Anya continued looking for the book, eager to get some reading snacks as quickly as possible. She came across other numbered volumes, including titles about medicine and surgery, but there were no knight books. She moved on to the next case.

"This is kinda fun," said Anya, "I like finding things. I'm a good finder, you know. We'll find Sir Jerry in no time, I'm sure of it. And then you can read to mister Elric and I."

Anya smiled when she imagined being read to with mister Elric. That would probably make him her new friend; her first one.
Well, if Apoalo doesn't post within the next day or so, I'll probably write something anyways. I've been given plenty to react to, after all.
Junko breathed a sigh of relief when the assault stopped. It seemed as if the power of the love that only two men could have finally brought the monkey to his feet, and Junko smiled slightly knowing that she was already teaching another world about the purest, most beautiful love in existence. As she joined with the rest of the group, she heard snippets of the other's conversations. Most of them were discussing the situation at hand, and Junko kind of wanted to join in, but she had such a tough time talking to people.

Her ears perked up, however, when the boy that reminded her of TK from Angel Beats! (Who she often shipped with Matsushita) began going on and on about the west. She kind of thought that the west was cool too, after all; mainly gay cowboys like in Brokeback Mountain, but she liked other foreign media as well.

Junko quickly took out a notebook and began sketching a picture of James K. Polk (Which she had actually done a book on), but in a more realistic style and less homosexual than she usually drew. She shifted quietly over to Katsuo, and showed him the portrait.

"L-like this?" she mumbled, her eyes to the ground and her hand trembling.

Speaking of TK and Matsushita, though, she bet that this yankee kid would pair really well with the foreigner. She'd have to draw some pictures later of this new pairing to see if it worked, but it seemed pretty solid.
Anya nodded, and immediately began looking for the book that Remington wanted. "Sir Jerry" with some numbers tacked on. It sounded like a series of books about knights! Perfect to read to a sick friend. Mister Elric's buddy really was kind and considerate.

"I'll check the book case at the end and work back," announced Anya, climbing on the thing so that she could get a good look at the top. She would find 'Sir Jerry', and then join Mister Elric and his friend for a day of heroic knight stories like the ones her papa told. She wondered if she was allowed to bring snacks.

"Can I have snacks, mister Elric's friend?" asked Anya, wobbling slightly on the shelf.
Anya thought about this question for a minute, and then shrugged.

"I don't remember, but it's OK. I put it back right where I found it; In the area you were looking at earlier."

Anya's eyes widened a little as she remembered Remington taking one of the books form over there, and she gasped.

"Mister Elric didn't need that book, did he? Oh, I hope he can still read it. I was so concerned with cleaning up the mess that I forgot it might be important. Though the pictures weren't very pretty, so it probably wasn't a very fun book."

Anya looked around the room, worried. She knew that if someone just went into her house and soaked one of her books in milk, she wouldn't be very happy. She needed to help mister Elric more so that he wouldn't think she was a bad girl.

"W-what else can I do to help? I want to get mister Elric better as soon as possible!"
Anya waved goodbye to Remington as he left, and continued playing until he got back. She ended up spilling what she was certain was some very rotten juice from a cabinet with a lot of bottles, and thought maybe mister Elric was sick because he drank some.

"Mister Elric's Friend," Anya called out as Remington returned, "I found some rotten juice! Maybe that's why mister Elric is sick. Nothing like the milk I spilled earlier and had to use another book to clean up."

Anya looked around the study, marveling at the mess, "Is what you need to do help me clean up? Because you were playing in here too, and I could really use the help. Or do you need to get medicine? Or a present? Is it more fingerpaints? Mister Elric's Friend? Can I help?"
Anya raised an eyebrow at the man. He seemed to be breathing pretty heavily, and his face looked weird. Maybe he was sick too, or caught whatever Elric had. One thing was for sure, though; Anya had to make certain he was OK.

"No," replied Anya, "I only painted in this one."

Anya paused for a second to collect her thoughts before continuing.

"Mister Elric's friend guy? Are you sick too? You're acting funny. Do you want me to help you into a bed or go find some medicine?" asked Anya, genuinely concerned for the man's well-being.
"Oh! you mean the paintbook," said Anya, rifling through all the books she considered painting in before locating the one she used. The girl held up a copy of On Glyconea Fulquea, frowning.

"The paint was watery and smelled kind of funny, so I couldn't make very good art with it."

Anya flipped through the pages of the book, showing Remington all of her beautiful pictures which happened to cause much of the ink to leak and become illegible.

"See? This one's of papa and me, and you can kind of make it out."

There were two crudely drawn stick figures in light red on that page, one of which was tall and had some very blocky armor while the other had long hair and a dress. They were labeled 'papa' and 'me' respectively, and both figures were smiling.
Anya toddled after Remington as he walked around the study, looking intently at all the things he was looking at and watching him pick up a green box. She didn't know why a sick man needed a green box, but maybe there was medicine or a toy in it.

"Oh! Yes, I saw a bottle just like that," chirped Anya, happy to be of help to Mr. Elric. The girl skipped over to the drawer where she had left the thing, and presented the now empty bottle to the guard.

"Sorry I used up all the fingerpaints. I didn't know Mr. Elric would be sick, because he seemed just fine only a couple of hours ago," stated Anya sadly, "But it wasn't very good fingerpaints. I bet you could get some better ones at the market! That can be your present!"
Anya's eyes widened as she stared up at Remington. How could she ever have doubted such a good friend? The fact that a strange man bit her and made her a vampire was no reason to doubt all the strangers probably.

"It's OK," squeaked Anya, "I've been playing around the study, so I bet I could find whatever it is he needs! You just tell me what it is, and I'll help!"

Mister Elric really was nice, it seemed, and he let she and her father stay there. Anya was going to help however she could. As a matter of fact, she got an idea. A helpful idea! Anya got a wonderful, helpful idea!

"Wait, I'll search the study for the thing, and you can go out and get mister Elric a 'get well' present," said Anya, smiling. This was probably one of the best ideas she'd ever had. It was the perfect plan.
