Absolutely astounded... Blown away. Received the best feedback on any writing piece I've ever done and I honestly have no words to express how good it feels to see the work pay off.

Prince, I understand that, however, the rule you were not grandfathered beyond is the one in which the roleplay was by invite-only. I'm sorry, but you even acknowledged that it was an invite-only thread before making the character. You also stated that you were just making him to get him out of your system, and now it seems that you expected to be accepted after we saw him. I apologize for the inconvenience, but seeing as you were creating the character because you had the urge to and not because you thought we would be allowing a tenth space to open, I don't see why there is such an issue. You're free to participate and talk with us, but we were unlikely to let an uninvited guest join, and the fact that we even gave thought to it is rather surprising to me. In our experience, as I'm sure you understand, roleplays with strangers have a tendency to fail within weeks of conception. Not to mention the decline in the Advanced section since the reboot of the site (not everybody, but I've noticed that a lot of the Advanced criteria have been toned down to be almost mid-Casual). There's nothing wrong with it, but it does make me far more comfortable to invite people I know and trust greatly, people I've known for a very long time who will not abandon the RP after it's begun without a very good reason.

I know where you're coming from with the existence of soemthing that comes from beyond the rules - I love that every roleplay has an anomaly or even a few that extend beyond the reach of the rules. It extends the reach of the roleplay's creativity and story-molding ideas. However, the idea behind the roleplay is that our characters already have that - all of them are special, even from one another, in a very specific way. We'll all have different drives, abilities, and grow in different ways despite sharing some very significant experiences.

I'm sorry that we didn't mention the rule sooner, but to be honest, it wasn't something that occured to us at the time, we wanted to get the interest check out for our friends and let them have a hand in some of the ideas of the world. That's why it's in the Interest Check phase. If this were an Open RP and we put it out in the OOC and had rules and everything was finalized before character creation, I would completely be on board. However, we're still fleshing out the plans and rules and everything, so it isn't fair to put it on us like that. Think of it this way: say you were playing an MMO in a beta test and you had a character that maxed out the beta's restrictions on levels and gear and everything... Well, the beta ends, and they wipe all the characters from the server. That's completely fair, because the beta is a test, not the finalized product of the game, so why would it be okay for the testers to be allowed to keep those characters when they joined the Beta simply to try out the game. The point isn't to give a lucky few players the ability to start early and be ahead of the game in levels and equipment. That's where we are now: a beta test, we're simply trying to find the kinks and mistakes in the initial posting of it.
Okay, let's go through all of this one at a time.

Firstly, I will update the reserve post with the information that Quarthex has proposed and finalized. As a side note, our official invitees are: Vena Sera, GoldenFlame, Genkai (void), Fox, Viper, Quarthex, and I. We will be filling the space which Genkai has left open and we shall update you as soon as we can on that front.

Prince, thank you for understanding and you have our sincerest apologies that Niccolo's central theme is broken by the newfound rules. I assure you that they were not founded in an attempt to force you out, we just hadn't realized the discrepancy until it arose, but I wish you good luck on your future in roleplaying. ^_^ And again, we greatly appreciate that wonderful banner you've shared.

Thirdly, Genkai, that is completely fine. We appreciate that you let us know before making a character and getting the roleplay moving. I understand not feeling that burning interest for it and appreciate the mature decision to leave now instead. Thank you, and good luck. ^_^

Lastly, I'd just like to tell everybody that your characters are looking fantastic! Can't wait to see how we do once everybody is finished. :D
Everybody, meet our last invitee! Not to be confused with Jesse's Poison-type Seviper, this is just Viper. Named after a reptilian, longitudinal worm-like creature that exists in a universe alternate to Pokemon. We call them "Snakes" - you may refer to them as Arbok/Ekans, Seviper, and maybe even Serperior/Snivy/etc. However, it's not the same, as he does not learn Poison Tail or Magical leaf. ;n; Waaa... Welcome aboard, buddy! :D
Thank you so much for the banner, Prince! Expect a PM later today or tomorrow in regards to the characters of our RP and things of the like. As it stands now, we are waiting for... Genkai to finish hers, GoldenFlame to post his, and one more person to make one, not to mention Quarthex will likely be making a second, but we'll be in touch. That banner is badass, I'm a sucker for Absol, personally, and his mane is SO FLUFFEH!
Awesome! Good to have ye aboard, comrade!
Oooooh... I quite like that!

As a side note, have you thought any more on that Pokemon RP? ^_^ I sent you a link to it.
Stranger said
I know this is a closed RP, but if at any point you have room for me, I'd be very interested in joining you.

Well that's awfully nice of ya, thanks for letting us know. ^^
The bios are looking great, guys! Can't wait to see how it all turns out! ^_^
Sorry it's so short, however! I had an idea for their reunion before they know who they are. I remember we were thinking hard how to connect them in the game... well, an idea I like is a player-run, in-game government where the different cities or factions would elect their leaders. What if Sasha was one such person of one of the very powerful factions. Her personal guard for a serious mission was infiltrated by James' guild as an attempt at a raid. They achieve their goal, just a hold-up because if you die you get set back not only money, but skill levels? So Sasha and her group and gives what was asked of them and James leaves. However, after the mission success, the guild decides that he's no longer under their protection, despite the fact that he started it, there'd be some kind of mutiny, and that means he not longer has a group. And he's a rather infamous player criminal, so as soon as news of his abandonment reaches some places, he's actually hunted. That would open up a means for them to meet again when he returns to her to apologize and give her back his share of what they stole from her and from there, we move it on forward?
James had already decided that champagne was not his drink, causing Matt to laugh and his paternal grandfather to be a little bit appalled at his lack of sophistication. He was convinced the boy would "grow into it," but James doubted it. Matt made him something with quite a bite to it, some kind of soda and whiskey. It was more bothersome to his grandpa that they took to their mother's side for their drink enjoyment. The boy looked over to Sasha at her question and thought for a moment before shaking his head.

"Nah... If I felt like there was something I needed to change about myself, I'd already be working on it. Not that I'm perfect, but it just feels... Well, it wouldn't work for me, I can't set a start date for doing something to get better because if I don't start right the moment that I realize it, then it'll be really hard for me to stick to it," He admitted with a shrug. "What about you?" He asked, kissing her cheek with his feet up on the coffee table. For the last few weeks, it was clear that somethin was on Matt's mind, but when anybody asked, he'd dismiss it as work or his last semester at school. James felt that he was lying, but he didn't push, lest whatever it was would upset their mother.

Since he and Sasha started going out, everything else in life just felt natural. It would only be a few minutes before Alex fell onto the couch beside James, also kicking up his feet with a relaxed sigh, "I gotta say, guys, I feel like this is going to be a really good year. I think the club needs to do more paintball when summer rolls around, I talked to some of hte other members and they said they really wanted to do it again. I don't think anybody would protest laser tag or... Oh, next year, around Halloween, we could go to one of those live-action zombie survival things. I heard that they let you stay overnight in the woods and it's... I can't remember if it's like laser sensors or airsoft... But anyway, you and your group have to survive on limited ammo overnight - if you get turned, you have to join the zombies and try to 'kill' your friends," He said excitedly. "I think it'd be a really, really fascinating activity for us."

James listened intently before looking to Sasha, "Well... that sounds really cool - maybe next year we should bring it to whoever we vote as president," He proposed with a bright smile.
