Bio

So I figured I would finally give this a little more detail. Name is Sarge or you could just call me Andy if you like I am 24, from the Northern U.S. and I love to role play, almost as much as I love music as you might find out. I have been writing for nearly upward of sixteen years or so and role playing for upwards of at least fourteen of those years. I got my start on the Runescape forums and then did a lot of role playing on here before the site went down and then I went from various sites, private PMs and chats and all that good stuff for awhile and now I am coming on back to my top favorite site to role play. I enjoy all genres for the most part, I thrive in Supernatural, Horror, Action, Mystery and Scifi and I dabble in romance and I think I am good but who knows on that one :P. My usual roles if I can play them are being the villain, I love complexity and heavy back stories and villains usually have them as there are not many antagonists in a story who do it purely for the love of chaos... not naming any names... The Joker.

What else, what else, maybe a little bit about me for anyone who is curious. I am quite easy to get along with, I am about that no drama life and just chilling as apposed to whacking out my blood pressure with pointless fighting. I am a really nice dude and I love comedy, it is a spice of life and a way of living for me. I am quite patient, even legendary in it I guess seeming I can wait forever if need be and I am not easily agitated. But that doesn't take away from when I am agitated, I don't like to be so when I am I can become quite vocal but not to a point of cruelty but just enough to resolve the issue at hand. I am an old school kind of person, the last of early nineties babies I guess mixed with a perfect amount of the current age. I just enjoy life and do what I love to do regardless of the complicated path iv lead.

"You wanted to talk to me Robert? What did you need, were starting to load the equipment and I want to make sure those idiots bolt them down this time."

Eddy was silent as he stood there with his arms crossed, the sudden meeting with Robert so close to shipping off was a bit weird honestly, and it was also at the same time not the time for them to be talking as he needed to ensure nothing went wrong with the loading of their equipment. However Eddy could tell Robert had something really important to say, he could see the lines on his forehead squinting up which usually meant they had something they needed to get off their chest and or something the other person wasn't going to like hearing.

"Yes I did, I know the timing is a bit close to shoving off but its important. I know you have set your mind on going to the island, but I am here one last time to try and persuade you not to go. I understand your reasons why you want to go, why you feel the need to go. But Eddy try to understand that risking your life isn't worth it, and that is what you will doing if you go to this island. We can plan, we can come up with ideas and we can mark a map until were sure nothing will go wrong... but things will go wrong Eddy and when they do people are going to die. You have a son who loves you, are you really so set on possibly making him grow up without a mother and even a father?"

Eddy tightened his hands that were crossed on each shoulder, this was really the last thing he needed right now, someone else telling him that he was making a bad choice. Sure it was okay for his father to run off and die on some heroic venture and leave him and his mother here with the pain but it was a sin for him to try and make a better life for his own kid. His whole life he lived in a state of perpetual safety, he made all the right choice, did what was best for himself and by his family and what did he get out of it? He was broke, his son was going to starve and his mother was on her last legs and would soon need him to take care of her. Everything... it all hinged on him and this was the one opportunity to make things right and everyone criticized him for it.

"This is my life Robert and I will do with it as I please. You speak as if I am a helpless little child going to a place where I will get lost and need to be rescued. I am not a child and I can make my own decisions, my father he made his decisions and because of it we all suffered. When he died he left us nothing, there was no money, barely anything to live on, I even had to give up my final years of college because mother is sick and had been for years, to help support her. This is the one time where I can change things, the money can change things for all of us. I made my choice and I will be better then my father was Robert I was go off on some ridiculous hero quest and leave everyone I care about to suffer."

Eddy spoke harshly to Robert, he loved his father but because he went off and tried to be a hero they were off left to suffer for it and he couldn't forgive him for that. He couldn't just simply keep going forward and then getting thrown ten steps back, he needed to do what his dad couldn't do in the end and support the ones he loved. An Robert seemed to be one of the people who was trying to push him back those ten steps and it made him angry.

"There are a lot of things I don't understand Eddy, and many more things I wish I didn't understand, but there is one thing I can say without doubt in my mind and that is you shouldn't be so quick to think your father left you for some heroic conquest. There are things you don't understand Eddy, things that in time you will come to see, I am not treating you like a child I am trying to save your life. If you understand this or not, money is useless if your not alive to receive it, life is hard and harder sometimes for others. But risking everything for a quick dollar is a fools gamble.

"An what do you know about my father Robert?!? You speak as if you knew him, as if you know something that I was not allowed to know! You wouldn't understand, you have your father and you have money and a damn lot of it! You don't even know what its like to grow up without food, water, or a home and nothing about losing your father! Yet you speak to me like you know not only what it feels like but if you know my father himself and I will not stand for that! Do you hear me!?"

Eddy was seething at the teeth but the sudden pinch in his chest widened his eye's as he saw a tranquilizer dart sticking out of his chest. Looking back up his eye's became a bit hazy and he saw doubles of Robert with a pistol in his hand, Eddy fell to his knee's heavily as his breathing became a bit labored. He heard the footsteps as they seemed to echo in his ears, feeling a twinge in his chest he could feel the needle leave his skin as Robert stood above him.

"I didn't know your father Eddy that is true, but I do know how he died and he was a hero, and he didn't do it because of some some kind heroic honor or for some adventure but he did it was his family. I can understand your anger towards him, but your wrong about him and your wrong about me. Iv known the pain of loss and even now I am still suffering it, and soon beyond this island and this assignment I will suffer the loss of pain again and this time I don't know if I will be able to bare it. But I do know that I wont you let you suffer the same end as your father did, not while I can breath. You may not see it but I am trying to look out for you and your son, you may hate me after this is said and done but in time I hope you see I am doing this because I don't want to see you hurt or worse. Sleep Eddy and when you wake up it will be done."

