I made a new character. I'm hoping to add her to the team when we have a chance. I think right now might be too soon, and we already have a lot of characters anyways.
Appearance:

Parum is barely five feet tall and with her robes on, she's almost childlike. However hidden by her unflattering robes, Parum is definitely not childlike; she's a fully grown halfling woman, with a full chest and shapely hips. While she doesn't look strong, and she really isn't, Parum's small and light body grants her great agility and speed not often seen in most halflings. She typically wears clothing that won't restrict her movements, and even her signature robe is mostly for hiding her body; it does very little to impede her even during her more acrobatic movements, and she can tear it off with ease if it does get caught on something. She's often seen with a huge backpack that's at least three times her size, but despite that it's actually a bag of holding, albeit a flawed attempt at one. While it weighs about as much as a a backpack that size would weight (About twenty pounds), it can still hold a nearly infinite amount of space within and she won't feel a thing. It's bigger size also allows her to fit bigger things.

Name: Parum

Age: 27

Race: Halfling

Class: Rogue

Biography: Parum was once just an orphan left in the streets. As one may imagine, being orphaned in the streets left very little options for the halfling. She knew no family she had; no mother or father, brothers or sisters, uncles or aunts. She resorted to petty thievery, stealing only what she needed to survive. Food, a bit of drink, sometimes coins to buy a bed in the inn during the winter. But surviving by a hair wasn't something Parum enjoyed. She wanted stability in her life, but she only knew one way how.

As Parum grew older, her skills in thievery also grew. She became quite adapt at stealing that she could swipe a sword out of a sheath or coins from a hand. Of course she isn't without failure, but those mistakes only allowed her to hone her agility and speed. Being a little halfling, Parum was also no stranger to being targeted by thugs and miscreants herself. She learned how to fend for herself, even took up a rather exotic weapon to compensate her overall lack of fighting ability. But aside from that, Parum did learn more practical trade skills. Amassing her ill-gotten gains over the years, she eventually was able to buy herself an apprenticeship in a merchant's guild. Much to her surprise, many of her skills growing up were used much more often. While she learned the art of haggling and worked as a locksmith, her deft hands and sharp wit put her into a position where she essentially became a thief for the merchant's guild; stealing back ill-gotten gains from other thieves, companies, or whoever.

Parum spent a good bit of her life with the Merchant's Guild, and she doesn't regret a moment of it. Even now she continues to keep good relations with the guild as she strikes out as her own independent merchant, hoping to gather her wares in the deepest of dungeons for great riches.

Skills: Parum is a fast fighter and quick thinker. While she lacks the pure strength and toughness to brawl most opponents, she's agile and precise to dodge most attacks and hit the right spots. She's very keen with daggers and can stick them into weak points, even throwing them with deadly accuracy. When she's in a tough spot she would pull out her signature weapon: the Spiked Chain. In Parum's hands this unpredictable weapon can be used to trip, disarm, or simply slash her foes to ribbons before they could even get close to her.

Parum has keen senses and can often hear, smell, or see others before they can see her, even if they're trying to hide. She can also discern people's motives and practically smell when someone is lying around her. She's very acrobatic and relies on this to dodge danger. Parum can disarm many types of devices and traps, even magical ones, though only with the right set of tools. Lastly, Parum is also good at hiding. Even with her huge bag, you'd be surprised at the places Parum can hide in, even when there's nowhere to hide at. She's the type who can vanish in plain sight without the need of magic.
After Catarina finished setting up her campsight, she also got out of her armor, switching to more breathable silk and cloth. She would have wore her leather armor underneath all her heavy plate, but without magic she'd roast to death (And she was already pretty hot with her armor anyways). Without her armor making her look like a bulky onion, Catarina looked rather... Plain. A modest figure, though if she ever revealed her skin everyone would see that she's just as muscular than the orc, and much easier on the eyes. But that was hidden by her silken robes. And while she lacked any armor, she still took her bastard sword just out of habit.

