day for many including myself when this site slowly started getting more and more features.

2014 was my second year in college and was a very stressful time for me. Mostly concerning academics, with a few occasional problems regarding friends and fellow students alike. Because of this, I had to suddenly drop out of roleplaying for a while in order to have the time to get my real life back in order.

Now, I've returned to the site, and am hoping to get back into the groove of roleplaying and make more great friends and have even greater adventures through whatever huge universe your brilliant minds can think of! If you wanna invite me to play, or even just have a friendly chat about anything, send a message my way and I'll reply as soon as I can =)

For those of you who are wondering, my roleplay interests include: Sci-Fi, Military, sometimes Fantasy, a Fandom one if I'm familiar with the source material, heck I'd be willing to dabble in an Apocalypse setting as well. I'm also willing to try new things as well if it seems fascinating enough. So hit me up with an idea any time and I'd be happy to share my thoughts with you.

Well, I feel like I've used up enough for your time. Thanks for caring enough to read all this, and I hope you enjoy your roleplay adventures as much as I have in the past and the present ^_^

Rushing down into the tunnels, Varkasan could not help but feel a grim sense of danger as they descended. Having witnessed Azure's power firsthand, he was reluctant to face it again, especially so soon. But he had a duty to perform, and his fear had to be put aside. "Besides, we have more Inquisitors here to fight him with. The odds are better than last time..." Varkasan thought. Or at least, hoped.

After wandering the maze-like caverns for a short while, they came across the strange blue crystal formations; the signature of the Azure Sorcerer. "Is there anything special about this crystal? Did you see him use anything similar?" Sebastian asked."Yeah, the crystal consumes you, and traps you inside. Probably best if you didn't touch it..." Zander answered."He's right, sir. Azure conjured these things and used them to slaughter Levran and his force. Don't touch them, whatever you do. Everything his crystals came into contact with turned into crystal as well. It is... a disturbing sight..." Varkasan said, glancing at the crystallized bodies of the dwarves. Acknowledging them, Sebastian created a radiant ball of light to clear a path through the crystals. It shined so bright and hot that Varkasan had to keep his distance from it while averting his eyes. The walk with the ball of light did not last long however, as the group began hearing the sounds of clashing steel and cries of pain. "Oh no, Azure is in the workshop!" Sebastian exclaimed as he began running in the direction of the noise.

Reaching a room, they were surprised to see the Azure Sorcerer retreating from a doorway and hastily constructing a crystal wall. Before any of them could react, the wall shattered as something sped past it, but it was too swift for Varkasan to see. He would've given more thought to the mysterious wall-breaker if they did not have more pressing concerns at the moment, namely the doors locking them in and the leader of the Azure Covenant standing before them.

"Looks like I got here just in time to meet the infamous Azure Sorcerer. Thanks for saving us the trouble looking for you." Sebastian taunted the Mage. "Hmm, another Inquisitor. I wonder how long you will last." Azure responded. It did not take long for the situation to escalate into a battle between the two powerful warriors. Varkasan and Zander were ordered to stay back.

The two fighters fought wildly, with a strength and skill that Varkasan had never seen in both a Paladin or a Mage before. Sebastian initially gained the upper hand, but Azure quickly turned that around after drawing a ruby sword with magical properties. Azure was able to bring down Sebastian using it. Varkasan had already enchanted his blade and was about to intervene, when he heard several footsteps coming up behind him. Varkasan turned around to see the reinforcements arrive just as Azure fled into the other tunnels. The Inquisitors seemed to think it more important to tend to Sebastian instead of chasing after Azure, but Zander seemed to think differently.

Brandishing his axe, the large Paladin marched forward in the direction of Azure's retreat. "I'll kill him!" He exclaimed. "Zander, it's too late! He's probably teleported off by now. There's no way we can catch him now with his movement magic." Varkasan called out to his comrade as he knelt down next to the wounded Inquisitor. With his help, the rest of the Paladins carried Sebastian back up into the fortress.
(Some time later)

Still in his armor, Varkasan sat on the bed of his room. He was relieved to hear that Inquisitor Sebastian would survive, but everything was still happening so fast. Two Inquisitors brought down by the Azure Sorcerer, countless Paladins dead, and the safety of Meldiniar hanging by a thread as the Azure Covenant's plans were set into motion. "And to think I was sparring with my friends in the Covenant of The Guardians not more than two days ago... He thought.

He wondered what he would have to do next. Obviously, he was going to be trained into becoming a Witch Hunter. "But when? And what manner of trials await us? He thought to himself. Standing up, he looked outside of the window of his room, half-expecting to see Mages begin storming the fortress. With everything that has happened, nothing would surprise Varkasan at this point. Continuing to look outside the fortress, trying to enjoy the view from the plateau, he still could not shake off the urge to act. But until he received new orders, he would have to sit and wait.