Eddy felt his head spinning as the trailer came back into view, his entire world seemed to be moving all around his eye's as he heard the loud growl of the animal outside. His heart pounded in his chest hard as he felt the warmth that seethed down his pants as the large head looked above the trailer, the horror of it all was clutching at his chest like sharpened claws ripping away at his chest. He looked at Maddie as there was terror in her eye's too, he wanted to try and go and help but his body was frozen, he looked to his right seeing the smashed windshield nearby and then to Maddie. The animal above them was still distracted and it would give him the time to away while it was concentrated on Maddie and Maxwell. Eddy felt a tear roll down his cheek as he made his decision, he could not die here even if it meant leaving Maddie to her fate with Maxwell. Climbing up he sneaked out the broken windshield not looking back, letting himself fall to the ground he quickly went around the RV while the animal trying to release metal from its gaping mouth and quickly made his way to the car where Robert was.

Robert looked on in horror as the Rex attacked the RV he barely noticed EJ come up beside him as the beast of a predator dipped its head back into the wreck of the RV and hit what it was looking for. The Rex's head popped back out as he saw for the briefest of moments the lower half of a person and the blood dripping down its jaw. His heart sank as he could not tell who it had been that the Rex had caught, all he knew was that he had to do something but what could he do? He had no guns and nothing that could stop that monstrosity from having its way.

"We gotta go Robert, come on we gotta get out of here!"

Robert heard the voice as his head shot left to see Eddy beside him, blood was drizzling from a shallow wound in his head, Robert stood up as he released JC who looked terrified of the beast in front of him. Even he could see that this dinosaur was dangerous and intended to kill them all, quickly clinging to his father he was already shaking as EJ wasted no time getting him into the back of the car.

"Robert get in there is nothing we can do, Maddie is dead! We have to save ourselves!"

Robert looked at EJ as he then looked at the trailer, he heard a loud bang echo off its metal interior as the Rex launched its head back, for a moment Robert saw its eye was missing from its skull, ripped away by his gun no doubt, someone was still alive in that trailer and he couldn't leave them there. Robert looked back at the car and then back to the trailer, he couldn't leave them he just can't if he left they it meant certain death and that something he couldn't live with. Robert felt the hand on his shoulder as it tried to guide him to the car he but he raised his own hands and pushed EJ away from him defiantly.

"No I won't I am not leaving, I will not leave who is ever left inside that trailer to die a horrible death... we need to help them EJ, somehow someway."

"I can't Robert, I can't, my son comes first and if its between him and Maddie or Maxwell or even you I will pick him every time."

Robert watched helplessly as EJ got into the driver side seat and quickly started the energy powered vehicle. Before he could even try to convince EJ to stay the car back away fast and headed for the jungle, Robert turned his head back as the Rex was now enraged having been hurt and viciously attacked the trailer even more, intent on securing this area once and for all. When Robert heard the chipper voice he thought he was imagining things, when a sack seemed to fly down to his feet out of nowhere he scanned the area quickly but spotted no one. Reaching down he grabbed the pack and saw what it contained, pulling out the flare gun he quickly proceeded to load in one of the two shots, this just might be enough to save whoever was left inside that trailer if he could play his cards right. Robert grabbed the extra larger flared and shoved them in his pocket and dropped the sack as he ran from the spot towards the Rex, he ran to the side where its good eye was and yelled as loud as he could waving his arms:

"HEY YOU!!!! OVER HERE!!!!"

The Rex was too enraged to notice him as it crushed the trailer with his foot, Robert raised the flare gun and took aim, pulling the trigger the flare shot out like a firework and smacked the Rex right in the side of the head. The Rex clearly feeling the impact turned to face Robert as he could feel his heart beating right out of his chest.

"COME ON YOUR BIG BITCH! COME GET ME!"

Robert loaded the second and last shot into the flare gun as the Rex gave off a roar that chilled him to the very bone and turned to him in all its terrifying glory. He could feel the ground shake beneath his feet as it walked towards him, intent on killing him in one blow. Robert aimed the loaded flare gun, if he missed it was over and they were both dead. He would not run, he had to save Maddie, he knew she had to be the one who was alive and he wouldn't let her face this alone, even if it meant they would both die he had to try. Closing one of his eye's Robert felt the wind on his ear, holding his breath he aimed in the direction of the wind pulling the trigger.

The second flare went active from the pipe of the gun and closed the distance striking the Rex right in its good eye. The Rex gave off a shrill scream its sight now temporarily blinded from the bright flare. Its lunged back its tiny arms trying and flailing towards its face but to no avail it turned from him and stumbled across the field in a rage as it smacked a tree trying to move its head against the thick bark, to try and soothe the mysterious burn on it. Robert dropped the flare gun and ran the rest of the short distance to the trailer, he climbed it rather shakily as he got on top of it where the huge hole currently was.

"Maddie! I know your there, it has to be you, give me the tranquilizer gun, quickly before it can see again!"

Robert leaned into the darkened RV and grabbed the tranquilizer gun from a really shook up Maddie, looking down for the briefest of moments he saw Maxwell, or at least what was left of her. Robert couldn't help but feel a slight pity in his stomach for her but there was no time for tears now. Lifting himself back up he located the Rex as he loaded the dart into the chamber and took aim. He had to strike it in the neck otherwise the tranq would not knock it out fast enough to save them. Robert got down on one knee and raised the rifle to his eye's and held her steady in his arms, he had one shot to get this right, the Rex was flailing around knocking down near by weaker tree's.

