Noelle's facade never wavered, but inside her mind was in a frenzy. "This isn't happening, this shouldn't be happening- Shit, what am I going to do now!?" Noelle's lips quivered for a moment, and she resigned herself to speak the truth. It was obvious that Sharee, even without magical means, could see through her lies. Noelle would just have to tell her the truth, or at least not lie about what she did. "I never thought that you would fall for love. Not that I know what it is, hence why I asked. Ah, but listen to me, beating around the bush... Well, when I came in today, I found you asleep on the floor reeking of ale. I figured you were drunk and I was hesitant to wake you up, less I find you in a sour mood. And I wanted to talk to you about the plans for the ship, but I know I can't act on it without your approval, which you might not be so willing to give if you're still in a stupor. And time was of the essence. So I... Cast an enchantment on myself. It increases my charisma and personality, allow me to have and air of ease and familiarity even with total strangers. And among closer associates like you and I, it creates a much more... Intimate relationship." Noelle spoke with the truth, though with a hint of nervousness and fear, likely because the captain was staring daggers into her. And may soon put physical ones into her as well.

"Though I do speak honestly that I never thought that you think of me so well that you would even be willing to lay with me. I had imagined our relationship was... Professional at best. We haven't really gotten to know each other that well that I would have thought you would have such feeling for me while I was still enchanted. The spell should have worn off by now, just so you know. I hope you don't mind my magic. It has served me well, and I intend to still use it as often as I can, for whatever reason arises." Noelle bowed her head and kept it there, not looking Sharee directly into her face. Noelle was putting herself at the captain's mercy; she could very well drive a dagger into the Breton's back or even decapitate her, if Sharee was so inclined. Noelle just hoped that she was honest enough not to get executed.
Noelle was going to try to keep smoothing talking Sharee when she suddenly slammed the door, blocking Noelle's only viable exit. Sharee's former, seductive appearance was replaced with one far more furious. Noelle's own expression changed, to a more stoic and aloof look that masked her fright and worry. "This shouldn't be happening, the magic should still be in effect..." Noelle thought, looking at Sharee. The magic was still there, but the captain... Was more perspective than Noelle thought. But it should still be in effect, and now that Sharee was more or less onto her, she needed to use it more than ever. More importantly, Noelle needed to defuse this situation before things got out of hand. "However... I can't rely on magic right now. I have to think of something..." Clearing her throat, Noelle put on a smile. Both to hide her intentions as well as give her a boost of confidence. "Oh? Well than, perhaps it's something more serious... An maybe, just maybe, a touch unfamiliar." At times like this, crime, once exposed, has no refuge but in audacity.

