Ivy nods. “I’ll see what I can do about healing afterwards, but I can’t promise anything.”

Winter shrugs. “Well, looks like I’m a goner.” She frowns at the medieval looking new guy. “What did you say your name was?”
Ivy grabs her throwing knives and the khopesh Jacob had given her.

Winter frowns. “Arena?” ’Theres a wand in there for you.’ ‘Sounds good.’ She grabs her wand and tests it out.
“You won’t be able to,” Ivy promises softly, her heart breaking.

Winter sits with her back against the bars. “Holy shit that was dramatic,” she mutters under her breath.
The fire flickers in Ivy’s eyes. “I told you how I saw you. Why your important to me. I’m sorry if I didn’t take the chance to get to know you better, but you were the first person I trusted when I was fresh off the streets. Whether you knew or cared about my past doesn’t matter, but you saw me and you weren’t worried, scared about who I was or who I could be, or even how I found you. You trusted me. For the others you knew about healing and you always had ambrosia and nectar, and you often helped me to cook or heal. I don’t care if your upset with me now, I’m not giving up on you.”

“We all feel like secondary characters to someone, even in our own lives,” Winter supplies quietly.
Karena’s face blanks. “I assure you, that won’t be the case with me. I’ve trained for ten years to keep my private and professional lives separate, one unable to affect the other.” ’And i refuse to talk to that bastard.’
A fire sparks in Ivy’s eyes. “How dare you suggest such a thing? Do you mean to tell me that you can look back at your pitiful life and honestly say that you were never tricked, like Leila had been?” her voice is cold, but it simmered with quiet rage.

Winter smirks. “The healer’s got a mouth. Who saw that one coming?”
“You were seventeen, the daughter of Demeter. Your power mainly worked with vines that I saw, you love puzzles, you didn't know any card game other than go fish very well, you helped Jacob and I to get together, and you were the first one to be like family to me,” Ivy says quietly, staring at the flower.

Winter shrugs. “I’m hardly an official part of this crowd. Never seen you before, love.”
Ivy just stands by the bars, tears dripping on the floor with a blank face.

Winter lets out a low animalistic growl, pacing the length of her cell, her eyes keenly focused on Leila.
Karena takes a slow breath and manages a smile. “Ms. Sanchos-Matthews, if you please, and I was wondering whether I could join the mission for the Illuminati member tomorrow.”
Ivy hyperventilates and struggles to breathe, tears pouring out of her eyes. “STOP IT! Your right, Leila. We should’ve paid attention to you, and I’m so sorry. I know nothing I say or do will take your pain away, but I’ve been abandoned, and I vowed to never let anyone feel the same way. I failed you Leila, I’m sorry.” Ivy cries softly, unable to say anymore.

Winter continues for ivy. “She’s right. I know I’m still new, but to the rest of you, shame! I don’t know if your too blind to see it or not, but the only way all of us will make it out is together, regardless of how strong we may be, especially when our strengths had been stripped from us.”
