I'm fairly certain Arty's swords, at least when wielded by himself, would stand a decent chance of piercing armor. Monomolecular edge and all that... Plus the 20 tons of strength behind them when he's got his armor on. He's also got guns (with depleted uranium bullets), but thus far hasn't used them because he can't get any more ammo if he runs out.

And speaking of sorcery, if everyone decides not to raise the strength limits I'll probably go with an Asha'man character from the WoT for my first high tier. That or a revamped version of my Noir Cyclops. Thoughts?
Huh... Oops. Maybe the angar-rylla use English and your guys learned it to better combat them.

A 100-tiered system is basically the excact same thing as a 10-tiered system.97 = 9,7I am -very- interested in seeing the 15-tiered system.

That's two of us now. Think you could scrabble together that summary, LeeRoy?
I guess what it comes down to for me is that a being without any inherent ranged powers, whose power is based solely on physical strength, should be able to have more raw power potential than a being who uses ranged powers to affect the world. A bruiser should be able to lift more than a telekinetic, for instance. Otherwise there's no point to the bruiser, and the telekinetic will stomp him every time. When a character's sole ranged capability relies on tossing the environment at his foes, he has to be able to have some other advantage over his ranged-powers competition in order to make up for that.
He could theoretically use his magnetic powers to amp his physical strength, but it was his metal-kinetic ability I was referring to. That combined with his ability to create forcefields that can tank nukes, flip the poles of the planet, and generally wreak havoc on the world, makes me think a strength-based high-tier should be able to lift at least that much weight.
No, it's also proportional to speed. As things stand now, you can get a heckuva lot more punching force out of a fast character than a strong one.

On a side note, looking over my CS's again made me wonder how my Noir version of cyclops would fare here, since his original RP seems to have died.
Hmm... Weak points at the shoulders, head, the entire torso, most of the legs, and the feet. I hope he's really, really good with those swords... ;)
Khazna? *goes to look him up*

Oh yes, Khazna. The guy who all the fuss was about when I got here. You know, I wouldn't mind having an out-of-armor bout with him sometime. In-armor it would be completely one-sided though.

And Arty also has guns, though he hesitates to use them since he can't get any more ammo right now, and his pair of retractable staves. I think he might have some knives too, but I'd have to go check.
A rating system which, for all intents and purposes, goes wholly ignored by all the bruisers. Most of the profiles for guys with class 100 strength say they can lift "far in excess of 100 tons" or "the full full extent of his strength is not known" or both.
Colossus is another one.

And by magicy, I just meant people with a range of powerful abilities that can be used both at range and close up (I was generalizing again). I was including tech in the mix. It's physical strength that gets curbstomped here, by both tech and magic.
