So the basic plot for this RP at the moment is that we will be playing a group of people from various backgrounds who are brought together by the Tevinter Magister, Lady Vasilia Sanguina, for the purpose of tracking down and retrieving an artifact. They are also instructed to keep their task a secret from others, for reasons that have yet to be revealed to the group.

So lets move on to the fun part, yes folks I mean *drum roll* The rules!

The Rules:
1. A simple one No godmodding, auto hitting, infinite blocks/dodges, or controlling other people's characters without permission
2. I am the Gm and have final say but I am more than open and happy to hear whatever ideas you guys have
3. Regarding to NPCs if you want to introduce one ask me first, and if you plan on killing one ask me first
4. If you read through all the rules put the word Andraste somewhere in your CS
5. There will be fighting in the IC I know that already, but lets keep the good vibes in the OOC. Any disagreements should be brought to me or taken to the PMs
6. Keep OOC posting out of the IC
7. The spot of Co-Gm is currently open
8. Keep it PG-13 here guys. That means no all out blood baths or "mature" romance in the IC, take it to the PM guys

Now when I say specialization I mean the one branch your character mains in. Such as if you are a mage you can be a Elementalist or if you are a rouge you can be a duelist. This means these are the skills you mainly have, you can dabble in other fields but you won't be able to master more than one. This may change over the course of the RP, allowing characters to grow in strength and develop in interesting ways.

Equipment: He has a set of iron armor that he decorated himself with various blue and white lines of paint that serve no real purpose. Just atheistic look also, he never wears the helmet. As well as the long blue sash that almost covers the entire side of his right leg.
He has his shield that is decorated with the same colors as well and his long sword. He also carries an assortment of potions mainly for healing purposes. He also keeps random things that help remind him of home and other memories in his various pouches and what not.

Personality: Being of guardian nature Arturus has this natural instinct to protect. When he first decided to go into training and become the soldier he is now he always had in mind the idea to protect the ones that could not protect themselves. He is generally easy going and it is easy to make him laugh. Even though he isn't that old he also always has a story to tell. That's another thing. Even though he serves to protect the man just can't seem to keep quiet. Granted if he is told to be quiet several times it will finally register in his mind to be quiet but other than that he loves to talk. He finds conversation helps ease the mind and body, except when on the battlefield. When he is in battle he seems to switch to a completely different person. A person who mainly keeps eyes on his allies and strives to see them make it through the fight.
If one of his allies is ever injured during a fight with him he will blame himself relentlessly for it, saying that it was his fault. Even if the wound is so much as just a tiny scratch.

Origin: Born and raised in Rivain Arturus grew up with three brothers all older than he. The brothers were all just like he is now, all wanting to protect, guess you could say that was where he developed his nature to protect. His family was also a very militaristic family and his father continued to tell him that he was going to be trained to become a soldier when he was old enough. When he was young he couldn't wait. But as he got older his eagerness seemed to die down and he was getting worried about it, as most new guys are. But he was able to breeze through the training easily and became a soldier to be called upon whenever needed. He didn't earn a name in the military as he often was never chosen to go on missions or campaigns that often. He did go on one or two. But after his second campaign the man returned home to decide that a life in the military was not what he really wanted.
So he said his goodbyes and took himself elsewhere. During this time of his life he truly learned about how the world really was. See Arturus took up the life of a monster hunter so to speak. He did this with a small group that he became very close with.
But after a year or two of doing that the group dissolved...because their leader had to..settle down or something. Equally bummed they all went their separate ways and Arturus decided to lay off of the fighting for a bit.

After a year or so of staying away from the battles he caught wind of an expedition..so to speak. Something big. Not that he would know anything about it but the man who sought him out told him he could use a man like him. At first he thought he accidentally got his name out there, but the truth was this guy, or elf, that hired him was just looking for some muscle.
The journey took them to a vast sandy area that had its ups and downs. The journey to bring some woman back to her old home and the group had its fair share of battles and to be honest Arturus didn't really care for the group that much...outside of fighting that is. It was during the fighting that he realized that he was not done fighting. He still had a fire, a passion, to fight and protect others. So when the journey ended and he returned to roam he continued to keep his eyes and ears open, offering his hand as a fighter.

Harl has the typical Elvhen build, shorter than most humans and being rather thin. He has the large eyes all Elvhen have, his being emerald green in color. His dark oak brown hair is long and messy, it hanging down the back of his neck. Harl normally wears a hooded deep red robe with a few plates of ironbark armor on his arms, a dark green scarf tied around his waist, a satchel, a dark brown tunic under his robe, a pair of black breeches with bare feet. His left ear is pierced with a earring made from a piece of a halla horn. His vallaslin is dedicated to Fen'Harel, a pantheon few Dalish choose to honor.

