Chizuko Irozaki - Kumogakure ANBU
Putting the Puzzle Together

Chizuko swiftly made her way to the home that the Three Tails had been living in. Wanting to see for herself exactly what kind of a mess the enemy had made was of sudden importance to her. It would tell her alot about what to do from here on because, depending on the nature of the killing done, would reveal to her some part of the enemy's plan. To many it would seem odd, but to Chizuko a dead man could give just as much information as a living witness. Undoubtedly when she would arrive there would be others there who were working to clean it up, keep it a secret from the villiagers, as they should be doing. That was why as Chizuko raced across the rooftops, she did so with urgency. Her visit would be quick. In and out, and then she would report back and find out which ANBU she was unlucky enough to be ordering around.

When she came to the home of the Three Tails, her assumptions were confirmed about the clean up crew. They were ANBU and various medical ninja that worked diligently to prepare the bodies to be moved, and the home repaired to look as if no struggle took place. As she approached the street, she glanced around her through her mask. Though no one took this lonely road for obvious reasons, Chizuko knew she had to be quick just to make sure. Walking through the entrance that was a giant wall, she briefly thought how...prison like this home looked. How fitting. Jinchuriki or not, why the giant walls? she thought, approaching the closest ANBU.

"Tell everyone to stop. I need to take a look around. I will be brief." she said to him. He appeared to be busying himself with a scroll and he didn't look up at her. anger flared in her for a moment as Chizuko waited for this disrespectful shinobi to look at his captain. "We have orders to- Oh, Miss Chizuko. Forgive me. I will tell everyone right away." he would say when he finally noticed who it was by her mask. Her brow would raise but he wouldn't see it. That is more like it. she thought.

She made a kind of shooing motion as she walked past him to begin expecting the household. Starting from the outside, she looked around at the walls, the grass, anything that could resemble a struggle, a jutsu, maybe a tool with how they got in. On one side of the wall at the top, she spotted small notches. Jumping up to get a closer look, she inspected them closely, pulling out a kunai to judge the sides. It appeared to be some kind of hook that was likely used to easier scale the large wall. Standing, she walked along the top of the wall, keeping an eye out for any more of those notches. Again she would find them on the opposite side of the enclosed household, directly across from the first ones she'd found. Below she could even see the crushed grass, and upon jumping down, she used her feet as a guide to match the footprints.

Facing towards the wall. That was how they got in... she said to herself, sure of the fact they didn't simply use the front door. By the looks of it, there was more than a few shinobi that came inside. This was likely a well thought out ambush that had been executed at the right time. One more walk around the grassy yard surrounding the house concluded her outside search. She had seen nothing other than footprints, not a drop of blood or any other sign of a fight or forced entry. Going inside, she would find four other ANBU and three medical ninja who were talking quietly amongst themselves. On one wall were the shinobi guards that were stationed to protect the Three Tails. Ten, she counted, all dead. On the opposite wall were the family members of the host, dead as well. all bodies were uncovered so she could have a look, but Chizuko didn't really plan to inspect them. Instead she called over a medic nin.

"You. Tell me the cause of death of each guard. she said, waving him over as she knelt next to one.

He approached her and knelt as well. "That answer is easy for it seems that they all shared the same cause of death." he reached forward and turned the head of three guards in his reach. All had a single thin line of blood oozing from a lone hole in the side of their necks. "Upon analysis of the bodies by myself and the others, we believe the cause of death was a highly toxic poison. With no other injuries on their bodies, it is safe to assume the poison made quick work of them, killing them at a rapid pace, if not instantly. I believe little pain was felt as well. Though the toxic is an unknown to us, we believe it is composed of various poisions mixed with a. Analgesic...or a pain killer. We even believe its possible there are high doses of poisons that would otherwise be of little harm. The composition is odd and we have already taken samples of the poison for analysis."

Chizuko's eyes narrowed as she looked at the fallen guards. A small twinge of pity formed in her heart as she spoke. "Whoever was behind this wanted to be damn sure these people were dead when they left.... Well, I don't need to tell you the results need to be sent to the Raikage as soon as possible. He will likely tell you to research the origins of each poison you find, if it is indeed a combination like you say, so have that done for him as well. That way we can narrow down other possible villiages and even missing nin within the Bingo Book and see if any poisons found match up with them." she said, standing. She moved to the side with the bodies of the Host's family members. "Cause of death for them?" she asked him.

The nin moved over towards her and shook his head. "We are in the process of analyzing them, but it appeares to be the same. Few injuries other than bruised and blunt trama. We can assume that it came from a fall, however there is one...the father perhaps. Who seems to have put up a fight." he said, pointing to the older looking man. Chizuko went to stand by him and looked down at the body. There was a fist sized bruise on his cheek as well as a bit of smeared blood on his knuckles.

"Where did you find him?" she asked.

"The second bedroom on the left, just down that hall." he pointed.

"Stay here." she ordered him as she began walking in that direction. As she approached the door, she noted it was a traditional style doorway, with the thin, sliding doors. Pulling it open and stepping inside, she noticed this room indeed showed signs of a struggle. There was a hole in the right wall about the size of a man, and it allowed for one to look into the room next door. Stepping through it, she looked around and saw nothing out of the ordinary. That was, until the clouds in the sky would move and a bright thin beam of sunlight would come from above her, shining towards the small futon like bed in the middle of the room. Chizuko looked up and frowned. There was a hold in the roof leading from outside , to the inside.

Now that is something strange... she thought as she turned and left the room. When she returned to where the others were, she nodded to them. "I am done. Be sure to report anything else you find to the Raikage's assistant." she said before walking past them all and leaving the building. When she got outside, however, she didn't leave right away. She jumped back up onto the wall and did a leap onto the roof of the house. Landing silently, she crouched there, looking around for a hole in the roof.

