"Waaaah!"

Smitten Kitten was running as fasts as her character could, jumping across gaps and running on ledges, all to escape the Dissolutions on her tails. Her Sticky Runes were very helpful for this, but she could only use them so many times before they were put on cool-down and she didn't have a lot of skills with mobility. She had been following the truck with the two players in it but the sheer mass of Dissolutions chasing them forced Smitten Kitten to find her own way to chase them, which only served to get herself chased as well. She did moderately okay trying to run across the rooftops, but only if conditions were right, such as the caps being five-feet apart or there being an open window of some sort on the floor below she could land through. Sometimes she'd use her Explosive Runes to boost her jumps, but she learned that all it did was attract unwanted attention.

One such unwanted admirer was a large bird-like Dissolution. It kept swooping down at her but she was able to dodge it. But if more Dissolutions show up it'll be harder for her to focus on dodging the bird while also avoiding everyone else. But she had an idea. Smitten Kitten ran to a large roof area near the end of the block. She was effectivly trapped, with no way to go back back where she went. The Bird Dissolutions knew this, and so did she. Smitten Kitten created one more Sticky Rune and waited for the bird to come swooping down. When it did, instead of dodging she jumped up and grabbed the bird's lag. In a turn of events, she actually managed to pull the bird down just a little, enough for it to activate the stick run and get stuck. After that Smitten Kitten created a series of Explosion Runes and did big chucks of damage against the Bird Dissolution, but she didn't kill it. When it was low on health she used her Befriend skill on it and it became her ally.

Now with a flying creature Smitten Kitten had a way to avoid most of the Dissolutions. All she needed to worry about now was other flying Dissolutions, but she was more interested in tailing the truck. To her surprise she found it being driven across the roof tops. But down below, she could also see another familiar person, Corpse Collector. "Hey, I wonder what they're up to..." Smitten Kitten stayed in the skies and watched, waiting for the right moment to jump in.
I edited it a little bit. Since Lucius already posted, I don't really know how we'd incorporate any sort of conversation unless we do a collaboration and then I edit my post again, than insert Malakaus's arrival afterwords.
Should I edit my CS? I could just change them to the Synod or College of Whisper, or some other made up academy of magical arts.

Akiko listened to Lucius's speech but wasn't really convinced that he had their best intentions in mind. Barely an hour into lunch and already someone got stabbed and tempers are flaring. Akiko wanted nothing to do with this and when the opportunity presented itself, he left.

He didn't stay in the cafeteria and stead headed outside. It was a nice day outside, beutiful weather and just a strange sense of serene peace. Much more comfortable than cooped up in the cafeteria. There wasn't much to do out here, but he found that there was these cloud-like things around that he could move and shape. He figured he'll try to make something with the clouds.

Isa finished her meal and left the cafeteria as well. She was going to do a bit of reading up what exactly her classes entails so that she could properly study and prepare for them. Even if everything was just all about fighting, she might as well be able to do her best regardless of her thoughts on the classes themselves.
Noelle sat and waited for the help to arrive. Corrira had been very quiet this entire time, so Noelle spoke to him. "Teach me your destruction magic Corrira." The altmer looked at Noelle questioningly, but than simply agreed to do so. They'll begin once they return to the ship and after their work is done. He wanted to know what Noelle wanted to learn. "Ice based destruction magic. It'll be useful, and I'll need to knowledge if I'm to care for the garden." Corrira leaned closer and asked Noelle what exactly she planned on doing about the garden. Noelle shrugged her shoulders and just kept looking at the coast. "Like I said, that's not my concern right now. Even if we managed to somehow amass the money to buy the supplies we'd need to maintain the garden, it'll take months, years maybe, before any of the plants become bountiful. I can use some magic to accelerate the growth, but that would require specialized materials that I doubt we can obtain here. It's certainly a good long-term investment, but in the short term it's a money sink that could be better spent on actually resupplying the infirmary with medicine and equipment. The only reason I actually want the garden is so I can have a steady supply for my special poison, but the conditions for it are very specific. Until the time is right there's simply nothing I can do about it now but wait until the opportunity arises."