Holding his breath one last time Robert aimed in the direction of the Rex trying his best to account for the wind strength and pulled the trigger, the rifle bucked in his hands as the dart left the chamber and then the tube and sailed across the clearing and struck the Rex right in the side of the neck. The dinosaur gave of a fierce roar as it no doubt felt the prick in its neck. It reared back on its legs and turned to the trailer roaring loudly and angrily and it charged. Robert tried to move but it was too close, the entire trailer rocked hard as the Rex ran into it, he was launched backwards smacking the metal sickly before rolling off the side smashing into the softer dirt below. Robert crumbled on the ground as he felt a sick pain in his shoulder, the impact had popped his joint out of place, he screamed in pain as he tried to get up but slammed the dirt as his arm gave away. The Rex growled as it came around the trailer right towards Robert he quickly back away with whatever strength he could muster pushing his legs, but there was no running now. It was over he failed, Robert prepared for the inevitable death that was coming but at the last moment when the Rex meant to close the distance it suddenly stopped as its body fell forward and it smacked the ground chin fist. It twitched a couple times but other then that its movements became still as the tranq took its hold pulling it into an unconscious stupor. Robert let himself fall backwards as he smacked the ground with his back letting his breath escape his mouth and nose for the first time in the last many seconds.
Posting soon ^^ let the mayhem continue
Robert heard the faint call realizing that someone was indeed in there and wounded, she sounded pretty weak but this was more then enough to break Maddie out of her stupor of fear that the roar had caused and she jumped into action, this was after all more her area of expertise then his own. The transition itself from gripped fear of the unknown into complete commando mode was honestly in its entirety a pretty... well a pretty attractive thing to him even for reasons he had no idea why. He had spent far too many a years escorting those same rich patrons he had shared about in his story with Maddie on the boat, none of them and he meant none of them were willing even for a second in the face of overwhelming danger to take any kind of charge. Most people who came from money were bored with their lives, they craved that adventure that they were always too afraid to pursue. Robert was not really what you could consider a tour guide or someone who got payed regularly to take people out into the wilderness... however there were some special cases where he was recommended as the best candidate as his father was not one for catering to the wealthy. It was money he didn't really need given their success in hunting but in the waning years leading up to the incident Robert found himself so restless for reasons he couldn't quite understand.

There was a harsh truth to face as a hunter, the challenges run out far too quickly, there just aren't enough escapes when your really good at something dangerous. You find yourself craving adventure no matter what form it takes, Robert had been on more then one rescue mission in Mombasa. Theres always villagers around the more dangerous areas who wondered too far off and got hurt either by the terrain or a predator found them. Most cases were easy to resolve if it was with a body or just a scared person hiding in a small cave somewhere in the rock, but even that wasn't enough and it seemed the longer that he saw death and saw the fear the more he just became so used to it, so cold to it and by the time of the incident he felt like nothing could really phase him or hurt him. But life often does have those rare defining moments when you realize that no matter how hard you become to the world you live in, there will always be one thing or another that brings you back to the truth. The truth that there is no one person man or woman who is completely unfeeling to the world around them. Its a feeling of both relief that you can feel again and also a feeling of sorrow knowing that you have to live with the unfairness of it all.

T-rex closing in

The roar was almost shocking as Robert snapped back into reality, he criticized himself for falling into such a moment of memory stupor, EJ was quick as he passed by with what appeared to be a medical pack in his hands. Robert himself quickly jumped up effortlessly into the window and let himself drop into the RV quickly as he located where Maddie was, the woman who had called out was pinned underneath a large cabinet and almost immediately that was not a good sign. Robert was not a medical professional but he knew the consequences of something heavy laying on your body and cutting off the blood to whatever it was crushing and this could lead to death once the item was removed or maybe worse depending on the situation. He was rather hesitant to remove it but Maddie was adamant that he do move it, and regardless of his own personal feelings he also had to trust that she was making the right judgement as she would him the threat looming over them withheld in the decision.

Robert moved beside Maddie as he set his rifle aside and gripped the cabinet with both hands, it was a very large metal cabinet which wasn't making him feel any better about this. Looking at Maddie he mouthed 1...2...3! Robert lifted as the weight of the cabinet strained against his muscles, he grunted hard as he pulled the cabinet up, the woman underneath it almost immediately screamed, Maddie wasted no time in pulling her out as Robert held the heavy ass item in his hands. It didn't take long to clear her from underneath as Robert slowly lowered the cabinet back to the ground. Robert bent down as he turned around, the woman's legs was mangled badly from the break, it was obvious through even her pants.

"Maddie the animal coming here, its a T-rex I would know the roar anywhere in the world and its closing in. It must have smelled the smoke, something so foreign would almost immediately bring it here, especially if it feel its needed to protect this entire area which is very likely at this point. In her condition we can't get her out of here in time, we don't have the time and her screams would only bring the T-rex in faster. I'm not saying to leave her here to die before you jump to conclusions but we have to wait out the Rexes arrival and departure. Were concealed in here if we can keep quiet and not draw attention to ourselves it might just leave having checked the area. Understand though if it gets even the smallest notion something alive is here it will attack without hesitation she has to stay quiet."

Robert quickly jumped up as he began rummaging through the trailer very quickly going through over turned cabinets that would open as he searched for something, when he came upon a large flash that was unbroken and capped he looked at the label.

"Oh you got to be kidding me... it will have to do."

Robert quickly crossed back the trailer and came up to Maddie and EJ removing the cap on the flash the trailer was hit with a god awful stench that would make Mayweathers eye's water. Robert was quick as he splashed the vile substance on himself, Maddie, EJ and the woman on the ground.

"Robert, what the hell that stuff stinks to high hell are you crazy!? What is that!?"

Quiet! If you don't want to die to razor sharp teeth then you need to trust me. This is T-rex pee I am sorry to say, but we have to mask our scents, its going to search for the source of the smoke and trust me these animals have an amazing sense of smell so it will drawn right to us. We need to mask our scents otherwise its going to sniff us out and once it does that were screwed so your just going to have to grit your teeth and bare it for now. Wait a minute... wheres JC?"

