Travis observed the deadly brilliance of his spells rip towards the dark skies towards their intended target. Coupled with Zoey's throwing stars, Travis' projected lightning found their marks, nor only overpowering the mage's shockwave spell but zapping their attacker like a bug meeting its fate to an electrified trap. The sound of surging ions searing flesh in a quick instant was a near-horrific ambiance as the mage fell back to the ship's deck with a hard-cracking thud.

For a moment, the Untalent looked over his work, noting one man now conceived as a bloody mess over the deck whom had been unable to endure the barrage of multiple discharging firearms before being shot to shreds and the unfortunate fellow whose fate was death by electrocution. Both near extreme outcomes Travis personally would never have liked to bring upon anyone. While he was not a stranger to dealing death out to those whom made themselves as threats, Travis preferred to resolve such matters without spilling blood unless he had absolutely had no way avoid it. Considering his current circumstances, he had no where he can run and there any killers out and about; killing his way to safety was now fact, regretful as it was.

Just before he and Zuri could continue forward, seeing that Zoey was scouting ahead, someone behind and above them began chuckling in amusement, "...Something tells me that isn't a good sound," Travis said under his breath just as he turned his head to the source of the vocal glee.

Travis' eyes found an individual dressed in a nearly-typical sailor's uniform save for the noticeable tears but the most apparent feature of this newcomer was their gear he would see normally being worn by a witch hunter. He then quickly recalled a name of an individual going by the name of Roy whom matched the description, "Nope, not good at all."

Roy 'complimented' Travis' spells in-use but wasted no time into starting conflict with he and his team. Travis saw a glimpse of the incoming daggers that flew right towards him but had little time to react to such an attack, despite mana still channeling into his right hand. He naturally took a step back but it was not going to be enough to avoid the sharp point of Roy's knife.

"Shi-" was all he could blurt out just as he felt legs giving out beneath him. This circumstance was most fortunate as he eyed the throwing knife fly right over his face without a target just he collapsed on to the deck. It didn't take him long to figure out it was Zoey who swept his feet off from right underneath him in quick succession with deflecting the knife meant for Zuri.

"T-thanks!" Travis said as he got back up.

Whether she had heard his compliment or not seemed inconsequential as she bore her attention in berating Roy with disgust. Taking the brief pause in their conflict, Travis refocused back to the mana crystal within his grasp and tapped into the remaining mana it stored, absorbing and refilling his own mana well until he could feel it was nearly replenished. The sense of fatigueless vanished now that he was rejuvenated and ready to participate and not a moment too soon. Zoey made her move by transiting into a local shadow, possibly to attempt to flank Roy was Travis' best guess. But now that Zoey was no longer visible, Travis quickly made his own move and projected two of his cryo runes.

"You better take cover Zuri, this going to be intense!" warned Travis as he activated his spell. Both of the white magical circles discharged, vomiting a duo raging mists directly towards Roy. Given that they were out in the ocean and a storm was already letting loose it droplets, the excess moisture in the air made his attack far more effect as stalagmites of ice swiftly rose forth as his attack froze anything in its path.
Rel knew honesty and its darker mirror when she heard it. However this was likely thanks to her natural way of detecting behaviors and calculating their presented likelihoods. Skylar in this case, dumbfounding even Rel, was in fact telling the truth; she couldn't explain the unnatural though mostly passive event that transpired minutes ago. Still, the way Skylar tried to explain herself echoed a circumstance or scenario she was involved in prior before bring her to this point of time.

While she would like to press her queries further, Rel could pick up on Skylar's sense of urgency and stress, wanting nothing more to continue ahead past Rel's barricade. Seeing that he shouldn't be getting her answers now and no longer held a valid warrant on suspending their entry, Rel complied and dematerialized her fabricated wall of solid light, opening the path to Skylar and the others. "Fair enough," she said.

It was almost immediately that when Rel brought her screen down did Skylar push forward. Rel didn't stop her but continued speaking, "I won't stop you like that anymore...but I will be tagging along. What ever triggered that disturbance caused me to 'freeze up'. I hope you can understand why I can't have that happen."
I'll have a post up by tomorrow.
"Seriously?!" Travis turned his head to Zuri with a surprised expression on his face just as she voiced her reluctance in participating in the ensuing battle. This had nearly dumbfounded him as he recalled she and Zoey fighting Bolsan hours later in what seemed like an intense fight; surely this skirmish was no more dangerous or frightening. With a annoyed sigh, Travis quickly returned his attention to back to suppressing their attackers, "fine, just stay in cover until this is all done."