"Captain, what is love?"
Noelle stood her ground, her face marked with a subtle but smug grin, unaware that Sharee was onto her magic. The magic was going to last a few more minutes, but this would be a good chance to get into Sharee's good graces. While the effect isn't permanent, the actions done during ti's duration can often result in the same effect. In other words, if Noelle can actually raise Sharee's disposition to a high level while Sharee is still under the effects of Noelle's illusion, she should continue having the same feelings for Noelle. Now the breton just had to play her cards right. "You flatter me Captain, if that's your intent. And I cannot say that I would not enjoy that... But maybe another time, when neither of us have our duties to attend to." Noelle tried to play the professionalism card. It works rather well for her when she was a bard, good for keeping suitors away when she really does have to do work. It gave them the impression that she was actually giving them a chance. But at the same time, she can't let her quarry get away. She'd try to reverse the table of questioning. "Perhaps it was all the drink from last night? Though I doubt that someone of your constitution would be effected by merely a barrel or two of ale. Still... While I'm in town, perhaps I can find a tonic to ease the effect of all the alcohol. Would that please you?"
Pe-cahn-ns, Pe-cans, Freeshooter. You should know that it doesn't make a difference to him.
I posted a little. I'll be on a bit later tonight.
Noelle smirked as Sharee agreed to her thoughts on the garden project. All Noelle had to do was figure out a way to get water to filter out the salt and other chemicals in sea water to ensure that the garden is healthy and alive. And Noelle had some ideas how to do that. She'll need to consult with some of the others to craft the device for her, but if they stay here for at least a week, Noelle should have the device and the garden plot ready. If this turns out well, she might even start asking Sharee to expand the Infirmary into a full blown apothecary. After Serge left Noelle was about to do the same when she noticed Sharee giving her a suggestive look. The effects of her spell might have... Been a bit too much. As much as Noelle wants to make sure that the captain is captivated by her, she doesn't want to instigate some sort of mutiny for being too close to the captain than others. Not that Noelle didn't like the idea, but she wanted to ensure that she had the backing of more than just the captain before she went through with it. When Sharee commented that Noelle looked attractive, she began to act playfully bashful. "Thank you, captain. I know that appearances isn't really important for the day-to-day business on the ship, but... It's always nice to look your best. Was there... Anything else you wanted?"
"Ah, no, captain. I'm afraid that I didn't keep you company. But I have prepared breakfast for you, if-" Just than Serge arrived. He had himself a cup of tea before speaking to the captain. Sharee was coming to her senses so Noelle handed her a cup of the tea, while pouring herself one as well. It was decent, if sour. Sharee than mentioned the reason they where here; they were going to hit a skooma vessel. Moon sugar was a useful alchemy ingredient and narcotic. There aren't many businesses that would deal with the stuff, but those who do would buy it for a good price. However, selling within Elsweyr would be ill advised; while the Dominion is trying to crack down on sales, Elsweyr produces Moon Sugar mostly freely. Trying to sell them their own product would be... Ill advised. However, outside of the lands were it originates from, Moon Sugar is an exotic treat and has a price to match. High Rock was the first place that Noelle thought they should start selling the moon sugar at, as many of their chef use moon sugar for their more risque delicacy, or the orcs who have more recreational use for it.

"Do you have a plan for how we're going to take on that ship? Recently the men have been stripping the parts off the boat. I'm not sure if it's ready for a sea battle. Not only that, but the Infirmary is in need of more supplies than what we have now. While I'm not afraid to pay out of my own pocket, even I don't have enough to stock the infirmary as well as I'd like it to be." What Noelle was trying to tell Sharee was that they needed to use that Skooma money to buy more Infirmary supplies. But Sharee should still be under the effects of Noelle's spell, so she pressed on. "As well as upgrading the ship, since it's practically bare bones right now. While I understand the need to give it some armor and weapons, we're a pirate ship, but a war vessel; we'll be out at sea for a long time, and starvation and infections aren't opponents we can simply stab with our swords. Have you considered adding the garden project to the ship? That would ensure that we're well supplied with regents I need for the Infirmary, and even food for the kitchen."
If you think that's bad, check out the break room.
After leaving Sharee's office Noelle went to check up on her own group. The khajiits behaved themselves well enough around her, though she did catch them trying to peek onto some women changing into their work clothes. Pranksters, but as long as they only do harmless jokes, she'd tolerate them. Gaius was a stoic individual to the point of boredom. He answered Noelle's plainly, even personal ones like his family, career, and his sex life (She asked him just to try to throw him off his game). While she did notice that he did his best not to make eye contact and kept outside of arm's distance from her, he seemed to just be a very stoic and no-nonsense warrior. Noelle decided that she was done talking to him for now, but she knew that he was still hiding something from her, and she was going to figure it out before it would come to bite her in the ass. The altmer initially did come off as a haughty bastard, but after Noelle quickly proved to be a magical and intellectual equal, he was quick to submit to her. She tried to let him off easy, but when he pressed hard on her Noelle didn't pull her punches (Figuratively). The next few days she spent organizing what she had in mind for them, from their role on the ship, their strategies when fighting together, and what she wanted them to do should they hit land.

