My vote goes to: By Which the Stars are Hung.

It is beautifully and skillfully written, the words just suck you in and won't let you go. I love how the picture got painted with words and how the bittersweet journey on which the Kalleth took us came to an end. Thank you for this magnificent story.

Alaska Tales: Thank you for taking me on journey through Alaska and to the Northern Lights. I enjoyed the travel very much ^_^ Hope the dogs had their beauty sleep for the journey back.

God is Great: Thank you for taking me to Syria and live with Faariq through his fear, his sadness, his sorrow under the vast night sky. It is a compelling story and masterfully written.
My vote goes to Starry Eyed, I really love the colour of the background and how it flows.
I love the way you worked with light and shade in the face.

Those eyes are amazing, mesemerzing.

honourable mention to planet juggling, awesome work. The clown looks absolutly great and I love how you made the clown juggle the planets, which are also very neatly drawn.
It was impressive to watch Rapier take care of so many Spearow at the same time. Gira did her best to make sure the other pokemon could do as much damage as possible.
Sarah was familiar in the region but not that familiar that she knew every cave. She did know a rock shelter not too far away, it was more towards the edge. Not the most ideal hiding spot but it would keep them safe enough especially since it would be better defendable than being out in the open.

"This way," she said as she ran off after calling back any pokemon that couldn't keep up or would slow her down. She wasn't particulary good at running. She hardly had any stamina, and she was rather short so she couldn't cover as much ground as others. That is where her Girafarig came in. Her Girafarig was strong and fast and with her being relatively short and and slim she wasn't too heavy for her pokemon.
"It's not that far." she panted, "Gira, check if it's safe, Stairway Shelter." It took a little imagination and a certain tilting of the head and squinting of the eyes to see any kind of stairs there but it was the name that had gone around for generations now.

Gira dashed off ahead to make sure no pokemon would be resting there and might get startled or get aggresive.

Gabe's stamina was a whole lot better. He was taller and spend a lot more time running around. Mostly jogging with his Machop and Mareep. His reluctant Tepig following suit.
He heard another cry from the Fearow and feared it might already be recovering.

My entry is in ^_^
ugh, I'm sooo sorry :( I'll get too posting real soon.
Gnol looked upwards after Comet asked the question. "Not before nightfall. We'll have to camp somewhere, we might reach the border tomorrow in the late afternoon if we make good speed and leave at earliest convenience, otherwise it'll be another night sleeping under the stars" They would have to move out of the forest if they really wanted to make good speed but perhaps there were some paths not too well known to the public they could travel. "Once we cross the border it'll be another day or two at a good speed."

While Gnol's horse only stiffend at the roar, ready to sprint away if needed, Duncan's horse on the other hand bucked and reared and Duncan found himself dazed on the ground looking at his horse getting away as fast as it could. With the help of some colourful words and expressions Duncan scrambled to his feet and went in pursuit of the darn beast. He couldn't let his horse get tangled up somewhere and hurt itself. Luckily it was an easy to follow trail as there were many broken twigs, trampled bushes and deep hoof prints.

Gnol looked at Trevor. "I suppose our knight needs to find himself a new noble steed if he wants to continue his quest. This one clearly isn't suitable in the companion of dragons." He said, "not that riding anytime some will be comfortable at all, I imagine his bum to be black and blue before nightfall." Gnol spurred his horse to go a little faster to aid Duncan in finding his horse. If Duncan wouldn't find his horse they wouldn't be able to make it anywhere near the border within a day.

Alan grinned and half-bowed as far as he could. "Fortunately my dear lady, I'll be at your disposal to teach the fine art of rope-knotting-saddle-making-craft-stuff or whatever it is called. I'm sure we'll be able to get something decent finished this evening." It was only finding the right materials and a little imagination according to him.

Terasivas turned to Linda "Oh boy this is so great! Wait till I'm as big as Mercury tomorrow and than Alan can ride on me!" He looked Linda. "I can carry you though, do you want me to carry you on my back?"

RedClaws glanced at Fiona. "I recall that, pretty blinding on the wrong side." Crreessa stretched and started wondering about what kind of acrobatic stunts she could do on a flying dragon. As her thoughts started going towards a sychronised flying spectacle a warning growl of RedClaws made her stop her daydreams.

I see RedClaws and Trevor and the old Dragon hanging out be grumpy together, roll their eyes at every happy, joyful and energetic creature.
Jill, at first, didn't realise what Ricki was talking about as the for her more urgent matter of Ash had replaced any thoughts about Flarewolfs. When it dawned she smiled briefly. "Good, I'm glad."

