Going to start focusing on finishing my post in about ~30 minutes.

EDIT: Pausing to watch the debate tonight.
Well, let's go ahead and discuss this.

With Clock leaving, and with a new NRP cropping up in the internet check section that looks REALLY interesting to me, and with my own duties as a GM in a thread coming about... I dunno. I'd have stayed if Clock was staying, but a reboot will require a new thread, a new hunt for recruits, and very possibly a hunt for folks who have very different posting schedules than me.

Now, if I'm not "required" to post at an incredible rate - as always, I favor 1 / week or 1 / 2 weeks for IC posts - then I don't mind sticking around for a reboot. That'd depend on who all would be staying and who the GM will be. To be frank, if neither Clock nor Dinh was the GM, I don't think I'd choose the reboot over this new thread that's cropping up.

If Dinh decides to stay around, I'll probably stay around. Clock's gone; that point was made clear, and that's understandable. So, for me, it's all about the Aaron-man.
Also, concerning the questions, I've decided to try and speed up the voting process slightly by presenting 2 questions at a time. So, every couple days there will be 2 questions for everyone to answer for a total of 12 questions over the course of a week and a half (roughly).
As a heads up: with 4 accepted players I'm ready to start on the 12 of this month (Saturday). More people are still welcome to apply. I'm willing to host up to 8 players at the maximum, though my most comfortable zone would be 6.
Not going to say when my post is gonna be ready. I'm waiting for a response to a couple PMs.
@ShorticusFirst, I know you said we'd be ICly voting on certain aspects of our clan's history starting on the 12th. Can you tell us a bit more about that? I'm guessing you'll present us with different options and we'll vote for whichever ones we like.

Essentially, yes. There are a couple questions which will be open-ended, but they're not exactly essay questions. They're things like "What is the name of the clan?" and "What is your favorite dessert after a good raid?"

How do our characters come into play, though?

Your characters are not involved in the voting process (which will take 1-2 weeks). However, at the end of the voting process you may have to edit your character sheets as a result of your clan history being something you didn't expect, or you may just want to add to your clan history.

Also, will we be discussing any past interactions between our characters during this portion as well? Or is that a topic for us to discuss amongst ourselves?

It's not part of the voting process, but guys: you are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to do exactly that. Talk to your fellow players. Work out how you may know each other. There's only ~600-800 people in this village, and you're all on the Council, so chances are you've spoken with each other at some point.
Mercenaries. I LOVE mercenaries.

I know WH40k much better than I do WHFantasy, but damn do I love mercenary roleplays. I'll be honest, I'm a little worried in that Warhammer in general tends to be very Grimdork (note the 'o' instead of an 'a'), but so long as we go in understanding that and are ready to take it over-the-top (as is humorous), I'm cool with that.

How often do you want people to post? I can post 1/week pretty reliably. More than that is dicey.

If I were to join... Honestly, halflings need some love. Halflings always need some love. I'd also consider playing a greenskin of some kind because greenskins.
So, let me apologize again for the supreme tardiness. Let me also say AWWW READY FOR RUMBLE RUMBLE TUMBLE JUNGLE YIS YIS BANG BANG WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Maxwell couldn't help it: he chuckled. He chuckled because he couldn't argue with much the woman said. It was surprising that she had such a good grasp of the situation, at least to him it was: he didn't get that wise about things until he was in his thirties. She seemed to already grasp the implications of everything involved in the event.

"Glad to know there's at least one good head on someone's shoulders around here," he said, looking away from Sabrina and over at the other FRAMEs in the bay. The whole lot of them looked to be in shabby condition. It wouldn't take much for the XCD to dispose of the mercenaries in whatever way they wanted. Sabrina's caution was good advice.

"One thing stands out," he thought aloud. "Seems the one - Kat - thinks the fighting's always been about more than money. Seems to think there's something wrong with soldierly discipline, too. Might help if an actual soldier on the team helped ease her into the setting, hm?" Maxwell tapped his PADD to check the time. He nodded to himself, then looked over at the woman working on her FRAME. He'd talked entirely too much.

I must sound presumptuous, he thought to himself, or pushy, or both.

"Time until arrival is close. Best get yourself cleaned up within a couple hours." Maxwell took one last look at Sabrina's handiwork, then nodded approvingly. "FRAME looks spiffy."

With that, the middle aged man started packing up the cleaning supplies he'd borrowed. The only thing he thought would be difficult to put away was the ladder, but he was surprised with how lightweight it was and how ingenious the collapsing mechanisms were. Probably some new, cheap alloy, he thought to himself as he put it away. Before long, he was out of the FRAME bay.

It didn't take Silver long to prepare himself for the next meeting with the XCD military. He took a quick shower, did his usual morning shave, then got into his pilot's gear. He took his time cleaning his personal weapons, had a good breakfast, and then started reading all the data the Panthers had on the XCD military's protocol. He wanted to be ready.

The hour was getting closer and closer to the time when the ship would dock in XCD territory. Despite everything, Silver didn't feel nervous. He felt...

Well, frankly, he didn't feel much. It was just another job, one more wave of missions before he could get to doing what really mattered.