Than came to the matter of what her job specifically was when she wasn't working with her group. The ship's infirmary was a mess, to say the least; they had enough supplies to deal with some light wounds and maybe a single outbreak, but if an extreme emergency hit them now they would only survive by the seat of their pants. What she had to cobble together would be able to handle wounds well enough, but they lacked tools and materials she'd need to ensure that no one is diseased or dies of poison. When asked, there wasn't many here who were certified healers either; even those with a little Restoration magic only had enough to cure light wounds for themselves, let alone for others or with more serious wounds. She managed to get together about five others who's skills with magic was enough to teach them how to remove poisons and disease, but none of them worked for her specifically and could possibly leave for whatever reason. She used some of her guile and illusion magic to convince them to remain within the Infirmary, serving as it's permanent staff.

The next issue she had to tackle was alchemy supplies. Not only for her potions but also to create poisons for the crewmembers. Not everything she used could simply be left in satchels or barrels; some needed to be preserved, salted, or frozen. This meant keeping them with the food; some of what she needed for her crafts is food. But Cynric was the one in charge of keeping the kitchen, which was the only place that had a suitable area for her to store some of her reagents. Noelle tried not to make too much of a fuss about it by getting creative with frost magic, but that would only hold her over for so long. She needed at least one entire room to preserve much of the reagents for her alchemy. But if she could convince the captain to create a garden on the ship, that would eliminate much of her problems with keeping her supplies fresh.

Eventually the ship hit port on the island of Khenarthi's Roost. Noelle's never been here before, and in fact never traveled in the Aldmeri Dominion. She didn't really have much interest in it's policies, to say the least. She didn't know why the captain wanted to stop here, or even sail into the Dominion's waters. She's heard tales of their warships and how they would fling the most destruction of fire and lighting on their enemies. Mostly this came from tales of their clash with the Maormer, another group she'd rather not have too many dealings with. While information on the Maormer was small and mostly stories, she doesn't want to add another enemy on her list, nor risk the wrath of the Dominion by being their ally. But ultimately, this was the captain's decision. And wanting to know what Sharee thinks, Noelle headed to the Captain's cabin and knocked on her door. "Captain, we've arrived to Khenarthi's Roost! Captain?"

Noelle waited patiently outside Sharee's room for a short while. She remembered seeing the captain drink quite heavily the day before, and has even prepared a somewhat tasteful hangover tea. Noelle kept knocking on the door with one hand, and when her two khajiits arrived, she had them unlock the door while Noelle spoke over them. "Captain, I'm coming in to inform you of my plans for today, as well as to obtain any orders you might have for us." Once the door was open Noelle entered the cabin and saw Sharee naked on the floor, lightly snoring. Snooing away her two subordinates, Noelle locked the door behind her and made her tea. Once she had set up a rudiment breakfast, Noelle lightly nudged the captain. "Captain, you're asleep on the floor. Naked. Aren't you cold? Anyways, we've arrived to the docks of Khenarthi's Roost. If you don't have any orders for the officers or the crew, there are some things I'd like to collect while we're here. There's also the matter of adding some new additions to the ship. I believe we've spoken about adding a garden project?" Before Sharee awakens, Noelle cast another illusion on herself that would make herself seem more appealing to Sharee, to assist in convincing her to agree with Noelle. And just in case that still doesn't work, Noelle casted another spell that would increase Sharee's disposition to Noelle, if her own magical charm didn't do the trick.
The mage used a cone of cold on Karine, hoping to freeze her solid. But her blood was boiling too hot to be frozen in ice, and she charged. Slowly, but she was charging nonetheless. By the time the mage's spell was over Karine emerged from the frost and tackled the mage over with her shield. It knocked him against the railing and nearly over the water but he managed to keep himself steady. Karine's body was weighed down by ice now, but she wasn't going to worry about that. "Pathetic!" She roared as she charged the mage again. He ran to the opposite side, his light weight and speed being the only thing keeping Karine away from him. He tried to blast a bolt of magic at Karine, but it sputtered into nothingness against her shield. Right as he was going to try to run again Karine caught up to the mage and knocked him over with her shield. She raised her morning star up high and brought it down onto the man, who managed to block the first place at the expense of his staff. The second blow managed to crush his ankle as he tried to roll away, and now he was in no position to run. Underneath her full-face helmet Karine snarled at the mage. "Is that it? That is all that you could do? Weakling!" Karine brought her morning star up high to kill the mage, but he had one last trick up his sleeve.

