he finds that there are no other inmates in what could be called the "prison" area of the courtyard as they'd most likely not been discovered or had any reason to impound someone. that in and of itself is a statement to the order that was in the camp and the skill of the leaders in keeping everyone in line and doing what they're supposed to be doing however the guards don't really seem to care about what he's doing, as if they weren't needed to watch over him, suggesting that there was magic worked into the cage to prevent escape and tampering. as the day goes on various people bring him his meals which remain simple through out the day, most likely due to the simplicity of the food they have stored and ready which would mean he's most likely getting the left overs from meals. once night rolls around again he sees the girl that had sought advice from him happily walk into what must be the current schooling center for the apprentice mages that had been signed on to assist in setting things up while learning and walk back out after about three hours with a small smile, obviously doing better in her studies because of being able to get his help as a soundboard and thus being given some free time to do as she pleases which she spends by walking over to his cage and sitting where she can't be seen by a passerby and saying in a kind tone "good evening"
