Current Trying to get back into the swing of things (for a 2nd time!)

Bio

Hi there I'm Rultaos, or simply Rult as some of my friends call me. I first got into RP'ing on two different sites back when I was in High School. The forums of the games Minecraft and Spiral Knights. Both had game-related RP's, as well as off-topic ones regarding fantasy and sci-fi. This was around 3-4 years ago. I wasn't really good at it back then, but I met a lot of great people and feel like I really improved since then.

For any of you who are curious, this was one of my biggest RP undertakings before I got into this site (My username also comes from this as a tribute to it!). It's not really a very well-written roleplay (or a very well-managed one for that matter). But it really meant a lot to me because of how far it went, how long it survived, and how it inspired my fellow players there. It always fills me with a sense of nostalgia whenever I glance at it in my bookmarks...

I got into RPGuild back when it was still using the old server (the one that got taken down after Mahz got behind on his pay and the providers ended their service without warning). I was pretty bummed when this happened because I was already actively participating in a number of roleplays, and I could only stay in contact with a select few guildmates on the Facebook group. Eventually, the long wait was over, and the site was given renewed life after a few bumps in the road that guildmaster Mahz faced in his attempts to resurrect this place. It was a good day for many including myself when this site slowly started getting more and more features.

2014 was my second year in college and was a very stressful time for me. Mostly concerning academics, with a few occasional problems regarding friends and fellow students alike. Because of this, I had to suddenly drop out of roleplaying for a while in order to have the time to get my real life back in order.

Now, I've returned to the site, and am hoping to get back into the groove of roleplaying and make more great friends and have even greater adventures through whatever huge universe your brilliant minds can think of! If you wanna invite me to play, or even just have a friendly chat about anything, send a message my way and I'll reply as soon as I can =)

For those of you who are wondering, my roleplay interests include: Sci-Fi, Military, sometimes Fantasy, a Fandom one if I'm familiar with the source material, heck I'd be willing to dabble in an Apocalypse setting as well. I'm also willing to try new things as well if it seems fascinating enough. So hit me up with an idea any time and I'd be happy to share my thoughts with you.

Well, I feel like I've used up enough for your time. Thanks for caring enough to read all this, and I hope you enjoy your roleplay adventures as much as I have in the past and the present ^_^

Interest. Your description of the Holy Knight reminds me of the Sun Knight

Can I ask where this Sun Knight you're referring to comes from? Because personally, I've never heard of it XD
Re-stating idea: Anthros could be the result of an experiment to increase the survivability of humans when out in the wild. Makes sense because the mission area is a town in the middle of nowhere. The experiment can be said to have happened some time ago, which would explain the existence of civilian anthros; they are people who have retired from (or abandoned) their civic duties.
Haha, nice to see you again Rin. To be fair, this is an in-development site being made by Mahz himself, so expect glitches. Anyway, welcome back.
Bit of a late check-in, but here I am at the gates of the new Guild. Hi! I'm Rultaos from the old Guild, you may or may not recognize me. Either way, you'll see me around the Casual section. If you're an old acquaintance of mine, please drop by to say hello :).

Some info about me: I'm a guy from the Philippines, a college student, and a decent English writer. I enjoy roleplaying and video games (but not necessarily Roleplaying Games :P). Hope to roleplay with you guys and gals very soon. And hopefully, we wont have a repeat of the fall of our Guild.

With Mahz in full-command (And the council of VBulletin no longer interfering), this Guild shall not fall as easily!
My interest is still on Protocol 726. By the way, did you see my suggestion on Anthro origins before the site got restarted?
Sweet, 2 people are interested :). I'd like to get at least 4 people before starting the OOC. But if it takes too long, then I suppose I'll just cut my losses. As an update, I fixed a typo, and added weapon enchantment as a skill of Elemental Knights.
Welp, the forum restart deleted the damn topics, so let me try this again...

A long time ago, in a land far far away... Bah! You’ve heard this a thousand times already haven’t you? Alright, I’ll just get to the point then. Some time ago in this strange land (which we shall call “Lanquar”), a man who was too curious for his own good managed to unlock the secret to an ancient art known as “Magic”.

By now you’re probably thinking: “Who’s never discovered magic before in fantasy lands?”. Well you see, these people were a little dimwitted and discovered magic much later than other fantasy universes, so don’t be too hard on them.

Anyway, upon discovering magic, the kings in charge of the different kingdoms decided that such a powerful ability had to be kept under control. So, they decreed that magic should only be used by a select few. Another reason was the fact that only some special people displayed a natural affinity for magic at a young age. They were to be taken and trained to master their powers, and act as elite soldiers of their kingdom. Those who were to become magic-users were called by the kings as “Magic Knights”. Genius.

In response, the population revolted, saying it was unfair, and launched several rebellions. That is, until one of the rebel leaders learned magic and accidentally burned himself to death. After that, the commoners calmed down and agreed to the rule.

As a result, each kingdom created a guild that housed each of their Magic Knights (and each had a signature shaped table design!). And these guilds were tasked with protecting the lands and people of their respective kingdoms. Because of their exceptional control of magic, they were able to maintain peace within their land, and scare off any would-be enemies.

However, this peace would not last forever. Sinister forces are stirring, evil tides are tossing, monstrous machinations are mobilizing, And bad baddies are... Screw it, you get the point! And who else is there to stop them but, The Knights of the Polygonal Tables!

Oh I can tell this is going to be an interesting journey... And it all starts with the Magic Knights of the Zerandar Kingdom; The Excalibur Guild.

Enough chit-chat then. So, what do you say? Are you interested to hear about this story and the adventures our unlikely heroes will go through? Or am I boring you at this point and you’re just getting ready to leave? Well whatever it may be, at least grace me with an answer so I know that I’m not just talking to brick wall.

Come on, don’t be shy. Speak up!

UPDATE: Keep track of OOC progress, and discuss Magic Skills right here. (Do not edit the document without proper permission. I only made it public for the sake of convenience)
