Bio

I have been actively roleplaying for around 18 years now, since age 15. Which, as you might have guessed, makes me 33. I've done most of my rping on forums, averaging 2 to 4 paragraphs. Though I also LARP, and have played D&D for about 17 years. Real life has become a larger part of my life though, so my activity has lessened. Even so, I don't think I'll ever stop rping. :)

Something just occurred to me. About your 'vampire waking up hundreds of years later' idea. Why not just have them be bad guys? Taking over the world should give plenty of plot. xD And the whole world is against you pretty soon, so... Not that I want to switch or anything. Just a thought I had. :)

Also, omg they can totally be a badass vampire and werewolf couple. One hell of a twisted couple...but still a couple! :P
The moment a raider actually came into view Zara could feel her heartbeat quickening. Leaving the bet aside, this meant she would get to eat. On something fresh, no less. The corpses from the waste disposal were usually at least a day or two old, but this one would be a fresh kill. It was a bit annoying to have to restrain herself, as if she let her inner beast take over now they would definitely crash. Plus Kevin was to be the one to make the kill. A first shot was fired. And the man missed because of a bump in the road. Something she had gotten used to over time, so it hadn't even occurred to her that that might be a problem. She smirked a little, a part of her realizing that this meant he had lost the bet. That was 10 easy credits and more cigarettes for her. Though she might still give him another one as a kind of consolation prize.

Once the second shot had been fired, and had hit the target, they were only a few dozen feet away from him. And at this point Zara also gave up on trying to control herself any longer. She stopped the bike immediately, almost jumping off as soon as it came to a standstill in anticipation of her meal. "Better keep your distance~" She warned Kevin, a gleeful and hungry grin already on her lips. The woman started running towards the body at speeds rivalling top athletes. The last few feet she jumped, landing on top of the corpse on all fours as her teeth sunk into the body's neck. She ripped a large chump of flesh out, barely chewing and blood starting to drip down her chin immediately. It was like she was a completely different person. In fact, any unknowing onlooker would be fully convinced she was one of the 'first generation' the way she was now, opposed to the slightly more subdued but still very much crazy second generation of vampires.
(Imo, though she should 'work' on tailoring, I don't see a reason why it couldn't work as a skill in a game. As in, after working on it for a while the materials change into the crafted item. :) )

"That's the problem with skills. They start out as a chore. But once you get them high enough they will become a huge source of income. Tailoring more so than cooking, actually. So if you keep at it, you will soon be able to sell things for a lot of money." Alakai replied. He was actually a bit jealous of her having picked a good money making skill, while he had picked one that helped more with levelling later on. Then again, if they remained a team they would be sharing most things anyway. So they could benefit from each other's crafting skills.

Alakai started on a piece of meat right away. The fish had more juices, so they would still be quite hot. And he didn't want to burn his tongue while eating, if that was still possible. It probably was though. One he had finished the meat he thought for a bit, looked at the sun, and thought again. "Seems we're a tiny bit ahead of schedule. And we haven't killed all goblins yet. Actually, I planned on skipping him, but maybe we can go and take out the goblin leader before we leave for the anthills. Unlike the rest, he should have a good chance to drop a magical item. And, if I recall correctly, it has a very low chance to drop a signal horn. In the game, you could summon three goblins to fight for you for a minute, with an hour cooldown. If that drops, we could use it to help in the harder fights." They were almost at the goblin leader's cave anyway, having cleared out most of the village already. So it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. And the rewards could potentially be incredibly useful.

Once the man had finished two fish as well, and once Kali had taken her share, he put the rest of the cooked fish in his inventory. If they were still good to eat once they were back, it would mean he could cook food items they found while adventuring, and sell them in the city. It wouldn't earn them much, but every little bit helped. Especially since he was aiming for a store-bought weapon at level 25. It would cost 3000 gold, so 6000 for the both of them. In the game it was a PvP starter item. The only one you could buy for gold. And after calculating the pro's and con's of several weapons at that level, he had determined that it was the best weapon to get without having to put too much time into it, even for PvE. Since you could make the gold while reaching that level. "I'm ready when you are. So, shall we go fight the goblin leader, or head to the anthills immediately?" Alakai asked Kali, not being able to pick himself. As both choices were about equally good right now.
Zara smirked at Kevin's suggestion for a little bet. She wasn't really the betting woman. Her risks were taken in an entirely different manner. But 10 credits was still 10 credits. Problem was that she didn't have even that much left any more. "I'm a little short on money, but tell you what. I just found just over half a pack of cigarettes before you arrived. How about I put those as my bet instead?" A new pack was 15 credits, give or take, so it had about the same worth. And since he smoked as well, but seemed to not have any on them, he would probably take the bet that way. And she would still have a pack with only 1 taken out left to keep her busy for the next few days. "I'm hoping we'll find a raider before the drugged up nutters though..." Even if he did manage the shot, she might lose some cigarettes. But in turn she'd have an easy decent tasting meal. So this bet was basically win-win for her.

