"Oh ho? So you did take my job offer. Certainly more strait forward than Roxy is." Salroka began to eat her salad after Donny brought it out to her. "So, how's work? I'm guessing you've already met the manager and the chef?"
Salroka entered the cosplay cafe and took a seat at one of the booths. When someone came to take her order she chose a salad with a cup of water. She wondered if that orc really did show up here.
Salroka was getting angrier at how defiant Roxy was being. She was just trying to help, and it looked like Roxy was just throwing it all back at her face. "Oh yeah? Than what's you big plan than Roxy? Fuck your way to the top? You said it yourself, you don't have any ID, a home, references. All you do is dress up like a whore and spend a few hours to get a couple bucks. What than? What's your end game? You think that somehow someone is just going to drop everything you want in your hands, no strings attached? Face it girl, you're getting screwed in more ways than one if you want to do this legally. But fine." Salroka shot her hands up and began to walk away. "You must have a lot of pride being a prostitute if you aren't willing to even look at the chances I'm giving you. Maybe one day I'll find you around town and hire you for a night. That seems like the only way you'll accept my help." Salroka left Roxy behind. Since she wasn't going to take these opportunities, Salroka would take a look at a few herself.
"Just about any job, if you know the right people. And I know the right people. But yeah, I get it. You were stupid. Left home as a little girl, and you're still a little girl. Little girl doing horrible, horrible things. Well that just means you're not exactly in any position to make demands, does it?" Salroka took out a slip of paper with some addresses on it. Taking out some more paper and a pen, she wrote down some names and addresses, including a phone number. "I'm not going to lie to you when I say you can get these jobs because there isn't any regulation. They're practically illegal. Now I've only given you the addresses of a few jobs that I think you can handle given your personality. And no, none of them require you getting fucked, literally or figuratively. I'll be keeping in touch with some of the bigwigs to make sure your work goes off without a hitch. Also, these are only temporary jobs; because of how underground they are, you might be out of a job not because of anything you did, but because someone screwed up. If that happens, I can still get you other work. But this way you can get your precious ID and references. As for addresses, most of these places have personal mailboxes for their workers. They'll have to do for addresses until you can get a permanent place to stay. Any questions?"
"Oh? And what, you think you have the answer to your problems?" Salroka stood in front of Roxy so that she would stop moving ahead of her. "Look at yourself, girl. Living in some rundown building, selling your body, worried about living day-by-day. That doesn't sound like something you want to do, and here you are, throwing away any chance at changing that. 'Oh, I don't have a home' you say, 'I don't have any ID or education'. Excuses. You think all the jobs I've found need that sort of thing? You don't want to do anything illegal, but you don't even have the requirements for a legal job! You're setting yourself up to fail and you know it! You may know the rules of the world, but obviously you don't know how to bend them." Salroka was only half Roxy's size, but she stood defiant before her. "What would you do if I wasn't around, huh? Head back to your hotel, put on a slutty dress, and than stand at the corner hoping some desperate meal ticket comes around? Day in, day out? Hell, even that orc at least went out of his way to try to get a job, and he's a fucking orc! You don't know what you want to do with your life and you already think that you can't do anything. Don't you want to change that?"
"Oi! Roxy!" Salroka chased after the girl, which was a bit difficult since Roxy was much taller and had a longer stride. "And you think I'm doing any better off? The only reason I got those jobs is because I'm a pretty smooth talker, and maybe because I'm used to tugging people's heart strings. Come on, if you're going to take a chance, why not take every advantage you can get? It's not like I'm asking you to sell your soul or anything. You just tell me what you want your job to be, and I'm sure by tomorrow I can find a person who has an opening for it. Worse comes to worse, I'll be there to talk things out. What do you have to be afraid of?"
Salroka ate the rest of the hotdog pretzel herself. "It's all about who you know. Actually, during my short time here, I've met a lot of people who'd be willing to give me a job. Legal ones too, like being a cashier and stuff. It's really boring though, hence why I haven't taken them. If you'd want, I could talk to some people into getting you some work. Just tell me what you want to do and I'll keep any eye out."
"Still job hunting Roxy?" Salroka suddenly appeared next to Roxy with a bag of hotdog pretzels. Offering some to the girl the dwarf kept talking. "You know it's not too late to go after the jobs I told you about yesterday. Even stopped by that cafe place and saw your orc head into the kitchens."
Sure enough, Noelle was able to heal the lashes from yesterday's flogging. After her emotions settled down, she had some in the Infirmary assist her in applying healing salves, topping off with a touch of restoration magic to ensure that no scars remain. While some of the crew may hold onto their scars, Noelle found them to be unsightly. She decided to help maintain the ship since she had used practically all her time yesterday trying to get leads for Sharee, while her crew were often occupied spying on the Miriam. This did however, leave the ship's infirmary under supplied. Expectantly, after some of the crew came back from their shore leave they often returned with new scars and injuries that Noelle needed to patch up. And they did not make things easier for her between their own wounds and their gossip.