Eventually she found it. No bigger than a coin it was and obvious to miss it. But...why was it here. She lifted her mask off before leaning down to peer through the hole so see what was visible. She frowned as she just saw the room and nothing else. Heaving a sigh, she stood and placed her mask back on. A breeze blew her hair as she looked around. Chizuko could see a good chunk of the villiage from here even though the home was so secluded from everything else. Turning around, she looked at the land past the borders of the villiage, a place where some would simply dream of going.

And that was when a thought struck her suddenly. It was a wild theory, but...maybe. Just maybe...that was it. With a clench of her fists, Chizuko dashed off back towards the Raikage's office. She needed to tell him in person what she had found out, and what she was thinking. If she was right then, they would need to retrieve the Host as soon as possible. For a moment, she feared the safety of the Three Tails.

And then she feared for the safety of the villiage.
Right now!

World Map

"Hm... Yet another threat terrorizes our fair Republic City. My fellow councilmen and women...I urge you to come to a decision. The Avatar must be retrieved. It has been far too long, and I know all of you want to believe that the world can go on without the help of the Avatar...but it seems as though we were wrong. We are not yet ready...for peace." The quiet but firm voice of the airbender was carried through the large room.

There was a long silence as those around the table looked at the woman standing, and at one another. "Very well councilwoman Jinora." one man spoke. "We will send a few to find her. Is her location known?"

"Yes," Jinora would say. "Gaoling. In the Earth Kingdom."

"Of all places..." someone else would say, a woman. "How unfit for the Avatar."

"My sources say she lives in the former Beifong estate. That she often fights in what they call the 'Earth Rumble Tournament' or something along those lines." Jinora spoke as she looked to the woman. "At least her earthbending we can assume is sufficient."

"All in favor of bringing her here."

"No." Jinora said, a hand outstretched. "Not here. Not yet. She must travel...see the world. She must master the other elements before she can face the danger that awaits her here." she said.

"And what of the city until then?!" one man shouted. "Just let it fall into the wrong hands?"

"No." Jinora said, turning around and closing her eyes. "No, my fellow council members. We will fight this force ourselves."

"That is-"

"It is our only option. We must." she turned back around. The young airbender looked at each of them. "We are all the best of benders. With the right push, we can hold off whats coming until she is ready." she paused. "All in favor?"

All hands rose.

40 Years after the last episode of Avatar: The Legend of Korra, Avatar Korra is long dead. In an unfortunate series of events, she died of an incureable disease. No one knows how she got it, or even how she was incureable. The moment she took her last breath, a new avatar was born. Far away in the earth kingdom, a girl named Taru would grow up, aware and afraid of her bending abilities. Focusing mainly on her earthbending, Taru never truely grasped how important her duty as Avatar really was, for she was never called upon.

Until now.

A select few benders have been chosen by the council in secret to travel to Gaoling to find and teach Taru all four elements. Not only teach her bending and how to fight, but show her the world. Teach her how to be the Avatar this current world needs. But...how can they? Under such circumstances, and a time frame of one year...how can they raise an Avatar? Well, that will be figured out in time. For now, they must venture out from Republic City to a world just as foreign to them as it is to Taru who has been sheltered her entire life. And...the new Team Avatar must take whatever the world throws at them.

I will be playing as a Waterbender as well as NPCs needed for the plot, and you will be playing as one of the team members.

My Character

Name: Akari

Age: 19

Nationality: Northern Water Tribe

Affinity: Waterbending

Occupation: She creates intricate, detailed Ice Sulptures for people who host large events, parties and such. It is how she makes a living.

Skills: Healing, Ice sculpture, Stitching, quick on her feet.

Personality: Akari is very adventerous and brave. She will often agree to do something dangerous before others because she feels it is 'exciting'. Despite her occasional recklessness, she is extremely loyal, caring, and helpful. She doesnt give up on anything and always finishes what she starts. While she is not outrightly rude, she wont hesitate to snap at anyone who tries to mistreat her or others. Though she is very well mannered, she is strong and is not afraid to show it. Most of all she dislikes people who show off.

History: Akari was born and raised in the Northern Water Tribe until tensions between the two tribes began to suddenly escalate once again. As diplomatic leaders, her parents had to make a decision wether to allow their daughter to stay during such a dangerous time. Opting to seperate, he mother stayed in the north while her father would take her, at the young age of 14, to Republic City. Eventually her father made his way to become a councilman and as a result, Akari became a target for various uprisings in the city. Though she was attacked and protected without her knowledge, such behavior happening to her, other councils' children, and innocent people, it drove councilwoman Jinora to call upon her and a few others to seek out the Avatar. (More in depth history will be revealed later on.)

Shhhhhh *hugs the both of you* dont fight. Instead help me come up with a better title. Unless you like Raising an Avatar. :3
Okay sorry for the delay! Im making the ooc right now.

edit: is this an argument or a discussion about angry characters?

In Skrubs defense: Zuko.

thats all I have to say on the matter. Off to do GM work. Ooc will be up innnnnn, give me like 30 minutes. ^^

Are you guys as excited as me!? >.<
Mainly because I wanted to keep it the usual small Team Avatar. It makes no sence in sending an army to train the Avatar...at least, not in my opinion. I think it helps with bonding of characters and its just easier to rp with a smaller groul of people. Thats all. In truth I wouldn't reject an amazingly written cs, but I did want to keep it with few people that Team Avatar has been known to have.

@imperfectionist

if you want too sure thing! I think past lives are very important.