Robert looked around wildly for the young boy having realized it was way too quiet, he wasn't in the car... by himself... no... Robert launched off the ground as EJ suddenly realized what Roberts panic was about, JC was still in the damn car! Robert was fast as he launched himself up over the ledge leading to the windshield. EJ tried to start climbing but Robert quickly stopped him:

"Stay here and help Maddie keep the woman quiet EJ, I don't have time to argue this I will see to CJ, no matter what happens you stay the hell in here EJ or I promise you if we live through this I will break both of your legs."

EJ's face contorted in a rage and worry only a father could find the face to combine them in, but the looming threat Robert placed on him made him think twice of disobeying, father or not he knew Robert was more then capable of keeping his word either protecting JC or breaking his legs. It was already too late for Robert to notice he had not grabbed his rifle but spilt milk wasn't going to help now as he launched across the field at full speed like a gazelle trying to outrun a lion. JC was already standing outside the car looking around, that roar twice no doubt drawing his attention to the really cool dinosaur. Robert quickly slid the ground as he grabbed JC with the intent to quickly get him back to the trailer as fast as possible but when he felt the impact tremor it was beyond too late to cover the distance. Robert quickly took the flask and poured the rest of it all over JC, the boy quickly took on a disgusted face as he went to say something but Robert grabbed him from behind and quickly put his hand over his mouth which was probably disgusting as hell given the rex pee on it and bent down beside the car. He heard the unmistakable growl as the Rex's impact tremor hit him even harder and before long the worlds scariest predator to ever live appeared on the edge of the clearing.

Robert looked at Maddie silently almost as if he was trying to figure something out about her, something that he wanted to know but couldn't figure out the answer to. He didn't like her proposal given the situation he was facing, knowing that somewhere on this island there was someone he needed to find and that they were in more danger then they knew. But what were his real choices at this point? He had already absolved himself to not being able to abandon them, and even if he couldn't trust them he had to work with them because if there was one thing that he knew for sure it was that JC was not a part of it. That kid was an innocent bystander in the middle of something he did not understand and to leave him to possible harm if not death was something he could not bare to be responsible for. This whole situation was bad, and even worse there was no telling who it was going to be that tried to turn on him in the end. Damn them corporate bastards, even from miles away they still controlled this game and there was nothing he could do to get ahead of it.

"Fine I can accept that so long as you don't put the lives of those scientists above what I am here for, I know its not important to you an not knowing what it is makes it even harder. But there is more then one life at stake here for me, its important that I find what I am looking for an I have to do it before its too late. For now we will follow the set path I layed out before we left, it is the best chance at finding the missing scientists. We have one confirmed dead at this point, and another possibly somewhere around this area, considering what just happened I am not counting on that one being alive either at this point. Its too dangerous to go searching in this area right now so if there is no objections we should proceed to the base camp down the trail."

Robert looked up when he heard JC's voice from down the road he was pointing at something Robert looked up into the sky as he and Maddie both spotted the black smoke in the sky. Robert reached into his jacket pocket and removed a set of small binoculars and raised them to his eye's as he viewed the smoke. That was coming from in the direction of the base camp and it had not been there before, he had caught wind of a burning odor faint as it was but this definitely confirmed it.

"Doesn't take an expert to tell you that natural fires on an island like this are not natural occurrences if at all, which means someone set this fire, that or something electrical started it. Its coming from the direction of the last know encampment of the scientists so we need to get over there. However I am warning you to not walk blindly when we get there, there is more going on here then I originally thought, something or someone has thrown off the balance of this island, animals that have very strict territories are finding themselves where they are not usually known to frequent. This is worrying because we won't be able to avoid the bigger predators if we don't know where they are, so stay alert."

Robert replaced the binoculars back in his jacket pocket and shouldered his rifle he made his way back to the vehicle where EJ was glaring at JC who was now looking like he was ashamed of something. Robert did not want to know what they had been talking about while him and Maddie were down the road, but at this point it didn't matter, opening the drivers side door he motioned for EJ to move over, he complied but the look he gave Robert said that there was something he wanted to say but was opting not to say it at this point. Robert started the car as Maddie returned and speed off down the trail, the ride was short as they were not too far from the camp to begin with but the obvious tension was mounted and ready to shoot off at any moment so when they arrived into a medium sized clearing Robert was relieved but that was very short lived when he saw the devastation left in their wake. Robert slowly climbed out of the car and looked around, the entire camp was in chaos, tents and mobile stations were completely destroyed and trampled, the entire area was filled with large footprints that cut deep into the dried mud. Scattered cloths, papers, broken equipment, it was everywhere like a bomb had been set off in the area. The only real thing this scene lacks was the scientists or theirs bodies thereof.

"Jesus what the hell happened here...?"

EJ spoke more to himself as he found himself looking around the area, he too got out of the car trying to no doubt piece together the string of events which could have lead to this kind of devastation. This was not normal, this looked like a damn stampede, the question was what caused it? Off in the distance a small stones throw away there was an overturned trailer and alas the source of the smoke as it billowed out of the broken windows. Robert pulled the tranquilizer rifle and handed it over to Maddie as he pulled the Nitro and took it into his own hands. It was sudden though when an loud and bone chilling roar echoed across the jungle somewhere and hit their ears. Robert turned quickly in the the direction of the roar expecting to see what had caused it but knowing it was quite far off from their position.

"We have to move... now. That was not close enough to warrant any real threat but I would rather not stay out in the open here any longer then I have to. EJ stay in the car with JC and make sure he does not leave it, Maddie with me, keep your eyes and ears open and if you see or hear any kind of impact tremor then we need to leave immediately no questions asked. There will not be any other warning before you see something you don't want to see."

