Yay! I'm glad you like the idea! I like that picture too. Stein is one of my favorite anime characters, he's also one of the ones I fear the most.

I still have several things I need to work on for this and many of the important things are underway. I really do want to start the IC today.

Welcome to the USO! (Useless Superhero Organization)

I was thinking a rather large island, mostly forested but a large swath in the middle would be replaced by a community type area. There are docks which are the main way on and off the island, besides the heli-pad, which can only be used by a select few. There is a much smaller island that is somewhat connected to the main one, however people aren't supposed to go there so ignore it for now ;) As for contents there are your basic recreational facilities as well as a restaurant managed by a man whose power is to perfectly recreate recipes while asleep (. The main building is probably the most important, it's where every goes to hang out. Every one has their own little house that you can customize however you like, I'll leave that up to you. It is encouraged that you choose the site for your hose top be close to the 'hub' but if you want to have a house out in the middle of the wood so one will stop you. While your character's house is being built they will stay in basically a resort-type hotel, which are built surprisingly fast (don't question it).

Dear Sir/Miss/Whatever you are,
Let's face it, you are probably the biggest waste of super powers anyone has ever seen. That's right, you're powers are pretty useless but fortunately for you, they make you an outcast among all the lucky normal people. You can't fight crime or help any real superheroes because like we all already know your powers have no real practical use and that is where we come in.

Backround: Founded by a man whose power was to throw up precious metals, the USO functions as a home for super heroes who have been deemed 'useless' by other heroes and the world in general. Thanks to the founder's painful yet lucrative efforts the USO is located on its own private island, complete with anything one could ask for. The USO also collects missions that can hopefully engage some of the supers on the island.
Other: Each hero is given a sort of weekly allowance based on how useless their powers are, naturally people whose powers are more useless are seen as the 'cool kids'. The inhabitants are allowed to leave but are encouraged not to because the world can be quite harsh on them.
Rules:
I don't like OOC arguments, try and keep them to a minimum. Try not to double post too much and if you think things are going too fast just let everyone know. I'm generally pretty lax so my rules are more like suggestions. If you have any problems don't be afraid to ask.

Caroline

Name: Caroline Tucker
Age: 20
Gender: Female

Power(s): Caroline calls her ability 'inky fingers' and to be quite blunt that's basically what it is. Her finger tips leave behind a kind of mark, these are usually black in color but Caroline has been working on changing that color with some success. These marks are impossible to get rid of, excluding herself, which she only managed to do through countless hours of trying. Caroline has been unsuccessful in turning her powers off.

Personality: Caroline is a kind person but she is rather out of touch with reality, she is easily distracted and will daze off and forget what she's doing. Caroline is very trusting and forgiving even though she probably shouldn't be. When confronted with a situation or people that make her uncomfortable she will try to adapt to fit what is needed rather than voice her concerns.

Bio: Caroline grew up in a small town in Georgia, for a while she was happy there, no cares, no worries, she could ask for nothing more. She should have been more appreciative but she was blissfully unaware of a reason to be grateful for the peace and normalcy she had. When she turned 16 her powers began to 'kick in' at first she assumed that she had something on her hands but it became apparent that the source of the 'ink' was her own hands. Her ability flickered on and off with irregularity but it was easy to hide at first, after a few months her power became a permanent part of her. Caroline struggled for weeks trying to hide it and appear normal, eventually she started constantly wearing gloves. Despite her efforts word got out and people didn't take too kindly to her after that, she was regularly called names like 'devil spawn' and 'wicked child' by her classmate and eventually the whole town. Things were quite horrible for her but she was fine for a while. Then towards the end of her senior year she was attacked by a group of popular jerks. They forced her gloves off and when she accidentally marked the 'star' of the football team's face they became sadistic and stapled her gloves to her wrists so that she couldn't 'hurt' anyone anymore. Caroline removed the gloves and her wrists healed with little scaring, she refused to tell anyone because she didn't want their pity or help. She stayed her course and finished high school, the hard work paid off, she had any choice of colleges to go to but instead she hid until she found the USO and joined to get away from the rest of the world.

Other: She has been at the USO for a little while and she has a house that was just finished.

Power(s): Able to change her skin color to whatever she likes, though strong emotions can take control of her ability (I.E. extremely angered is red, extreme envy is green, you get the idea.)

Personality: Greedy and ambitious, Jadene is the type of girl who wants to be famous and knowledged if not superior, then at least respectable counterpart. She's bit of a lazy and not so well mannered girl, but doesn't mean to be directly bad to people. She just happen to have traits of personality that get lot of people pissed off.

