Kazuya held his book close to his chest as he continued to look down at the floor, he heard the Captain go into his office and grab some papers then he exited his office then spoke something Kazuya really didn't want to hear, it made his eyes widen. He didn't want to spar anyone, especially not this girl! he could barely look at her! how was he supposed to fight someone he could hardly look at? Kazuya looked up to see the Captain motion for them to follow and he did so until they were in the training grounds and when the Captain asked if they had any Questions Kazuya had to blurt out something despite being incredibly nervous "U-Umm C-Captain could w-we not...umm...y-you know...b-be tested another way?...I-I'm just n-not all that c-comfortable about s-sparring" Kazuya then bowed after he said this, he didn't want to anger the Captain and he felt like he had already blown his chance in the Squad by even asking the Question but if they were going to be sparring a lot then...maybe it just wasn't for him...maybe he would only fit in a Squad like Squad 4...like everyone said...they all said in the Academy that he'd end up doing the most cowardly job...he wanted to prove them wrong but not like this...he would do his best to fight the enemy but people he'd likely see day in and day out? it'd be humiliating for him...

Ryan raised an eyebrow as Kazuya said that he wouldn't be comfortable sparring. Not often that someone's completely against the idea of sparring... He glanced to Canaan who had seemed to have already accepted the idea, figuring he'd be the one sparring against her if Kazuya really wouldn't do it. (btw, Ryan isn't thinking the names, I'm just using them to be specific) He then nodded before handing him the papers to join. "I'll be testing you out in a different way then, keep these while I take your place in the sparring, then." He looked to Canaan, "Unless you'd also prefer a different testing method?"

Ryan looked past Canaan to the other person joining his squad so late. He nodded to the two. "Alright, I'll get the papers." He walked to his desk, getting the joining papers, and bringing them with him. "You two will be sparring against each other." He then motioned for them to follow him before heading towards the training grounds. Once they were all there, he would glanced betwene them both, "Whenever you're ready you may begin, if you have any questions before-hand, ask now."

... Wouldn't you learn both names at the same time? *raises an eyebrow, seeing as they're technically the same zanpakuto, even if it's two separate swords*

Julia followed Kenta back to the barracks, having completed their mission. (thanks for pushing that end to the mission along Expllo) She hadn't really used much energy in this mission either, but let Kenta do the talking until afterwards. "Alright, now that's over, we take him back, and then I head back to my own barracks." I guess I got off the hook pretty easily considering this is the punishment squad... Good thing he wasn't in the mood to put me through too much to get back to my squad... Unless he's planning something else... I wouldn't put it past him...

Ryan glanced to Miyume as she began asking a large number of questions. He waited until she seemed completely finished before he began his response. "I promised a week of research, and that's what will happen, but the children might find a way to escape after that week if squad twelve doesn't let them go. As for the hollow masks... I'm not a hollow, I'm a vaizard. Those kids might be part hollow, but I don't know, that's why they're in squad twelve's barracks... As for eating hollows, no, that's for hollows to do, vaizards are different. Vaizards are mostly shinigami, with a small bit of hollow in them that allows them to use more power than normal for short periods of time while the mask is worn. We have a counter-part known as Arrancars, but as far as I know, there are none currently. If you do ever see what looks like a shinigami with part of a hollow mask on their face then it's a vaizard." He glanced back towards squad twelve, before answering the last of all the questions, "I became a vaizard due to some crazy scientest's experimentation... Who it is, or where, I don't know, but that scientist is what made me this..."

Ryan had been working on some paper work in his office, thinking about the children slightly before he heard a knock on his office door. He glanced up, not recognizing the spiritual pressure. He stood up, walking to the door. Probably someone from research and development saying that they might need the children for a bit longer than expected... He opened the door and looked at the woman who had knocked. "Hello." He glanced where their squad sign usually would be, but didn't see it. A new member to the squad, or someone that doesn't want me to know their squad? He waited for the response, as well as explanation as to why they were there, if it would come then. He didn't see Kazuya behind Canaan, however, as he was only a child compared to most shinigami, and hadn't even grown to full size yet.

Legends of Light and Dark

Ryan returned to his own quarters, being sure to pack everything he would need. This simply included daily supplies and his sword, considering he used light as his armor. He walked outside after retrieving the necessary items, got on his horse, and rode towards the gate, following the carriage that was bringing Koat to the forward camp. As they arrived, he got off of his horse, dropping to the ground below. He glanced to the night sky, expecting to wait until dawn, but suddenly hearing Koat say that they would be attacking soon." That seems a bad move, but if that's the plan, perhaps it is best... He joined in the cheer to their kingdom, before listening to what Koat said about when they would attack. Twenty minutes...?
Ryan began preparations for the battle, walking around and suggesting that people put out any torches or lanterns they had with them to use on the battlefield. He figured that if they couldn't fight in the day, they could fight with at least some light. He put out his own lantern, putting it on his belt, and picked up an unlit torch. May the light protect those only wishing to return to their families tonight, and guide those who fight for honor instead. He double-checked the belt for his sheathe before laying down, waiting for the call for the attack to begin.

Miyume remained after Chie and Hikari(I'd assume) took their leave, curious on what these kids actually were. She had a clue seeing how her Captain could used the same weird Hollow thingy as the two but that invisible trick was something else entirely. Ryan questioned the kids before sending them to research and development, promising that would be released within a week's time. Once they were transported to the 12 division's research by one of there own, She would turn to the Captain with a serious look on her face. "You don't actually intend on keeping your promise to them, do you?" Miyume asked, even though she probably knew the answer to question she was asking.

Ryan raised an eyebrow at Miyume. "You think they deserve to be held forever?" He glanced in the direction that squad twelve was in, "No matter their case, they are still human. They shouldn't be trapped in Research and Development for even the week that they'll be there..." He frowned slightly, partially clenching his fists before seeming to force himself to relax. "If I could have avoided it, I wouldn't have even sent them to squad twelve in the first place... They're just kids trying to survive, even if they do have less than kind attitudes."

Well, I believe the first page has a list of the filled captain slots, I control Ryan, so if you were looking to join Squad 3, I'm the one you speak to, otherwise, it should be in the list, if there's no captain for that particular squad, talk to another one of the captains, and they'll get you into that squad (and get your missions from those other captains as well)
