Appearance Description:
With a lithe silhouette and a large, metal longbow at his side, not to mention him mounted on a muscular, black horse, Davor appears built for the back line of combat. Davor stands relatively tall, and always seems to be perfectly groomed, with a head of muted brown hair, a pair of dark blue eyes, and a smile on his clean-shaven, warm beige face. His well-kept armor and war-gear features various shades and material, with the metallic plate-like pieces being a shining silver, the flowing cloth being several shades of teal and blue for the majority. The leather straps, gloves and such are dark shades of brown, and other accoutrements and metallic bits in brass and gold.
Personality:
Davor seems very calm, cheerful, and collected; not the life of the party, but a wise friend. This seems to be a recurring theme in most of his roles he takes in the majority of things: a cunning tactician, an accurate sharpshooter, a follower of orders, a head of the family wine trade. Because of this however, Davor tends to be rather aloof when faced with matters he fancies significantly less, making him rather niche, yet fantastic at the jobs he can do. One can expect him to give all his effort to his passions, but only just.
In terms of being around people, Davor is partially indifferent. He can tell when other people like or dislike him, and he acts accordingly. Because of this, he seems quite detached from most other folk. This renders him quite hard to befriend. Despite this, however, Davor will always strive for your best intentions, if it aligns with his own moral code. He finds enjoyment in the improvement of others, whether friend or simple acquaintance.
Biography:
Davor was raised from childhood in the seat of nobility. Being in the trade capital of the entire world, Davor never knew of a time he wasn’t without money, or without some kind of benefit plan. It helped, too, that his family owned a winery business, quite famous around the cities, raking in countless millions in cash. In this overindulgent lifestyle, Davor grew up having just about everything he ever wanted: a top-notch education, a great deal of reputation among his peers, and any and every form of entertainment money could afford.
Davor discovered archery at the age of six. Since then, he was fascinated by the wonders of precise, perfect accuracy, and the dance between a man and his bow. His parents, with much reluctance, allowed him to learn the art one year later, starting from the ground up as a page for one Sir Ellowyn, a female knight with an expertise with the bow. With her teachings, Davor learned the importance of responsibility, duty, and the art of war.
Davor spent the next 14 years under the tutelage of Sir Ellowyn, learning all the ins and outs of archery, armor maintenance and the importance of battle tactics, a job Davor proved to be quite proficient in. Finally, at the age of 21, after all the effort put into being the man he was, he was finally knighted as Sir Davor of Myre… and was thrust directly into the fray.
For the next year and a half, Davor was juggling both his family business and being deployed constantly to defend Myre’s borders. This appeared to be where he was at his element, honing both his mind and body to be as tactical, accurate and efficient as possible. Davor indulged in the rush it gave him, and this perspective earned him a place as a tactician in the royal guard, a title he did not take lightly.
Lo and behold, the news of growing tension across the Thanatian Sea; pirates, just along the border of the landmass of Cesadas. Suddenly, a declaration of a pirate war, one to threaten Estala and the Archipelago, and soon enough, Cesadas as well. As the capital city, of course Myre would send their greatest guard to aid in the fray, solely for the purpose of self-defense. Davor’s own family would have personal squabble in this, too, as wartime greatly affects the status of the family business, a risk the family is not amicable to taking. All the reason for Davor, personally, to go. With a skip in his step and a longstriding smile, Davor sets off for Port Sylvanus, and eventually, the rest of the world.

Appearance Description:
Cylo never fails to stand out against crowds with her strikingly ethereal outfits and her elegant, floaty demeanor. She stands tall and proper, and carries herself with a formal grace. She has delicate features: narrow jawline, rounded cheeks, slightly pointed nose. She has clear, aqua eyes, sometimes heavy with a lidded expression. Her ivory face sits underneath a tightly bound, intricately braided, platinum blonde chignon. Lastly, a pair of pointed, triangular ears, a sign of a Laguz of any bird tribe.
Her outfits tend to vary, but her outfit as of this conquest is an expensive, white dress, cut open in the front and ending in a short, flowing train. This is worn under a beautifully embroidered shoulder cape, also white in color. However, the most obvious feature of the outfit is a big, fluffy, cream colored fur scarf, which presents itself ostentatiously against the rest of the outfit. Lastly, a pair of elegant, white wings sit proudly on her shoulder blades, giving her a very angelic, almost incorporeal appearance.
Personality:
Cylo can be described as a proper lady who exudes grace. She stands upright with a straight spine, almost leaning back, and takes light steps, as if stepping on rough surfaces. She keeps a cool head, especially when faced with public groups. She also tends to be very, very quiet, her voice never seeming to go higher than a whisper, and if one tries to listen in, it seems that there’s a certain hoarseness to it. This, however, is in stark contrast to when she sings, where her voice is loud, silvery, and well-modulated.
