There will be some aspects that draw from it, but it will be mostly serious. I'll probably make jabs at the Tau player about the Grotesques the Dark Eldar brought to fight for them as well as make jabs the the regular Eldar about how he/she needs to live a little and experience the "dark side". But any combat will be all serious,I play survivalists, and when something or someone threatens my survival I'll work together with my team to get the job done. If anything the more comedic side would come out during the interaction with my characters distant cousin. Because Dark Eldar are still Eldar in the end even with their differences and why bother living if you can't poke fun at family now and then. TTS was actually quite informative about the 40K universe when I first started learning about it, despite being an AU at the same time.
Blood-Flu prequel RP

Introduction--- The Chicago Metropolitan area has been inundated with a number of cases of an unknown virus which appears to be altering many of those who survive. And those that don't are much more dangerous. Quarantine was quickly imposed and a wall is being erected to keep the infection in. For reasons unknown, nuclear cleansing requests for the area have been denied. Already, the few survivors are banding together and forming fighting groups, the foundation of a post apocalyptic civilisation. It has been 98 days since quarantine was imposed. You are one of the lucky, or unlucky depending on how you want to look at it, survivors.

Goal: The primary objective is clearly to survive. Beyond that what are your goals? Do you wish to establish yourself as the QZ's best hunter? Or perhaps you wish to build a village and return to some sense of normalcy? Or perhaps you simply want to be left alone? Make your mark on this fledgling world.

This is intended to be a survival RP. The blood-flu is a mutagenic virus, which turns the afflicted into vampires. There are four stages of the virus, during which it may be successfully fought off by the hosts immune system, and then there is the post-Mortis stage, where the undead host thirsts without ever being satiated, enhanced strength and endurance making them a threat to normal humans, but not as great a threat to the survivors of Blood-Flu. The vampires that are able to get control of their thirst are the greatest threat to the undead, with enhanced strength, endurance, and other enhancements to combat the menace. Looking for between four and ten players, and more information about the blood flu itself will be released later.
I'm curious, in this can one only become a Lycan through birth, or is the mixing of Lycan blood with a regular human another way (think underworld series). Is the transformation at will or is it tied to the phases of the moon? I think I understand what you said above but if you could answer these questions, I'd have a better idea of what I'm playing as.
The Tau and "regular" Eldar players are going to be in for a treat. If you all haven't already seen it, go to YouTube and look up "if the emperor had text to speech translator." They have an episode for each xenos race, and it is glorious. I may or may not draw inspiration for my character from their description of the Dark Eldar.

Like any good Pagan, I prefer my mead as the chosen poison. It's better than whiskey or beer in my opinion, and good for any occasion.