Maybe I have written it wrong, but he only ordered for the guards to call help and the candidates to follow him.

Oh I misread it, sorry >_<. In other news, I'm working on my next post now
Laue, I'm a little confused.... Sebastian ordered the candidates to find help to bring it to him, but also told them to follow him down as he chased Revin? I'm not sure how Varkasan is supposed to respond to that =/
Sorry I haven't posted yet. Been dealing with a bit of writer's block/lack of inspiration >_<. I'll get one done soon though.
Heads up guys. A family member of Nariata got hospitalized. He's not sure how long it will last or how busy he'll be. He says if he's inactive for a long while, that's probably the reason. Just putting this out here to make sure we're on the same page.
No need to tell Officer anything. If he sees him getting poked, he'll point and scream "ASSAULT WITH DEADLY WEAPON!1!1" and fire his taser XD. Though if he doesn't see it happen, he'll simply ask you to file a report, after which he will perform an investigation to figure out if it did happen (even if it is blatantly obvious).

As for starting... It's your call, GM. Personally, I think we should wait for another person before starting, but three is enough to begin if you feel like it. I'm wondering where all the people from the Interest Check went though...
Got it. Also, do you mind if I add a broken Walkie-talkie radio as one of Officer's tools? He'll pretty much just talk to it every now and then to report his situation to his nonexistent police department(s) as well as communicate with imaginary officers. Like...
"Control, be advised we have a trespasser in custody over at Wallaby street. Send in someone to pick him up as soon as possible, over."

Officer turns toward the ruined house where he had put in a life-sized stand of some famous superhero that was pushed by the wind into an adjacent lot. He had fired his taser at it and tackled it to the ground before locking it inside the house.

"Don't get any ideas scumbag. I see you eyeballin' my gun." Officer says at he points at the cardboard stand whose eyes seemed to be angled towards his chest where his revolver was holstered. He clicks on the radio once more. "Be advised, suspect may attempt escape. Tell the boys to be cautious when they get here. Officer Wilson out."
Alright, sounds good XD. Also, even if Duke is to be Officer's superior (being a fake baron), bear in mind that my character will still take action against you if he sees him break his "laws". As I've said, he does not discriminate when it comes to that, even with inanimate objects. This might cause trouble-filled shenanigans more often than not. But hey, that's what RA seems to be all about =)
Well I finished him faster than I had anticipated XD. Here he is:

Real name: Jared Wilson
Chose name: "Officer Wilson/Peacekeeper Wilson". Or just simply "Officer"

Age: 34
Gender: Male

Special Skills: He is a skilled marksman, capable of nailing his mark with both rifles and handguns. He is also good at hand-to-hand combat and disabling opponents. However, he rarely ever uses these skills. Only when "Lethal force is necessary". He also seems to have an affinity for modifying existing tools into something that is more useful. Though, he can only do this when he has the right items. And given the nature of the Dead Zone, finding such items will be a rare occurrence.

Tools: A revolver with a good amount of ammunition. A modified Taser that can be recharged using a pumping mechanism attached to it. Worn and weathered Riot Armor and air-filter helmet. A broken radio that he often talks to.

History: Jared was part of the 1% (after all, how else would someone be unaffected?). After the initial chaos, he used the skills taught to him by his police officer father to survive the new hostilities. This, was already enough to shake his mental stability, though he wasn't quite insane yet. Before the nuclear strikes fell, he had somehow managed to salvage police-grade riot armor, complete with a air-filter system that was probably used whenever tear-gas was utilized. He originally obtained them in order to protect himself from would-be attackers. Coincidentally, it would also protect him from the ensuing nuclear winter. The silent solitude was the last push that drove him to insanity, and he began believing himself to be a police officer or Peacekeeper, whose job was to maintain law and order however he could. He thought that way in order to justify the harsh measures he was taking in order to survive the wasteland. He now wanders the Dead Zone, upholding the law to everyone he encounters, Survivors and ANNET Children alike.

Other: While Jared is indeed insane (from the fact that he believes himself to be a law-man), he is actually very amiable to people he encounters. Acting relatively normal and friendly. However, when someone "breaks the law" in front of him, he shifts into a cold and calculative state where he attempts to subdue the "perpetrator" and deliver the fitting punishment, regardless of whether the "perpetrator" is a survivor or ANNET drone (sometimes even regardless of whether they are living or inanimate objects). He also seems to abide by some set of "Laws" which appear to be a mix of actual existing laws, and things he's simply made up. He lives by it during every second of his survival, regardless of whether it is an advantage or a detriment to him.
I'm pretty interested if you still intend to start up this RP =). I just need a bit of time to make my CS
