Absolutely astounded... Blown away. Received the best feedback on any writing piece I've ever done and I honestly have no words to express how good it feels to see the work pay off.

"Can't you at least keep it to yourself for a few days? Maybe you could make some friends by tricking people into thinking you were normal, then guilting them into staying your friend after they find out what you are," Owyn suggested venomously.

"I'd really rather not... Wearing a hood is uncomfortable and do you have any idea how sore it makes a tail to be confined for that many hours a day?" Lyra asked, speaking as though she hadn't heard the hatred in her own brother's voice. It was commonplace and by now, his words couldn't hurt her. Being a Faunus wasn't something that shamed her or their father as much as it did Owyn and the rest of the family.

"Then just... Don't embarrass me," He warned as they walked with the throngs of students into the opening courtyard of Beacon Academy. It was so massive... Owyn didn't break stride as his adopted sister fell behind. The last thing he wanted was for his new classmates to see him actually talking to a Faunus. In fact, it was so much so that he hadn't even looked at her when suggesting she hide it before.

Lyra simply shook her head as he walked off, readjusting her bow so that it felt a bit more at-home on her back. Sometimes it was cumbersome to carry, sure, but she didn't like to let it leave her sight. The weight was reassuring and if she didn't have it with her, the quiver on her thigh would just look silly, wouldn't it? Her silvery white tail flicked behind her as her curious eyes drank in all that Beacon had to offer. Large buildings wasn't something that surprised her, but the fact that she was actually here made her all the more excited. The Faunus had always been eager to learn and a hunger for new experiences. Back home it was always "sit up straight," and "chew your food like a lady," and "don't take a bite larger than your fork." Remembering manners was tedious and just gave Owyn another excuse to call her a mongrel. For clothing, she'd decided to dress down a little bit by opting for a simple green top with detached, matching sleeves and skirt. It wasn't exactly cheap clothing, but it wasn't as expensive as what Owyn always wore either.

The swordsman walking away from the Faunus wore a white-and-black long coat with his sword hanging from his hip over top. He had white gloves and a pair of expensive combat boots, the type he'd always trained in. He stood at a perfectly normal six feet, but carried himself as though it were ten. Just by the way he walked one could tell that any breath that wasn't his was a wasteful one, at least in his mind. One hand rested firmly on the hilt of his blade while the other hung at his side.

It wouldn't be long before they'd have to meet at the cliff for Initiation. This was going to make an interesting day for sure.
Feel free to look around. Just another RWBY RP... Can't go wrong there!
Spectre nodded and headed for the stairs. A soft blue glow blocked the threshold; it was quick to dissipate when he scanned his hand on the pad beside and started up the stairs. The security was good, but not top-notch. Ironically, the thief couldn't afford to keep anybody who was a higher level than himself out. At least, not yet. His store wasn't a target for a lot of burglars anyway, let alone his little apartment above it. He opened the door to his "apartment," which was hardly a large living space, and allowed Fracture to step in first. The kitchenette and living space were not separated by more than a little bit of counter space, a door down the hall lead to what was presumably a bedroom and another to what was obviously a bathroom. Apart from that, it was a fairly empty place. Basic accommodations aside, he had a sofa and chair with a coffee table and holo-screen in the parlour. There were windows which provided only a view to the less-than-scenic street below, but it still felt like a home.

It was apparent where his priorities lie, as the walls were lined with images hung up in frames - a non-digital touch that was typically found more in the traditional Mythic's home. Mechanics preferred electronic displays, but Spectre's were all the virtual equivalent of printed images. The frames were still a sleek, silver colour to blend with the home, but it still made it feel more realistic. There was an array of them too, everything from pictures in Mythic cities, featuring him and some unfamiliar faces wearing the clothing that low-level Mythics often would in all sorts of locations. Some were out in the fields or on floating rocks or even by the water. Only a couple were in the Mechanics' cities or training spots, but he wore gradually-improving gear in each one. Some had repeating players with him, some were him alone, and some were faces you only saw once. It wasn't truly important, but it showed that he liked to move around a lot more than the average Mechanic would.

