Mary nodded lightly before he ruffled her hair to which she patted her hair back down, "But there's really not much we can do... Well... I suppose there is something I can do, but I'm going to need someone a lot faster than me to get the item I need," She murmured before glancing around, scooting to the edge of the building and looking down in to the streets. A person stood next to her father in the crossroads wearing a helmet with a clear stone in its middle, "I need that," she looked to see Raina cut down the person on the roof, "If I get that helmet," she looked back at Kaori, "I could get us all out of here- my mother and I are the only ones who can use it to its truest potential and it not melt our heads for it," she nodded as Raina came over to them, about to lecture them before Mary motioned down.
Raina glanced down and sighed heavily, "Of course he's keeping him close by," she looked at Mary, "Quickest way will be for you to put me down there and then bring me back. Can you do that super fast?" She put her hand on her shoulder.
"I can certainly do my best," Mary said. Rain stepped back, preparing herself as Mary closed her eyes, focusing. Raina disappeared and reappeared below, cutting the guys head clear from his shoulders, taking it in her grasp as her father turned to strike, but Mary had her gone again and beside her before he could truly figure it out. Mary grabbed her head, her head reeling. Raina pulled her back from the edge, pushing Mary and Kaori down so they would be laying down with her in between, "Do not make a sound," Raina whispered harshly, almost holding her breath as well as Mary put her hand to her face, her nose starting to bleed.
"I want that back!" their father roared from below, his men nearly stumbling over themselves to get moving, people screaming as they were running all over the place below.

"I'm fine," Mera said, glancing back, not at all liking the idea of leaving Alari back there, "Let's move," She mustered up what strength she had and pushed forward, gasping a bit as she heard her father's voice, "Mary must have done something- we've got even less time than before," she said before skidding to a stop on the edge of a house, looking around for someone that was a victim of the rampage her father's men had had going through from house to house, "There," she pointed in to a house, "I'm seeing a few non moving warm bodies in that house, grab one," she told Larel before looking back the way they came.
Thanos grunted as the bunch hit his stomach and his hand caught Alari's arm as he went to uppercut him, "You're wasting your time," He grinned, "This man's body can withstand physical attacks for days from one man like yourself," He said before slamming his foot in to the ground, making the crack wider in the house, "Especially if you're missing your sense of urgency," he sneered before Hotaru's whole arm came out through the crack.
"I've almost got it brother, you focus on that pip squeak, while I go wring the life out of his sweetheart," Sybil cackled before she put both hands on the side of the crack, managing to get herself out, though not unscathed, "Such a shame her hard work was completely obliterated with hardly any effort," she turned and jumped up on to the roof of the house, "COME OUT, COME OUT! I WANT TO PLAY!" she roared as her wounds slowly bled since she was taxing Hotaru's body to such an extent as she was still fighting to gain some control back, but Sybil wanted revenge for Nero trying to send her away.
"Shit!" Mera hissed before looking around, "Quickly, she'll be coming this way soon enough," she said as she tried to thick of what they might do to distract her. It dawned on her then and she sighed, "Please don't think less of me in my moment of desperation," she murmured as she used her vines to pick up the dead and bloodied bodies, scattering them on the roof tops, "Sybil's hold won't be able to combat the parts of Hotaru that have both an aversion to and need for blood," she said as she continued to do so, having at least a dozen bodies on the roof tops near them
"Ah, Kaori!" Mary smiled before Raina grabbed his arm and pulled him down, "Sorry, this is my sister, Raina," she whispered realizing Raina was wanting them to be discrete.
"The enemies are everywhere," Raina whispered, "In some way or another the demon possessing our father has brought some sort of small army with him and they're possessing others. They're capable of being without the hosts, but their hold on the physical realm is much strong this way," Raina whispered as she looked around, "He's choosing people within our family because of our close connection to the elves, who used to be closest tied to the elements and therefore one of the stronger races. Now he's picking humans because he believes we won't attack the humans in an attempt to protect ourselves," she explained as she looked over and motioned with two fingers towards a shadowy figure, "Keep low and keep quiet," she whispered before she moved towards another shadow, blending in with the dark sky as she closed in on them.