Personality
Harl has a very calm and laid back demeanor, especially for that of a Dalish. He is rather sarcastic in nature, making jokes in attempts to break tension or silence. Unlike most of his kinsmen Harl has no real trouble with humans, though he isn't above calling them Shemlen like the others do. That is not to say he would have a problem cutting one down if one should cross him the wrong way. He has a strong respect for nature like almost all Dalish and takes the Vir Tanadahl, or Way of three trees, to heart. But unlike all his kind he also shows great respect for the Dread Wolf Fen'Harel, believing the god's cunning is something all should strive to have.

Origin
Harl was born the son of Sa'elgar, the Keeper of his clan, putting the elf into the spot light almost instantly. His magical powers were sensed from a early age making him the prim candidate to be the First to his own mother, the First is the apprentice and future replacement to a clan's Keeper. He was rigorously taught the old ways of his kind so that he could one day teach it to others. His life was rather routine until one day when he was separated from his clan and was attacked by a group of bandits, he would of been killed if he hadn't been saved by a large wolf that attacked and slaughtered the bandits. Once the last would be attacker laid dead the wolf turned to Harl and changed into a old woman. Harl knew from the clan's stories that this woman was Asha'bellanar, the woman of many years, and he quickly paid his respects. The woman merely laughed and told the boy to rise. The two then proceeded to talk and walk the forest for hours, well Harl mostly spoke as Asha'bellanar asked the boy to speak of his life. But the old woman eventually left and Harl was able to find his way back to his clan, but his out look on life had been completely changed.

Since his encounter with Asha'bellanar Harl found himself seeing things differently. Such as he now saw the cunning of Fen'Harel as something that needed to be praised more, even having his vallaslin be in honor to the Dread Wolf. He also developed a rather sarcastic and joking behavior, often belittling the other elves his age. But what was a even bigger change in the young elvhen was his new found pursuit of the art of mastering his own form in the old art of shapeshifting. He spent years training his ability, running with the creatures of the forest to help himself further understand them. But it all paid off as he started to unlock the secrets of the magic. But his life came to a screeching halt when a raid was held on his clan and his mother was taken. Harl was devastated but it set him on a path to find what happened to her. After months of searching he found out that the raiders were in fact Tevinter slavers who sold his mother. Harl's search has lead him to the Tevinter Magister Vasilia Sanguina who has agreed to give him the location of his mother and the name of who purchased her in exchange for his service of joining a group that would track down an artifact for her.

Being destined to be his clan's Keeper Harl is a expert speaker and story teller. He is also a natural singer which allows him to pose as a bard when in human cities.

Jaitheia-Kiwani

Name/Aliases: Jaitheia, she has no aliases, though people do tend to give her names based on her appearance.
Race: Qunari (though she is considered a vashoth by other Qunari.)

Appearance: Seeing that Jaitheia is a Qunari, she is about 6'6" tall, with skin that is bronze in color, silver color eyes(yet her left one is a milky white, and is blind in that eye considering that she had it since birth.), has white hair that stops at the small of her back, while her ears are slightly pointed. Along her left side of her face and arm, she has four scars going across her face and down her shoulder by unexpected attack of a wild animal. Jaitheia has a single set of horns that people describes as being a half a arms length long. While traveling around, she wears simple leather armour that leaves her arms bare.
Class: Mage(A saarebas by her own people. And is considered an apostate by the templars)
Specialization: Force mage

*She has a simple looking staff that is made out of silverite, that she also had enchanted to increase fire, cold, and electricity damage.

*A traveling pack, which she keeps a pair of barely use leather boots, which she does not like to wear, in along with her potions and poultices.

Personality: Jaitheia is not your average Qunari, that she is quite easy going when she manages to have conversation with someone, and she would do things that others like her wouldn't do. She loves to drink almost as much as a dwarf does, if not more at times, and is more of a talkative and a laughing drunk more than a violent or a depressed one. Being an apostate, she has to be careful with who sees her use her magic unless she wants templars after her again. The one thing that at times confuses her is how could someone blindly follow someone like the Maker or Andraste, but won't force the subject unless the subject keeps being brought up. Which this could be that she doesn't really believe anything that deals with religion.
Origin: Jaitheia was found by a middle age man just outside of his farm. His wife was shocked that her husband brought back a baby girl instead of some of their crops. She decided that they would raise her if one of her people was looking for her. A couple of months after her seventh birthday, she was helping her adopted father harvesting some wheat when she accidentally froze a small chunk of the crops. Worried that the templars would find her, he had a friend, who was an apostate, teach her how to control her magic, and year later found that she is a natural in force magic. After nine years of training Jaitheia began traveling around Thedas and taking odd jobs in order to keep one step ahead of the Chantry's templars and to make sure she will have the gold to get some items she would need. Minus some close calls Jaitheia managed to keep herself from having to go to the Circle of Magi and being watched like a criminal for the rest of her days.
Other: Her silverite staff was a gift from her adoptive mother, which was once belonged to her mother. She knows some elemental magic, but not a lot.

