Current Trying to get back into the swing of things (for a 2nd time!)

Bio

Hi there I'm Rultaos, or simply Rult as some of my friends call me. I first got into RP'ing on two different sites back when I was in High School. The forums of the games Minecraft and Spiral Knights. Both had game-related RP's, as well as off-topic ones regarding fantasy and sci-fi. This was around 3-4 years ago. I wasn't really good at it back then, but I met a lot of great people and feel like I really improved since then.

For any of you who are curious, this was one of my biggest RP undertakings before I got into this site (My username also comes from this as a tribute to it!). It's not really a very well-written roleplay (or a very well-managed one for that matter). But it really meant a lot to me because of how far it went, how long it survived, and how it inspired my fellow players there. It always fills me with a sense of nostalgia whenever I glance at it in my bookmarks...

I got into RPGuild back when it was still using the old server (the one that got taken down after Mahz got behind on his pay and the providers ended their service without warning). I was pretty bummed when this happened because I was already actively participating in a number of roleplays, and I could only stay in contact with a select few guildmates on the Facebook group. Eventually, the long wait was over, and the site was given renewed life after a few bumps in the road that guildmaster Mahz faced in his attempts to resurrect this place. It was a good day for many including myself when this site slowly started getting more and more features.

2014 was my second year in college and was a very stressful time for me. Mostly concerning academics, with a few occasional problems regarding friends and fellow students alike. Because of this, I had to suddenly drop out of roleplaying for a while in order to have the time to get my real life back in order.

Now, I've returned to the site, and am hoping to get back into the groove of roleplaying and make more great friends and have even greater adventures through whatever huge universe your brilliant minds can think of! If you wanna invite me to play, or even just have a friendly chat about anything, send a message my way and I'll reply as soon as I can =)

For those of you who are wondering, my roleplay interests include: Sci-Fi, Military, sometimes Fantasy, a Fandom one if I'm familiar with the source material, heck I'd be willing to dabble in an Apocalypse setting as well. I'm also willing to try new things as well if it seems fascinating enough. So hit me up with an idea any time and I'd be happy to share my thoughts with you.

Well, I feel like I've used up enough for your time. Thanks for caring enough to read all this, and I hope you enjoy your roleplay adventures as much as I have in the past and the present ^_^

Hello?

Come on fellas, we're dying here :/. I'm trying my best...
I have yet to receive any voice requests... but if you need me I'm still here
@Mackielars

Character accepted! You are free to post :)
Karadar had barely made it to the door when he heard one of his squadmates speak. "Gross! How can knights drink this shit?!" The voice said. As if possessed by a ghost, he snapped his head around almost 180 degrees, and saw Spark holding one of the glasses that Virgo had used.

Sprinting with inhuman speed towards her, Karadar pulled her away from the bar. "Did you not hear a word I had just said?! No one is allowed to touch those drinks without permission from the Guildmaster!" He scolded, shaking her. Then, he suddenly realized that he was violently shaking a young woman in a public place. Not to mention that he was probably taking his anger out on her. Embarassed at his lack of self-control, he released her and backed away. "Sorry. But please obey the rules..." He said solemnly as he walked back out the door.

"We still have the rest of the Guild to cover. We should get moving." He said.

The next stop of the group was the Guild library. A massive room whose walls were completely lined with books, and had reading tables (star-shaped) spread across the floor. "You are free to make use of any of the books in the area during your spare time. Our library has an extensive collection, with rare books on magic and other things such as 'Controlling Wood: for Elemental Knights' and '37 ways to cook Dragon meat without poisoning yourself'. However, you are not allowed to take any of them out of the library. Strictly. Violators will be punished." Karadar said.

After that was the Guild auditorium. a large room that resembled something out of a theater. Complete with ornate chairs and red curtains. "All major announcements take place in the auditorium. Important meetings are also set-up here. But when it's not being used for business, the auditorium is used freely for theatrical plays. Props and costumes are to be provided by the users only. The Guild does not sponsor theater arts. In fact, it was originally banned from happening in this room. However, many Knights in the past were very hard-headed, so after a long and arduous legal battle, the rule was abolished." Karadar said.