So far his strategy was in pinning down the patrol was proving effective; he watched as Zoey taking the imitative with his suggestion and successfully nailed one of the crew members as they frantically attempted to stop his attack. Not long after, one of the mages succumbed to the barrage of Travis' possessed firearms as their barrier failed to hold back the hot stream of lead. Travis was astonished as he saw the doomed mage's lifeless body convulse in a mist of red before they collapsed dead upon the metal deck.

The last man and mage of the patrol finally retaliated by unleashing a snap-shot of energy bolts at Travis' team. Zoey cleared out without issue but that only left him and Zuri to handle with the explosive bolts. With little time to respond with another spell, he quickly recalled his hijacked arsenal and hurled them at the energy attacks as desperate defense. The collective grouping of hard plastic and metal on each bolt appeared to have been enough detonate all five of the remaining explosive shots. Travis covered his face as a rush of fumes from the explosions enveloped the area.

Just as the smoke cleared up, Travis noticed that the mage had vanished, no longer in cover but he was soon found overhead already charging another spell; he could quickly tell by his mana analysis that is would be a big one. With little time to spare, Travis squeezed the capsule in his left hand, causing the grey powder to disperse through his fingers. Within his hand now was a glowing mana crystal coursing with raw mana. Travis taped into a portion of his reserves to commune with the shard before quickly channeling its mana into his right hand where three new runic circles have formed.

Travis wasted no time and discharged all three runes a split second after the mage hurled a massive energy shockwave right on top of him. The moment the runes activated, a dark cloudy mass spewed forth from them, followed by a near-blinding fulmination of surging electrons shooting up towards the mage like a lightning strike. Travis' latest spell was certainly his most vicious but also the most inconsistent when observed in earlier trials as the produced ionized streaks had the tendency of not directly hitting their targets. Luckily however, Zoey had also responded to the threat with two shurikens rapidly spinning towards the mage and their devastating attack. This unintended stroke of ingenuity guided Travis' lightning bolts right towards his targets.
College has been a tad rough these past few days but I should have a post up later this evening.
I'm still game if everyone else is.
"Then lets get-"

Travis' sentence was cut of the moment two of the ship's crew members Zoey nearly fried quickly rose of cover and retaliated. One sailor let off a couple discharges from their shotgun while one of the mages that survived the barrage let loose a horizontal surge of magical energy down towards then. The counter attack was too fast for Travis to produce a proper defensive response and instead he shouted with urgency, "hit the deck!"

Travis threw his own body forward on to the metal floor in a desperate effort to evade the attacks. While the instance of the moment was quick, he could vividly hear buck shots zipping by and ricocheting wildly off the behind them just before the mage's magical wave of energy sizzled overhead as it sliced into the frame work of the containers. Not wanting to offer another chance for the crew to continue their reprisal, Travis turned on to his back and reached his hands out towards the entrenched sailors, his aura radiating green after citing a gothic verse. The firearms he had commandeered before quickly flew up and dived in just a few meters in front of the ship's defending personnel. It was then the amassed row of possessed rifles and automatics begun firing wildly at them with a flurry bullets flying towards their general positions. It was evident that Travis' spell was not keen on accuracy as the weapons recklessly assaulted the crew rather than discharging skillfully aimed bursts but it nevertheless served its purpose to suppress the threat to his team.

"That should briefly hold them. I hope," said Travis as he pulled himself back up. Zoey was right, controlling the firearms was demanding quite a bit from him. Sweat was already forming across his face as his spell slowly drained him of his mana and stamina as he continued to maintain it. But anticipating that he would likely need to tap further into his mana well's reservers, he reached into his coat to retrieve one of the grey capsules he had brought along before turning to his teammates, "Think you guys can flank 'em while I have they them pinned?"
Just throwing it out there; I'll be posting later tonight.
Just after Travis voiced his suggestions, Nemo was more than happy to address their predicament with trigger happy violence as he armed himself. The Untalent nearly objected to this statement but ultimately, it was perhaps their only answer now that the ship's crew outside had found their container storing their munitions. Sparring little time, the crew outside disengaged the runic lock and then pried the container's doors open, only to be met by Nemo's skillfully executed fan-fire from his revolver, dropping all of them dead.