Karine Madeleine-Ryonara

Equipment: Karine wears her Chevalier armor made of the highest quality steel, but retains both her Morning Star and Shield from her time as a Templar, both which have been enchanted to be very effective against mages. She also carries a Flamberg Zweihänder, which while functional in general purpose combat, she usually reserves for duels or one-on-one combat. May occasionally carry bows and arrows depending on the situation, but more often than not she goes without. She carries a few salves, poultices, and droughts for herself or others as well. Lastly, Karine is quite wealthy, and would often have a coin purse with much gold inside of it. To prevent pickpockets from stealing it, she usually has it inside of her armor.
Personality: Karine is a fight-happy blood knight. She is chivalrous in her own way generally tries not to use her status to sway anything; she wants to prove that she is worthy of her gifts and titles through her skills and not her birthright. And hates others who would try to use their family name to get their way. She selfish and often does whatever she wants, regardless of the rules, but she has her standards. She likes to be around people and trying to talk and understand them, if only so that way it's more personal when she will inevitably challenge them to a fight. Her entire life seems to revolve around combat, and she loves every minute of it.
Origin: Karine was born with a silver spoon. Her father was a Templar in Orlais while her mother was a noble woman, who's family was well connected to the Chantry. Karine's father was a well respected Templar who himself was well liked by his superiors and even a few mages respected his reasonable authority. Karine took up much after her father, much to her mother's displeasure, but when she was pregnant and gave birth to a son, she was much more lenient to her daughter's activities.

Her father was thrilled to have his daughter to become a Templar. He personally felt that the current management was, at best, dutiful, but more often than not blinded by principles and laws rather than upholding the ideals they were made for. He personally trained Karine himself to ensure that she did not have to go through with augmenting her powers with Lyrium, like he did. This actually made her a much more skilled Templar than usual, as without the additional benefits of Lyrium, she had to become much more skilled in battle. But despite being trained by her own father, Karine did not exactly inherit his ideals.

As a young girl, Karine was always a rather commanding child. She would order around others younger and older than her, stronger too, but she never backed down, never showed fear. Sure she may have been beaten a few times, but she had the determination to keep on going. More importantly, she also liked getting into those fights as a child as well. She relished in the blood-rush of violence and combat. She saw her father not so much as a heroic savior against those who would abuse magic so much as a warrior who gets to fight powerful things, like mages and demons. She cared little of the Chantry so much as the chance to fight against powerful enemies and coming out on top. Even as she trained to become a Templar, these ideals remained.

Eventually Karine finished her training and joined the Templar Order... For a short while. She was loyal enough to the Chantry and hunted down her own share of mages, some of whom posed no challenge at all, but she did get to fight against a few Blood Mages and the demons they summoned, which she considers the best moments as her life as a Templar. But for the most part, watching over the mages in the Circle was boring; only one or two would try to run every year or so, and very few even turn to blood magic before she crushes their heads with her morning star. It was boring. Her father told her that it was her duty to protect and serve the Chantry and it's believers, but Karine cared little for it. She wanted to fight, to defeat powerful enemies and flee the blood flowing through her body and out her wounds. That's when she remembered her mother.

On Karine mother's side, she had many ancestors who were "Chevaliers", noble and skilled knights of Orlais. More importantly, they were often sent out to battle on behalf of the Empress, and they get to duel each other for honor and entertainment. This sounded much more appealing than waiting around for a mage to try to run away from the Circle, so Karine had her father and mother pull some strings to allow her to undergo Chevalier Training. Unlike her Templar training, which her father oversaw, her training as a Chevalier was much more brutal and unforgiving. And she loved ever minute of it. When she eventually became a Chevalier, she was one of the best. The only reason she could not take a higher authority was simply because she cared little of the responsibilities and was more interested in challenging others to duels, those who did not believe that she worthy of the title of Chevalier or Templar.

Even now Karine has a bit of a reputation in Orlais, more so in her home city of Val Royeaux. She has the reputation of being one of the more skilled Chevaliers as well as being a member of the Templar Order, but gossip would also tell you that she has a short temper and would demand duels from you simply for being arrogant, boastful, or generally an annoyance to her. She is respected for her skill but hated for her personality, as many would think that she would fit better in the lands of Ferelden than the courts of Orlais. Karine would actually agree to this sediment, and wishes to one day fight the strongest warriors from those lands. Currently left her home of Orlais to search for new challenges, which has taken her to the Tevintar Imperium.
Other: Despite being a Templar, she never really had much faith in the Chantry, though if made to pick a side, she'd still side with them. If only because mages offer a better challenge than Templars. Personally she doesn't have much interest in the mage-hate; so long as none in particular bother her, she has no reason to hate them. Generally she does not trust demons or fade spirits and has a "Kill-on-sight" mentality with them, more so if she discovers she's been manipulated by them in some way. She has a pearl stallion with a golden mane. It has steel armor, and upon it's head was a horn as sharp as a sword. His name is Benedictus.

