He hosted the man into the truck and sat him in the back seat before climbing in himself, wincing as he put pressure on his right arm which if someone looked closely they would notice it was streaming with blood.

The screen begins to show pictures of a clean and nearly flawless hotel like complex full of people talking and enjoying the facility's luxuries such as pools, spas, and libraries. "In the Hawthorn facility meta-humans will find a safe haven where they can not only can live with out prejudice, but also help our facility's highly trained staff of medical professionals further understand the cause of this out break." The screen fades to black again and the silver H reappears. "The Hawthorn facility, the first step to a brighter tomorrow." The commercial ends and you return to you regularly schedule program.

So the basic idea would be that we, Meta-humans, would go to the Hawthorn facility, a name I'm open to change, in the hopes of acceptance or other reasons, but things start to seem a lot more cloak and dagger than they first appeared. So any takers?

So the basic idea would be that we, Meta-humans, would go to the Hawthorn facility, or Othrys as it is called by the head doctor James Hawthorn, in the hopes of acceptance or other reasons, but things soon start to become much more dark once we are in side. Such as the Meta-humans begin to be separated into three groups, level ones, twos and threes. Level twos and threes must wear collars that serve to dampen their abilities. Then there is the subbasement where none of us are aloud and is guarded twenty-four seven. There are also the guards who walk the facility, being armed with tasers, tranquilizer guns, and odd nightsticks called PPDs, or portable power displacers.

1. Basic no godmoding, lets keep it on fair ground everybody
2. Another basic one, keep it PG 13 in the IC, over that take it to PMs okay guys
3. No arguing in the OOC, this should be fun guys, but as for the IC there should be a fight or two
4. If you are going to be gone for a few days shoot me a heads up, I don't mind

Just a bit more information about the level ratings

Level one Meta-humans: These are the poster children of the Hawthorn facility, quite literally seeing as they are used in the company's commercials. They are considered either stable enough or too weak to pose a threat to the guards or staff members so they are given more freedom than other Meta-humans.

Level two Meta-humans: These Metas are the middle children of the facility. They are consider to dangerous to have the extensive freedom that is offered to the level ones, but too weak or controlled to be deemed a major threat. They are forced to wear PDC, or power displacement collars. They have a strict curfew of eight PM and have very restricted contact out side the facility.

Level three Meta-humans: These Metas are the reason for the wide spread fear of their kind. They have been deemed to dangerous, be it for acts of violence on their part or their powers being considered to powerful. They have to wear PDCs and have almost zero freedom, having only a four hour time of "free time" for them to walk the facility. They are kept in rooms, almost cells, two levels above above the subbasement.

Appearance: Just under six feet tall with dirty, matted brown hair and green eyes that give off a shine like an animals' in the night. Has a mixed Caucasian-Hispanic background and resembles the later in complexion. He's scarred up all over, and many of the scars appear very old.

Personality: Some part of his personality has always been stuck at a childlike level. In some ways he is capable of acting as an adult, but in other ways he has never really matured and this keeps him from surviving in the real world. He's a folksy soul, playful and laid back. Ardal has an ear for music and could be a talented musician if he felt motivated to try. However, he has extremely low self-esteem and has never strived to accomplish much with his life.

Power: The power of control over all serpents, a snake charmer. He also has the ability to shapeshift himself into a Yellow-Bellied Sea Snake.

Level rating: 2 (I think anyways?)

Brief Bio: Not much currently known (details will be spilled out during the RP), but he was taken off the streets by the Hawthorn Facility after a local community complained of a loitering homeless man who seemed to gradually infest the areas he stayed in with various endemic snake species.

Personality: Ash is carefree and lives life to the full. She is loving, sweet and kind and can be shy [although not often]. Because of her losses, she cherishes her friendships and is loyal. She daydreams a lot and loves being around cats.
Power: Empathy - The ability to sense the emotions that a person is feeling

Brief Bio: Warning! Some of this is SUPER depressing! Ashlyn grew up with a poor family (Her younger sister May, her mother and her father), who were only just coping because of her father's drug addiction. But, when they couldn't pay the rent any longer, they had to live on the streets. Because May was only 5, she died of malnutrition when Ash was 9. Her father son passed away from consuming too many drugs and alcohol. After these traumatic events, Ashlyn and her mother coped for another year until her mother committed suicide. She lived on the streets for a few more years, behind a burnt-down building. She finally picked herself up and got on with life.