With coast now clear for the time being, everyone made their way onto the bloodied deck while the ship shifted postures as the seas became rougher. Travis noted that the weather was getting darker, heralding the worse of the storm as flashes of lightning could be seen close by and the roar of thunder echoing through out the region; wherever that was. Just as Nemo mirthfully predicted in a wager no one was going to participate in, the ship's alarm blared having been likely triggered by someone nearby having witnessed the sudden carnage. Soon the vessel's main bridge structure encompassed itself in a magical barrier as security protocols were now in effect. Travis surmised this was a precaution in preventing the ship from being hijacked.

Nemo declared the bridge as their new objective and pointed out that the barrier was being projected by a couple of emitters placed both inside and outside the ship. He had also discussed then detailed his plan to have their lot split up into two teams to deactivate both emitters but also warned that the resistance that they may encounter would come from Seidon's own vanguard of thugs. It became obvious that Nemo had gone into great lengths in gathering this information so they would be all the more prepared for the tasks set before them.

"Seem pretty clear to me," Travis replied after Nemo inquired if anyone had concerns they wanted to bring up, "though while I'm not usually thrilled in operating a firearm..."

Travis' voice wondered off after having found a particular article in his tome he'd been skimming through the entire time and begun speaking in old gothic as he enacted an incantation. As he cited the tome, Travis presented his right hand now imbued with a eerie green aura towards the munitions. The cases storing the armaments suddenly shook, almost violently even until they broke open, revealing a number of firearms flying out in the same creepy aura. The collection of rifles, automatics both compact and full sized, and other conventional guns loaded their magazines and shells and cocked into combat readiness as if some unseen entities were actually operating them.

"...I wouldn't reckon you'd be opposed to us taking all of them would you?" said Travis having finished his spell and turning to face his team , bearing a clever grin on his face. He then looked over his shoulder towards Zoey and Zuri, "you guys ready?"
"Um, thanks?" Travis couldn't assess immediately if Nemo was countering with argument or a compliment.

While distracted by the external activity that influenced their container, Travis had failed to notice Raiya accepting his canteen and downing it thoroughly. Upon receiving it back, Travis felt the lightness of the canteen and even examined its port and well past it in hopes of there being any water remaining. Unfortunately he found none.

"...yeah I'll hold ya too that," said a disappointed Travis as he tucked the canteen back into his coat, "hope you don't have to go during the trip."

Per Nemo's advisory, Travis made himself comfortable where sat, knowing that their stowaway voyage would likely take a longer while before the ship reached its fated destination. There wasn't much conversation during the down time which Travis was satisfied enough with. As usual with his own moments, he felt the need to at least make himself productive by drawing away at his notepad towards a new spell for later. Time would eventually pass without anything alarming. The occasional patrol outside from the unwary crewmembers would come and go without batting an eye to the hijacked container. That however soon changed when a number of voices congregated outside which drew Travis' attention from his work. While the hull of the container naturally muffled the sound from the outside, it did stop Travis from adequately hearing one someone ordering the assembled personnel to find a shipment of weapons they had brought with them.

"Munitions? That doesn't sound good. Wait..." Travis commented aloud but before he could continue on, he thought he heard the sound of a steel door creaking open. Another one soon followed. Travis quickly pressed his ear to their container's hull and soon made out that the sounds he was hearing were coming from other containers nearby, "oh hell, they're searching the containers."

Travis then backed away and turned to see Nemo and Raiya almost scrambling to unveil the cargo stored within their occupied container. As it so happens, their container was the lucky number storing the weapons the crew were looking for. Had it now been for their situation turning dire, Travis could almost see himself sarcastically justifying his earlier statement to Nemo. Though if he would follow through with it was however another matter entirely.

"Can't go outside without drawing attention to ourselves...unless you're willing to go guns blazing..." Travis advised following Raiya's vocal concern, It was then he realized what he just unintentionally said and quickly produced an elaboration, "...figuratively speaking though I suppose being literal wouldn't be out of the question."

Travis then produced a tome and began quickly shifting through its pages, "my only other idea would to stay where we are, assuming if anyone has an awesome illusion spell they'd like to show off."