Noelle heard Serge call her over to sit with them. Letting out a light sign she decided to go sit near, but she didn't speak to them. Eventually Malakaus and the others arrived. "Get the skooma Corrira. I want to get out of here as soon as possible." Noelle stood by watching the others get to work and waiting for a boat to be ready to head back to shore.
Noelle had to consider Sarel's offer carefully. He was the next best bet to get her garden plot idea going, but he wanted two plots. Depenidng on how much space he can actually get for her, two plots might be too much. And she wasn't exactly excited to hear that he wanted to use his plot to create Herba, which she imagined is a recreational drug. She could, perhaps, figure out some way to make the Herba useful for her Alchemy, but she also figured that Sarel wasn't keen on sharing his Herba. "We already have enough skooma-addled fools trying to get their fix, I don't want to have to deal with treating more drug-induced poisons." Noelle sighed and relented however. "I'll have to see how much space you can make available first. I have very specific things I wish to grow, which require specific conditions. I don't know anything about this herba, like the conditions it needs to grow or how it may affect the other plants. Even if they grow separately from the others I can't promise you two plots if I don't know how much room I'll have for one plot."

Noelle looked away and remembered the lashing she took yesterday. Her body shivered as she turned away from Sarel. "And Sharee had made it abundantly clear to me that she'll have the final say in these matters. It's her ship, and I'm sure she won't appricate you and I working on it behind her back. If you can convince her to make space on the ship for the garden, than we can talk about what I'll need for the garden and where you can grow your herba. Until than, my only concern is getting the skooma onto the ship and finding the supplies I need for the Infirmary." Noelle walked away and took a seat at one of the tables looking out of the cove.

Akiko did just follow Lucius seeing that right now he was the only person who seemed to acknowledge him. He was a bit disappointed that "Life Skills" just took away their powers and weapons and not say, teach them life skills. Honestly, Akiko had no problems losing his Naginata. He didn't even bring it with him. Lucius than met up with Perry, another goddess who showed to be rather more social than Akiko. Mustering his will to not be shy and awkward, Akiko made his presence known. "Hi! Nice to meet you Perry."

Isa wasn't too bothered by the lost of her weapons or powers either. Her knowledge was all she needed to be a good administrator for the dead, with powers there merely to force matters if need be. She shouldn't even need them unless something goes horribly wrong. Raze asked her about the importance of weapons and Isa simply shrugged. "Weapons are just tools for war. Makes things much easier than relying on your bare-hands and grit. As for why a god would need one, it's symbolism. Weapons have, or at least should have, a deeper meaning behind than than simply their purpose on the battlefield. Take a scythe for example. Nowadays people don't think of scythes as a farming tool so much as a weapon used to reap souls. As such, it's a signature weapon for Death Gods and psychpomps, even if Scythes are impractical in actual fights. Of course, if you're not the figurative sort, than I suppose specific weapons wouldn't matter. Because no matter how you pretty it up or what philosophy you put behind them, weapons kill. You don't save lives or create things with a sword. You simply chose who dies, and at best you create corpses from the living with a weapon. At least some weapons can be used for more than just killing, but generally a weapon's job is to kill first. Having meaning behind it just happens to be a happy side-effect."

Isa went to the cafeteria and headed strait to the lunch line. She got herself a simple meal consisting of a loaf of bread and some tea. A lot of the other gods and goddesses were acting like spoiled children, and Isa wanted no part in stroking their egos just because no one was worshiping them. Instead she began to try to figure out how she can earn her weapons and powers back. She'd imagine that the school intends to throw them into dangerous situations, or at least make them do their jobs as gods.

