Love the honeycomb lane idea. Let me know if you ever want to do it, or talk about it.
I certainly don't see why not.
Slap some butter on me and preheat the oven, I'm in!
I am having a pitiful amount of difficulty with freaking hiders. Talk about shameful. Finally got it though.

His eyes flicked between the two elves, squinting at the exchange. Maybe he could use that. Leaning back on the railing of the ship in as relaxed a pose he could manage, not noticing the action of the third crew member, and gestured vaguely towards the Dwarf.
"You, ya creaky bag of swill and piss, fetch that chest over here for me. Quickly now, before you die of whatever disease you've got."
Not waiting for an answer, he eyed Renna with a smirk, Raising an eyebrow.
"Never seen a captain take lip like that from a crew man, before. Might as well bend over for the insubordinate twat."
This was going remarkably well, he felt. Perhaps he could convince them to give him their ship, as well....

FC forthcoming.

Name

Jack Martell

Gender:Male
Age:29
Country of origin: Ireland

Bio

Born on the coast of ireland to a widower, he grew up peacefully, working on his father's fishing barge. At about 10, he discovered his of illusion by accidently made a shark appear in the water, while day dreaming of adventures. He thought it was hilarious, though his father, a deeply religious man, was appalled. Jack was taught from then on, never to use his powers, warned physically of what would happen if he did.
The threat of violence or prosecution didn't stop the boy, and he continued to use them up until 15, when father caught him once again, and in a fit a of fear and rage, dragged him down to the local church. His father had only meant for the priests to pray over his boy, but their reaction was a tad more.... extreme. They took Jack, and his father, for begetting this unholy of spring, and felt it best in their twisted way, to toss the both of them off the high Irish cliffs.
Jack survived. His father, the poor man, did not.
Jack, saved by a ship of passing whalers, spent the rest of his teen years working on the ship, both entertaining his crewmates with his powers, as well as luring the majestic beasts to their doom.
At the age of 21 he grew tired of life on a ship, and instead set into the vast countryside, conning people out of their money, and robbing others as well.
He was arrested in London, using illusion to disguise himself as the queen of England, hoping to get free dinner service at a high scale restaurant. The decision to join the queens hand was out of a desire not to join the the inmates in prison.
Or get thrown of another cliff.

Ability: Illusion
Jack Martell is able to cast illusions over people and objects so they appear as something completely different. He can also make it appear as though someone is there, when there's only thin air.

Light is a requirement for his power the more the better
In a low light situation, his illusions will appear patchy, see through or not at all.

Time is also a consideration. Holding up intricate illusions for a prolonged period of time is very taxing.

Also, it is very difficult, but not impossible, to make something big appear small, and vice versa. So for disguises, he needs someone of a similar body type.

Department:Intelligence.

Oh, yes, this sounds wonderful. If I can get in on it, I'd love to. Great idea all around.
Just an interest check. What I'm looking for is a story where the folks make the best of a shit situation, growing friendships, hatred or even love for one another. Let me know what you folks think.
Worth the price... Or is it?

In the year 5168, Humanity and everything that comes with it has spread far and wide
across multiple galaxies, both colonizing planets, and claiming the the already
colonized. The early settlers and soldiers were met with great success on the first
expeditions, setting up the foundation for the now great Empire, feared even into
unknown space.
The General of the First, as those original soldiers are now called, was the first
human to make contact with extraterrestrial life, a humanoid race who called themselves
the She'een. The She'een took a liking to this new, and biologically similar species,
and became the benefactors of the human race, and later their closest allies.
Throguht this alliance, the Empire was forged, with humans superseding the She'een in
social and political status. Tensions grew over the centuries, leading to what began as
a civil war, but has since altered to two empires warring against one another, after
the She'een abandoned the Empire, and Humanity, as a whole.

As things stand.

Now, in the current year of 1568, the She'een are devastated, the longest war in the
history of human race coming to an end. Nonetheless, the brutality continued, as the
current Emperor, Ocenaro, or shithead, as the lower classes call him, plans to make a
final example of the She'een, to show that all who oppose Humanity will be met with a
fatal end.
Even as that war comes to a tragic close, the Empire is still unsettled; A rebellion has
taken form in addition to the half dozen more minor wars the Empire is almost
traditionally engaged in, but none of those are the Empires true concern; Rebellions are
It certainly wasn't the first, and the Emperor was determined to make sure it wasnt the
last.
Warships and expedtions to the fringe of known space have been coming back heavily
damaged, with either all the crew dead, or missing. Several times the have been all body
parts, no heads, other times they were all crammed in the chips head, a filthy slurry
the result. Ships of unknown origin have been seen demolishing outpost and settlements,
with no clue as to where they come from or go. Its been kept under wraps, but the truth
has a way of getting out....

The characters.

With the Emperor desperate to combat this threat, and find out who is behind it, he sent
Special Forces Units to locate and capture a one of these ships.
They failed.
With limited resources, he made use with what he an almost infinite supply of:
Criminals, and the occasional volunteer, offered a pardon and a small fortune for the capture and delivery of
the enemies Technology. They gave the criminals a small Skirmisher class war ship to
complete the mission, with small crews of or 5 or 6. No one has succeeded, many have
died, and at any given time, there are roughly a dozen ships loaded with criminals, the
empires best, and perhaps only, hope.
You are the crew members of one of these ships.

Races
When it comes to races, there is alot of freedom. In this world there are perhaps dozens
of different ones, so go ham.

Locations

Dolovan
The Metropolis planet, capitol of the Human Empire, where the rich and powerful live and
decide the lives of trillions of others. It has a strict immigration policy, allowing only
those they deem worthy to so much as enter the atmosphere. Known as Heaven, by the masses.

The Fringe.
The poor, frontier regions of the empire, filled with outlaws warlords and everything in
between. Most folks here are armed and dangerous, more than willing to kill a partner for
his share. Lawless.
