Mimi nodded to herself as she took in the opinions of the group around her. Somehow, creating a name seemed to mean quite a bit to each of them and they all had a different idea as to what it should be. Mimi just didn't get it, but then again she was young yet. She at least knew that she was happy to get her own name when that happened, so maybe it was something similar?

"Well, Alice does have a good point," Mimi interjected, "I don't think we're much of a 'Whispers', but-"

And then Mimi was cut off by the entrance of yet another new man. He seemed to talk a lot, but ultimately ended up saying very little. Mimi remembered that big sis said something about people who spoke a lot and acted like they were smarter than everyone else, and while Alice seemed to come close, this guy hit the nail on the head.

"Well, mister," she addressed the newcomer, "I don't really think anyone was squabbling, but instead discussing. That aside, you say that we were arguing over something irrelevant, but then you go on to suggest your own name for the group instead of just helping settle the ones we already have on the table. Thus for an 'irrelevant' issue, all you've done is stir the pot when what it needs is to be off the fire."

Mimi shook her head.

"I don't know that we'll get anywhere quickly like this. Why don't we just let Vulthathar decide between each idea suggested? That way it will be fair no matter the outcome. Not to mention, he probably knows better than we what makes a good party name. What does everyone think about that?"
Mimi eagerly took a chair and a mug. She hoped that she could save the mug to eat later, because it looked just as tasty as the hot chocolate. The chair and the blanket really were quite comfy, just as Alice had said they would be. Magic really was incredibly amazing, and so was the wizard that did it. Mimi then went back to reading the contract and confirmed that the chair really was excellent for reading as well. Having seen nothing amiss, she soon signed it and held the contract out for Vulthathar to take. She then looked to the new Hobgoblin arrival.

"Oh, hello there Bumble! I'm Mimi the inconspicuous Human girl. Isn't this amazing? Have you ever seen magic like this?"

Mimi wriggled around in the comfy chair to get more properly acclimated to it before speaking again.

"Whatever our name is, I'll be just fine with it. As long as everyone gets along well, it shouldn't really matter right? Compared to important things like that, what is a name?"
Mimi's eyes grew wide as she observed the wondrous miracle that Alice had created. All thoughts aside from this fantastic spectacle exited her mind at that moment, and Mimi's fear from earlier was all but erased. There was no contract, there was no scary man, and there wasn't even a Hobgoblin woman walking past her to the bar. There was only the most amazing magic she had ever seen.

"Great World Mimic," she blurted out as Alice finished, "That was far more amazing than contract-poofing! That was the most amazing thing I've ever seen! You really must be a great wizard with a skill like that!"

Mimi practically undulated with excitement. She felt a little inadequate compared to someone as fantastic as Alice, but that just made her want to work harder. Truly, this world was filled with even more amazing things than she could comprehend.

"H-how many times can you do that? Can you do more than one at a time? Could you make a chair for me? Does it come from somewhere, or does it just materialize from nothing? How do you learn a thing like that? Is there a book I could read and be able to do it too some day? What is the staff for? Is that beverage tasty?"
There was no doubt that, although this man was trying to make amends, he was absolutely seedy. Just like the tavern, except the tavern was charmingly seedy. Mimi continued to eye the man with suspicion, even though he said he was a lady-protecting hero of justice. She bet that a cannibal kidnapper would want her to think just that.

First impressions were important to the young, impressionable, and naive Mimi. She hid behind the small wizard, because that girl didn't seem scared, and continued to scowl at him.

"I... I'll decide if you're a good guy for myself, thanks," she replied to the man. Until he showed her otherwise, Mimi would keep an eye on this person. With that, she regarded the wizard who she was hiding behind.

"I didn't say you were lesser, though," she murmured, before adding, "Wait, you can turn any room into a relaxing reading den? Really? That's the most amazing thing of all! May I see? I'm Mimi, by the way. Mimi the innocuous Human girl."
Mimi isn't a teenager, though. She's four.
"But you just lit a cigarette, and this man poofed a contract," Mimi replied to the tiny wizard a bit nervously, "But, um, I didn't mean to imply that you were... lesser. I truly didn't seek to hurt-"

Just then, she felt a strong hand clamp onto her shoulder and saw a man lean in out of the corner of her eye. A hooded man. Her eyes widened in fright, and terrible thoughts swam into her mind as he spoke. What if this stranger was one of those very ruffians? A ruffian whose only joy was bringing his meaty fist to strike the soft flesh of fragile Human girls? Or worse, he could be a kidnapper like big sis had warned her about.

Then, he began laughing. A horrific laugh that told Mimi that, without a doubt, this man wanted to eat her tonight. Her eyes widened even more, and she quickly darted away from him. She gazed into the visage of he who had accosted her, and saw only a smile. A sinister smile. He spoke now to the Demonoid, as if nothing had happened. This was perhaps the most frightening of all.

"H-how can you trust him? How can we trust you? You want to make me your dinner, I know it! Well, I don't taste very good," she cried out. She hoped that that fact alone was enough to get him to leave and not try to eat her.
Mimi's eyes lit up as she observed the young wizard, and clapped at her amazing feat.

"Incredible! It's real magic! A real wizard," she cried in amazement, "And even though you choked while praising your own constitution, you were able to continue naturally like it was nothing! I'm very impressed."

Mimi nodded, grinning widely.

"But you really shouldn't smoke. Big sis says it's bad for you."

She then turned to the Demonoid. Surprisingly, it seemed as if he was the person she was supposed to meet. She clapped once again as he materialized the contracts. Magic was everywhere today, and it was magnificent. Was this just daily life for professional adventurers?

"Ah, that was even more impressive than that girl's," said Mimi, eagerly taking the contract. She then began reading it almost hungrily, eager to dissect her first real contract. She'd heard about them before, but had never been asked to sign anything. This day just kept getting better and better.

