UPDATE:

The edit button is allowed. Battle duration lasts 30 minutes ( the judge has 30 mins to make a judgement ).

HERE IS A TEST BATTLE FOR ANYONE WILLING TO RESPOND TO IT; NO EXPERIENCE WILL BE GAINED. ( waiting for at least four people to keep the level gap sane ).

A confident smirk and nod of the head, arms out to his side as if to taunt his opponent. He closes his fists firmly and the entirety of the area begins to flash, rapidly, blinding all vision of the field bar the Jester, who stays bold - expressionless smirk fading away to black, when suddenly Lucifer hears the Jesters footsteps edging closer, followed hastily by the sound of a pounce - Lucifer looks up and narrowly spots the Jester flipping stylishly over him wielding archaic twin daggers. A moment passes and the Jester had stricken Lucifer a dozen times, and with one final blow the flashing stops and as he drags his daggers downward through the body of the Light Bringer, the world bounces in their peripheral, and comes to a sudden halt in a carnival full of people. The Jester is out of sight, lost in the crowed....

Name:

Lucifer the Light

Psyche:

His psyche, a force led by his amber eyes, handsome appearance and chiselled body, echoing 'the hero of the wood'. His power that of a beast, and his mercy, that of one sentient.

Imagination:

A sun coloured banner, carried in the wind by a knight; an army, dressed in fine armour staggering behind, depressed. Each knight of race and creed indifferent to the other. The banner sways like silk does. Suddenly, the banner stops swaying and like a shot the army sprints forward as swift as soft crumbling ground under their feet; on the horizon in front of them is the silhouette of one man in unique armour, he has no weapon or shield, and the army do not know him, but they continue to sprint.

Plot

A world on a heartbeats edge, Elohim. The purest, and most perfect, surrealism; a watery essence in the minds of all, the barrier between this world and the next, a canvass for worldly things.

The people of Elohim are energetic, angelic or demonic - but all submissive to imagination, immersed in the energies and spirits of the wildest peace and wrath, fantasies become reality in this heavenly dream world.

A peace of mind in most, like a still lake while the lazy sun beams it's light across the surface, setting, as the stars wait warmly for the darkness of night, so that they may enlighten the way.

A dark void surrounds the sleeper, who in ones zone, is willing and able to create a new world. One full of countless expressions, one with one's own style and grace. The tension rises as one's eyes open, blazing like rising flames; out of nowhere, nature sent forth visualizations, scents, tastes and voices all around and inside one - the sleeper felt rich emotions, like those you would feel in childhood.

The sleeper, now under a lot of pressure; wounded common sense, and only a dreamy pandemonium. Is this reality, or is it fake?! The sleeper raises ones arms up as if one was the Christ, maintaining balance, and then suddenly one falls backward, one's poise sundered, falling downward into the darkness below, spinning and the world spinning with one.

A special abstraction centred ones downfall; now falling lifelessly, peacefully and balanced - all around were reflections of the sleeper, in different lights, showing different emotions. These visions brought back terrible memories, and others were of joy and happiness; some seemed like future events, where as others were like hidden stories of the past.

Slowly, as light as a feather as it floats to the ground, the sleepers descent comes to a halt; safe and firmly landing on the dark pulsing ground. There appears a light in the distance, illuminating a throne, a silhouette of an uncrowned king sat there, expressing a depressed but silent sigh, his chin rested on his fist.

Suddenly he grabs a bastard sword from the side of his throne, psychotically pointing it at the sleeper, eyes wide and smile vicious, "Wake up, sleeper" a choking laugh follows, "You're mine now!" - he pounces forward and begins to sprint at the sleeper, each second he gets closer, and as he gets within reaching distance, he slashes his blade, but a mysterious force blocks the swing and pushes him far back toward his throne. The light fades immediately and the throne and it's owner are to be seen no more.

Gradually the colours and forms of the real world begin to manifest back into existence, fantasy turning to reality. This power, however, the ability to phase in and out of a dream, and a nature that engulfs you in a delusion, is the foundation to Elohim. The aforementioned experience was a mere act in this imaginary carnival, but these acts lead to great peaks and falls, gracious victories and the utmost glory, your fantasy.

Rules

In the world of Elohim, people can phase in and out of a dream state, and the dream state becomes more powerful and immersive through victories and streaks. Battling here is less like a punch, and more like a psychological taunt or flair. The battleground is an endless void that can be moulded and re-moulded; imagine a hypothetical camera that can watch you from any angle, and you could imagine that cameras view visually - but more advanced than that since it can enter and see through your eyes.

A battle consists of a 'imaginary' psychological attack ( that can be ad hominem ), it's encouraged and you're more likely to win if you use style over evil tactics. This is not a rap battle, it's white-rose beauty. A rose can be thorny, so you can employ nihilistic violent imagination, as well as a heroism.