Though Sharee may have intended to withhold Noelle's illusions from the crew so that Noelle can still us it against them, it only served to be ripe materials for the crew to make up petty rumors to besmirch Noelle's name. Between her whipping and now, the name "Whore" and "Slattern" (For the more eloquent) somehow became synonymous to her. Noelle made no immediate efforts to counter the gossip, but she knew what power words had. If she let this continue, her authority would be undermined by the crew, regardless of her position as officer. To them, Noelle's punishment wasn't just a show of intimidation on Sharee's part, it was a chance to humiliate one of her officers. She'd have to find a way to redeem herself not just within the captain's eyes, but within the crew as well. Last thing she wanted was to be seen as a joke among the officers.

Between spying on the Mirian Noelle gathered local ingredients to create more potions, mainly to sell back to the populace for quick coin. She had much use from Naaji and Omdran, who stole small samples of moon sugar for her. While Sharee wanted to raid a bandit camp for a larger supply, Noelle helped herself to the small samples of Moon Sugar and refined them into skooma, adding cheap improvements to them so she could sell them back at Khenarthi's Roost. Using her magic, finding a buyer who would purchase her goods at well over it's regular cost was an easy task. She might as well have been taking the coins right out of their purses. Using the money she earned, she brought more regents for herself to use and occasionally some luxuries. Making use of Malakaus's enchanting services, she had her crossbow (Which she took from Gaius who kept to his longbow) enchanted. It took some time getting used to it, and even than she only brought it due to her own lack of range options. Noelle made a mental note to research a some elemental spells next time she finds a place that would sell her the magic texts.

Eventually Noelle arrived to Sharee's office. Despite what happened yesterday Noelle lost any feeling of contempt from Sharee, but also lost any feeling of familiarity either. Right now Sharee was merely Noelle's employer, with all that it implies. Noelle also decided to take Corrira with her for this mission. His expertise with Destruction and Conjuration magic would allow them to turn the tide of battle in a pitch, and should the battle be brought to them, he ensured her that he is quite capable of summoning creatures to protect them should none of their allies be near by. Not only that, but Noelle planned to use this outing to try to get to know Corrira better mainly so he could teach her destruction magic.

As Noelle waited she felt someone tap her shoulder. Turning to see who it was she saw Sarel, one of the officers, telling her about the garden she wanted on the ship. Noelle wondered when and who told Sarel about her request for it, though she imagined that Sharee told all her officers the truth behind yesterday's fiasco. She said nothing and simply waited in silence for the captain to address them.
Sereda was going to dismiss the Ash Warrior seeing that she had no interest in working with her, but the barkeep made a compelling argument. Sereda herself never really fancied herself a bounty hunter knowing that as great as her skills are, being outnumbered and fighting on enemy turf was a recipe for her death. Now if she got to work with someone else, like say this Ash Warrior, Sereda would be much more willing. The barkeep also mentioned how the king had put a bounty of fifty sovereigns on the outlaw known as the Devil Stag. "Fifty sovereigns? That's no paltry sum there, barkeep. Fifty sovereigns could fund a private army in the steel. I doubt those bandits are making even five sovereigns with their robbing and banditry." The money was almost too good. Not to mention not much use for the effort involved. Killing the Devil Stag would be one thing, but fifty sovereigns to being him in alive? It would almost be too costly. Still... She had an idea of what they could do. If she had the Ash Warrior's help to deal with the Devil Stag's underling, all she would need to do would sever his spine with a solid blow. Paralyze him from the waist down, or even the neck down, but leave him mostly alive. The biggest difficulty than would be making sure he didn't kill himself during the transit. Also, Sereda would need to convince the Ash Warrior to be willing to work with the dwarf.