Name: Christopher Cooper

Appearance:
Personality: Incredibly calm for a high L3, but something is always flickering in his eyes. Very, very charming, but something about his warm smile never really seems true.
Power: An incredibly powerful pyrokinetic.
Level rating: Very strong L3. His collar completely cuts off his abilities, and he has a remote activated tranquilizing device implanted next to his heart.
Brief Bio: Christopher had a relatively normal life until he accidentally got his girlfriend pregnant in high school, gaining the nickname "Burnout" in the process. He did what seemed to be the right thing and married her, promising to take care of her and her unborn daughter Rose, even though it forced him to drop out and start work as a fry cook at a local fast food restaurant. He worked as hard as he could, taking night classes at a local community college after reaching the post of manager nearly 17 years later, getting his degree and applying for a job soon after. When he lost the position to a rich guy from uptown, who got it because of his father's connections. He lashed out, his powers manifesting and causing a large enough explosion to destroy a city block, including a school nearby.

He evaded capture for almost a year, before he finally surrendered to the police. His final kill count? 2312.

And then the Hawthorn initiative was put in place, in great part due to Christopher "Burnout" Cooper.

Personality: Damien is extremely temperamental. One day he can be really kind, loyal and thoughtful. He can be caring and protective. The next, he can be cold and seem almost emotionless. He will speak no words and, if he does it sounds forbidding and lacking feelings. Another day, he might be malicious and revengeful, as if he is evil. He can get angry easily and is short-tempered, and may even thrive on the thought of hurting someone.

Personality: He is very quick to get angry, and has a somewhat tough time making friends if they make him mad, even once.

Brief Bio: He used to be somewhat normal, though when his dad died, he went on a killing spree. Eventually, someone managed to stop him, taking him to the Hawthorn Facility.

Appearance
To say Fester isn't much of a looker would be a understatement, hell one could barely say he looks human. He has sickly grey skin that is covered in scars that still seem to be fresh, boils, sores, stitches and staples. He has long, straw like black hair that grows in patches on top of his head. His eyes are a sickening yellow, much like his pointed and jagged teeth. He is covered in piercings, which anyone unlucky enough to have seen him nude can vouch for. He normally wears tight leather clothes, namely to show off his near skeleton thin like body, and a pair of old combat boots.

Personality
Fester is sarcastic, insensitive, distant from people and preferring the company of machines any day of the year. He doesn't know how to act around people so he just normally comes off as an ass.

Power
Pestilence Control: Just like his looks Fester's powers are rotten. He has the ability to cause anything to wither, rot, decay and eventually disintegrate. His blood is also flowing with dieses, he can change which one at will, that he can spread to others. He also seems to have a mental control over vermin and pests.

Brief Bio
Fester's origin isn't one of glory or riches. He was the result of a one night stand a female engineer by the name of Rose Silverman had a sum of twenty two years ago. The second he was born it was known that he was different, namely by the fact the young boy looked like a corpse, but his mother loved him all the same. She taught him everything she knew, like taking something apart to the point it couldn't be recognized or fixing something so that it worked better than before it broke. Things only started to get difficult when he was ten and was petting his neighbors dog and the poor thing dropped dead. That was just before Fester start to get sick all the time, one week it was a cold the next pneumonia. This patterned continued, Fester getting sick and neighbors' pets dying, for a few years before Fester realized he was causing it. So for the safety of his mother he ran away and started to live on the streets... well under the streets in the sewers any ways. He lived this way, stealing food and whatever else he needed, for a good few years before he ended up killing a gang member who was harassing a local mechanic. That was when the Hawthorn facility got wind of him and brought him in.