Just when Kokuro thought she was about to get to the top, suddenly she lost her footing and fell on her butt. She cursed out loud and tried again, but thin time she couldn't feel the branches on the walls. IN fact, there were no branches, and instead solid walls replaced them. "Oh, what? What the hell is going on here?!" Kokoru still kept trying to scale the walls with a running jump, but she could only get two or three steps on the wall before losing her grip. After a few falls Kokuro rubbed her sore ass and just began to walk. "Arg, fine! So this damn place won't let me climb out of here. Just have to find a way out myself than. Let's see... Right hand on the wall, and just follow the wall until I find the exit. But I guess this damn place is going to change directions like it can change walls too... Dammit, there's got to be another way out. Maybe if I can stack some things..." Kokoru thought about how she was going to escape the maze as she began to wander through it.
"Don't mind if I do!" Meirin took a seat next to Ssarak as he pointed out this would be their first time outside the college together. She wondered what exactly he meant by that, or rather, why he bothered to bring it up. She had a sly smile that poked the imagination, but she otherwise thought nothing of it. Than he asked her about Djarkel, something she had more knowledge about.

"Well... I'm sure that anyone can tell you the basics about Djarkel. It's a land where Dark Magic is commonly practiced, such as Necromancy or Demonmancy. It would make sense for there being an influx of demon activity there. Djarkel itself is ruled by Barons, various lords or ladies who own parts of the land. They use their dark magic to expand their territories, and are often feuding with each other. I think there may be a high Baron or some such, though I'm sure that title is also hotly contested and fought over. At least they only use demons or the undead during their battles instead of sending living people to fight on their behalf. Not to say that you won't find your fair share of warriors and mercenaries in Djarkel. But if a Baron hires any living person for any job, it's likely for assassination, or other specialized talent. Djarkel itself is a depressing place, with very few refuges from it's constant state of war. But if there's only thing about Djarkel that's worth admiring, it's the character of the people there. People there are strong-willed and able to hold their own. While they might not always be united, individually each person has a source of strength that would allow them to over come any obstacles in their path. One anecdote that a native of Djarkel once told me: Nothing is fair, everything is equal". He never really explained to me what the meaning was, but I imagine that what he means is that, while one can do whatever they have to do in order to survive, it not as though you never have a chance, at least. There's always a small chance against all the odds, and that all you need to do is catch it."

Meirin thought about what else she could say. She knew a little bit of Hysteria from her travels there, but she never stayed in town longer than a day or two. Much could have changed since she had last visisted, but she mentioned what stood out to her.

"As for Hysteria itself, it's honestly a rather unassuming city. It's sort of a trade hub into Djarkel, hence why our caravan would be heading there. It has large stone walls surrounding the city, carved from gray stone from the mountains. But the plain stone only serves as an empty canvas for various culture to blend in. Hysteria is known for it's very colorful characters, that is to say, everyone over there is a bit mad. Not that they're angry, just... Strange. It's almost surreal. I haven't met anyone in Hysteria who had any strong feeling against outsiders, though I have seen a lot of freakish people there who I sometimes think might be insane. Oh, but don't think they're dangerous! Hysteria has it's own community of enthusiastic, if also a touch crazy, artisans and craftsmen. Their strange way of thinking gives travelers a good impression of the fairly bizarre mindset of Djarkel, but also serve an example that their dark and almost horrific visage does not make them evil or even all that bad. It's actually a bit charming how quirky and enthusiastic they can be despite how bleak their land and lives are."

Meirin looked down and crossed her fingers together. She certainly said a lot and she was starting to feel a bit self-conscience about it. In truth she didn't know much about Djarkel since she lived in the monastery most of her life, and she'd prefer if she could talk about that instead. Alas, they weren't heading towards the mountains so it wasn't really necessary. Trying to pull her thoughts away from home Meirin had a few questions of her own about the mission. "So... What do you think is causing the demon attacks? I mean, what do you think Lucilia wants us to find? I can't imagine that the demons have any particular reason or agenda to fulfill for attacking the caravans."
Not finding much else of use in the cave Noelle was about to leave. But before she did she remembered that Sarel wanted to talk to her about the garden project she wanted to put on the ship. While she was still curious how Sarel knew about it, now was a good chance to talk about it away from the captain and other prying ears. So She headed to where Sarel was and called out for him. "Sarel, if you don't mind me asking, what was it that you wanted to talk about with my garden project? I don't imagine that Sharee has... Approved of it after yesterday. But I'm guessing that you know something I don't."