Robert moved expecting his orders to be followed, there was no question that he was now extremely tense, that roar belonged to the very last animal on this whole island he wanted to see in person. Keeping his rifle trained ahead of him he looked left and ride periodically, the area was a hum with insect and bird activity which was a fairly good sign that they were a bit safer but after the incident with the dead scientist he was not taking anymore chances. Robert approached the trailer from the front quietly, the doors were all inaccessible but the front windshield was smashed providing a way in at least. Whatever did this was very big and very pissed, animal attacks were usually not as violent as people made them out to be. Usually they were concentrated on whatever was agitating the animal but from the degree of tracks on the ground and the various sides and the trampled areas this was more then just one animal and it seemed that the entire camp was the target. If he didn't know any better then he would say that whatever animals did this were looking for something, that or they found it, either way it only made their job here that much harder.

"Hello is anyone in there?"

Robert made the call into the trailer and waited for a response, that trailer was big enough to house medium size predators and he was not intent on hopping in there regardless until he heard otherwise.
Robert heard her words from behind him, her anger and he kept on walking trying not to care, desperately trying to just walk away for once and walk his own road from here on out. So many times in his life he sacrificed everything for others and this time it was his life that was going to change, change in ways he couldn't stomach, he couldn't stay and help them, he would not because he had to do right by his own family now and that meant he would do anything to make right the wrongs that he now faced. It was when her anger turned into a tone of pleading to him that he stopped walking down the road, his back was still turned to her as he listened to her final words towards him. He lowered his head down slightly as he looked at the gun in his hands, a few tears slipped down from his eye's, why... why did everything always go so wrong in his life? Robert looked at the faded polished wood of the rifle as for the briefest of moments he could see his fathers face reflecting upon it like a mirror image. It was his rifle that he carried in his hands now, the same rifle that his father treasured, almost all of Roberts memories involved this very rifle.

14 Years Prior

Robert lay quietly in the hospital bed, most of his upper body was covered in a white bandage, he shook like he was really cold, the moment that had brought him here fresh in his mind. They had been hunting, hunting a lion, his dad him and Uncle Ajay and they had been so close. But Robert had screwed up, he had alerted the lion to their location and it had attacked. All he could see was a lion the size of a buffalo turn on him and in one fell swoop its large paw struck him straight across the chest, its razor sharp claws tearing him open. He was on the ground, he could feel his blood dripping from the wounds and down his sides as his heart raced at the pain, he could remember seeing the lion approaching him, intent to finish him off, and in that moment before it would reach him his Uncle Ajay jumped in between the lion and him and blocked him off the death blow. The lion attacked him uncle instead of him, the horror of seeing that lion jump on his uncle and pin him to the ground ready to give the killing blow was burning in his head. It had all been so fast yet the loud kapow that echoed across the barren landscape signaled the end of the lions life. The animal fell sideways, the gaping hole where its chest used to be clearly visible even through the tears as Robert would then pass out and wake up in the hospital.

Robert looked up painfully as the wooden door slid sideways and his uncle walked in, aside from some bandages covering heavily minor wounds he looked rather happy a smile on his face. He walked up and took the chair beside the bed as he pulled him arm from behind his back revealing a necklace with what appeared to be a set of large fangs on hand crafted braided leather strips. Robert looked at it but turned his head as he didn't accept it. His uncle spoke in his lightly accented voice:

"What is wrong my young meerkat? It is not like you to deny a gift, come now tell me what it is on your mind."

Robert stayed silent as he didn't look back, he didn't even know what to say, because of his stupid mistake not only had he been badly wounded but his uncle nearly die too. If it had not been his dad shooting the lion uncle Ajay would have surely died and it would have been all his fault. Robert felt a warm hand on the top of his head, he felt his head move with the hand as he was confronted with his uncles smile, it completely dumbfounded Robert how he could be so happy knowing that he had almost died because the boy in front of him was stupid.

"I know that look young one, oh yes I once had that same look in my eye's when I messed up on a hunt and my father was hurt because of it. You know I could barely look at him when he walked in to see me, he had to turn my head too so that I could see the smile on his face. I don't think your so scared because of that lion but because you are thinking that it was all your fault, yes?"

"It was my fault, how could it not be? I stepped on that stick and I made that noise and it attacked us. Its my fault you almost..."

Robert felt a finger go onto his lips and this was his uncles way of shushing him, Robert felt the tears start to well up in the corner of his eye's but he fought them, crying never solved anything.

"Let me ask you this, if I had been the one to step on that stick and it attacked us because of my mistake what do you think that you would do, what would you say to me? Would you blame me or would you forgive me?"

"I wouldn't be mad at you, id never blame you, you know I would forgive you... but..."

Robert felt the finger on his lips again shushing him as his uncle smiled and looked into his eyes with that knowing look.

"But nothing young one, there is no double standard here, I do not blame you Robert, hunters take certain risks when they go after dangerous animals. All through history hunters have had triumphs and they have had failures and some even died. Even the most accomplished of hunters make mistakes, but you, your but a young boy trying to learn a dangerous tradition in your family and such mistakes are unavoidable. Remember Robert there is no shame in the animal winning, you survived even though you lost, its not about whose to blame but its about healing and getting back out there and trying again."

"But I only survive because of you and dad! I didn't survive on my own, you almost died because of me! I am not meant to be a hunter, I have no talent."

Robert could not contain his tears any longer as the strong emotion overwhelmed him and he just let himself cry letting go of the bravado, the strong front he was trying to hold. Robert felt firm hands on his shoulders as his uncle hugged him gently trying to cal him, speaking to him.

"You did survive today because of me and your father that is true, but Robert being a great hunter is not just about working alone, life is very much the same way, you need people and people need you. I would jump in front of that lion ten times over for you and do you know why? Not just because your my god son or I am your uncle but because as adults it is our duty to protect that which matters most, and that is you because the children of this world are the future that we strive to make better. Fathers and brothers, sisters, mother, we are all responsible in our own ways to guide and protect you no matter what. An one day you too will be an adult and it will be your turn to protect that which matters most and you will do what I did today, maybe not in the same way but if you truly feel you need to take blame then promise me this, when the day comes a child needs you like you needed me and your father, you won't turn your back on them. Yes?"

