Bio

I have been actively roleplaying for around 18 years now, since age 15. Which, as you might have guessed, makes me 33. I've done most of my rping on forums, averaging 2 to 4 paragraphs. Though I also LARP, and have played D&D for about 17 years. Real life has become a larger part of my life though, so my activity has lessened. Even so, I don't think I'll ever stop rping. :)

Sorry dat het zo lang duurt. Ik heb wat moeite met bedenken van een goeie post, en heb nog niet echt genoeg tijd gekregen om er over na te denken de laatste paar dagen. ^^;;
Mathias raised a brow when he was handed a controller, and looked at the game. He had played a bit of fighting games before, but had never understood how all these 'combo' things worked. The game started soon after, and as any beginner would do Mathias just tried to push a bunch of buttons and see what was effective. And to his surprise, he was actually starting to hit back after a while. And then it happened. Once they were both down to below 1/3 health Mathias accidentally used a combo move that ended in a special move. And Mary's character was K.O.

Mathias chuckled, putting the controller down again. "That means I win I believe." Mary grumbled a little. "Beginner's luck..." She muttered softly before looking at Evon again. "I wanna play against Evon again~ She doesn't cheat by randomly pressing buttons." Mathias shrugged, then pushed the controller towards Evon. "You still lost though." He added with a playful smile.

The rest of the night was luckily quiet. No more unwanted guests. Though then it was time for bed. Or at least Mary wanted to go and sleep. Mathias wouldn't mind staying up a bit longer. And he planned on doing so while laying in bed. Even if Evon did want to go to sleep immediately he could still just enjoy her company until he fell asleep as well. "See you tomorrow then Mary. And don't get one of the others to pack for you either. We both know you can do that yourself." He spoke at the door. "But it's boring..." She replied with a small pout.
A few minutes later and the buzzer sounded, followed by the voice of the administrator. "All teams will be teleported to the arena 5 seconds after I'm done. Once in the arena there will be a 30 second preparation time before another buzzer sounds. That's when the test starts. Good luck everyone!" The man's voice disappeared, and now an electronic sounding one came through the speakers instead. "Five, four, three, two, one." And all the teams disappeared, and reappeared inside of the arena. Excel looked around, trying to judge what the best course of action was right now. Though he couldn't come up with something. So it was probably best to wait and see first.

"As you said, best not to attract attention from those alligator guys for now. So how about I stay here to defend our hallway, and you get rid of that weak team that was in the same test as us last time? With any luck those lizards will think we're weak, and attack the other team from their test first. That way we can see how strong those two teams are." He didn't mind going to take that other team out either. But since he was also stronger than her it was probably best for him to defend for now, in case the lizards decided to try and get their flag. Brute force could be difficult to handle, but if he was fast enough they wouldn't be able to touch him he hoped.
Mathias continued on with the meeting, finding it rather boring himself as well. Though it had to be done, as the wealth of each of them was important to the group's well-being as a whole. Plus a 'vacation' wasn't cheap the way they did so, so they also had to discuss who would pay for what. After just over 15 minutes more they all emerged again. Mitchell went into his cabin again to continue with what he was doing and to see how the prisoner was doing. Spike and Lemon went to theirs to call the bounty hunters. And Gerald decided to sit by the pool for now, enjoying a glass of brandy. Mathias decided to go and find Evon, if not to see if she wanted to do something else. As it would be another hour and a half before they usually went to bed.

After knocking and waiting a few moments he entered the cabin, and could already hear where the two were. In the 'living room', playing a game on the TV. He smiled a little bit and walked there, knocking on the entrance once again. "We're done, and I thought I'd join you two for a bit." He spoke, moving to sit on the chair next to the couch as the couch was already taken by the two girls.
Excel raised a brow. Leaving the other behind if needed... He didn't like that idea. A team was a team and had to stick together, whether they liked each other or not. But she was right. They might only be together for this one test. Why risk your own life for someone you barely knew like that? You couldn't make everyone happy after all. "I agree. We shouldn't risk our lives for the other. I wasn't planning to either way. My aim is not to find teammates, but to reach the top after all." He thought about her idea and nodded. "I guess that's a possibility. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they used a spell on the flags so you can't hide them from sight with magic. But if not, we can do that." Her pocket was a level higher, so harder to find when in invisible mode and harder to unlock as well. So hers was the best choice.

