Abram - The Road - Jess

As the soldier drove, he kept glancing in his mirrors, checking each one for any sign of the herd. When he was confident, he used his free hand to ramble through the cd's in the console between the seats. He smiled as he spotted one, entitled The Best of the Century[b] Good, maybe there was some songs he knew. He opened the case and slid the CD into the slot, but made sure the volume of the radio wasn't very loud. He couldn't help but grin more when the first song played... [i]American-Pie, by Don McLean. The man hummed softly, bobbing his head lightly to the tune. Now and then his lips formed the words and he sang ever so softly, which was fortunate for Jess because he was an awful singer. "So bye, bye Mrs. American pie..." The next line was a line he couldn't recall, but he picked up as soon as he found the words in his mind.

Bye, Bye, Mrs. American pie. Drove me Chevy to the levy but the levy was dry
Them good ol' boys, they're drinkin' whiskey and rye,
Sayin' this'll be the day that I die.... This'll be the day that I die.

Abram smiled at the irony of the song. He didn't exchange words with Jess, only sat in the silence and listened to the music. "The day... the music.... died."

Sylar - The Pub - Meghan/Reggie

~The Night Before~

When Sylar was done talking to Reggie, he wandered back to Meghan's room and sat on the bed beside her. He looked at her for a moment and almost felt like he was going to cry. He'd almost lost her... And now Reggie wanted him to leave her with this Hazel chick and join the Outpost Crusade. It was then that Meghan coughed and sputtered, her chest heaving drastically. Phon's bandage work had been stained by her blood and her formerly gray t-shirt was ruined. "Hey, hey, don't try to sit up." He placed a weary hand on her good shoulder, holding her down. "Don't move."

"Did we-" She coughed harshly. "Did we win?" Sylar nodded, his face clear and emotionless, a face he'd tried to perfect when he didn't really care about people... but he didn't keep to his practice when Meghan was hurt... she moved him to tears...

"Yeah... we won... and Reggie wants me to join the scouts..."

~In The Morning~

Sylar woke from his sleep, observing the dim light that peeked through the curtains. He rose sleepily and slipped into his shirt and boots... That bed was comfortable.. He reminded himself to consider thanking Hazel, but knew he really didn't want to talk to her. He reached down to the floor and picked up his crossbow, placing it on the bed. He strapped the quiver to his side and shouldered the crossbow. The man exited the room, careful not to disrupt Meghan's rest. He found Reggie looking for him. When Reggie announced his ultimatum, Sylar nodded.

"I'll be more than happy to put an arrow in those sons of bi*****" He spat. He didn't know why he was so passionate about protecting Meghan, but it came naturally like he was protecting his little sister.... or a daughter...

Abram - Jess

Abram nodded as Jess agreed to come. "I'll find him, I promise." He lead her out to the car and started the ignition. It started with forced effort and Abram slammed hard on the gas. The wet yard was bumpy from the rain of the previous day, and mud splashed the metal frame of the vehicle. The walkers didn't have time to notice the car race from behind the house and jet past them, only to see it drift loudly onto the road and leave them in it's dust.

Abram thought to himself.. In honesty, he had no idea if he could actually find Floyd, but he would definitely try. "Jess, I'll find your boy, I promise you.
Sylar - The Pub - Scouts/Hazel/Nicolas

Sylars face was grim with anticipation while Reggie gave his speech. He listened while the man spoke of Ben fondly... It was true, he was a good kid. He was just so young; he wasn't ready for battle like that. He might've been older than Meghan, but Meghan had undoubtedly been in far more tough situations before they reached Outpost, just a month ago. It was suprising that she was alive - She'd gotten out of a swarm of walkers, she'd pounded out of several firefights, she'd been kidnapped, but she was still alive and thriving... until now, that is... she'd never been shot.

When Reggie was done speaking, the man approached Sylar. He listened as he spoke, proccessing the offer. He'd love to join them and help, but he didn't want to leave Meghan here with a complete stranger. "I'll give you an answer in the morning, let me sit on it."
Abram - The House - Jess

The man hurried down the stairs, towards the back door in the kitchen, intending to go to the car when jess stopped him. She was talking crazy.... there were far too many windows; the horde would break in easily. "Jessalyn, you can't be serious. We're trapped and a horde that size could brake in and over run you easy." He scowled, breathing out hard. "I made a promise to Floyd to keep you safe... I could force you in to the car, but I'd rather not do that to you! Please, I'd rather not stay and get eaten, either."