Using the blood that was pouring from his ankle, he used the last bit of his magic and some of his own blood to summon three demon of rage between him and Karine. The summoning caused a small explosion, one that knocked the mage down to the lower deck and caused Karine to stumble, but she stood her ground. The warrior smirked as the demon roared at her, and she resumed her stance. "This should be fun... Let's go!" Karine charged at the demon just as the demon lunged at her.

The scene on the boat did not go unnoticed by the city however. Various onlookers ran away screaming, hoping to warn the local authorities of what was going on. One man in particular, more interested in spreading the news, went inside a tavern and shouted over the noise. "There are demons in the city! They're just underneath the bridge, a Templar is fighting them all by herself!" This caused a few people to get up and head towards the bridge to watch the fight, against all better logic.

Karine charged the three demons as they attacked her. Two of them jumped on her, thinking they could crush her under their combined weight. But Karine was no lithe elvish lass; the weight of both demons were nothing to her. She tossed the off her back, one who fell into the water, the other who landed on the deck below. Karine than began to brutally pummel the demon despite suffering burns from it's flaming flesh. The pain from her weapons was much greater than the pain of the demon's fire. With a final smash, Karine felt her morning star break through the deck as the demon was no more. Only a blacken smudge remained of his existence in this world.

Standing to her feet, Karine looked at the next Rage Demon. He threw a fireball at her which engulfed Karine in flames. The demon, in it's arrogance, roared in victory. Except that he did not win. Running out of the inferno Karine's form emerged, wreathed in flames. Painful flames, but it did not kill her yet, so she continued to fight. She tackled the beast into the water, extinguishing the flames. The demon began to beat on Karine's body, tried to wrap it's hands around her neck, but everything he did Karine did to him first. With a firm death-grip around the base of it's head, she began to pummel the demon, so ferociously that the damage was still quite a lot even as the two were sinking. Eventually the demon was killed, and Karine swam back to the surface before running out of air. Her body was sore, muscles ache, and the sting of burnt flesh would have killed other men, or at least incapacitated them. But Karine was not like other men. Not like Templar's who only chased after mages who were in over their heads. Mustering her energy Karine climbed back onto the deck of the ship.

Karine tracked the Blood Mage down into the lower deck, his trail of blood giving him away. How he planned to escape Karine wasn't certain, as he was hardly trying to hide himself. He leaned against the wall of the boat, his breath heavy and his body shaking. He would likely be killed by his own blood lost within the next few minutes, and would prove to be no challenge at all. Karine regretted not going to kill that Demon first, but she had a job to do. The Blood Mage began to throw insults at Karine, taunting her Templar Order and decrying them as an evil organization who does nothing but oppress innocent mages and force them to do evil just to escape their regime. He might of have more to rant about, but it was quickly silenced when Karine smashed his skull in with her Morning Star.

Eventually Karine steered the ship to a dock, where Benedict had the smarts to find her at. She was exhausted, but entertained. She'd need to go find a healer to tend to her wounds, or at least a private place to do so herself. As she mounted on her horse she than remembered the reason why she was here; she had spent so much time chasing that pickpocket that she nearly forgot about the meeting with Lady Vasilia! "Come on Benedict! Hiya!" Filled with a new source of energy Karine spurned her horse into a full gallop towards the manor of the noble. It didn't take her long to arrive and less to go through all the guards. Most recognized her Chevalier Armor or at least the letter she held, which given that at least three others have arrived with the same letters, most knew better than to get in their way. She arrived in a room with a large table and chairs. She saw an Elf and a Qunari, both mages from their equipment and the sense of magic from them, a Grey Warden, and who Karine recognized as Lady Vasilia. "Greeting's milady. I apologize if I'm late, I had to settle a despite near the docks. My name is Karine Madeline. Tis a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
