Nixie licked off her spoon and set it back on the table. She sat quietly, not quite knowing what to do.
Nixie picked up a spoon and slowly took tiny bites of the oatmeal in front of her.
Nixie quickly sat down. She didn't want to upset or seem strange to anyone.

Nixie looked at the boy who spoke. "Thanks." She said with a smile. "What can you do?"
Nixie looked at the girl strangely. But dismissed it, standing still but moving her head to look about.

Nixie looked up. A smile spread across her lips. "Uh, yeah. Shapeshifter, but only animals." Her tail flicked, showing she was happy. "Sometimes it takes awhile for certain parts to go back to normal."