Their next stop was at the roof of the Guild. In order to get there, they had to climb two different sets of stairs, traverse several corridors, and climb up a long ladder. It was undoubtedly very energy-sapping for the squad, and they were sweaty by the time they arrived. Here, there was an entire room dedicated as a bird coop. "This is the message center of the Guild. Any messages sent to the Guild and it's members arrive here on carrier birds. The Knights who collect the mail have two jobs to accomplish. One: They must collect the mail and distribute it to the receivers. Two: They mustn't forget to clean up the bird crap." Karadar explained. At this point, everyone realized just how horrible the smell of the room was.

"It appears I need to have a word with the previous mail collector..." Karadar commented, covering up his mouth and nose.

Heading back downstairs. Karadar turned to his squad. "Isn't this exciting? I'm sure you're all a little overwhelmed by the Guild, so we shall retire to the living quarters for the moment. Although, I'm sure you'd all love nothing more than to continue with this tour. So it will only be a brief respite of about... Five minutes. Come along!" He said enthusiastically, failing to notice the fatigue of some of the squad.

Andred Karrion looked very haggard, with his sweat ruining the appearance of both his hair and clothing. Anyone could tell from just his face that he was very cross. He muttered to the rest of the squad as they lagged behind Karadar. "Who does this man think he is?! Driving us around like mules... We should've been taken to our rooms first so we could've done away with these hefty bags, instead of having to carry them all around this dreadfully designed structure." He said, noting how impractical the architecture of the guild building was, given that they had to walk through a maze to get to the roof. Literally. They literally had to walk through a hallway maze after the first flight of stairs, in order to reach the second flight. They were just lucky that Karadar had memorized every path in the Guild by heart.

The squad reached a corridor with several doors. On the doors were the names of the Zodiac Squads. Stopping in front of the Libra door, Karadar produced a key and unlocked it.

Inside was a room with two large couches, a single star-shaped table, some random paintings for atmosphere, and a Magic Mirror. To the left and right of the room were two doors, with a male and female symbol on each. One could assume that the beds for each member lied beyond those doors. "This Magic Mirror was enchanted to have over 150 different channels, including live theater dramas, reality talk shows, and market advertisments. The doors on either side lead into the rooms for men and women. They are separated out of respect for each gender's privacy. You may leave your items inside." Karadar said.

He then pulled out a golden pocket watch. "The five-minute break begins... now." He said, pressing a button on it.
Sorry guys. I got caught up in some real-life issues. Got stressed out >_<, but I'll try to get an IC post up this evening. If I don't, I'll have one up by morning. Sorry again.

EDIT: There, got my post up. I decided to fast forward the tour so that we can get some more interaction from the characters. Just pretend that the rest of the tour happened in a montage of panoramic shots showing the rooms, with Libra Squad walking around in them, and with Karadar's voice speaking like a narration
What if our first deployment was to an area where Dead Shadows was last reported. Our job would be an investigation to find their whereabouts, while dealing with possible hostiles in the area. The things we discover would act as foreshadowing towards story points and arcs. I can't explain much because the concept is Silver's idea, and I wouldn't want to railroad it.

Yes, I am crapping out random ideas in the hopes of sparking inspiration...
Disappointed, a bit :(. At the very least, this should give me extra time for another RP I have in mind.

Apologies. Always move on without me unless I say I'm posting.I was busy uninstalling windows 8 and reinstalling windows 7.Can someone give me an overview of what has happened while i was gone?

Not much. ReaptheMusic joined us as a stowaway character. And the tour continued through the lobby and mess hall, where we met Virgo Squad. Their leader proceeded to annoy Karadar, and Elizabeth (against all warning) chose to drink from the beer. That's about it.

Hello there. I'm the new guy. Nice to meet all of you old-timers.

In the previous installments, I was the new guy. So from one rookie to another, I have a couple of things to tell you:

1. You're gonna have a good time :)
2. If someone starts talking about female furry art, expect the conversation to go pervy in less than an hour.

@Rultaos Awe man you dropping out? I guess that's the choice you made... Even though your half ass posts seem to look better than mine XD Well I hope something inspires you to comeback down the road... Its enjoyable working with a familiar face, ya know?

Maybe i will be inspired again. But for now, I'd rather let the spot go to someone who actively wants to be a part of this :). Besides, I'll still be lurking around the thread every now and again.
