Yeah you should. And it's 100% unlikely anyone period can outrun Magnus unless they kill him, chop a leg off, etc. Or unless its a vampire older than him.

Magnus slowly stood up, a bit stunned. "Well..him.." Magnus thought to himself. Standing completely still and closing his eyes Magnus focused on Dresden, planting a image of Magnus standing directly in front of Dresden. Hopefully that would be enough to distract him. Magnus once again charged at Dresden, right before he reached him he dropped slightly lower, raising up when in reach he drove a powerful uppercut into the bottom of Dresden's jaw, knocking him off his feet.

The downside is that he loses control of himself, which means tactics and planning lose all meaning, and that he can only do this at night, when he draws on the power of the moon. Well, as long as it isn't 100% unstoppable it's ok.

Well, this is new. Magnus thought to himself. If he is going to demonstrate his gift, I shall mine. Magnus allowed one of the claw strikes to hit him, opening a wound on his right shoulder, so he could concentrate on speaking directly to Dresden's mind. He jumped back a few feet from Dresden's barrage of claws, randomly saying various things to Dresden telepathically. Magnus dashed at Dresden, pushing down on Dresden's shoulder and rolling over his back ending up behind him. He sent a series of jabs at Dresden's back and the back his head, before finally issuing a powerful kick directed at the middle of Dresden's back.

It's highly unlikely Magnus will get fatally wounded from a sniper rifle, mixed with his speed and vampires hearing if he hears it he will move, and you better run lol.

A few of the jabs connected, however, Magnus dropped to the ground and performed a swift leg sweep knocking Dresden off his feet. "Very nice, you truly have come a long way to match my skill. For that, I am proud to have chosen the right person to sire." Magnus told him with a grin, thinking of his plan of attack to possibly counter Dresden's. If Dresden were to try the same thing on him he could easily evade the sweep, as he would be expecting it. "Now, get up. Let's finish our little duel before all the fun is over." He said gesturing towards the Enclave.

Matt and Lightning could here the chaos outside, raging on, SOLDIER and vampire alike slaughtering each other. But they both knew that the small amount of SOLDIER outside were no match for the vampire forces. Eventually, the chaos stopped and went silent. Matt listened as closely as he could, he could here Johnathan shouting orders faintly. "Don't let your guard down! They're still there and they will be here soon!" Matt yelled to the group of SOLDIER around him. They were outnumbered, but they were prepared.

Magnus rocked back a bit from the force of the blow before regaining his composure. "Very impressive.." He said before resuming his attack, running around behind Dresden he delivered a swift, but not very powerful kick to his back causing Dresden to lose his balance.