Once the man was sitting and ready, Zara clapped her hands three times, at which point the garage doors started to open on their own. It was a little program she had installed in the base's systems herself. And this way she didn't have to get off of her bike when she wanted to go out. The command only worked from the inside though. The outside worked on the standard voice recognition, hacked to recognize her voice. At first Zara decided to accelerate slowly. Kevin was clearly not that used to sitting on a bike, and people could get thrown off very easily if they weren't prepared for the G-forces wanting to throw them backwards. Her cyber eye didn't have something like grid coordinates. But she knew the general direction. And if she was unsure there was a man sitting right behind her that could point her into the right direction again.
Okay. Was already beginning to wonder a little. :P
"Oh great...one of those companies..." Zara sighed, but didn't say anything else about it. It didn't exactly help with building her trust towards these people though. Kevin was...fine so far. He was just a hired man. And apart from her catching him oogling her every now and then, he seemed friendly enough. Despite her having tried to rile him up a little during conversation. The man explained the direction they would have to go in, and she nodded. Though when he asked if she was ready something did spring to mind. The man did have a point when he said she shouldn't carry her gun in her pants. "Actually, I forgot one thing. I need to grab my gun's holster." She spoke, leaving the bike running stationary as she stepped off and headed to the workbench. There she opened a cabinet and took the holster out, strapping it to her left thigh. Her gun had fingerprint recognition, so she wouldn't have to worry about Kevin grabbing it as they were riding and using it against her.
Oh, sorry, just didn't feel like posting for two days... Probably because I had a birthday dinner with the family the first evening, and a halloween party with friends on the second. ^^;;
Zara smirked, shaking her head. "I guess I'll pass for now. If this company really does plan to pay out I would give them the wrong idea if I ate you right away. Plus, you look like you have some training. I'd rather take my chances against someone that doesn't know how to fight, as long as I can make that choice." She vaguely remembered having eaten one of those drugged up nutters before, and that they tasted rather stringy and didn't have much meat on them, but it would have to do for now. "Druggies it is...though I'm not making a habit of eating those. You could compare it to eating old, dry bread opposed to fresh bread with butter." She shrugged, then made quick work of her coffee as well.

The woman then walked to her bike and sat on it. After putting in the keys and fiddling with the choke a little, pressed the start button. The first two times it didn't start. But then finally, under some protest, it started up the third time. "Guess my tinkering paid off." She spoke, excited that she had managed to fix the damn thing again even with her minimum experience. "Now, some ground rules for the passenger seat. First, hands around the waist only. Secondly, more for safety reasons, trying anything fishy while we're riding can easily result in us crashing. And thirdly, keep talking to the times when we're riding more slowly. Not because I don't want to chat, but because I won't be able to hear you anyway. Wind rushing past you and the engine and all that." Back before Zara got infected she had crashed with a passenger once. Something she'd rather not do again. As that was where she had gotten her cybernetic eye. Or rather, lost her biological one. "And that's about it. You'll have to tell me where to go obviously, as I have no clue where this company is. Considering you said it will take a week or two on foot, in another city I presume."
"Heh, mixing drinks isn't exactly a useful skill in the wasteland. If I could still live in the city it would be different of course." She mused, thinking back to those days. There were many people hitting the bar every night, which wasn't a surprise considering the state of the world. So business had been pretty lucrative back then. Her new 'business' was too, but her costs had increased as well. You couldn't exactly go to the market to buy a corpse or two. "Nothing wrong with eating people though. Killing them, sure, but otherwise it's just a waste of meat." When her mind started to force her to be a cannibal, the oddity of it being a taboo became clear soon enough. So much wasted, good meat...

Zara finished up and joined Kevin at the coffee machine. She could go for another cup as well, especially since they would be travelling soon enough. "Yea, some people 'throw away' dead people. Or rather, want to get rid of bodies discretely. I'm sure you can figure the rest out yourself." She answered, grinning a little bit. Surely a guy like him wasn't so naive to think organized crime didn't happen in cities any more. She grabbed a mug, and filled it with the last bit of coffee in the can, adding plenty of sugar and a tiny bit of milk to it, and stirring as she turned her attention to Kevin again.

The man then wanted to give her some advice, and indeed it made sense. A good, strong off-roader would be better than her dirt bike. But it wasn't all about practicality for her. "I more of a biker girl. And when you're solo, it's better. Better manoeuvrability, and it's able to get through tighter area's. If you want a truck that badly, go buy one. I'm sticking to my bike. Though a newer, larger model would be nice..." Now that she was done though, there was another issue she had to deal with. "Now, about me eating other humans. I should warn you I haven't eaten in two days. At most I can go without for three, so either you get me some credits so I can buy food, or we're going to have to find some raiders or natives under way very soon. At least, I don't think you want to donate your remaining arm or something." She spoke with a slight grin, her eyes looking him over as if she was already deciding what part might be best to start with. Mostly because her hunger and rational mind didn't want to get along as days without food went by.
It's not generally my thing. But I can't help but catch a glance every now and then when I do see a fine one. :P