And then there was one final thing on his mind. The alligator-like team. Few people knew about the swamp-like world beneath the tower, consisting of large caverns and tunnels with underground plants, fungus and other such things growing inside. Excel had seen it once. After a cave-in there had been a tunnel leading down, and he had taken a peak. Though half a day later it was already closed off again. Rumours went that lizard-like creatures lived there. And these resembled that description. "Do you know anything about the lizard people?" He asked, nodding towards the team. "I've only heard some rumours, and heard that they're bad at magic, but make up for it in brute strength."
"I'll have Martin get you the numbers so you can call them yourself." Mathias spoke. "As long as you don't give too much detail of course. Even though the two kids might not do anything with the information, you never knew about their parents. As they were nobles too. Only one of them would need to go to the press or something similar, and this whole thing would blow out of proportion. Lastly Evon asked about the prisoner. Mathias shrugged slightly. "That's up to the vampire hunters' or organization. Our arrangement is that criminals are sent to them, and in turn they leave the others alone. Though I doubt she would be killed just for trespassing and spying. Jail seems most likely." Vampires went to jail for longer than humans considering their longer lifespan. But with any luck for the spy she'd be out again in 10 years or so.

"That's it for the important part of the discussion." Mathias then spoke. "Mary, why don't you go with Evon for a bit? We only have some boring financial things and such to discuss now anyway. We should be done in 20 minutes or so." Mary nodded. "Okay! I don't like the boring parts anyway~" Mary looked at Evon with a smile. "Wanna we go swimming again? Or we could continue playing a game in my cabin."
Excel kept staring out the window until only 15 minutes were left. He walked back and sat down across from Celestia, looking at her. "See it this way. If you reach a high enough level in the tower you'll become highly popular. So you can do what you want, and still please your father." Strong fighters, especially from the noble families, often started to get fans once they reached a high enough level. And if she reached the top her family wouldn't even have a say in what she did. Whom she married or what her 'job' would be would all be up to her, up to a certain point. She could even become an administrator herself. That is, if he didn't reach the top. If he did reach the top and everything went as planned, he'd get rid of such things as nobles and the need to fight and kill to reach to a higher level. No more oppressing the lowest levels, no more dictatorship from a king, and no more absolute poverty.

"But beside that, we should discuss tactics. To be honest I have no experience fighting in a team, so any idea's?" If it was up to him he'd approach the fight the same way as last time. Waiting it out as much as possible and letting others come to him. But in a team capture the flag battle that might not be the best plan.

(Iets vergeten een paar posts geleden. Een van de andere teams ziet er zo uit: http://th03.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2013/174/e/4/old_man_potrait_by_secildes-d6adyl6.png )
Excel sighed and continued eating his meal. He waited until he was finished before walking towards Celestia. He didn't look at her directly, but instead stared out of the window as she was doing. "Don't think you're the only one with a sad story. Many people trying to climb the tower have probably had it worse than you or me." Even his story was probably worse than hers. Both of his parents had been killed by someone that got pretty far up the ladder. This man had been a serial killer, with warped reasons as to why he was killing. And the tower's government hadn't done a single thing about it for at least two months before finally someone strong enough just happened to pass through the first 2 floors of the tower to take him out. He was only 12 back then.

"About your family." He now spoke a little most softly, not wanting the others to listen in. "I had my suspicions the moment I saw you use powerful magic that is usually only seen in the noble families. And after that you confirmed that suspicion several times. Any person climbing the tower is just another participant to me, so as long as we're a party I won't attack you at least." He didn't plan on staying with her for long. Though it depended on what kind of tests they were going to get after this. Maybe they were teamed up for more reasons than just the test they were about to take part in.
"We'll probably be out for a week." Mathias answered. "I doubt the hunters will take any longer than that to track this man down." Evon gave her insights into where she'd like to go. Mary then gave a suggestion Mathias wasn't even sure he'd been to before. And Evon seemed to like the idea as well. "Maldives, sounds like a plan. Places like that tend to even have swim weather during the night." He looked around to everyone, and they all seemed to agree. "The weather here in England has been pretty bad the last few months. And I wouldn't mind laying on an actual beach." Lemon spoke. "And build sand castles~" Mary chimed in.

"Very well. I know a woman that owns a private yet. I'm sure I can convince her to let me use it for a week or so." Mathias' connections spread wide and far. Some were only small connections, but still. A perk of both a long life and being a coven leader. "Leaving right now will probably not be necessary though. Especially since the sun will rise before some of us get back. So we'll leave tomorrow, then meet at the designated airport the night after tomorrow. I'll plan it in such a way that we'll arrive there in the early evening." Everyone nodded in agreement. "And Evon, I'm sure your two...friends should I call them? At school would at least like to know that you will be abroad for a while."