"Raina doesn't have any elemental powers so she chose to focus on these skills instead," Mary whispered to Kaori, staying down, "She's also not likely to get possessed based off what she just said. But what was Alari's message?" she looked at him, wondering what he had to say, leaning closer to him so they didn't have to talk so loud and Raina wouldn't get mad at them.

Mera slowly sank to the ground, panting heavily as she couldn't manage to keep standing at this point, having using up a serious amount of energy to force her magic to move at a faster pace, "I would prefer not to lose a second brother if we can manage that," she mumbled, looking at Larel, "But my brother wouldn't want to be a permanent puppet to some demon scum," she looked towards Alari and then back to Thanos, "if you can just incapacitate him that would be best, but do whatever you have to do to stop him," she sighed, putting her hand to her head as Thanos stepped forward, cracking his knuckles.
"I can keep you entertained awhile, at least until Sybil manages to get back to her favorite host yet," he said before putting his hands out, the ground starting to rumble around them.
She put her hands forwards, vines grabbing ahold of his arms, pulling them down, using a lot of weaker vines since she couldn't muster up the power to use anything stronger. She gasped as she heard the wood behind her cracking and Thanos sneered.
"I didn't think she would wait long," he said as the cracking continued.
"Sybil has forcibly repossessed Hotaru," Mera said, clearly starting to panic a little as she was trying to figure out a solution to the problem before Thanos stomped his foot. A crack shot from his foot to the wood around the house, putting a huge crack in it, all the way up, "Damn, we need to move- get a better position- and we should find some actual human blood for Hotaru, hunger was how Sybil was controlling her before," she looked at the two of them, still holding her hand towards Thanos, more and more vines trying to hold on to his massive frame, though he just seemed amused.
"Awwww~ Don't run away~ After such a valiant effort, I want to see the look on your face knowing your brother's sacrifice was worthless!" Sybil called out from inside the house and Mera made a face that made it clear it was killing her to know that Nero died in vain, "We just want to plaaaay, all of us!" she called out again before laughing, her fingers appearing in the crack as she started to try and work her way out of the casing Mera had put her in.
"We need to move, now!" Mera got back to her feet, but Thanos twisted his foot again and a hole opened beneath her, dropping her in up to her waist before closing again.
Alright, take your time. I'm usually a little overwhelmed in the afternoon with grading XD
Good luck with all of it, sounds like soooo much fun lol
Mary was up on the rooftops, looking around, not having taken the time to change out of her attire yet. She stepped towards Eryn's house and a chill went through her, He's here! she called out to Larel and Alari, scrambling back a bit before looking around for Eryn, who she couldn't seem to locate, nor could she find Thanos.
Mera was pulling Hotaru along, away from the people, trying to hurry as Hotaru grabbed her head, "Damn,"she hissed when she realized she wasn't going fast enough. She stopped by a house, checking to see that no one was inside, shoving Hotaru inside and she held her hands up, slowly covering the house in thick roots with an exterior of bark. With her magic being weakened by the cuffs, it was taking everything she could to work on it, but she had no choice. It was the only way to contain her for a long enough period of time that she could do something to get the people away from there, but she saw it out of the corner of her eyes, that the thing in her fathers body was moving towards the people, looking around, rubbing his chin as he was clearly deciding on what to do, "Damn it!" she grit her teeth, trying to make her magic move faster, feeling her body aching as she forced it beyond its limits at that point, but she couldn't stop. By the time he was out of sight, probably mingling amongst those about to be his victims, she finally got the majority of the house covered. She leaned against it, panting heavily, trying to get her strength back. She looked over her shoulder as she heard someone approached and she paled seeing Thanos.
Usually he would be a site for sore eyes at that moment but there was something off about him in general, and she could only guess that the demon had gotten ahold of him.
"So it seems you've caught on to the situation," he said, cracking his knuckles as she turned to face him, leaning against the bark.
"Release him," she said through her grit teeth.
"Or what? Two devious little witches wanting to play cupid have your powers zapped at the moment, don't they? That's why it took you so long to pull that off," he motioned behind her, "Which it won't help. Whenever Sybil decides she wants to play, you're all in for some trouble," he grinned.

Mary went towards the edge of the houses, looking down in the streets. Seeing her father made her stomach churn, the dark aura just rolling off him. She gasped when a hand clasped over her mouth, a female pulling her down and out of site as he turned to look up that way, "Mary, you idiot, don't be such a sitting duck!" a voice hissed.