"And thank you for giving us the same room, sir. Fragile Human girls like we both are should certainly be kept from ruffians that might do us harm."
Mimi had began her new journey of discovery excited and overjoyed at the prospect of visiting many new locales and meeting lots of different people. Now, however, she was all of those things as well as very cold. The cloak helped somewhat, but it was never quite so frigid back at home and the Mimic was unused to this temperature. Mimi stopped on her way to the tavern to grab a large, nice-looking rock off of the ground and place it in her backpack. It would be good food for later, she thought.

It was her first adventure for the SODE, so of course she was somewhat nervous as well. While she personally didn't like the idea of killing other Mimics, it was the researching aspect that drew her to work. The SODE had all sorts of resources that she could make use of, and the fact that parties were easy to find would allow her to explore dungeons and research freely without having to worry about being alone in a hostile environment. That aside, she assumed that any extermination order had to be for a good reason.

She soon arrived at the tavern, and quietly opened the door. Stepping inside, she quickly closed the door so as not to let the frigid air in and pulled down her hood. Silky ebony hair cascaded down her shoulders and perfectly framed her warm, kind-hearted smile. To best interact with humanoids, it was best to maintain the facade of being Human. While Mimi was a terrible liar, her perfect mimicry spoke for itself and covered any falsehoods. To these people, Mimi would just be a weird Human girl. Who was far too strong for her size. And who could somehow communicate with dungeons. Probably nothing too abnormal to be believed.

"Wow," she cried, looking around the area in amazement, "A real adventuring tavern! It's seedy-looking and smells of smoke and alcohol and everything!"

Her eyes gleamed in excitement as she looked around and spotted two other patrons.

"Oh, and a real Demonoid offering a real little girl drugs! So many new experiences," she remarked, more to herself than to anyone else. She continued looking around for the group she was supposed to meet up with.
Excellent. I'll make a post later today.
Name: Mimi
Gender: Genderless, but takes a female form
Age: 4
Race: Mutant Mimic
Character Concept: Organic Mimic

Physical Appearance: Mimi, in her default form, is a horrific amorphous mass of sticky pinkish goop that looks much like a gigantic amoeba. Her default form, however, is quite different from the one she takes most often. Normally, she looks much like a human girl in her mid-teens of average height and weight. She has long, straight black hair and emerald green eyes, and her skin is lightly tanned. She wears a set of dark robes with green outlines that look like landmasses.

Equipment: Robes, a diary, ink and a quill, backpack

Personality: Some of the first words that come to mind when one thinks of Mimi are ‘strange’ and ‘awkward’. Because she is largely unfamiliar with humanoid customs and society, she tends to do things most consider ‘odd’ often. What she has learned, however, was from a kind woman and thus she emulates kindness as well as she can. She takes joy in helping people, and likes to learn more than almost anything else. There is an inherent eagerness to her personality that pervades everything she does. Well, eagerness as well as a profound naivety.

Goals: Mimi wants very much to learn, both about humanoids and about her own Mimic roots. She also wishes to someday fit in to humanoid society. Her greatest goal, however, is to be able to communicate with the World Mimic.

Background: Due to a profoundly rare and strange mutation, Mimi was born an ‘Organic Mimic’, which is to say that she mimics living beings rather than environmental items or materials. One day, after having mimicked many different creatures, she saw something strange that she had never seen before. A Human crossed her path, and Mimi mimicked her. The woman was incredibly confused and defensive at first, but curiously observed the thing that appeared as a smaller version of herself before making any judgements. After a little observation, it seemed like Mimi meant no harm. If anything, the creature seemed almost defenseless. The woman ended up taking Mimi with her, and taught the Mimic all sorts of things that she absorbed like a sponge. Eventually, they worked out what Mimi was, which opened up all sorts of ideas. Were there others besides her? What did this mean for Mimics? What implications could be made about the world? Mimi had to learn more about Mimics, and about herself. To this end, Mimi left on her own journey which the woman endorsed by giving her a home-made cloak to keep warm. It was embroidered with outlines of landmasses, based on Mimi’s idea that the entire world was just a very big Mimic and that she was born to give the World Mimic a form that could explore things like a humanoid, because it was also curious just like her.

Racial Traits: As an Organic Mimic, Mimi can perfectly mimic the forms of similarly-sized animals. She prefers humanoids, but she could also become a dog or a fish. Instead of consuming organic life like Material Mimics, she instead consumes inorganic matter like gold and jewels. She can produce extra limbs similar to pseudopods from her non-amoeba form like Material Mimics do, but hers aren’t as adhesive because she doesn’t need to catch moving things. The acid that she can expel from these appendages to break down material, however, is much more corrosive than a normal Mimic’s. In addition, she is incredibly strong and durable and heals quickly like other mimics. These factors stay consistent throughout her forms, so she’s never stronger or weaker depending on the form she takes.

Known Skills: Mimi can speak Common fluently, as well as communicate with fellow mimics. She has good reading and writing skills, and is an incredible learner. She knows quite a bit about nature as well as bits of various lore, but she hasn’t had the time yet in her short life to learn a large variety of skills.

Known Spells/Powers:
-Negotiation: Mimi can ‘negotiate’ with Dungeon Mimics to change the terrain and layout of an area. Currently, her skills as a negotiator only allow simple things like ‘Lower that platform a bit’ or ‘shrink that pool’. When she becomes better at negotiation, however, she may be able to get a Mimic to create a pool of acid under an enemy or put a number of openings in a labyrinth to make it easier to navigate. This negotiation is not a strict agreement as much as temporarily exerting her own will over localized parts of a dungeon, but she must be able to vocalize her needs for it to work.