Robert nodded his approval to the promise as his uncle smiled again and took the hand made necklace laying it beside him on the nearby night table.

Robert reached up silently as he pulled back his shirt and let his hand feel the weather leather necklace around his neck, clutching it in his hand he remembered the promise he had made back then. But it was more then that, people need you and you need people, had he truly fallen so low as to consider leaving not only JC but Maddie and EJ to a terrible fate that he could help them avoid? He had spent so much time the last passing hours trying so hard to make Biosyn and Ingen look like monsters and he was acting like one himself in his own way. Robert sighed heavily knowing that his actions, they were unforgivable, and no matter the circumstances he was facing there was no excuse he was raised to be so much better then this. He had to make this right or at least attempt to, he couldn't just let things continue to spiral out of control knowing he could stop it. Robert wiped the stray tear drops from his face and turned around walking back to Maddie, he approached her and stop a couple short feet away, speaking:

"I would care if you died even if I tried my hardest to make myself believe I wouldn't, tried my hardest to walk away and pursue my own goals instead of trying to help you. I won't offer excuses for my behavior because I don't even deserve that at this point, but I want you understand something Maddie. This isn't about taking down Biosyn or Ingen, I hate them both I truly do but I am not here for them. I can't... I can't tell you yet why I am here and why Iv acted so horribly. All I can do for now is say I am sorry and I don't expect forgiveness. My uncle told me a long time ago that I need to trust people, ever since he disappeared I haven't been able to do that but we can't survive as a team if we can't trust so, this is not my first time on this island, I was here six months ago. I can't tell you yet why but its a start towards what I hope can be trust. If you can resist giving me the punch to the face I deserve I promise to be forth coming from here on out, no lies, no devious plots, no shooting you with tranq darts, what do you think? Can we be a team?"

Robert offered his hand as an olive branch but he honestly did not know if it was beyond too late for that, it was now in Maddies hand if she could move forward from all of this.

"You know what I am sick of Maddie? I'm sick and tired of you throwing accusations at me and its only been five minutes, I am not self righteous and I am not a kidnapper and I am not and I repeat I am not some heartless monster bent on sacrificing life for some misguided attempt at revenge. You feel free to hate me because you know what it doesn't matter in the end, because when this is finally over you will never see me again. You will go back to saving people and whatever family you have, EJ and JC go back to engineering vehicles and living their happy father son life, and I will go..."

Roberts sentence had started out with him being rather heated, his face was close to Maddies, but the fight inside for one reason or another noticeably drained from his face as he stopped short of finishing his sentence. He backed away as his face shifted into the face of one who had just remembered something that they had forgotten about. Robert swallowed a bit harder then intended as he shook his head at something and composed himself finishing his sentence.

"home to nothing... nothing that matters to any of you. I am just the fucking villain anyways after all, so who cares? So just leave me alone Maddie, your grown adults so start acting like it. You took this assignment without asking questions, you blindly forged ahead without looking to see whats in front of your eyes, you disregarded my words thinking it couldn't be as bad as I made it out to be. You know what happens when hunters do that? They die horrible deaths, walking into the unknown without any regard for the road ahead is suicide. I am glad your starting to see that now but its a bit too late.

Robert fisted his hand unknowingly as his fingers cracked under the tightness he was exerting on his fingers. He didn't seem to really be there anymore, at least not on the island when you looked at his face. Pulling the Nitro off his back he pushed his way around Maddie and continued walking down the road.

"I am going to grab my car you can follow me if you want, but EJ and JC are even worse off then you seeming they have no training at all so you would be leaving them to die. So I think its time you start asking yourself if its more important to protect them or convince me to stay. But we both know what your going to do so, goodbye Maddie.

Robert rubbed his eye's silently as they drove, aside from the attack on his and JC's life from one of the worst predators man would never want to see up close they were both intact and unharmed. So in all reality that was a good day in the book of a hunter, however... the day was about to go from an escape well done to a shit show in the middle of New Years in New York Square between two drunk people who just found out their girlfriend is with the other and double playing them. To realize that both EJ and Maddie were here on the island with him somehow was not as shocking as it might have been, in truth he did not make it a habit to tranquilize people who were suppose to be working with him. But he had a real bad feeling that neither EJ or Maddie were going to see it like that and he was not quite prepared to fault them on that. It was obvious that humans were a bit more resourceful then common animals and or even the smarter animals, a fact well noted now as the car slowly came to a stop. It was silent for a moment when everything calmed down but it really wasn't going to last long that was for damn sure, the tension indicated that much. Maddie was the first to lay into him, she flung questions and accusations left and to the right as Robert shook his head, he grabbed the door handle and pushed it open. Putting his hat on his head he walked to the passenger side and looked at Maddie through the window.

"You understand nothing Maddie, and its just better that you don't. But for the record this mission was fucked the moment we got it so don't put that on my head, your just too stupid and fool hearty to realize it, your nothing more then a sacrificial pawn in a game you don't know the rules to. I tried to remove you from the board, tried to keep you safe and away from this hell. I take responsibility for the things I do and I accept it, but I won't apologize for tranquilizing you because compared to getting eaten while you weakly die on the ground, seeing your intestines ripped out of..."

Robert went silent as he looked in the backseat at JC whom was listening to the conversation the flash bang having finally fully wore off. Reaching into his pocket he removed the tarnished leather wallet and tossed it through the window onto Maddie's lap.

" Maybe you should ask JC yourself why he snuck himself on the island, I hardly call him popping up in the backseat of my car when he is not even suppose to be here kidnapping. But if I am such a terrible person in your eye's then why did I even bother to protect him at all?"

Robert leaned in a bit closer and looked Maddie in the eye's an spoke in sort of a lower voice:

"You think this is about a vendetta? You truly think that I would weigh the lives of innocent people on some kind of revenge? Take JC and yourselves and leave the island... your nothing more then mice being hunted by a cat. I didn't need your help then and I don't need it now. I have nothing more to say Maddie, go home and someday have a perfect family somewhere and grow old in some guys arms, I dont care what you do."