He scratched his cheek at her question and cleared his throat, "Uh... well, I wouldn't say enemies with a faction, no. Maybe some... particular individuals. But they've got bigger fish to fry than some missing trinkets..." He waved his hand dismissively, "Or the deed to a house..." He smirked, "That was a fun day. You ever try to fence a whole house? It's not easy. I tell you what, if that guy ever finds me, I'm in the shit," He laughed, "Sorry for the language. He has no idea who I am, but boy was he pissed at the guy who bought it."

The haughty mechanic shrugged his shoulders, "Nah, nobody's gonna know who I am from a glance in a field. As far as I know, I'm not being hunted either. Of course, I could be wrong, so we'll just be careful. Wanna take a seat? Can I get you anything? I've got... let's see..." The man made his way to the small kitchen and began sifting through the refrigerator. "I've got water... Or... ooh, water... And bread, I think. Nope, no bread," He concluded as he checked a cabinet, "But there's... Nope, nevermind, ate that this morning." He rubbed the back of his neck, "In fairness, I wasn't on that long before we met today, so I haven't been to the store."

He sighed and shook his head, "Anyway... You seem like a Karmic Player; do good things, good things happen? I bet you haven't made a single enemy since you started playing."
Good, but busy. Finally just finished getting my Watch Qualifications done today. Ate lunch... Enjoying a lazy day and finally getting a chance to make my Roleplay rounds. :) Digi/Real was actually up next. Might take a little bit here as I get back into character and stuff, but otherwise I should have it up ASAP.
Siku's face twisted into one of disgust and mockery as she mimicked Katsu, "You'd never survive the life I lived... I'm the Avatar and a scrappy vagabond! Nobody's had a life as tough as mine!" She laughed, grinning at herself before involuntarily releasing a single snort. Her hand instantly covered her mouth as her face turned beet red. "Shut up, I can live without food for a bit... But in case you don't remember, a certain Avatar made us run out of a restaurant in the middle of a meal," She muttered, crossing her arms.

What she didn't expect was his legitimate answer to her question. She was only teasing... he really hadn't even tried, or successfully attempted, the other two elements? The hair on the back of her neck stood up as she felt his arm come in contact with her shoulder. Her lip curled in contempt as he continued to blather away. Her mind echoed back to her the words 'water princess' as soon as he said it.

Water princess... Water princess...

Her brow furrowed gradually... Princess.

The girl crouched quickly, ducking under the Avatar's arm, before taking one decisive step forward and placing her foot into the back of his knee. The soft scraping of metal against sheath sounded as she pulled her blade a mere two inches from its home without drawing it. "You wanna find a better way to phrase that..? Stick possession in front of a reference to me ever again and I'll carry you back to Republic City on a platter myself," She offered, leaning forward with a small growl in her voice. She paused for a moment, just long enough to ensure he wouldn't be able to answer before she pressed her weapon back into the sheath. Siku stepped around him and kept walking as though she hadn't just falsely threatened his life... again. One hand rested cautiously on the hilt of her dao.

"Hm... If I have the cycle correct, Asha, he'll need air bending once he actually learns fire... Maybe you can show him the basics, at least. Of course... to do that, he'd actually have to be a skilled firebender..." She shook her head, "So maybe it'd be better not to clear your calender just yet.

"It's sad really... What kind of Avatar doesn't at least try on their own..? I understand not mastering or even caring to master the elements... but to completely pretend like two of them aren't in your repertoire... Pfft, I'd say that makes it sound like you're more afraid of failure than you are death."
Thanks :) I very much appreciate it.
I graduated :) we can talk about it later, since I'm still quite busy. I should be "back" on Sunday or Monday ish. Then I'll have schedule updates. ^_^

Sorry, Engel! I meant to mention it sooner, but I got really busy and I leave this Wednesday so I figure just consider my hiatus active now and I'll be back in a couple of months. If you'd like to continue, we certainly can :) if not, I do understand the issue.