Orin-Yog Sothoth

Equipment: He wears leather padding for light armor so it doesn't hinder his speed and his cloak is pretty good at protecting him from the rain and cold. For weapons he duel wields two short swords, and finally has a dagger and a longbow along with a few dozen arrows.
Personality: Because he has spent most of his life in a small settlement in a forest, Orin does not particularly like the company of city dwelling people. He is a bot on the wild side and is very independent, he prefers to not have to take orders from others. He has deep respect for nature and the animals that live in the environment of nature . Orin despises people who cut down trees in excessive amounts and he hates people who hunt simply for sport and don't pay their respects to the hunted animal. He has a close bond with his animal companion the bear Borix.
Origin: Orin was born in a small woodland village that wasn't very connected to the outside world and most of its citizens didn't feel the need to. Orin was different in the sense that he liked the thrill of adventures and exploring the wide world. His childhood was spent mostly learning how to hunt and honing in his skills with the bow. When he was 18 he left his village and became a Ranger. Not too long after that, he ran into his future animal companion Borix the brown bear. The animal had caught in a gang of poachers' trap and angered by the act, Orin freed the bear and the two of them took vengeance on the poachers. After that, him and the bear became good friends and went on many adventures. Now he has been called by evinter Magister, Lady Vasilia Sanguina to help retrieve an artifact of magical power, and Orin hopes that there is a reward in it for completing the task.
Other: he hates vegetables and loves meat. Borix is very intelligent for a bear and is incredibly brave and will follow Orin basically anywhere.

The Grey Warden-Lucius Cypher

Equipment: The Grey Warden wears Heavy Steel Warden Armor with a winged helmet. And while The Grey Warden does have two Iron Daggers (Like in the image but a bit shorter) he usually fights with a Steel Dwarven Axe on his main hand and has a Crossbow for range encounters. The Grey Warden also carries various salves and poultices, but he carries more components poisons and traps. He often has a large supply of explosive grenades hidden on his person at all times. He also carries a phylactery of his own blood, which he could pour onto his blade or arrows to poison them with the taint that his own body has been infected with; highly effective against most creature aside from demons, golems, and ironically enough Darkspawn.
Personality: The Grey Warden is a fellow somber and quiet fellow. Says years in the Deep Roads on his calling has made his conversation skills duller than a warhammer, and not quite as useful for slaying Darkspawn. Has a sense of humor if he can muster it, but otherwise he seems only to care about their next opponent. Doesn't have much opinions about anything, less so if he knows nothing about it, which is a lot of things. He reads when he can, and can read both human and dwarven books with ease. Even some elvish, though he hasn't encountered enough elvish text to gauge just how good he is at reading the language. Likes to help and learn but doesn't like to reveal anything about himself, like he's trying to stay mysterious. He does seem to be rather fight-happy though; if there's blood to shed he'll be there to draw first blood, be it the enemy or his own. In battle it roars and goes into a rage like a dwarven berserker, just attacking the enemy with cunning brutality. Also a compulsive liar, partly due to his lack of social interaction in the past few years, partly out of paranoia of telling someone something that they shouldn't know, but mostly because he enjoys messing with people. Which makes telling the truth all the more shocking, as unbelievable as they may be.
Origin: The Grey Warden doesn't remember much of his past, and what he does remember he doesn't share. All he'll tell you is his campaign in the Deep Roads during his calling. He never fought alongside the dwarves, mostly because they were concerned with defending, while he wanted to attack. He did meet with the Legion of the Dead every now and than, but their meetings were sparse, lasting only long enough to kill all the Darkspawn in the area and separating shortly after. Claims to have gotten very close to the Archdemon, but whenever he finally managed to rig up a trap to slay it, it moves away or the other Darkspawn discover him. Why he left the deep roads now, and what he does topside, he doesn't say. Only that he's still on his mission, and it has brought him back to the surface.
Other: The Grey Warden has largely forgotten everything of his past that doesn't involve his actions in the Deep Roads, even his name. He merely knows what his mission is and finds that finishing it is the only thing that really matters. Always seen in his armor and doesn't seem to take it off except for repairs, and prefers to be alone when he has to do that. Claims it's because the taint in his body has made boils on his skin that ooze the taint, and he doesn't want to infect anyone when it's not in the protect steel shell of his armor. Has a lisp and is rather detached from current events. Interestingly enough, he does have extensive knowledge on the old Dwarven Thaigs and their treasures, though he has not acted on them due to the heavy Darkspawn activity in those thaigs, and the simple fact that they don't really interest him beyond being trivia.