She noticed Malkai and Alyssa talking so Catarina snuck on over. It sounded like Malkai wanted to see her bedroll, but that set off alarms in Catarina's head. On one hand it's not like Alyssa needed some knight protecting her honor. She's free to do whatever she likes, with whoever she likes... But Catarina wasn't exactly trustful of Malkai. Whatever his motives was Catarina didn't care as she walked over to the two. "I wouldn't mind seeing your bedroll, Alyssa. And if it's as big as you say it is, maybe we can see if it's a fit for two." Catarina said coyly. This was mostly to dissuade Malkai from making any advances on Alyssa.

When Alyssa defended her reasons for buying such an expensive bedroll, Catarina nodded. "She's right you know. Not everyone enjoys roughing it in our skivvies and memories of happier times. Sometimes you have to enjoy the simpler things, like waking up without a sore back or wet socks."
Eventually the group reached the temple. "Finally. I was getting sore." Catarina got off her camel and stretched out her legs. While she'd admit using the camel allowed her to get here much faster than on foot, she wasn't meant to ride horses all day long. Everyone looked ready to set up camp, though it was still rather early. Catarina was still worried about sandstorms, but fortunately she had just enough gear to make a crude shelter for herself. It also doubles as a tent. "I don't mind taking a watch first." As she said that, Catarina was taking out some of her camping gear and getting ready to set up camp right where she was at.
I like to think that Catarina is fairly innocent in the sense she never actually had sex, or much education on it. Most of what she knows came from other mercenaries, who aren't exactly professional when it comes to that sort of thing. She certainly couldn't imagine her first time being with a man considering all the things she's seen. She's just never really thought about being with other women, at least romantically or sexually. She's She said bit to chivalrous to think of it like that.
Catarina ' face grew grew bit red hearing Vivian and Alyssa's flirtation. Alyssa'sShe didn't want to admit she was a bit jealous so Catarina stayed in the back as the rear guard. She did feel some... Physical attraction towards Alyssa. Vivian was alright too. Catarina then patted her cheeks feeling even more flustered. "What am I thinking of... They're both girls. No way they'd feel the same." This was of course ignoring the fact that both Alyssa and Vivian seemed quote attached to each other.

Catarina was fairly quite as they continued onwards. Xavio asked Vivian about what brought jer to the surface. They way he said it made him sound like he's had a low opinion about drow, or perhaps it was just paranoia? Catarina isn't innocent of minor bigotry herself. The only reason she would tolerate Graug is because she is only here for the money. And as long as she gets that money Graug's loyalty is assured. It was a mercenary way of thinking, just like Catarina. Vivian still explained that it was due to, basically, treachery. Catarina had heard of the way drow scheme and backstab, but up until now she never actually believed it herself. She always figured it was just a sterotype.

Jarvis then made a crack about how humans are often worse then some like the drow, but Catarina couldn't say she disagreed. "There are horrible people in all races. Most you've met just happen to be human. Not that your wrong. Often back when I was a mercenary, most of my enemies were human... occasionally we'd fight orcs or wild elves, but the humans always promoted and did some of the worse crimes." Catarina shivered as she remembered the times she once worked for those people. Sure she never took part of the atrocities, but she did let them happen.

"But it was also usually humans who go out of their way to do good and fight against the evil humans. Heh. Makes it kinda hard to judge what humans are like, Co sidering they all so... Unique." After Catarina's small rant, she resumed to staying quite. However she also took out her crossbow and loaded it getting ready for the next ambush.
After killing one, most of the other orcs got wiped out by the rest of the party. Magic spells took them out before they could even get within Catarina's reach. "Well then. I guess that's over." Catarina put her sword back and went to get her camel. It had strayed away during the fight but fortunately wasn't hurt. With some difficulty, she managed to get on. It looked like the rest of the party was ready to move when the sorcerer mentioned another orcish camp nearby. Nearby being a mile or so off in the distance. Even on a camel Catarina was uncertain; there was no cover for them to take and it'd certainly take them some time to get there. Assuming that the tribe had no archers to weaken them as they got closer, attacking their camp head on wasn't a smart move. Even with all these mages on their side. "Let's not test our luck. I mean, I'm all for cleaning out bandits from the desert. But we have to get to the temple first. Maybe when we come back?" Catarina tugged her camel forward and followed the others back towards the desert temple.
Smirking at Alyssa's words, Catarina felt a bit better at their strange party. "Yeah, you're right. Still, I just hope they aren't all talk." After that the group traveled relatively quietly into the desert. It wasn't long before they lost sight of the city. If it weren't for the dusty roads and the occasional sign, it would be very easy to get lost in the desert. Catarina had to keep her breathing steady so she doesn't overheat herself in her heavy armor, occasionally opening her helmet to drink form her water skin. Eventually a figure was approaching them in the distance. Catarina was familiar with this tactic and had her weapons drawn. When she saw that it was an orc, Catarina knew what was going to happen and got off her camel right as the orcs got out.

