I play a lot of Pokémon Ultra Moon. If you have any requests for specific eggs/babies, let me know and I will see what I can do.

Lot of old folks I knew in the past are checking me out. I wonder what they are plotting. :3

I wonder how I should address all the shade people have thrown at me during my time away. My mind says to let it go, but my heart says "with a chainsaw". Decisions.

Bio

Oh, you want to know about me? Not sure why, but ok.

A long time ago, in a bedroom far far away... my mommy met my daddy... and they did it.

What? Not that far back? Oh. Ok.

I'm a mechanic by trade, though a work-related injury nearly a decade ago has really hampered my life since. I'm what some would call a folkish heathen, if matters of spirituality interest you... though I lean more toward tribal rather than folkish. I live in Cleveland, have a nice little apartment in a decent neighborhood, and have two cats.

As far as RP? I like things with anime elements to them, as well as modern and traditional fantasy. Not interested in romance or furry or anything like that. Miss me with that stuff.

I'm brash. I do not sugar coat things. I will call people out on things. I will likely frustrate you at some point. ... however, I am one hell of a loyal person, should I ever decide you are a friend.

So there it is, I guess.

They'd simply have to find a way to stop you from executing them, they could for instance attack you while you're close with either a charged ability, if they have any - or a physical attack, if still able. But that comes down to who you are facing, and their own abilities.

You misunderstand. I'm saying if Talon hits someone with his sword... he can IMMEDIATELY activate those abilities to increase damage or rend limbs from bodies.

How would one stop that if the attack had already hit, hmm?

Weight plz? ^^

On average, one cubic foot of muscle tissue weighs around 63 pounds. Do the math and then subtract about 50% for the fact that the creature in question doesn't take up the full 30x240ft area.
Did the math.

Factoring in that the body isn't 100% muscle, then adding in the weight for a skeleton of that relative size, then the thicker skin... it comes up to about 100 tons.
Rilla said And that's not metagaming. Just because you are charging, doesn't mean the other person also isn't charging. They can use what they charge to mitigate some of the damage, or outright negate it.

My face when...

Alright. And what about techniques such as Talon's "Deep Cut" or "Grave Cut"? That are used after an attack already hits? How does one defend against those, Hmm?

Pretty simple, when I see a guy making fire in his hands, I start to charge my magical shield.

And against a foe who can simply fire off an attack with no visual preparation? Such as if a character simply builds up energy/ki/magic/etc internally for three posts, then attacks? What then? You HAVE to metagame to block it.

How do you prep a defense against a prepared offense and expect the prepared defense to even hold out? The only way this would work is if you somehow metagame and magically get away with it.

I like you even more now. And here I just liked your Taokaka at first.
Sorry for the double post. And now I am going to type up an IC post. I've let these squabbles distract me for long enough.

The real challenge is getting a hit with that charged up attack, to use maybe a bad example, imagine if Piccolo had missed with his special beam cannon. The fight would have ended badly for them right there.

And he did indeed need Goku to hold his brother still for him to power up his special sauce.

No, that's a good example.

And that's how it work. If you block a prepped attack with unprepped defense, then some of the attack would go through. If you evade it then the prepped attack will miss and became wasted charge.

Ok, and if you aimed with a pistol for ten rounds... against an all-enclosed tank with no viewports? Are you going to hit the pilot? No. Prep = shit vs a blatantly superior defensive tactic.

Captain Morgan?

Pretty much. While you may be able to absorb it, you'd have to prep for it. If I prep said attack for 3 turns and your absorb has no prep, then you'd take a good bit of that attack straight to damage.

Cute. No. If someone has ten turns of prep, and a character can still feasibly dodge or block... they dodge or block.

If you and I were in a fight, for example... and you pulled back a bat to swing at me while standing around a corner... Say I couldn't see you, and I walked up and saw your shadow, but you heard my footsteps. You step out and swing it at me, but I knew you were there JUST before you attacked. Guess what... you could be standing there for an hour and it wouldn't matter. I would have just as much chance to dodge as you would to hit.

Thus how logic works.

What people forget is this isnt a dice game and stats mean very little. This is writing game and your actions written dicate what happens not an arbitrary plus or minus of numbers. If cant write it happening no amount of stats you point too will make it happen.

I wasn't saying I'm going to roll for shit, Skall. I was simply using the stats as a REFERENCE... as I stated more than once. Such as the "What about guns" and the "My armor is tough enough I can pretty much ignore bullets" thing that went on earlier.

Numbers help for those nitpicky moments where someone says they can survive this number of things. But you can put out THIS number of things. And THIS number is bigger than this number.

Indeed.

GreivousKhan said
The only real number that will often matter is the amount of prep behind an attack. :K

So you're saying if someone has an attack that could take out a truck full of guys, but one guy in that truck has an ability that lets him absorb the force of a blast and send in back outward a few second later... and he can use that ability reflexively (as in WHEN shit happens)... that he can't use it to save himself or his pals?