Mary looked up at the woman, having a hard time recognizing her with the tight leather garb on and her hair hidden in a hood, but only one other person had the exact facial structure as Mera and that way, "Raina!" she sighed in relief, "What are you wearing?"
"Something that makes it much easier to give from place to place without being noticed," Raina rolled her eyes, "Now be quiet," She drew a couple of jagged daggers from her side as she looked around, "He's probably got people up here trying to find you," it was about then Mary remember Raina was one of their siblings that had no ability to use magic, so she guessed she shouldn't have been surprised that she found something else to focus on honing her abilities for, "Thanos and Sola have both been possessed," she whispered, "So whatever you do, do not go to them for help. Mother may have been as well. I hid Eryn as he's about as useful as a cat in a sack in the water," she mumbled.
"I-I've got friends here who can help," Mary whispered, "We're not alone in this," she added, looking around for Alari and Kaori
"Tell them to go to Mera, Thanos will have gone after her and he's a match for any of us on our best days," Raina told her and Mary nodded, relaying the message to them to find mera.
It's actually gotten longer because I'm throwing questions on the end of it for them to practice it XD I'm evil. And it's alright. Focus on your school work
"You weren't hiding with our things the whole time, were you, Mary?" Mera looked over at her sister, deciding to talk to her than taunt Alari about her dress.
"No, I wasn't, I played with some little kids as well," Mary smiled brightly before they both turned their attention to Larel.
Mera had to admit she was a little disappointed that the overall good mood was kinda killed with Zenmaru coming back in to the picture, but Mary held out her cloak, which she put on, regardless of Eryn's whining that she was going to kill him if she did, "Hotaru, would you like to go change?" she looked at her.
"I would have liked to change yesterday," Hotaru said simply before starting with her back to Eryn's house where their clothes were and Mary handed Hotaru back her katana.
"You're a traitor, little sister," he pouted
"If I didn't give them to them, Hotaru would have forced you to give them back," Mary patted his arm before looking back to the others, "I guess I'll go back to keeping an eye out, I haven't sense any particular things within a mile or so of the village, but it's kind of been hard to pin point anything with all these people going around, the music, and such," she said, hoping she wasn't wrong. She turned and started to walk back towards the edge of the village where Thanros was, hoping she could use him in a way to stretch her view to see where their father currently was. She got down a side street and stopped as she looked around, getting some feeling that there was something close by.
Mera and Hotaru were already almost to Eryn's when Mera stopped, getting that same feeling. "What is it?" Hotaru looked at her, looking around as she recognized that look on her face. That there was something dangerous close by, but she didn't see anything.
"He's here," Mera murmured, looking around, a little but more panicky than before, grabbing Hotaru's arm and pulling her in to Eryn's house, "I didn't get the cuffs off, there's no way I'll stand a chance against him," she was trying to think of a solution to get him at least away from the village because even if they left, he would destroy this place to spite them, especially Eryn.
"Then we need to leave," Hotaru said simply
"We can't just leave, he's not one tracked minded unfortunately."
"I'm insulted," they both froze at the voice that interrupted them and they turned to see the man sitting in the dark corner of Eryn's living room, "I don't think having a little dedication to my cause should be such a bad thing," he said as he stood up
"And what cause is that?" Mera pulled Hotaru behind her, feeling the need to try and protect her from this man, this thing.
"To rid the world of the lesser beings, of course. However, I think you're still a page behind, Scarlet," he walked forwards, standing in front of the fire, his shadow cast over the two, "You still believe that I'm your father, which is the rouse I would prefer the other idiot gypsies believe, but this bloodline I chose for a reason. You're still the purest line, the one with the most relation to your elven ancestors, that's why your powers are so much stronger than the others. I could resist such a grand host-"
"What the hell are you going on about?"
"Do you really not understand?" He mused before pulling out a container that looked a lot like the one on Hotaru's hip, "I sent one of my children ahead of me this evening and made sure that Hotaru got that particular flask on her now because your brother sacrificed himself to try and rid the world of one of my daughters, my favorite, if we're being honest. But no gypsy host would satisfy her when I offered, because she had taken a fancy to messing with a young vampires head," he said and Hotaru paled a bit, "Now all we have to do is wait for her to be able to travel back since her host has been prepped."