As soon as one of the orcs brandished his axe, Catarina was already attacking him. "Fall!" Catarina shouted as she impaled her bastard sword through the chest of one of the orcs. In his dying breath he tried to bring his axe down on Catarina, but her shield deflected the blow. Kicking the dead orc off Catarina ran over to Alyssa and Vivian, making sure no orc got too close to them.
Meirin Kurenai

Meirin analyzed the knight. It was obvious that he was no normal man, though perhaps his armor enhances his ability. A heavy man like him shouldn't be so agile at least not as agile as Meirin. She wasn't going to underestimate this man so Meirin backed away and started a new weaving form. Fortunately she could do this one with her spear, though it was a bit awkward since the paich body made it heavy. She started by raising her hand high into the air as if grasping at the sky. Then she pulled her hand down slowly, her fingers curling into a fist right as it was brought to her face. Once it reached her face Meirin grasped her spear once again jumped to the side, spinning around and putting both her arms forward, holding the spear perfectly perpendicular to the ground. She spun around towards the opposite direction holding her spear near the end of the shaft and sweeping it close to the ground, but not quite hitting it. By the time she stopped she stood up, her hands raised higher than before, her spear pointing towards the sky. All the while it seemed like Meirin was focused more on her weaving but she was still watching the knight, making sure that he didn't catch her off guard. But Meirin was only half-way finished with her weaving and needed a few more seconds before she could pull off her magic attack.

Myrn Vaan'Atisha

As if her luck couldn't be any worse Tyrael showed up. Myrn was in no condition to fight him but she barely had enough strength to stand on her own. Her arm was in great pain and if she was by herself she'd be crying. But for now all she could do was breath heavily and try to stand up, barely holding onto her Dar'missan. Everyone was scared, but they couldn't leave the nagas behind. Myrn didn't know the nagas well herself and had no reason to care for them, but there was no way she was going to leave everyone else to Tyrael's "mercy". Unfortunately Myrn's body was too weak right now to even walk, forcing her to lean against her sword. "Master Tyrael please listen to your students. The naga aren't going to be a threat to anyone at the college, not right now and surely no to you!" As Myrn tried to find the strength to stand on her own she did remember something important. Tyrael was friends with another naga in the college, Mar. And while Myrn didn't know Mar at all, Myrn did know emotions and feelings. She knew that Tyrael was very close to Mar and her daughter. Myrn also knew that Mar valued her family and not just Lyn and Athalus. If Myrn knew anything about the naga it was that they trusted no one but their family. And these nagas wouldn't be here if they didn't know someone they trust. Putting two-and-two together Myrn figured that these nagas were family members of Mar.

"Please, think about Mar! She wouldn't want this, would she? Everyone says the nagas were killed off, but for her it was more than that. She thought she lost her entire family. But now they're back, you can't kill her family!" Myrn looked over towards the nagas but her sight was getting dizzy from her injuries. She didn't realize it, but she was making the wound on her shoulder even worse by moving around, causing her to bleed profusely. She also didn't notice that she was in the Inferno right now. Myrn looked over to the nagas and called them out. "It's true right? You're Mar's family? That's why you're here, to be with her, ask her for help, right?"
Catarina rode off to catch up with Malkai, not really paying attention to the events happening far in the back. It seemed very strange what was going on, but things got really ridiculous when Jarvis let the orc, of all things, join their party. She didn't say anything, but after fighting them for so long Catarina had a hard time trusting orcs. Even the ones she worked with in the past tend to care only about themselves, and would even flee from battle if they thought they were going to die. Orcs could be fearsome, sure, but more often than not they only watched out for themselves. Catarina wasn't going to trust the orc to watch her back unless she intended to stab it.

"What a bunch of weirdos...."