"Jess, I know how to track a trail and we can find him together. Floyd isn't dumb enough to come around here with a herd swarming the place. He'll take shelter, figure that we've probably jumped and run away. If he's lookin' for us, we have a better chance of finding him or vise versa." He looked the girl in the eyes. "Please don't make me leave you behind."

So for my latest post, I had to NPC a lot of people. I hope no one minds! I'll change it if anyone has any issues.

Everything's cool on my end. I've responded now that I've got access to a computer now.
Sylar - New Orleans - Meghan/People

Sylar barely knew what happened as soon as they touched the ground in the alley. One loud step and the shot of a pistol, followed by a scream from Meghan. Without even thinking, he turned, ninety degrees and released the bolt from his crossbow, downing the man that had fire the shot. Meghan let out another cry of pain, and Sylar saw blood flowing from her right under shoulder. He threw his crossbow over his shoulder, rushing to her side. His blooded pumped rapidly as he heard her wincing in pain: good she was alive. "Hey, hey, I know it hurts, it's gonna be okay."

Heart racing, he slid his hands under her back and under her knees, lifting her up. He practically ran down the street, holding her close to him. He felt all to familiar with this situation; he'd carried her before, but why was this time so hard to do it now? Fear is what he decided it was... He feared for her life. Sylar turned his back to the hotel entrance door and nearly threw it off of it's hinges. He found himself in the presence of one startled girl and a college-aged kid. His breath heaved as he took a moments. "Seasons greetings." He said, over-curtly and dashed into the hallway. "Reggie! Luke!" He shouted.

He turned the corner, looking for his friends. "Luke!" He shouted again. When he found the men, stepped into the room, drawing every eye. His breath caught when he saw ben on the bed, lifeless and motionless. "Oh go- Reggie, th-there was one more. He came out of no where! I need your help, I don't know what to do." He turned, not knowing if anyone was following. He threw his foot into the door of the room across from where everyone was, and he carried Meghan to the bed lay, her down. He looked out to the men in the hallway. "Please, don't let her die..."

Abram - The house - Jess
((Note beforehand: I was told that I was supposed to do this the same day as the war with Haywood, if I read correctly, so apologies beforehand for any confusion))

Abram sat in the kitchen, his rifle lay on the table and he had just finished polishing it. He always made sure that the weapon was in good shape. He picked up the gun and shouldered it. He turned briefly to the window and- Abram froze in his tracks... At the end of the yard, a herd of at least fifteen walkers shuffled toward the house. "Oh sh- Jess!" He yelled up the stairs.

In seconds, he was bolting up the stairs. "Jess!" He went to the door and busted in to find her on the bed. "Jess, we've got to move now. There's a herd coming down the drive way; we have to go through the back and get in the car and find Floyd, but we've got to move now!"
Abram - The House - Jess

Abram had just finished re-assembling his rifle when Jess came up to him. He gave the bolt a hard slide, sending a loud crack into the air, and letting it slide back with an equally loud snap. He looked up as she spoke and gave nods at necessary intervals. "Mhm..." He muttered from time to time. The older man gave the girl a slight smile.

"Lemme tell you a little something; don't be sorry for lyin' to me. It was a good ruse to protect yourself. I did, however, see through your little veneer. You got nothing to worry about." He lay the rifle against the coffee table and folded his hands into a steaple. "I'll be honest with you; I know a little more of this type of situation than you might'a thought."
He clicked his tongue. "See- uh.. I'm 43 years old and my daughter would've been 21 a few weeks ago, but unfortunately she didn't make it through to be with me now. Her name was Tamara, and see, she had a man who started out as this boy that I didn't care for one bit... but she held on to like bush seed on cotton clothes." He chuckled softly. "When I wasn't deployed or at the base, I came home and played daddy bear, I started treating like a little girl even though she was about your age. However, overtime, she grew that defiant spirit and began to prove to me that she was a grown woman just to say "Screw you, I did it!" See, she gained my respect as time moved on and thats what you've got to do with Floyd."

He nodded lightly. "My friend once told me; you can put a rock in a stream but the water still flows. You and Floyd may have bumps, but in the end you'll be fine..."

Sylar - New Orleans - Reggie

"We've not got much firepower, so all we can give you is rifle fire and distractions. We were on our monthly hunting trip and didn't exactly prepare for a firefight." Meghan took her rifle back, and shouldered it as Sylar spoke into the radio. Meghan also took the radio, despite Sylars objections. She spoke into it with no lack of confidence; she'd been in tough situations before.

"Hiya, Reggie, how ya doin? Okay could you find a street sign and tell me what street you're at? If you can get to our roof or too a building close by, we can make a distraction. Just an idea, but if we can get the vantage point, we can take these jerks down in one fell swoop."