She looked surprised down to her hand when Ricki grabbed it before she looked into the serious eyes of the girl.
Lost at words she stared for a few seconds before she looked away. She opened her mouth a couple of times, doubting wether or not she should open up to Ricki, wether or not she would allow the confidentially and familiarity with a crewmate or keep the distance and keep a strong image of a confident Captain that was on top of everything and could deal with everything thrown at her without any help.
With a sigh she glanced at Ricki. "I'll be fine, I promise. One day I'll manage something like this" she said, knowing she said as much as 'I'm not fine right now. She continued, "Magic is just so strange to me, I feel utterly useless confronted with it. Give me a horde of monsters or to the teeth armed advesaries and I'll lead everyone to victory. Let me up against something as strange as magic and I'm at loss. I don't know how to respond to that."

She would need to learn how to deal with it, she would at least have the knowledge so she could make the right decisions when presented with tough situations. One of the reasons she wanted Ash as her second in command was that they would know what to do but know they succumed to some weird magic themselves she was painfully aware of a void that needed to be dealt with.

Alans mouth dropped further and further as the list of food continued. "You are going to feed which army?" he asked, "How are we supposed to eat all of that?"

Gnol's grin widened with the increasing list. "Sounds absolutely delicious. I'll be round as a barrel if you cook like that every day," he said with a laugh. "I better start working out every day with you in the kitchen.

The green bird buzzing and landing on a branch made Marigold feel more at ease, birds wouldn't perch down in immediate danger. The only question was, how long would she be safe, what if the beast would win over the Ki-rin... she would need to get safety quickly, she needed to find Hunter.

Her head jerked up when she heared footsteps. Fearing it would be the Beast again she tried to gathered some strenght in her unwilling legs that were wobbly from the earlier sprint. She stumbled backwards when the Wolf landed in front of her and she opened her mouth to scream when she looked into the familiar eyes. "Echo?" she asked.
When the other Wolf slammed into a tree Marigold muffled a shriek. She recognised Hunter and a reliefed sigh came over her lips.
"Hunter," she said happily before tears welled up in her eyes and she started crying while her hands went through Hunters fur. "There was a beast...a leopard or something...at a lake closeby...it said Guardians and it muzzle was blood splotched.... It could have killed me if I didn't get help from someone in the lake...." she managed to say in between sobs. She had been afraid and now the adrenaline rush was subsiding and she was safe again she couldn't help herself, the tension just had been too much and she felt to inadequate to cope with situations like that.

The witch had done what? Anger started to boil into Hazels veins. "I'm part harpy." Hazel said through her teeth as she tried to keep her head clear. She couldn't let her focus down and go full harpy now. She was ready to track down that witch and see if she could find more evidence of malice so she could flag the hag. Although shredding the witch with her talons sounded like an awfully good idea.

"what's the curse breaker?" Hazel asked, this would be very valuable information if she would ever get in a likewise situation. She would probably have to let Keith know too, just in case, eventhough she didn't like depending on him.
Sarah shook her head top the questions about a river and lake. There were waterways on Rhando and a big lake in the centre but that wouldn't help now it wasn't near enough. Besides before she could tell about the location of their big lake the Ranger had already ordered the strageties and attacks. It was an impressive combo. Sarah shook herself up, she could stand there in awe or she could be useful herself too. Going over her options, there weren't many.

"Gira, come on out. Use confusion on any Spearow you can." The Girafarig looked at the bubble beam and Spearow behind it and started using confusion on Spearow trying to dodge the bubble beam.
Sarah shook her head, it was of little use going against a flock like that. If only they could dissipate the flock. Abra! what if Abra teleported Fearow away, would the Spearow brake up?

She waited till Rapier was in between attacks on Fearow before she let Abra get out, Abra sighed and lifted his head a bit. "Abra! Teleport to Fearow and teleport away from here. Return afterwards without Fearow. Can you do it?" Abra looked up and vanished. Reappearing on the Fearow it got hit by some bubbles from the bubble beam and pecks from Spearow. Moments later he dissappeared with the Fearow.
Now she hoped the Spearow would go search for Fearow or loose there focus. Worst case they would continue to attack but at least they would have a temporary relief of not having to deal with Fearow right now. Depending on how far Abra had gone it could return sooner than they would like.

He looked at Mareep and at the other trainer. "Come, let's find out if someone needs help! let's hurry!" he said as he dashed off.
he had run only for a short time, as he thought, when he abruptly halted as in the sky he suddenly saw a not so happy Fearow. "Uh oh..." Gabe said as the Fearow locked eyes with him. A cry emerged from the flying type and when it started to dive towards Gabe he called for Mareep to use Thunderbolt. Mareep, who usually was reluctant to attack flying type, jumped into action when she saw the treath Gabe was in and procused an as big as possbible thundershock.

Abra teleported away when Gabe ordered the attack and when Gabe saw the glimps of the psychic type he realised it could be Sarah who was in trouble. Eventhough Mareep had a type advantage, the Fearow could still be stronger. "Use Thunderwave!" he said, if the Fearow would be paralyzed they could go in the direction where he had seen the vague cloud-like shape of which he was now fairly sure it were the Spearow belonging to this Fearow.
With the big flying type at least temporary disabled he quickly ran off again without fearing an immediate threath from Fearow. He had to see if his sister was allright.