In the public eye, Cylo seems very distant, acting rather cold to those she doesn’t know well. However, with more softened relationships, one may find that Cylo gets livelier the more you get to know her. She is rather introspective, always looking for the meaning of things, what’s underneath the first layer. She cares deeply for friends, and longs for more, though she doesn’t seem confident enough to go out of her way to make some.
She has a real soft spot for music. She can’t help swaying her head to the lovely tune of a piano, or giving a skip or two when she hears the sound of a lively fiddle. There are moments where she will contribute her voice to the song, if she knows the lyrics, or if she had memorized the tune by heart. Music seems to be her muse, a trait many folks know well. It is her contribution to the sad serious world, one she performs with passion and gusto.
Biography:
A small, heron child was born in the middle of a smuggling operation, where she came out early due to her mother’s stress. For the first few days of her life, she didn’t seem like she was going to make it. This pushed the Laguz of that specific circumstance to fight, harder than they ever did before. Eventually, they did get out, just in time. They had just arrived at Port Sesta, free of their bonds. However, the heron’s mother did not make it.
She spent the next few years of her life sheltered in an orphanage, her caretaker being a Laguz himself. Something was off with her voice, and no one in that poor community could figure out what. The baby didn’t speak, didn’t cry, didn’t make any sort of sounds that confirmed any sort of communication. Rather, she seemed to mime it out, yet no one could hear her voice. She was effectively mute.
Just when the orphanage was going bankrupt, a wealthy Beorc showman took her in, raising her as his own. This, of course, sparked a great controversy: Theodore Reissar, widowed and childless, resorting to adopting a young, poor Laguz off the street. Regardless, Theodore endured through all of it, raising this child as his own, giving her the name Cylo, his own songbird.
Cylo was raised in Greymont ever since, her father always trying to make her life the best it can be. He showered her constantly with whatever he thought she wanted, even if she didn’t want it. At first, she was grateful. Who wouldn’t be, if put in the same situation? However, after a while, she began to grow concerned. She saw the stress on her father’s face. She was the only thing that mattered to him, and it showed through his obsession.
It was the eve before her tenth birthday. Not many folks would want to celebrate a birthday for a Laguz, even if she is the daughter of a respected showman, with his professional theater stage. This year was especially dour; It seemed that his esteemed compatriots’ patience ran thin, not wishing to put up with their friend’s blasphemy any longer. Theodore sat, head in his hands, furrowing his brow over what would be the first imperfect birthday for his daughter in six years.
Suddenly, he heard a voice, wafting clear throughout the hallways. A light, beautiful tone, singing a melancholy song, one that Theodore knew well, as he sang it to Cylo when she was very, very young. He followed the sound of the voice, travelling from hallway to stairwell, before arriving at the room of his daughter. There he stood, shocked, as in front of him was his mute, Laguz daughter, singing to her doll, her voice breaking the air, clear as day. She turned to face him, tears streaming down his face. His own songbird.
Her life seemed to change drastically since then. She was brought to a private school instead of homeschooling, and she started to have private singing lessons, where she honed her voice with the help of an unknown Mr. Nyrid, a bright-eyed old man with a passion for music and a liveliness to his voice. Despite the relatively short lessons Mr. Nyrid may have taught, they were certainly indispensable, and the two were able to bring Cylo’s voice to new heights, where she learned that her silvered voice and charisma could press deep into her audience, bringing out emotions from even the hardiest of folk.
Her father eventually found her talents to be quite enchanting, both in her human and her awakened heron form. He eventually added her as a talent in his theatre, a new performance that was as spectacular as it was controversial, pulling in and driving away many a crowd. Despite all this, Cylo became a beacon for Beorc and Laguz interrelations everywhere, in a movement that showed nearly all that it’s possible for the two to get along.
It has been about four years since she had joined the theatre. The Esteemed Siren, La Chanteuse, known to impress and impart emotions deep within Beorc and Laguz alike. As happy as she was with her life and how it had impacted relations between Laguz and Beorc all across Estala as well as the recognition she got as an advocate between the races, Nyrid had also imparted some lesson of meaning to Cylo, some deep insights into what it means to have a voice as powerful as hers. Soon, she found the idea of branching out quite tempting, and a need arose to (quite literally) spread her wings and fly, a thirst for adventure as an advocate of peace. She pitched the idea to her father, and after a deep conversation was had… she was allowed to go.
News befell the bright-eyed woman: Port Sesta, in deep trouble, being directly next to the Thanatian Sea, where a pirate war befell. It was also said that the son of the King, a young lad with the surname of Estali, would also be joining the fray. With little combat experience, yet a clear, open-minded optimism, Miss Cyrei: La Chanteuse, enters the fray.

Other:
Cylo doesn’t particularly like entering her Heron form out of combat. She feels out of place, maybe a side-effect of being raised under a Beorc-majority town. However, despite this, she seems to always advocate for both Beorc and Laguz, always an intermediary in between the two. Cylo has an affinity for the winter season, and her shows sell better in that season too.
