There was a short pause after Dahlia spoke. Sighing, Joni turned to face Fionn and gave the other girl a small tap on the shoulder. When Fionn looked at her questioningly, Joni pointed to Dahlia and cleared her throat. "I believe she's talking to you, scaredy." Joni said lightly, her voice holding no malice despite the nickname she'd given her meister.

"Oh! Um...I..." Fionn's eyes glued themselves to the floor, her voice sounding like a mouse's squeak. "It's alright, I've just never been on a team with anyone but Joni...It makes me a little nervous..." she was barely audible by the last word.

"You shouldn't be!" Joni laughed. "Once you get out there, just wait and see! I'll bet you kick ass!"

Personality:
Fionn is a girl of little words, and when she does speak, it is rarely more than polite small talk. Her image of shyness is only furthered by the fact that she becomes visibly uncomfortable when anyone comes within a couple of feet of her and is jumpy at the smallest surprise. However, her tendency to avoid being talkative makes her an understanding listener who can keep a secret to the grave. Almost impossible to anger, she can still be fiercely protective of her friends even though she shows it in a different way than most. Above all else, Fionn is sympathetic to anyone who she feels deserves kindness, as she herself went without it for most of her life.

History:
Hailing from a little, rural town in Ireland, Fionn's early life up until her enrollment in the DWMA passed without much significance to the present. However, some of her more odd habits and behaviors would hint at some strange going-ons in her birthplace. Regardless, once she found herself at the foot of that massive staircase, she surely would have run off at the last second if it weren't for the little tag-a-long she had somehow acquired during the last leg of her journey to the U.S. Initially unsure of her potential as a meister, Fionn found solace in the fact that her companion had similar fears. Joni, as it turned out the girl's name was, had a rather unwieldy weapon form and was worried that she might hurt her partner more than help them. So, the two of them made a promise to partner up and support each other through thick and thin.

Soul Resonance Technique: "Chain Breaker":
Fionn's weapon grows in size - in Joni's case, to about 26 feet in length - and glows white. The effect of this technique is that anything or anyone struck by the weapon will have any soul connections broken (regular/chain resonance, for example) temporarily. The amount of time that it takes for the connection to reform depends on the strength of the victims' bond. Any physical wound inflicted by the weapon will bleed faster as well.

Soul Detection Skill Level: I'm good at it.

Flaws:
Fionn suffers from extreme "stage fright" to the extent that she would be unable to fight in front of her peers/teachers were it not for having Joni by her side. As a result, she is unlikely to ever be able to resonate well with another weapon or meister, especially in Joni's absence. She gets her feelings hurt easily and may even cry if someone makes fun of her. In terms of physical ability, she would be a serious threat if not for her deafness in her left ear. Without someone to warn her, she can be at risk of surprise attack from that side.

Personality:
Joni is essentially a chatty, bubbly ball of energy in the shape of a teenager. She often handles all communication on behalf of herself and her meister, even to the point of answering questions directed specifically at the other girl. Though she has a somewhat wicked sense of humor, she is often clueless when it comes to mature topics. Her mouth can sometimes get her into deep trouble, even when she's not trying to pick a fight, mainly due to the fact that she can rarely resist an inappropriate joke. However, despite just how obvious her young age can be, she is quick to defend her meister. As a matter of fact, her meister is the only person whom she would give up her life for.

History:
Growing up on a ranch in Montana, Joni was no stranger to the idea of rough-and-tumble adventure when she discovered that she was a weapon. A strange combination of her mother's traditional western-style whip form and her father's martial chain-spear, Joni was practically bouncing off of walls until the date came for her to board a bus to Nevada and become a part of the DWMA. Despite her initial excitement, however, doubts began to weigh heavily on her mind the farther she traveled from her family. Above all, she dreaded the fact that no one might want to partner with her. Despite her own nerves, Joni quickly found someone even more anxious than herself. The girl sitting next to her on the bus was practically shaking in apprehension. Joni wasted no time in comforting her new friend, and found out by attempting to distract her through conversation that the girl was a meister enrolling in the DWMA. Since they both had similar misgivings about their situations, Joni decided to partner up with Fionn as soon as possible.

Though Joni has a compatible soul wavelength, her physical weapon form can be difficult to control with accuracy and has no ability to make deep wounds. In terms of personality, her protectiveness of her meister can lead her to be overly suspicious of others and needlessly put herself in danger.

"I believe that means I win." Joni said smugly, peering over her meister's shoulder and totaling the values of her four cards. "I have one two, two fours, and a five. You have two threes, a six, and a jack." she reclined, putting her feet up on the desk. Like always, Joni had gotten bored waiting for class to start and demanded that Fionn entertain her some manner or the other. This time, the entertainment was a game of golf. Fionn shook her head and pointed to the jack.

"This one is-"

"It's okay, no need to congratulate me for being such a winner and all." Joni cut the older girl off, a devilish grin rapidly forming on her face. Both of them knew the rules very well, but Joni just couldn't pass up the chance to give her uptight partner a hard time. Before she could enjoy Fionn's indignant yet composed retort, however, a surprise announcement floated its way up to the back of the class where the two girls were sitting. "I wonder what they want us for..." Joni murmured as she took Fionn's hand and pulled her down the steps and out of the classroom toward where the other mentioned students were headed.

"That was odd." Fionn commented after the briefing was over. "I hadn't thought we'd done much in the way of showing promise. It's really lucky that we're even in our class at all." she glanced over at the other students. Her eyes went wide and she started fiddling with Joni's hair nervously. "How am I going to fight with them around?" she whispered to her partner, her throat drying up rapidly.

"Don't worry." Joni's pale pink eyes flicked up toe meet her meister's own blue ones. "You have me by your side, remember?"

I will dumb it down so you just feel the radiating heat but every weapon is a Demon weapon, Soul is a demon weapon, Marie is a demon weapon, Patty and Liz are demon weapons. Demon weapon is the name for living weapons

That was one thing that always bugged me. They make such a big deal out of the black dragon being a demon sword, but then turn around and call every weapon a demon weapon. I would personally put this down to inconsistent translation, sort of how Maka's attack varies between witch and genie hunter.

"Hey, just think about how I feel." Sepia teased Skyra. "I'm surprised that none of these little guys and girls have hissed at me." She picked up an older-looking cat and touched her forehead to its. "Look at youuu!" she gushed. "Everyone must love all the little kittens, but you are so charming in your own way!"

Straightening up while holding the cat -who was currently batting at one of her long, brown curls- she looked at Krysthane with curiosity. "Wasn't there some sort of strange graffiti about last time, like for a gang or something?"