Robert was cold as he placed his hat on his head and walked away from the passenger side window and started back down the trail to get to his abandoned vehicle, he hoped the Velociraptor had not wrecked it, but he was guessing not because whatever it wanted was more important then some foreign object in its home.

Tiberius or Tiber has what most would consider a rather piqued curiosity about him, he has an infinity for trying to figure things out which leads to his love for puzzles or anything that involves thinking outside the box. At the same time this curiosity more often then not gets him into sticky situations. He is at heart a very sweet and intelligent kid although most times this can get overshadowed by his silence on the outside. He is not the biggest of talkers, some mistake this for being shy but even at a young age he is guarded for he is no stranger to how mean the world he lives in can be. He does not make friends as easily as others might but he is a caring soul and will be there for you if you need him and he would always be loyal to you as long as you are to him.

Tiberius was born to his mother and father whom were both Aurors for the Ministry on June 30th 1999 in a small little village outside of London. He does not however know really who they were as both of them died almost a year later under circumstances in which he is none the wiser to. After his parents death Tiber went to live with his grandmother whom took him in and cared for him like he was her own son. Tibers life up until now is not what one would call all that interesting in respects, he grew up in a small out of the way village very much like the one he was born in. Most of his days were spent either reading or roaming around his village and its outskirts looking for adventure as he did not have any friends. Content on keeping him far from the fate that had stolen both of Tibers parents his grandmother kept him fairly close and taught him all the basic things he needed to know as he grew. When his letter of acceptance arrived his grandmother was hesitant to let him go, but beyond her own personal reasons for this they both went to Diagon Alley where Tiber would start his path, towards what he did not know, but it was a brand new world and adventure for him and he was eager to meet it.
Robert was silent as he kneeled on the ground next to the open door of the car beside him, it had not been too long after he had gotten back to driving did he stop again. He was a stones throw from the main camp the scientists had been residing in when he had by small chance noticed something on the ground, reaching forward he picked it up, it was an article of clothing, torn it seemed from a larger piece. It had jagged edges and there was traces of dried blood around the jagged mark where it was ripped off. Moving forward silently still bent to the ground he looked at the marking of the dirt silently, the piece of clothing was not fresh and the trail before him was littered with impressions of various markings, most of them being animal tracks. Robert put his hand to his chin silently, it was weird that this trail was so littered with animal prints, this was outside of the game trail, the animals on the island were fiercely territorial so they were secluded to certain area's of the island, but these footprints were of various different species. If he was correct in his thinking the images given to him pertaining to locations of the various species on the island was useless, something had changed and from the looks of it, the change had not been too far off from now. Robert moved forward slowly down the trampled dirt path and followed the prints. The fauna surrounding the dirt trail was trampled and broken in various places. The animals that went through here were large, at least of a medium build, but why didn't he see any animals out here?

It was horribly quiet around him, something he did not like at all, getting a closer glimpse at the trampled ground he slowly pieced together what he thought was the chain of events. From the various foot prints, he would guess that two people had been running down this road at one point, they were panicked, something was following them and it was large, at least a couple tons from the deep indentations in the dirt. The broken fauna around supported the theory of a larger animal, looking up the branches in the trees were also broken in various places. Robert kept moving his way forward on the trail, images played him his head like shots of a movie, it had been raining when it happened, tracing his fingers through the hardened dirt there was a skid mark deep within the mud, the mud had dried in the shape of a human torso. They were then pulled back up and continued to run, he could almost hear their heavy desperate breathing, following a little further the tracks ended on the road, near the ending of the footprints some of the nearby branches were broken, hanging off the plants, and it had been somewhat recently trampled down. They went off the trail and into the jungle, looking back at the footprints two sets each in opposite directions, they were trying to split up, or at least maybe draw the attention away from one or the other for whatever reason.

”Whatcha doing Mr. Temboo you been looking at the ground for a long time I am getting bored.”

Robert motioned his hand for JC to come forward, the boy complied as Robert put a gentle hand on his back and pressed a little signifying he wanted him to kneel down.

”In the hunters world this is called Tracking, its a unique ability that is honed over a course of many years, very hard to master. You see the tracks, they are faded but still there, from these tracks alone along with several other small defining markings...”

Robert went silent seeing the confusing what the heck are you talking about in JC's eye's, he forgot that JC was not exactly at an age where he would fully understand what Tracking was. Thinking about it for a second he tried another way of explaining it.

”Think of Tracking like a game of hide and seek outside your house. Your the seeker and you have to find your friend after counting to ten. You don't know where they are but you notice some foot prints in some nearby mud telling you that they went in that direction. Now by following those footprints they lead you to your friend and you win. Tracking is the same concept except instead of pointing in a direction it also tells a story. An if your really good at it you can figure out what happened when you were not there to see it for yourself. You see these prints right here, those are from two different people, you can tell because they were side by side and the striations... um the squiggly lines on the bottom of their shoes are different shapes. One set leads in that direction and the other leads in that direction indicating...?”

Robert looked at JC whom looked at the prints, getting lower to the ground he looked at the faded markings, then it seemed to suddenly click in the young boys head.

”They went in different ways, one went that way and the other went this way.”

Robert nodded his approval to the deduction, it was nice that JC was so curious and easily enthralled but he could only wonder how long until that way of thought got him in major trouble. Either way Robert had to follow one if not both of these trails, he needed a general idea of where these scientists had disappeared to and what had happened to them. Standing up he motioned for JC to follow him, shouldering his Nitro over his back with the strap he took the tranquilizer gun in hand.

”JC climb in front of me here where I can see you, do not wonder off for any reason bud okay? Were going off the road and into the jungle and it is very easy to get lost if you don't know how to find your way back. If you see or hear anything I want you to immediately tell me JC and if I tell you to do something you have to do it no questions okay? Remember if you listen to me you will get to see some really cool dinosaurs, all right?”