"Sybil," Mera tried not to react, "You're saying... that you're Sybil's father... why did you chose my father as your host?"
"Because he was weakened. A mortal wound delivered from a human who thought he was an enemy, like his brothers who want to rid the world of the humans. It was so easy to get inside at that point. And then I just had to mold the clay that he had spawned," He chuckled darkly and Mera grit her teeth. She grabbed Hotaru's arm and pulled her out of the house, running down the street quickly.
"Where are we going?" Hotaru managed to swallow and ask as she looked over their shoulder, "What about Larel and the others?"
"We have to get you somewhere secure before that bitch gets back in your head. The others shouldn't be their target if they don't know what was going on tonight," Mera murmured the last part, hoping that none of that things' spawn had seen
Egads, I'm so sorry, I've been working on it, I promise I'm just deciding what direction to really go for killing the mood and last night I spent basically my whole afternoon making a grammar review for 10th graders.... 42 slides on keynote on punctuation.
Mera looked over hearing Eryn's badgering of Larel, about to tell him to leave Larel alone until he answered, "Does he realize he just admitted he thinks she's pretty?" she murmured quietly with a smirk, looking forward again whenever Alari admonished Kaori for insulting Hotaru, who looked like she was seconds from either roasting Kaori, or blushing from embarrassment because she too caught on that Larel had actually just called her pretty, or rather that he said she was prettier, which meant he thought she was pretty to start with. Her attention went to the sky when Kaori pointed and she smiled lightly seeing the fireworks, remembering something similar from when she was younger. She blinked a bit feeling Alari taking hold of her hand, but she smiled after a moment, hearing him, "I'm sure," she smirked lightly before looking back up at the sky, "I really am never going to dress this way again, just so we're clear on that," she added, not talking loud enough for Larel to hear, but loud enough Alari could hear her over the fireworks. She wasn't all the comfortable in gowns like these, as they weren't very durable in a fight and she was usually always prepared. But it did feel nice to feel... "girly" for a little while, to be complimented in a way that didn't feel odd for the most part, having her beauty appreciated again. It had been awhile since she had had such vain thoughts.
Hotaru was watching them as well, smiling as she saw Larel's reaction to them. She liked getting to see this side of him, seeing him sort of open up a bit more and show who he was without Zenmaru talking in his ear. She was almost a little sad thinking it couldn't always be this way since she imagined she wouldn't stay down long. She was going to remember this night for as long as she was able, the first night in a long time she actually felt completely happy. Even with Eryn and Kaori calling her brutish, this was still a great night and not just because she heard Larel compliment her. It wasn't a night of running or hiding or trying to pretend that the world wasn't coming after them- though in a way hey were- it was just a night of enjoying themselves, "We'll have to make sure to do this again sometime," she smiled at Larel, nodding, "And next time I'm totally going to kick your butt at the vendor games," She pointed at him, making a challenge out it, but it was clearly she meant it in good fun.

Mary came up to them, standing near Eryn as she beamed, looking up at the fireworks, "Oh wow!" she grinned, "That's so cool!" she clapped her hands together, bouncing a bit and Eryn chuckled at her.
"I'm glad you got to enjoy yourself," he nodded, looking at the four in front of them, "We did what we could I suppose to put the cards in their favor."
Mary looked at him then, though he wasn't looking at her, so he missed the look on her face. She was worried, scared, and there was something else in her expression, but another firework went off and she looked up at it before he would see it. She knew Eryn thought that the night have been worked towards the favor that he wanted, towards their happiness, but she wasn't entirely sure the goddess or whatever deity watched over them had given them that grace. She knew Thanos was hidden somewhere, still recovering from his wounds, Mera unable to aid him and be ready for their father with the cuffs on, and she knew they were still on from the fact Mera was still here- or had Alari talked her out of it? She hadn't seen her sister so relaxed and...smiling quite so much in a long time, so she knew Alari had done something to ease her mind, if only for a little while, and she appreciated that. She almost wanted to cry knowing she had actually enjoyed something like this, even if she didn't for the whole of it.
She looked at Kaori and smiled, "Have you been enjoying yourself?" she asked him, crossing her arms behind her back.
I'll respond soon, I promise. I had to make out a test for my sophomores and then I took the GRE yesterday morning and so my brain just kind been frazzled.