"Barkeep, a drink for me and the Ash Warrior here. Whatever this covers." Sereda slid a single sovereigns to the barkeep while she got herself some decent ale. Once Sereda had a drink in her she decided to try to talk the Ash Warrior into working with her. "I've heard of the Ash Warriors back at Orzammar. Not many humans can truly master harnessing their rage like the berserkers of old. Too much passion, not enough control. It's the difference between an iron ore and an iron ingot. But when I hear about the Ash Warriors, they're like a fine weapon of destruction. It doesn't matter what they wield, be it a sword, or axe, or even just a simple cudgel. They fight with a rage that many dwarves can only dream of achieving." Sereda took a swig of her drink before finishing it, asking the barkeep to refill it. Sereda continued to talk.

"Of course, a berserker has to know her limits. A warriors rage is a very delicate thing, ironically enough. Rage takes over a person, makes them loose sight of their goal for the sake of fulfilling their emotions. Makes it very easy for them to get trapped, like an animal. A berserker's one strength also becomes it's greatest weakness. But that doesn't always need to be the case." Sereda thanked the barkeep and continued to drink her ale. "If those bandits are as cowardly as the barkeep claims they are, they probably have ways to makes sure not to fight you on even ground. A berserker's fury can only do so much when she's getting rained on by arrows thirty feet above her. Not to mention they probably out number you ten to one. Now you may have heard tales of heroes of old going up against veritable hordes and coming out on top, but don't pretend that you're in a story like that. Even if you were as large as a qunari warrior, it only takes three men to tackle you down and one to stab your eyes out. I should know, back when I was a caravan guard that's exactly how me and some other dwarves took down a qunari warrior. They likely have traps set up too, bear traps, wires, anything to make sure you don't get into a fair fight. And when you get into that rage you might ignore those small things, but it's those things that impede you just long enough for them to get an edge in."

Sereda finished her drink and got off the bar stool. She began to walk out of the tavern, speaking as she was leaving. "Point is, if you decide to do it alone, you're going in under the worse circumstances. Otherwise you'd best hope that they have as much confidence in their skill as you do, or they would do the cowardly thing and shoot you fifty yards away in the safety of their hideout. As for me, this bounty interests me. I think I'll have a crack at it myself. Oh! One more thing. The name's Sereda. I'm going to be in town for a little while longer before I head out to get my mark. Come find me if you change your mind about being a lone wolf." Sereda said with a smile as she left the tavern. She still had some money in her purse, so she was going to get ready to hunt down this Devil Stag like the animal he was. But first, she'd need to get some materials for herself.

The first thing Sereda wanted to do was make some of her mother's Spiral Edge bolts. Nothing short of a solid granite wall would protect anyone unlucky enough to be on the wrong end of one of these. Buying a few pounds of steel and wood to craft the shafts, Sereda was able to produce thirty Spiral Edge Bolts in a short amount of time. The second thing she did was buy some extra padding for her armor, in order to silence the noise from her chain mail as well as provide some cushioning against attacks. Than she started making some traps of her own. She had no doubt that in a fair fight, Sereda would only win using her cunning and cheap tactics. If a fair fight meant dying, than she wasn't going to take it. The next thing she did was start asking around about the Devil Stag. She wanted to know everything she could about him, where he's from, what his motives are. And with any luck, the Devil Stag might even hear about Sereda. Take him out of his hunting grounds and into hers.