JC quickly nodded at the mention of dinosaurs again and they both stepped off the road and into the jungle, Robert wished he could feel so enthusiastic about all this but the fact of the matter was he did not like the idea of a ten year old boy in the jungle where god knows what was lurking. Predators always go for the weakest links in any group and JC's size makes him the opportune target. Leaving him in the car however without any supervision at all was the worst of the two options though so jungle it was. Robert kept the tranquilizer gun trained in front of him as he listened to the surrounding area, it was still silent and that was what kept him on edge. No birds, no bugs, nothing, just complete and utter silence. Something was here, the question that nagged the back of his mind... was what?

”Whats that Mr. Temboo?”

Robert looked up as they came into a small clearing of tall grass, it was quite clear from a distance that there was a mass not more then ten feet away from them, the grass leading and surrounding was trampled down revealing it almost... almost too easily... an icy feeling hit Roberts body as all of this was just... too set up, it made no sense to him but he had no choice but to investigate. Robert pushed forward keeping the gun trained in one hand he grabbed JC's hand with his other and lead him from in front of him. Keeping a watch on the surrounding area he knelt down to what appeared to be the body of man in some rather cheap looking safari clothing, the kind of thing a wannabe survivalist would wear into the jungle.

”JC I need you turn away okay stay right at my side, this is not something you need to be seeing.”

JC turned almost in a huff as he still did catch on that there was a dead body in front of them, thank god for child like innocence. Robert reached his hand forward and grabbed the shoulder of the body and pulled it down from its side laying position. Robert quickly retracted his hand as the entire front of the body was nothing but shredded skin and exposed smelling meat filled with what appeared to be rather large larvae.

Ewww what is that terrible smell?”

JC tried to turn around to see what was going on but Robert put a firm hand on his head and stopped him from looking. The body looked like it had been sliced open in several different locations, it had also been clawed by what appeared to be a three or four fingered carnivore, the neck was completely ripped away leaving a hulking red now purple hole. From the rate of decomposition and the size of the larvae the body had been out here at least for a day or two. Robert silently rustled around the body pulling the sticky bloody clothing around as he found what he was looking for. Pulling a leather wallet from the mans side pocket he flipped it open to see the drivers license. Gregory Thompson the name of one of the scientists from the pile of dossiers Maddie had shown him. Robert slid the wallet into his jacket pocket almost absentmindedly as he looked at the body.

The material he found on the road it was not from this body, which meant it must have belonged to the other who had been running with this man, that alone did not give him much hope that he was going to find that one alive either. The thought suddenly passed through Roberts mind as he thought about the fact that this body had been left here and not dragged off or eaten. Looking at the wounds again he realized that aside from the killing blows the body had not been eaten at all but just left here in the open. Pulling up Gregorys shirt Roberts blood went cold as he saw a circular slash that had spilled the mans intestines, he knew that wound and what caused it almost immediately. The sudden low croak came out of nowhere as it turned into a hiss and then a very low growl, Robert looked up as the blood drained from his face. In the distance he spotted it almost immediately. It stood almost stoically and very still, its muzzled snout was opened revealing the curved fangs as it stared right into Roberts eye's.

”Velociraptor... why was it here?

They never came this far from their home at the abandoned facility and that was only to hunt on the trail. It suddenly made sense, the body on the ground, it was left here purposely, as much as the word made him skeptical this had all the signs of a classic trap. Robert put his hand to his chest as he looked both left and right, he saw nothing but he knew they were there, why hadn’t they attacked?

”This is so boring when are we gonna see some dinosaurs Mr. Temboo?”

Robert jumped as the voice came out of nowhere his concentration broken, the attack came suddenly from the left and right.

”Get down and cover your eyes and ears!”

Robert screamed the words as he released a cylindrical canister, grabbing JC he covered his eye's and ears with his arm and ducked down as there was a bright flash. Roberts ears started to ring heavily as he could hear very angry high pitched squeals of pain. Everything seemed to spin for a moment but Robert forced himself to his feet as he shouldered the rifle, JC was screaming as tears slashed down his face, the flash bang had done its damage, it was far to close to avoid the full affects Robert grabbed JC off the ground in one heavy grab and turned running straight for the tree line, the two raptors who had charged from the edge of the clearing were rolling on the ground still stunned from the flash.

Robert hit the tree line like a man possessed as JC was cradled in his arms still crying, Robert ran through the foliage as his hearing slowly returned, enough that he could hear something crashing behind him, it had to have been the third raptor its distance had protected it from the full affects of the blast. Robert heightened his speed as his adrenaline was pumping through his body, his heart was racing, he couldn’t stop to tranq it, he couldn't risk JC's safety so he had to outrun it and get back to the car, the thick foliage would slow it down and limit its speed and jumping, that was the only godsend. When Robert busted through the last of the foliage he hit the road hard as he saw a car approaching to his complete surprise, who the hell was that!? He didn't care at that point he turned his direction and ran straight for the vehicle. As it stopped fast sliding in the dirt spotting him he barreled around the side and grabbed the back door, he wrenched hard enough in his adrenaline induced taper that he ripped it open regardless of the automated locks and quickly pushed JC in then jumped in himself.

”Go now! Drive!”
Hey, a bit of GM direction is always nice but I think that thus far we have all proven to be both capable and mature enough to pitch in and help run such a sub-plot. The question that we must ask ourselves though... What kind of ghost will it be? Going for a murderous or just misunderstood ghost?

Why not a little of both? Maybe the ghost tried to murder one of us but cant bring themselves to do it and then we have that coming to senses scene lol. There a lot of gaps where we can put in a good backstory. Bully victim, former bully, lonely girl, etc its a pretty wide scope of ideas we can blend together.