Bio: Jadene has been growing up in most usual suburban way, even if the world nowadays Isn't quite what people thought 50 years ago. Been into comics and other superheroes and their glorious achievements, Jadene has had the future promise to be famous and rich beyond of her wildest dreams which has turned into a small obsession of hers during past years.

Of course she was bummed by the fact it wasn't super strength or super speed, not even telekinesis or claws, it was just her skincolor... she has managed to keep herself quite well among the general people, mostly since during her school years if someone picked on her for her skin, she just brawled for it, and she was the type of girl to punch rather than slap.

It was mediocre, normal life, not much roses, but not much of harsh conditions or anything else to actually train her for anything to become superhero. Once realizing how much self defense classes cost, she found article about USO on the internet... it was apparently entirely free, even paid. Of course she would love to establish some name for herself in a place like that, it was like going to the 2nd round of Idols straight away. After all, it surely wouldn't be too long until the bright lights of camera flashes would be onto her if she joined into a superhero organization.

Other: Has tried to keep her body well fit with gymnastics, but she barely knows how to battle in any form. Got her driversdrivers license two weeks before joining to USO.

Gae&Galena-Dahlia Hawthorne

Can turn from a man to a woman. When shifting genders they show distinct personality change, but act as if the actions done as the other gender were their actions as well.
Personality:
Gae is a quiet person who would prefer to stay in the shadows. He doesn't like to talk or socialize in any way, and he definitely doesn't want to be at the USO. Galena on the other hand is a peppy socialite who's main talent seems to be talking. She seems to love everything around her, and tries to make friends with everyone she makes eye contact with.
Bio:
Saving the day was never something Gae was interested in, but Galena always thought there would be some kind of positivity to this ability. When she went to the streets however, she found that switching gender wasn't really something saving the day could be done with. So she decided to join up with USO. Despite Gae's protest, they found themselves there in the end.
Other:
Gae is a strong artist, and Galena is a fantastic cook.

Bea-Epiphany

Name: Bea Fitspatrick

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Power: Bea calls this power Slow-Woe, in other words, when something bad happens to Bea she immediately acts it out in slow mo, the object that is involved also goes in slow mo as well.

Personality: The girl is extremely clumsy, she tries to be gentle and safe, but it always ends up with her 'Slow-Woeing'. Though she has a regal background and was taught to be elegant, Bea always breaks that with irony, she is just far too clumsy even with the appearance of a princess.

Bio: Her power was so terrible and so utterly useless that her parents could never bring her to a real superpower school, so instead they brought her here because of her extremely useless power.

Noah-FateWeaver

Name: Noah Williams
Age: 18

Appearance: Noah
Power(s): Empathy - The ability to sense the feelings of others, effected by proximity and familiarity with the subject. Particularly strong or widespread emotions can force Noah to truly feel the emotion.
Personality: Noah is typically quiet and reserved, though due to the nature of his power, is quite unstable. He is prone to sudden outbursts of rage or excitement, as well as swings into depression or anxiety. When he is able, he stays detached from his emotions and those around him, and seems cold and distant. Music helps him keep his calm, and to this end he is rarely seen without headphones, though set at a low volume so he can still hear others.
Bio: Before his power manifested, Noah was just another musically talented young man. When his change occurred, however, his mental state declined sharply. His parents, unable to afford a mental institution, put him out to live on the streets. He lived like this for a year and a half before the creator of the USO stumbled across him, and in a moment of lucidity, Noah introduced himself and asked for help. From that day, two years ago, he hays stayed with the USO, rarely if ever leaving the grounds for fear of what might occur if he is on his own.
Other: Noah plays as well as listens to the flute, harp, and piano.

Alison-ShadowedRaven

Power(s): Her hands glow (luckily on command) - only really comes in handy when your trying to find your way to the toilet at the dead of night. If she tries really hard she can sometimes create a few sparks at her fingertips.
Personality: Ally tends to be in one of two moods, very social, hyper and bubbly. Or the polar opposite where she wants to be alone and left to think. But either way she is a very caring person at heart and always try's to put other peoples feelings before her own. She is logical and very reasonable, always one to try and come up with the best solution for a problem rather than just the easiest.
Bio: Ally's father is a well known superhero among those of importance and in his eyes she is only a disappointment compared to her older brother and sister who inherited equally great powers to his. Her petty glowing hands was a mere embarrassment to the family and she often stayed at home or in the woods behind their luxurious house, away from the public and prying eyes. Her earlier years were spent at boarding school but when she turned 18 and came out of education she was seen as of little help to the world and her father suggested/ strongly implied that she should attend the USO, hence her current position here on the island. She has been here for just over 6 months and recently turned 19.
Other: Ally loves nature and the outdoors, but has always had a small fear of water as she never learned properly how to swim.
