Bio

I have been actively roleplaying for around 18 years now, since age 15. Which, as you might have guessed, makes me 33. I've done most of my rping on forums, averaging 2 to 4 paragraphs. Though I also LARP, and have played D&D for about 17 years. Real life has become a larger part of my life though, so my activity has lessened. Even so, I don't think I'll ever stop rping. :)

So...my cat was hit by a car today and passed away. I planned to make a post, but I think you can understand that I don't feel like it right now. =/
Ceres finished her food, then decided to stay up for a little while longer. She had slept quite well, and wanted her handover to pass a little before actually going to sleep again. Plus the sky was mostly clear, so it was nice out as well. Though after about an hour she too headed to bed. No use in staying up now, and then wasting her day by sleeping in. Unfortunately the only place where no men were sleeping was in the kitchen. So still feeling terrible from the hangover, she had do drag her hammock over to the kitchen, and hang it up there. "No way I'm sleeping in the same room as all those men. I'm not stupid." She though to herself as she tried to ropes again. Plus, this gave her a way to keep an eye on her supplies until she could buy a lock.

The next morning Ceres got up around 8 again. Just those few extra hours of rest had done her good, and she felt a lot better now. Ready to set sail at any time, after she went out on a quick errand run at least. But considering how everyone was still recovering from hangovers they probably weren't about to set sail within the hour. As she set out she again noted the new name the ship had been given. It was a curious name, so she once again made a note to ask Octavius about it. "Be back in half an hour or so! Tell the captain he better not leave without me!" She shouted as she stepped onto the docks.

"Sounds like a plan. There are two different paths leading out of this valley. In the game, one went to a light density forest with a small lake in the middle for level twenty and above. The other to some fields, then dunes, and behind them the sea and a small harbour city. Though you needed to be level 25 to safely cross the area. So we can go check out that lake area. I read in a data file that there would be a fishing quest there too, so I think we can expect two or three houses owned by fishermen. Maybe they'll have some food to sell." He nodded as if agreeing with himself and headed to the exit together with his partner.

In the very next area, after killing two spiders, Alakai could hear a soft 'ping', and in the corner of his eye he could see a small notification window pop up with the message 'You reached level 18!' This game didn't allow you to assign stat points yourself, but the hp and mana boost was good. This combined with the levels Kali had gained, would make the rest of the normal enemies easy as long as they were careful not to let her get aggro. After another 40 minutes of walking and fighting they reached a rather large hall. On one side, several entrances had been carved into the wall, clearly dwarven made by the design. On the other side, several caves went into different directions with rail tracks leading through two of them. Alakai hadn't read the lore of this place, but he could guess it was once a dwarven mine. And considering the size, they probably abandoned it because of lack of minerals. As usually Dwarven mines were huge, or at least had some people living in them.

"Okay hold up...this should be the end." The man spoke, looking around carefully. The boss was probably hiding in one of the caves, if there was indeed one. That wasn't what he was looking for. He wanted to see if the quest npc was there or not. Nothing to see yet...so there was only one thing to do. "Well, here goes... In terms of stats this shouldn't be too hard, but the boss in the game was huge..." He stepped inside further, ready to defend himself if needed. Though luckily this boss liked to announce itself. As Alakai could hear a chilling shriek coming from one of the caves. And out came the spider. "Broodmother" it was called, and this one was at least 2 times as big as the largest spiders they had encountered so far. "Oh shit...I didn't like spiders before, and this certainly isn't helping." He spoke softly. He glanced at Kali one more time, nodding quickly, before dashing towards the huge creature.

Ceres shrugged. She wasn't too concerned about what the captain thought about the outcome of their little match. He was right about one thing though. She didn't think of him as worthy of the title 'pirate lord'. Not in these times. It was his bad luck that he had been captured just as a new era was starting. Or maybe it was his luck that he was given a second chance? Many a pirate that was captured was just executed these days. Or sent to the prison that could only be described as hell. Or so the rumours said, as only one person had ever escaped from that place. Still, she did see the potential in him to become a lord once again. Octavius would no doubt start climbing to the top very quickly again. Combined with her knowledge of this new era it should go even faster. So even if the man would rather feed her to the sharks if he could, she planned to stick with him. Firstly so that she could travel the grand line much faster than anticipated, and secondly to see how far this man could go. There was a lot more to the grand line than just adventure, after all. Treasure, dangerous islands, other strong pirates, strong marines, and of course even more treasure. There was once a pirate that returned, half his crew dead and the rest wounded. Even their ship was barely still floating. A single man had defeated them all. Yet even they had managed to come back with enough to buy themselves a new ship.

One thing did irk her quite a bit though. Her pride as a cook was getting a little hurt now, considering how Octavius didn't even look at her food. He was distrusting of her, she got that. But the one thing she would always be completely honest about was her cooking. And she would never go so low as to poison anyone with her food. No real cook would treat their food that way. It was night though, so the girl didn't want to bother with that topic for now. Without saying a word she headed for the sad excuse of a kitchen the ship had. At least there was plenty of storage space for supplies. And since she was wide awake, if a little hung over, Ceres might as well start on organizing the place. "Which reminds me, I'm going to ban raiding this part of the galley. Like hell I'm letting those pigs touch my ingredients. I'll teach them what real food tastes like." She thought to herself as she started opening one of her crates. She didn't care about the rest of the galley, with more common items like bread, cheese, ale and fruit stored in it, though. "A few locks should do the trick as well. She then though, smiling slightly. And good locks they would be, even if a skilled burglar like her could still open them if they really wanted.
Also, sorry for the delay. Christmas has been a bit hectic for me. ^^;;
Sorry it's taking so long...the time around christmas is a bit hectic for me. :)
His suggestion was to rest for an hour or so, not the rest of the day. ^^;;