Personality: Kind, loyal, and smart are the first words that jump to people's minds when people ask them about John. He's always there when you need him, and seems to always be offering up helpful ideas.
Power: Light Manipulation. John can use visible light to his advantage. This includes using it as a weapon, or absorbing it and storing it for later use, kind of like a solar panel.
Level rating: Three.
Brief Bio: John was the golden boy before this all happened. He got straight A's, had the perfect 10 girlfriend and was about to go into his senior year. Until that night. He was walking with his girlfriend down a street. He'd felt great the entire day. Like he was 3 years old again and had no interest in sleep. It was dark, save for the street lamps that lit up the sidewalk every few feet. And then he stepped out. Out of the shadows, gun pointed and bang. John's girlfriend flew back with the impact of the bullet. John lost it. The energy that he had felt all day was released in a blinding flash of light. And the killer was gone. Everything that had been in front of him was blackened and crumbling. John's girlfriend died in his arms and the media blamed him. He was tried for his girlfriend's murder by meta hating prosecutors and the judge sentenced him to the Hawthorn Facility.

Appearance:
Personality: Nice, mostly. Certain conditions can make her flip out, but those will have to be found.
Power: Rose has the completely natural ability to synchronize herself with one other meta-human nearby, gaining a slight variant of their powers. A pyrokinetic would allow her to control heat, superstrength would grant her enhanced endurance. She can only copy one individual at a time, but will keep that variant until she syncs with another. At the beginning, she's synced with the power to fly, producing limited aerokinesis.

Prototype Syncing (my bank of ideas for powers based on copying other player's characters)
Dylan: Telekinetic power focused through her muscles grant superstrength.
Fester: Clerical Purge. Fester's control over diseases and vermin manifests as the ability to heal and purge illnesses and poisons from her and others nearby.
John: Photosynthesis. All light and light based attacks aimed at her are changed into energy that increases her endurance and strength.
Roxy: Rose can become completely undetectable, to any sense. Only gamma ray pickups can find her, since the shadow cloak can't absorb that high of an energy frequency.
Steven: The world becomes like glass, allowing her to see through anything.
Vanity: Control over magnetism and a natural magnetic field that she can manipulate.
Vivian: Intangibility and a slight increase in speed.

Level rating: Due to her rather… Odd ability, her own level is nearly impossible to determine. The mutant she copied was level 2 (and his are the only powers she can use), but the power collar she wears completely blocks her own ability. After all, a superhuman wild card in the middle of a facility like Hawthorne is not desirable.
Brief Bio: One of the few second generation metas, (her father was struck with the mutation as well) Rose is fully aware of how difficult being super can be.

When you're the daughter of Christopher "Burnout" Cooper, you get well acquainted with that fact.
Other: Orthys. Also, what her father did will be revealed as time goes on.

Roxy

Brief Bio:
All Steven wanted was a normal life. To be ignored just like everyone else was. To fit in. But alas, it was never meant to be. A few days after his, eighteenth birthday, when he was walking down the street, a few college students egged him, who were merely just a bit hyper after their graduation. All he was going to do was lift his hand and display his middle finger, but what was supposed to be merely a derogatory gesture somehow turned lethal… The glass windows on the car suddenly shattered, and glass shards embedded into the poor passengers, killing them instantly and giving the car one hell of an interior paint job. Cameras pointed to the only suspect- Steven Mirov. He ran for two years, and became tired of the secluded life. He eventually gave himself up, and was sent to Hawthorn.

Appearance: She's average in height and has a toned, lean body. Her hair is dark, thin, and cut short--its length stops just short of her chin. Her eyes are a golden brown, and shine disturbingly bright. She also has a tattoo of a dragon that runs up the top of her arm and extends to her back.

Personality: V comes off as pretty laid back. She can be charming enough when she wants to be, but she typically isn't. She can be pretty arrogant as well, and will act like she's better than you. When talking one-on-one, she'll more than likely invade your personal space--she knows it makes people uncomfortable.

Power: Teleportation, though it's limited by her sight: if she can't see the location with the naked eye, she can't teleport there.

Level rating: Three

Brief Bio: She discovered she rather enjoyed killing people at a young age when, at lucky thirteen, she murdered the neighbor's son when he he didn't return the crush she had on him. She ran away from home after that, and her killing spree continued--made easy by her powers. Eventually, another meta human was able to out maneuver her, and she was subdued, and brought to the Hawthorn facility.

Other: She was born in England, so she has a British accent. Her father had a heavy Cockney accent, and when she gets angry, that'll come out. Oh, and Othrys.