Character Creation

Name: (10- Words for first and second name)
Psyche: (20 + Words)
Imagination: (50+ Words)
Talents: (15 points) ⦁ Wisdom ⦁ Poise ⦁ Courage ⦁ Judgement

To create a character first begin with a name, it can be a maximum of ten characters for the first and second name ( if one ).

The second step is to create a psyche; such as; "his psyche was led by his amber eyes, his handsome appearance and chiselled body echoed 'the hero of the wood'.

The third step is to express your imagination as vividly as possible, this is like the meaning behind the name you chose. For example, if I was "Hysteria", then maybe my imagination would be described as purple-prose chaos-harmonic. It's expected of you to write a very detailed and artistic piece about your imagination.

The final step to character creation are applying points to talents, of which there are only three. Wisdom, Poise and Courage.

Wisdom: if one's wisdom is higher than the opponent, one may dictate the battlefield ( in the dream state ); he controls where, when, why, what and who appears in the story. He also attacks first.

Poise: if one's poise is higher than the opponent, one is defended by psychological attacks that could lead them to a weaker position; poise also dictates ones evasive ability, a high poise means that one can avoid attacks, whereas a low poise may leave one open to damage.

Courage: if one's courage is higher than the opponent, one can perform more attacks ( there is a limit to how many psychological attacks one can perform ); the difference between two peoples courage levels are the amount of attacks one can perform. If courage is lower than, or equal to, the opponent, then you are limited to one attack.

Judgement: if one's judgement is higher than the opponent, one can make a big change to the dream scape, but not describe a new area only a vision of one, the description of how it appears from the current. If it is lower you are restricted to making only a small change which is an addition to the current dreamscape.

If ones wisdom = 10 then one versus another one who's wisdom = 10, then the battleground ( where, when, why, etc. ) will be Elohim itself. The neutral ground. It's typical that these battles will be the most entertaining because it incorporates the world itself.

If ones wisdom = 10, then one versus another one who's wisdom = 9, then the battleground will be chosen by the leader; a dream-state of any choice, any stylistic aspects, everything about the scene is dictated by this participant - who also gets to attack first ( the lesser attacking/defending second ).

If ones poise = 10, then one versus another one who's poise = 10, then attacks can potentially weaken each other ( i.e. making them drowsy, submissive, scared, humiliated, etc. ). Attacks can be evaded by using one of ones attacks ( courage statistic dependant ).

If ones poise = 10, then one versus another one who's poise = 9, then attacks can potentially weaken the lower level participant, but the opposite in the case of the higher level participant - one is granted immunity from weaknesses. It takes two attacks to evade someone's attack with a higher poise.

If ones courage = 10, then one versus another one who's courage = 10, then each participant will have 1 attack, which can be as descriptive as you like.

If ones courage = 10, then one versus another one who's courage = 9, then the difference between the higher level and lower level participants is how many attacks the leader can perform. When retaliating, the lower level participant is restricted to 1 attack.

If ones judgement = 10, then one versus another one who's judgement = 10, then they can both make one big change so it takes judgement as to what to write and incorporates a real judgement skill.

If ones judgement = 10, then one versus another one who's judgement = 9, then the difference between the higher level opponent and lower level opponent determines how many big changes he can make to the dream, and if he is lower he is restricted to one small change.

Weaknesses

There are four weaknesses:

Disorientated: in this case the participant is attempting to avoid the dream because if one enters the dream he will lose the battle. In other words, "don't fall asleep". This comes after a neutral battle where two participants have the same wisdom - a battle on Elohim.

Confused: after a flurry of attacks, it can put one in a position where it's hard to make a comeback or a successful, stylish response to the former. This weakness comes through being overpowered by courage.

Submission: when there is no chance of damaging the enemy, you are in submission. This is based on poise rating; if you cannot weaken your enemy, their wisdom is higher and/or their courage is higher, then you will have no choice but to submit to the artistry of the former.

The Effects of Weaknesses

Disorientated: if you try to write a psychological attack, you automatically lose, but you must write to continue otherwise you lose anyway. Your writing must be completely defensive/evasive. For example, "I ran up the wall and back flipped over the spikes, barely gripping a pole that went along the ceiling".

Confused: this is self-explanatory; you must respond to each attack otherwise there is no immersion and the RPG doesn't work. When someone flurries you with their high courage level, you'll be confused as to what to write next anyway - often resulting in you losing the battle.

Submission: when you're in submission, you must write as if the other participant had won or scored a hit, and this is to prevent you from losing literally. Not evasive, not defensive, but injured, or in an awkward position you cannot get out of.

Winning

The judgement of both participants, on each others pieces; giving a critique, as well as rating out of 10. And a rating out of 10 from a dedicated judge. Weaknesses affect the value of the vote.

You can only gain an extra ability point by battling, and winning, against someone that has 3 total ability points difference.

Your opponents and judges rating of your piece multiplied by your opponents total amount of weaknesses is your score, the highest score wins.
